MIRO - Invoice Receipt

HI
When i post MIRO i am getting the following error message :
Tax code IM country IN does not exist in procedure TAXINJ
Message no. FF713
Diagnosis
You entered a tax code which is not defined for the country of the company code to be posted to in the tax calculation procedure.
System Response
Procedure
Check and, if necessary, correct the entry.
Procedure for System Administration
If it is not an input error, check and possibly change the system settings.
To do this, choose Maintain entries (F5).
Check whether the company code is assigned to the correct country and whether the correct tax calculation procedure has been entered for the company code country.
Create a new tax code if necessary.
Caution:
Since it is possible that the tables in question are being updated at a different time on another computer, it can take a certain amount of time for the tax code to be on all local machines in client server architectures after saving the new code.
Please help me to solve this issue
Thanks & Regards,
Mani

Use transaction "FTXP" and check if the tax code you are using is assigned to the country your company is located in. If your code is missing for the country, then enter a new line to assign these two values. Also, make sure that the tax jurisdiction code is assinged to your country and company code. Then it will work.

  • MIRO Invoice Receipting Workflow Solution for unreceipted Goods / Services

    Hi
We wish to improve the flow of Invoice Receipting (MIRO).
    Problem:
Invoices are receipted centrally at head office
Goods/Service Receipts are performed on location at site
Some Invoices are received from the Vendor before site has goods/service receipted the item.
Current configuration prevents invoice being entered when no goods receipt.
Ideally, the sites would receipt on time, but as a solution we are considering two options. I would appreciate any thoughts on whether is possible as well as guidance on implementing a solution.
    OPTION A. - With Parking
    1. When Head Office cannot post invoice (due to unreceipted goods/service), user parks the invoice.
    2. This sends a workflow email to the site that invoice has been parked.
    3. Head Office attaches a scanned image of the invoice to the parked document, so the site can review.
    4. Site enters Goods/Service Receipt.
    5. Work flow is triggered back to head office that a goods receipt was performed against a PO that has a parked invoice
    6. Head Office posted parked invoice.
    OPTION B - Without Parking
    1. Configuration is changed so that Invoice Receipt can be performed when no goods/service receipt.
    2. Invoice is posted and blocked for payment.
    3. This sends a workflow email to the site that invoice has been blocked for payment.
    4. Head Office attaches a scanned image of the invoice to the parked document, so the site can review.
    5. Site enters Goods/Service Receipt.
    6. Work flow is triggered back to head office that a goods receipt was performed against a PO that has a blocked invoice.
    7. Head Office unblocks invoice.
    Many thanks
    Adrian

    Hi Adrian,
Option B is very much feasible by developing the workflow for users.
IF GR based IV is removed, Invoice can be done before GR. Having a GR based IV tick in PO (Mandatory) would ensure IV is raised only after the quantity is delivered.
I doubt if Scanning of invoice copy is possible in the MM system, but it would be feasible via Document Management in SAP.
Alternatively, you can have Idoc based creation for Invoice based on GR quantity.

  • Capitalization of Assets after MIRO ( Invoice Reciept)

    Hi Gurus
Our system allows for capitalization of Assets after MIGO ( Goods Receicpt) Client wants to capitalize assets only after MIRO ( Invoice Receipt). System should not be able to do capitalization after MIGO.
Do we need to make any changes to configurations??
    Thanks
    Regards
    Satish Kumar

    Dear Satish,
When u r procuring assets thru PO, at the time of MIGO ur asset account will get hit & will be capitalised. Also, at the time of invoicing ur GR/IR account will get a corresponding effect.
Now if your client want NOT to capitalise asset during MIGO then try with the below option:
Any asset that has to be procured will not be directly procured as asset. Every new asset to be purchased from outside will have its AUC account created. Now amount lying in AUC acount is not termed as capitalised. Now say u r procuring 10 chairs. Create a AUC for these 10 chairs. Make PO with this AUC. So whenever u will do MIGO ur asset will not get any effect but the amount will get posted in AUC. So this will solve ur purpose of not capitalising at time of GR. Later after invoicing, user can capitalise complete AUC or partial AUC using AIAB & AIBU.
Hope this will help solve ur query.

