Mightex camera not identified by max or Imaq usb enumerate camera vi

Hi all,
I am using Mightex S-Series Ultra-Compact USB2.0 camera, I am finding it difficult to identify the camera in MAX or with IMAQ usb enumerate camera vi, I do have loaded the drivers but still couldnt get the camera working , please let me know if there is anything else I need to upload.
Thanks,
Ankit Gupta

Hi AnkitG,
Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your camera. We have recently seen several other instances of Mightex's cameras causing issues when trying to interface with it through IMAQdx, and have been in touch with Mightex regarding these issues. We suspect that the issues all come from differences in the way NI and Mightex handle DirectShow compliance. I'll make sure to communicate this issue to them as well, and I'll let you know what we find.

  • PXI-6255 not identified in MAX as DAQmx

We recently purchased a PXI-8108 controller for use as a spare and I'm having difficulty getting it to play well with our existing hardware and software. The controller we have been using is an older PXI-8106.
The new controller has Windows 7 where the old had XP, so I had to use more recent versions of PXI Platform Services and MAX, as well as DAQmx. The versions I've installed are: PXI Platform Services 3.0.4, MAX 5.3.1, DAQmx 9.2.2. I can't use more recent version of DAQmx because our we are using LabVIEW 8.5.1 and anything more recent doesn't support that.
The 6255 is showing up in the device manager under Windows, and the properties show that it is using the same hardware driver (nixsrkw.sys, rev. 1.13.0f4) as we use on the old controller. The 6255 also shows up in MAX, with a device identifier of PXI13::15:INSTR, but not listed as a DAQmx device. So, when I import the MAX settings file, the defined tasks won't run.
I haven't found any postings in the forum that quite match this scenario. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mike,
Firstly, I want to let you know that you will have problems using LabVIEW 8.5 with Windows 7.  The oldest version of LabVIEW supported in Win 7 is LabVIEW 2009 SP1:

About seeing your device in MAX, can you post a screenshot of what it looks like?

  • What is USB Camera Name in IMAQ USB-Init.vi?

    Hi,
The subject of this message explains my question. In addition, I was wondering if someone could tell me whether the "USB Camera Name" can take any name or not. Finally, when I run my program, I get an error indicating that "Filter name not found". Can somebody tell me what the Filter name is?
    Thank You

Yes, it does matter what you use as a camera name. Use the IMAQ USB Enumerate Cameras VI to get the names of all the connected cameras. Then feed in the one that you want to use.
    Hope that this helps,

  • How to set the exposure time and the gain of a connected camera with IMAQ USB

A camera was connected to my computer with USB port and we can acquire the image through IMAQ USB.  Now we have to set separately the exposure time and the gain with the camera's driver software provided by the manufacturer.  My question is: how to set directly the exposure time and the gain of this camera in Labview?

    Hi Frank
Welcome to the forum. Have fun

I think its not possible for USB Cameras.

  • PXI - DAQmx tasks will not export to MAX 5.4

I am in the process of upgrading a PXI 1050 with an 8176 to an MXI bridge. The latest headache is that the CVI program had several DAQmx (tasks) defined in MAX 3.1.1 which will not export to MAX 5.4. I have been posting these additional questions on my original thread MXI not visible in MAX. I have many tasks for installed PXI cards. I was trying to make simple tasks just defining these cards to change the errors I receive in CVI. I do not have the option to define a task for some of these cards like the 4070 DMM. I did not generate the original CVI code. I am not sure what is defined the DAQmx. Can someone provide some insight ? I have viewed the suggested videos and white paper links. They were instructive but of little help.

Unfortunately; no updates without dollars. While we all work for the same company, we must contract work between departments. There was no defect with the software as delivered. Old age crept in to the hardware. Any upgraded hardware, it turns out,  requires updating of the software. The unit had operated reasonably well, until a couple years ago. An unfortunate selection of network security software caused massive headaches. The software chosen assumed a more advanced level of hardware. Mandatory installation on all network computers rendered these controller inoperable. Our local IT guys shaved down the install to minimal components but the controller lost all available ram to this software, NI-MAX requires 20 minutes to build it's database on reboot. The computer controllers struggle to function. They periodically get lost and require a reboot, causing 30 minutes or more to restart. This is driving a replacement. We decided that it would be more cost effective to move to a standard computer interface. With the MXI, we could have a much more friendly and versatile interface. The upgrade is with a different "color" of corporate money. There isn't enough funding to contract a software upgrade. It is feasible to complete the upgrade in house, once we can identify the players and their function. Second we need the necessary time and access to the equipment. I do not have the ability to expend too many extra hours at work. So it takes time. I have been able to piece together the following. In the development stage back in 2004 - 2005, the developers used both Traditional DAQ and DAQmx. They build tasks for the SCXI in CVI. They have toolboxes making calls to Traditional DAQ. Also at some point in time they must have used the option in 3.1.1 to Convert Traditional NI-DAQ(Legacy)Configuration to NI-DAQmx, which built all the extra DAQmx devices we see in the device tree in the MAX 3.1.1. So beyound the errors there appears to be a few red herrings, just for fun. So there is no tasks to convert from 3.1.1, everything is contained in the CVI code. I have to find a way to use the CVI debugger to lead me to the nested, buried code causing the errors, and simply correct them. Just for another layer of complexity, they are probably logic errors, not syntax errors, or updated code errors where the legacy code no longer functions with the updated drivers. Or, hey, it could be the beta version of NI-DAQ, because it is the only one working with Windows 7 (32).

