Exchange rate in invoice receipt

1. Can I change exchange rate in invoice receipt ?
2. Is it the PO rate ?

Hi
If you are maintaing your Exchange rate table(OB08) in FI then the exchange rate will flowing as per updation of the table. Some organisation update this table daily. In that case you need not change the rate at PO or MIRO stage, as if we are changing the exchange rate at Transaction level then it may not be chnaged bu users everytime and more over  if you have sales also it needs to be changed there also every time there is TXn happening. Best way is to update the EXchange rate table.
For your query- you can have the rate in PO, in the delivery/Invoice tab, if you fix it then the same will flow to MIRO
But if you do not fix it, then you wishit to enetr during MIRO, pleasefollw as below
IN MIRO enter the invoice date, posting date, enter Bus.place/sectn details then click the Details tab, here you can enter the exchangerate you wish to have during MIRO confirmation.

  • User Specified date for Exchange Rate in Goods Receipt

    Hi All,
Exchange rate in Goods receipt will be picked up on the Posting date. Our requirement is that the exchange rate should be picked up on user specified date but not the posting date.
Is there any possibility to achieve this functionality either by
    1) Customization change
    2) User Exits or BAdI's
    3) FM to control the exchange rate date while posting the GR?
Any pointers regarding this will be appreciated.

  • Exchange Rate for invoice matching IR = GR exchange rate

    Hi Gurus
u2022     Exchange Rate for invoice matching IR ( at Feb at 2.10 ) should be similar to GRN ( Jan at 2.00 exchange rate ). Customer does not want to fix the exchange rate during the PO .
u2022     They want to pick up the exchange rate when the GR is being executed .Is there any automatic setting to enable this, they want to avoid manually changing the exchange rate during IR.

    Hi
    Try this
LIV- incoming invoice - how exchange rate differences are treated - for your company code check the indicator as N - then if exchange rate is different then it will be posted to PRD.
But it is not possible to fix exchange rate based on GR, either you need to enter invoice date same as GR date then same rate will be maintained.
    Thanks

  • Exchange rate on invoice date

    HI all,
I have created PO on 10th Jan in USD. I didn't check "Fixed Exchange rate" in PO., When I'm doing Invoice received, system is giving error message to maintain "exchange rate on USD/INR on 10th Jan".
I would like to get the exchange rate of present march month. I have maintained exchange rate manually in Details tab in MIRO. Still I'm getting the problem...
How can I post invoice with the present exchange rate??/

    Hi Sanil,
thanks for your reply, In PO I maintained only the Exchange Rate not Exchange rate type. I'm getting error for exchange rate type "M".
If I maintained the exchange rates for USD/INR on 10th JAN, then system will take that rate or today's date..?? and this F-62 is same as OB08 or different???
    thanks and regards

  • Payment wizard - copy exchange rate from invoice

    Dear Experts,
I'm facing a functional issue with the payment wizard.
my customer runs some (import) purchasing processes with fixed exchange rate from purchase order to outgoing payments.
As a result, he does not want to get any posting for exchange rate difference in the outgoing payments.
Generating the outgoing payment with the payment wizard, SBO uses the exchange rate of the day.
Is there a way to copy the exchange rate from the A/P invoice, or at least to change it somehow ?
the use of the outgoing payment transaction for manual payment enables to change the exchange rate.
But my customer needs to use the payment wizard in order to be able to generate the bank files.
Do you have any suggestion ?
    waiting for your feedback
    Regis

    Hi Regis,
if you have agreed a price in the foreign currency your BP deals with, why not use this currency in the document flow? The amounts for your BP wwill remain the same throughout the transaction.
It doesn't really make sense not to capture exchange rate differences for your own books. If, for example you are using Euros & provided a very high value US Dollar quotation some months ago, the exhange rate difference between now & then would be significant. Therefore the automatic FX postings reflect the gain/loss your company makes according to market conditions.
    All the best,

