Midnight Commander fails when entering directories with special chars

I'm not sure if I should tackle this problem here, but here it goes.
Few days ago I installed Arch, and I'm pretty happy with it. It works lean & clean, but there are still some issues that irritate me. One of these is MC, which acts kind of odd.
When I enter a directory containing some "special" characters in it's name (eg. "directory_name_has_underscores") it messes MC's view up displaying a warning message saying: "Cannot change to: /prefix/directory_name_has_underscores". However, I can browse through the (with disorted view) directory's contents, until I do Ctrl+O, and return. If I do that I get back to the /prefix/, i.e. the place, just before entering the directory "directory_name_has_underscores".
I used Slackware before, and haven't experienced any problems back then.
Those may help understanding the issue:

It needs a patch since a recent bash update. I would suggest enabling the community repository in pacman.conf and installing mc-utf8 instead, which (a) has been patched already and (b) works with utf8.

5.2 used escape char (\) also, but no effect
5.3 when searching with single char, it is giving error (ORA-29902,ORA-20000,DRG-51030)
5.4 getting the above error with wild card chars (& ,_, (),{},[])
So, please explain the clear scenarios, why am getting this error , and how to get the proper results.

Have you tried adding the / char to the printjoin characters?
Indexing can take a lot of time, depending on the amount of data and your machine's power. You could try to parallelize the index creation and / or assign more memory

Default due date , payment method when posting invoice with Special G/L

Hi Gurus,
I have a question is when I am posting an invocie to a vendor (FB60), Due On date, payment method are automatically calculated based on the defaulted baseline date and the payment term in the vendor master. But when I am posting the invocie to the same vendor with Special G/L indicator, Due On date, payment method are not automatically calculated and system are expecting me to enter this date manually. Is there a way we can default this Due On date, payment thod based on payment term like it happens when posting to other invoices without Sp GL indicator ?

Dear Ngog,
In general, special G/L transactions are used to map special processes
to be stated separately in the balance sheet.So if you use special GL
indicator, the fields relevant to payment terms (including baseline
date) are not displayed. This is not controlled by field status.
To make the fields You need ready for input for posting
with special G/L indicator, the following Customizing setting is
necessary:
Financial Accounting -> Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
->Business Transactions -> Outgoing Payments -> Automatic Outgoing
Payment-> Payment Method/Bank Selection -> Configure payment program ->
All company codes -> double-click on corresponding company code -> under
Vendor -> 'Sp. G/L transactions to be paid' you should enter the special
G/L indicator A,B, etc.
As explained in SAP note 4683, the only standard possibility to get the
field payment terms on creating a posting with a special G/L indicator
is by setting in the payment program configuration (trans. FBKP) for
'All company codes' for customers/vendors 'Sp. G/L transaction to be
paid'.

The listenet runs fine when I am connected to the internet through dialup CONNECTION but fails when I am not connected .

Database logon failed when opening report with parameter values in CrystalReportViewer

I designed 2 crystal reports: report A contains parameter fields and report B did not contain any parameter
I can open both reports in development site using CrystalReportViewer control. When I open the reports in testing site,
I can open report B but can't open report A. It display error message "Database logon failed". When I set EnableDatabaseLogonPrompt
to true and try to open the report A again, it shows database connection data which was created on report.
In addition, it is strange that it displays error "Database logon failed" when I click an item in group tree panel of the report B. This indicates that it can load data from database
in testing site but it connect to development database when clicking items in group tree panel
All reports connect to database using Windows Authenication. It use dynamic database connection at runtime
How to ensure the report always connect database using login data dynamically at runtime?

SLM2048 - Password problems with special chars

Hi all,
We´ve got a SLM2048 in use (most current FW) and I wanted to apply our new password standards onto that switch. So I changed the password of the user admin and used special chars, which were =&!= and clicked update and save changes. I now know, that I should have been using only alphanumerical characters, but why is there no routine that checks the PW for conformance, before writing it onto the switch.
Problem now is, that I am unable to login and don´t want to do a hard reset, because the configuration would be lost. I know there should have been a rescue admin user, but there is none. What can I do now? Any chance that a cisco engineer could get in contact with me to debug the entered password in the lab and who could then tell me what was saved to ROM or how I can login again?

Replacing space with special char in reporting

I have created a calculatd Keyfigure where if the consition given in the calculated KF satisfies then it displays 1 otherwise space ,now mu user wants space to be replaced by some special charcter

You can try this: Instead of space, fill this with a 0. Then in the query properties, set the Show Zero As and give your special char, like may be *. But this will be okay if you do not have other zeros in the report...else you may need to do some VB coding.