  • IPhone Detected But Not Identified?

I hooked up my iPhone to my base that goes into my cpu and I got this message: "An iPhones was detected, but could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone and try again." I havent had any problems like this before. Will a reinstall over this iTunes fix the problem? I am running Windows XP. I have also noticed that when I plug up my phone, the Scanner and Camera Wizard pops up recognizing the iPhone as a camera. Also when running iTunes after I got that message, my cpu will freeze for about 5 seconds and work fine a little while then freeze again for 5 seconds. But when I close iTunes, it stops freezing.

I am having the same issue iPhone detected, but not identified. Did you get a solution to the problem? Had to go to th Apple store to register my phone. iPhone connected fine with their MacBook. That doesn't help me at home though.

  • IMAQ USB Close leaves the camera open

    Hi,
I hope somebody can help me with that one. I have a DirectShow compliant USB camera, that I got to work with the IMAQ USB VIs. I can acquire images, enumerate the devices and get the options dialog. However calling the IMAQ USB Close VI does seem to have any effect. As the next time I try to call IMAQ USB Open afterwards I got error -1074396024 until I terminate the host process and restart LabVIEW again.
I am using LabVIEW 8.0, on W2k German
I also tried the samples (e.g. Grab.vi) provided with the same effect.
Running a tool that collects system debug messages (send via OutputDebugString) I got 'Export: Break Connect' coming from the IMAQ USB Close VI, but I also see, that the underlying DirectShow Interface doesn't receive any close call. Is there an Interface missing in the DirectShow interface (which?) or is this a bug in the IMAQ USB Interface (not very likely as a lot of guys seem to be happy with it)?
    Can anybody help please?
    Greetings,
    Stefan

    Stefan,
below is an excerpt about the system requirements for IMAQ USB:
    - Windows 2000/XP (English, Italian,
Japanese, French, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Spanish/Portuguese,
    Russian, and simple Chinese)
    - LabVIEW 7.0 or higher with NI Vision 7.1 or higher for the USB LabVIEW support.
    - Vision Assistant 7.1 or higher for the USB Vision Assistant plugin module.
In general IMAQ USB is not supported but I will forward the information to R&D.

    Hi VISluth!
Is your instrument set to allow external control? You can find information about this in the instrument manual.
Also, while looking into the TDS 220, I found the following webpage which could suggest that you have defective hardware:
    http://www.tek.com/service/safety/tds210-tds220
You could also check for IP between the instrument and your computer.

thanks all for your replies, the problem was on my template images, I had to give them information about the pattern matching, and I did it with NI Vision Template Editor, within Vision utilities, and I chose template with Feature Based.

  • Error 0xBFF60492 on IMAQ USB snap.vi RT Video not support displaying selected color depth

Attempting to snap a picture with NI-IMAQ for USB in LabVIEW 8.0  using the following procedure.
1)I get the first enumerated camera, 2) open a session, with returned
    string [0], 3) start a session, 4) snap a picture and 5) close
vi.  My problem is that in step 4 with the IMAQ USB Snap.vi, I get
    the following error.
Error -1074396014 occurred at IMAQ USB snap.vi
The image passed is not valid.
    Possible Reasons(s):
IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60492) RT Video Out does not support displaying the supplied image type at the selected color depth.
I give the snap.vi an Image in from rightclick->Create->Control
or rightclick->Create->Constant.  The output image (on the
    Front Panel) created by rightclick->Create->Indicator.
LabVIEW should insert the correct data structure to match the expected
input/output, and there is nothing I can that changes he color
depth.  The GetImageInfo.vi reports that the camera is set up for
4 Bytes Per Pixel, with the rectangle 352x288.
Also the error message refers to RT Video Out, but I am using USB.  This distinction is significant in NI Vision Assistant.

    Hello together,
I wanted to use a Sanyo Xacti CG 10 video camara in LabView.
By using the NI-IMAQ for USB Snap I get the following error: IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF60492) Ungültige Blit-Funktion des Videoausgangs.
Is it possible, that I can not use this camera in LabView?
Thanks a lot for your reply

  • Phoenix 1280 USB camera gives IMAQ USB Init error?