  • Internal Order - carryforward MIRO Invoice against MIGO receipt

    Hi,
    I have created an internal order (TCode KO04 & KO21 )
Allocated full budget for year 2007
Then I have linked it to an asset.
A Purchase Order is made with link to the asset.
A Goods receipt (MIGO) entry also was created against the PO
All these transactions are done in F.year 2007
At this point, the year-end procedure has completed.
For the internal order, when I try to do KOCO , zero amount is shown in the carryforward
because the actuals are posted by GRN.
When I do KOCF, there is no commitments to be carried forward to 2008.
Now I want to post the MIRO invoice agaist the above PO in period 01 of fyear 2008.
The system gives error - " The internal Order has no budget in 2008"
Since the GRN was done in 2007, I thought the Invoice should go through.
Now why the system is checking for budget in 2008  and giving the error ?
Help from anyone would be appreciated.

    Hi William,
    You did the following steps:
A Purchase Order is made with link to the asset. not the internal order???
A Goods receipt (MIGO) entry also was created against the PO
All these transactions are done in F.year 2007
I think the proces is now completed
The PO create the commitment (the budget is used)
The MIRO place the commitment on 0 an post actual values. (the budget is still used)
    Result
No values for carryforward Budget and commitments
Now I want to post the MIRO invoice agaist the above PO in period 01 of fyear 2008
Is this second time that you make the same posting???
There is no budget you used it already in 2007 and you get the error The internal Order has no budget in 2008
I think when I follow your process the system is working perferc and make it impossible to go over budget with your second invoice

  • MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt)

MIRO(Invoice Verification) posting date is lesser than MIGO(Goods Receipt) posting date.
    Explanation:
Miro sholud be posted after the GRN has posted. It means that the Posting date of Miro should be greater than or equal to the Posting date of Migo. But I am facing the issue that I can able to post the Miro before the Migo date..
For example:  I have posted the Migo(Goods receipt) document with the posting date u2013 10.8.09 and at the same time I can also able to post the Miro(Invoice Verification) posting date as u2013 5.08.09. This is should not be allowed . Kindly give me the solution. Is there any options in SAP standards to restrict this type of Postings(without using user exit).
    regards
    Varadharaj

    Hi
you  need to use BADi for this INVOICE_UPDATE
you can give logic as whil;e MIRO system will compare posting date with MIGO doc , then create a Z error msg in se91 nad assign it in that badi
take help of ABAPer, check following link
    [LINK |GR date lesser than the PO date, the system should show an error message.;

  • Changing account assignment at invoice receipt (MIRO/MIR7)

    Hello gurus,
I have got two questions concerning changing the account assignment of a PO item at invoice receipt.
Example: We have a PO item with account assignment category K and non-valuated goods receipt. Now, after GR, we receive the invoice and want to post it using MIRO.
During this process we notice that the correct account assignment category would have been A. In MIRO we can change all accounting information (apart from the account assignment category). So we delete the assigned G/L account and cost center and enter the correct asset master number in the asset column. Then we post the invoice.
Result is that the invoice is posted to the asset, the vendor and the tax account. So, everything seems to be ok, except that the account assignment category in the invoice document is still K.
    Now, my questions:
    1. Is it allowed to change the accounting information as described, even if that means that the account assignment category is u201Cwrongu201D afterwards? I.e. is this a standard process?
    2. This works fine using MIRO, but when we try it to use MIR7, when posting the invoice there is a cryptic workflow error message (Message no. 00398) stating something like u201CPlaceholder for batch input error text, this message is not output. Please notify system administration u2013 Problem with S.u201C [sic!]
    Any ideas on this?
    Thanks in advance
    Alicia