Migrate Roles failes when migrating VMs with legacy network adapters (2008R2 - 2012)

I'm working on a upgrade of Hyper-V 2008R2 cluster to Hyper-V 2012 cluster. I am using the "migrate roles" feature of failover clustering to migrate the CSV's and VM's. The wizard ask to which switch the VMs need to be connected on the target cluster.
All VMs with network adapters can be started in the new cluster without any issues. If you look at the XML file of the migrated VMs with normal network adapters, a new XML has been generated in the proper 2012 format. However, all VM's with a legacy
network adapter fail to start. Also there is no migrated XML file in the VM directory. It is impossible to check or adjust the settings of the migrated VMs with legacy network adapters using the failover clustering console.
I have reproduced the issue in my lab several times, and it seems like a bug.
There are several workarounds, but I am looking for a real solution.

We recommend that you use the legacy network adapter only to perform a network-based installation or when the guest operating system does not support the network adapter.
If the virtual machine continues to use the legacy network adapter it will not be able to leverage many of the features available in the Hyper-V virtual switch. You may want
to replace the legacy network adapter after the operating system is installed.

Premiere Pro/Media Encoder fail when exporting something with AE linked?

Hey all, I do some video production work for a university, and we're running into some problems when trying to export all the videos from a particularly large course. We haven't run into this issue before so I'm hoping someone might have knowledge of it and can help me out.
Here's some background-
I'm trying to export videos, about 20 minutes each. Each video has an opening sequence and closing sequence that were created in After Effects and are Dynamic linked in the right spots on the timeline.
We're encoding with Vimeo HD 720p 29.97 settings.
Media Encoder gets through one pass seemingly just fine, and then a little after halfway through encoding it stops (doesn't crash, just stops encoding any further) and crashes when attempting to stop the queue.
It's a pain to export from After Effects and re drag in all the sequences, so our workflow keeps all exporting Premiere -> Media Encoder.
EDIT: Can't believe I forgot to mention this- works fine exporting directly from a timeline in Premiere, it's only when Media Encoder is used that issues arise- but it's unfeasible to export 30 videos from the timeline.
EDIT: Done some more testing over the course of the day. I can add After Effects files to a AME queue and encode them with the Vimeo settings and it makes it through both passes, correctly exporting the videos. It just doesn't work when those same compositions are exported as linked compositions in a Premiere Pro timeline.
Some things I've tried with no success:
Exporting the After Effects files separately does not work, it hangs even if only exporting the after effects segments.(20 seconds each).
I've turned off CUDA and done software only, still hangs.
I've tried dragging/adding from Media Encoder/any number of different workflows to get the sequences from Premiere to After Effects.
I've tried exporting with different settings: (e.g. non Vimeo HD 720p 29.97), still hangs (doesn't even start encoding, doesn't get halfway).
Any ideas?

I experienced this at one point. Searching the WEB I saw suggestions that there was a problem with a recent version of Quicktime. (I have no idea why the quicktime player would have an impact.) However, reverting to an earlier version of Quicktime fixed the problem. Search this board using quicktime as a search phase. The quicktime web site allows you to download the earlier versions. I'm not at my editing machine, but I believe that I am at version 7.5.2.

Xmlparser.parse fails when parsing xml with dtd

Has anybody used successfully called xmlparser.parse in PL/SQL
to parse an xml file with a dtd? When I try I get the following
error:

Abap error when entering PO with a different currency

We are a Mexican company so all our prices and po are made in pesos.
Today one of our salespersons entered a PO in US Dollars and when he try to save it in VA01 the following error text came up:

Ios 3.1.3 fails when browsing website with flash, doesn't skip flash, hangs

Im just looking for someone else that might have had this issue, to maybe point me to reason or a solution.
I know that the iphone doesn't support flash, and would expect when viewing a website, that it just bypass the flash (skipping it, or just displaying a box with "needs flash to view"), but we are finding that version 3.1.3 is locking up, when we goto www.gostanford.com with ANY IOS other than 3.1.3, the device loads the webpage, simply just doesn't display the flash and continues to render the remainder of the site. However, with 3.1.3, the whole screen goes white, and a real small "Click here to download the latest flash plugin to view content..." displays and moves no further. It just stops there, I've tested on our 2g and 3g devices with ver 2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2 and they all display the page minus the flash content. IOS 4.0, 4.1 on my 3gs and 4 phone due to same thing, its just version 3.1.3 that does this.
I want to tell the customer, sorry, we dont support iphone, but the rest of the company is expecting at least a reason why this is happening? Has anyone here had or experienced any issues with the 3.1.3 that I can draw from, or point me to a location.

Firefox 2.0. The purpose of the javascript script is to provide a
cross browser sloution to deploy flash animation in HTML. As IE
uses object tag and doesn't support embed tag and other browsers
vise versa this kind of mechanism is essential. And that javascript
also allows you to check the installed flash version. I see no
problem of your page.

How would I have to write the needed parameters if the host needs to have login name in the form of [email protected]? This - [email protected]:[email protected] - did not work in MC.

Try %40 instead of @.
eg. username%[email protected]
That works in Firefox.