We're trying to use a Phoenix PC-1280 USB video camera with either Labview or the Vision Assistant. In both cases we get an error in the IMAQ USB Init.vi (eg, "IVA Acquisiition Tools palette.vi was stopped at node 0x140 of subVI IMAQ USB Init.vi"). We have the latest version of labview and the vision module. The Mutech people are being totally useless, but I suspect the problem is in their driver which is supposed to use DirectShow and should be compatible. Before we toss this $1000 camera in the trash, can someone suggest a quick fix? ...or even a slow one
PS -- it's not the language problem, we're all in english

    Hi Cyndeigo,
One thing to check is to see if your camera is being recognized
by LabVIEW.  One way to do this is to use
the USB enumerate cameras.vi.  If this is
sending back the camera name, then make sure you are connecting the USB Init.vi
as shown in the attachment.  If the USB
enumerate cameras.vi isn’t feeding back any data then there is probably something
wrong with the driver.  I hope this
    helps.   Keep me posted.
    Regards,
    GG

  • Hi. my ipad battery is not charging well. max at around 20%. what do i need to do to get it working again?

hi. my ipad battery is not charging well. max at around 20%. what do i need to do to get it working again?

You may need to recalibrate the battery. See link below.
Are you using the wall charger?
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. In rare instances when using the Camera Connection Kit, you may notice that iPad does not charge after using the Camera Connection Kit. Disconnecting and reconnecting the iPad from the charger will resolve this issue.

  • How can I remove ALL of  iTunes as 8.2.023 is not identifying my iPhone

I have spent days on this and other discussions trying to fix my unintentional update to iTunes 8.2.023. Apple was called and they could not resolve and were sent a few logs from Apple and Widow Diagnostics. They have now ignored recent email and phone calls on the case which is still open. Version 8.1.1 worked fine every time with my iPhone, that upgrade back in April was truly painless. Last week's Install was fine without error and it converted my library to their new format. Error then popped up "An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly.." Apple tech and Engineers have had this open case for a week now without a resolution. I tired the very first night to return to prior version 8.0.52 manually from Apple and later let Vista use Restore point which successfully restored to a point with correct version of 8.1.1 yet iTunes still Failed to have iPhone "Identified Properly" I uninstalled al iTunes applications and reinstalled iTunes per Apple instruction Friday (19Jun)and it still failed to work. I made no other changes yet iPhone popped up in iTunes identified last Saturday(20 Jun) morning for unknown reason and then failed the next day. I tried all things found in discussions, I have no Wireless Network in fact no network exists other than a single desktop connected to the internet. I unplugged/disabled internet connection, unplugged all but 1 USB device, moved iPhone to different USB Port, performed Hard Reboot of iPhone, used msconfig to disable all start up services and programs except those needed by Microsoft & Apple, Verified drivers for iPhone and Apple Mobile Device Services are updated, etc. etc. Unrelated and with nothing to lose I updated Vista to Service Pack 2 which made some device changes but no other effect on iTunes. I uninstalled 8.2 and got a fresh download without Firewall/AntiVirus running. I do know I am not the only one with this problem and the only solution that seems to have worked that makes sense or I have not been able to do is revert back to older 8.1.1 version. I know I may risk losing library but that can be rebuilt. At issue is no backup or restore should iPhone fail (it did just that two months ago) and no access to selections available in iTunes library which is only reason for my having iTunes. Buying 3G S or updating iPhone elsewhere to Firmware 3.0, though suggested by Apple, has not worked for those who tried. Apple is not supporting.

I got rid of AMDS, ASU ,QuickTime and iTunes from control ones I also found folder in Vista with D:\Users\Rick\Music\iTunes\Previous iTunes Library and there is one dated 2009-03012.itl. I moved this file up one folder and delted existing iTunes Library.itl. iTune still failed to identify my iPhone. There are other files iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Geniyes, itdn and iTunes Music Library, xml date dtd 06/18/2009 after upgrade except the latter which is date 06/23/2009. So something is not allowing me to pull or put everything back to when it worked.
YES this is my only iPhone and only PC I have access to with iTunes.
Here is what Apple gave to someone Sunday 28 June:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2035950&start=75&tstart=0
I checked these out too and they appear the same printed out nearly a week prior. I agree with Coach TO, if I had bad drivers or Vista errors it would not have shown up only when I updated to latest Version of 8.2.023. My Phone was identified on a PC with iTunes at the local AT&T store. He suggested I get phone into Recovery made while connected to iTunes and that resolves the problem 9 out of 10 time. Weak spot was he tried to get phone into Recovery without iTunes connection and thought I may have iPhone problem, then changed his mind when it worked while connected. He also stated it could take an hour. I have not tried to put my iPhone in Recovery lately, I think I did a while back and it failed to go into Recovery as error "iPhone detected by, not identified..."Has anyone tried forcing phone into Recovery? I understand you may lose all that is on phone. If iTunes still fails to identify would we not be in worse shape even if iTunes holds a recent backup which it does not for many of us? Will Apple take back or exchange phone if yours is not identitifed, AT&T today told me I had to go to Apple Store for this or anything to happen.

Generally Dreamweaver provides good support for changes to templates, and automatically updates all the files using a particular template when you change that template. However this breaks down if you change a template, or a file, to .php. Dreamweave