    Hi Praveen,
no, there is no error in MIR7. But the invoice is not posted and the workflow shows the error message given in my original posting.
And the point is that I cannot change the K to A in MIRO or MIR7, but I can change G/L account, cost center, asset etc. So after I change it, I still have account assignment category K, but no G/L account and cost center given. Instead, there is only the asset number.
This looks a bit funny to me and I wondered, if this could lead to any problems, because something like that would not be allowed in the PO.
    Cheers
    Alicia

    Hi,
Check OSS Note 609655 - MIRO: Missing invoice document headers.
    Per this note;
    Symptom
You entered documents with the Transaction 'Add incoming invoice' (MIRO) or 'Park incoming invoice' (MIR7). During the posting, in rare cases it can occur that the header data (Entry in table RBKP) is not generated by the system. These must be generated subsequently.
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Database problems, SQL error.
    Solution
Implement report Z_RECOVER_MM_HEADER mentioned below in your system. The repair is carried out only by SAP.

    Hi
    Check below settings in IMG:
Materials management - Logistics invoice verification - Authorization Management - Define Tolerance Groups & Assign User Tolerance Group. I hope you dont have authorization to post the invoice with XXX amount because of tolerance limits.

  • Configuration change from MM invoice receipt to MM goods receipt

    Dear sapient
    At present i have configured
    Spro-
Public Sector Management-Funds Management Government-Actual and Commitment Update/Integration-General Settings-Make Other Settings
    MM invoice receipt
Now as per our client requirement i have to change the configuration from MM invoice receipt to MM goods receipt.
will it create any problem if i will configure  and move it to production client.
Presently budget control available during the time of PR,PO & MIRO now as per client budget control should be on PR,PO & MIGO not in MIRO.
    ECC EHP6 version
    Using BCS & Payment budget.
    Thanks & regards

    Hi,
My question was whether you follow your budget up to payment itself, i.e. is it important for you to know budgetary-wise if the invoice was paid. In FM these values will be registered with '57' value type. If the answer is positive, then you cannot base your FM update only on GR: it has to be IR or IR/GR. Otherwise, you can base your FM update on GR.
Your second point is not clear: what do you mean by making 'payment to commitment budget'?

    Eli

  • Exchange rate in invoice receipt

    1. Can I change exchange rate in invoice receipt ?
    2. Is it the PO rate ?

    Hi
If you are maintaing your Exchange rate table(OB08) in FI then the exchange rate will flowing as per updation of the table. Some organisation update this table daily. In that case you need not change the rate at PO or MIRO stage, as if we are changing the exchange rate at Transaction level then it may not be chnaged bu users everytime and more over  if you have sales also it needs to be changed there also every time there is TXn happening. Best way is to update the EXchange rate table.
For your query- you can have the rate in PO, in the delivery/Invoice tab, if you fix it then the same will flow to MIRO
But if you do not fix it, then you wishit to enetr during MIRO, pleasefollw as below
IN MIRO enter the invoice date, posting date, enter Bus.place/sectn details then click the Details tab, here you can enter the exchangerate you wish to have during MIRO confirmation.
    Best Regards

  • Invoice Receipt by Line Item

    Hi
How is the Differences between invoice Receipt  and  Invoice Receipt by Line Item according to purchasing
    thanks
    SM

    Hi,
You have 2 options to post invoice,
    1. Post Invoice for all the line items as in the PO (or)
    2. Post Invoice line item wise (one by one) (i.e) Partial Invoice posting. So you decide accodingly in MIRO

  • Invoice Receipt Ouput

In the case when an invoice receipt is posted via MIRO against purchase order for a particular vendor (i.e. ABC Inc.) I need the system to generate an I-Doc of that IR for EDI transmission. How must I setup the Output Determination / Message Conditions to achieve the creation of this I-Doc?
Thanks - points will be rewarded.

While EDI is a component of the problem, it is not the key issue. I need help understanding how to setup Output Determination / Message Control (thru NACE and such) so that upon posting of an invoice receipt against a purchase order of a particular vendor (and for that vendor only) an I-Doc (in any format) will be generated for subsequent transmission.
Thanks - points will be rewarded.