  • POSSIBLE TO SPECIFY EXCHANGE RATE DURING GOODS RECEIPT

    Dear All,
Anybody can throw light, whether we can able to specify the Exchange Rate Manually while doing Imports GRN.
    Tks
    Mani

    Dear Deepak,
Yes, Of course i understood, But scenario is we have cleared the stock from customs and kept in duty paid bonded warehouse couple of months back and we have not done GRN for the PO in SAP. Once the Material is moved to the factory from warehouse after two months, While doing GRN the Material cost is getting calculated based on the current exchange rate and its giving impact in the stock value also. So, to avoid ther is any manual intervention is there to change the exchange rate during GR for such scenarios's alone.
If not, pls suggest your view to overcome on the above scenario.

  • Apply different exchange rate types in sales order and invoice

    Dear Experts,
How to configure different  exchagnes in sales order and invoice?
For example, use average exchange rate in sales order but current exchange rate in invoice.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Wang Hui

    Hi all,
I also need to apply different exchange rate between sales order and Invoice.
    E.g:
condition type currency (komv-waers)          sales document currency (komk-waerk)         company currency (t001-waers)
In my example, each of above currencies can be different:
    komv-waers = EUR
    komk-waerk = USD
    t001-waers = GBP
I tried through VTFL transaction but it is not working in all situations cause VTFL allows me to manage situations where
    komk-waerk NE T001-waers
But I need to convert condition types where
    komk-waerk EQ T001-waers but
    komv-waers NE komk-waerk
Can I manage this situation through SAP standard and/or VTFL transaction?
    Is there any other solution?
I really hope you can help me
    Thanks a lot

  • FM exchange rate differences during the invoice posting

    Hello Experts,
We are working in a public project and we are facing the following:
Due to the exchange rate an invoice is bigger in local amount (EUR) than the PO. In other project, we were moving that difference to another P&L account out of budget. However, here in this project, due to the legal requirements all amount of the budget has to consume budget. Could you help me to resolve this isssue please?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.
    Ahmed.

    Hi,
Then you need to change the exchange rate based on your LIV posting date.
Check in OB08 with exchange rate type "M" , as when ever the difference in PO and Invoice you need to ask the finance team to change exchange rate  as per date on which you receive the Invoice so the posting is done as per the vendor invoice exchange rate.
Do refer the below KBA which explains you in detail how the exchange rate works during MIRO.
KBA: 1700942 - Exchange rate cannot be changed as changing the posting date during logistics invoice verification

  • MBST Exchange rate

    Hi SAP gurus
How can I keep the same exchange rate of Goods Receipt document when I cancel it? i. e. When I create a GR in MIGO I have certain exchange rate, but when I cancell in MBST I got a different one, even though I posted it in the same GR date.
    Thanks for reply

Edited by: Eloy Venegas on Mar 12, 2010 1:47 AM

    Hi Eloy,
Please, check the SAP Note 49995, specially the Case B.
As this note explains, the valuation of reversals normally occurs according to the average values posted, therefore:
You can have two goods receipts:
    1. Goods receipt:  10 pieces at 70 USD or 100 EUR, with an exchange rate of 70 USD = 100 EUR.
    2. Goods receipt:  10 pieces at 70 USD or 120 EUR, with an exchange rate of 70 USD = 120 EUR.
If you post a reversal on the same date of the second goods receipt, when the system rate for the date is 70 USD = 120 EUR, the system will not consider this rate, but will post the reversal according to the average values:
Total quantity received = 20 pieces.
Total value received in EUR = 220 EUR.
Total value received in USD = 140 USD.
    Value of reversal of 10 pieces (EUR) = 10 pieces x (220 EUR / 20 pieces) = 110 EUR.
    Value of reversal of 10 pieces (USD) = 10 pieces x (140 USD / 20 pieces) = 70 USD.
Therefore, the exchange rate of the date is not considered in the reversal in this case.
Also note that this scenario can be more complicated if there are invoices also posted.
    I hope this helps!
    Esther.

  • Issue in picking the daily exchange rate on Inovices.

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem with the daily exchange rate on invoices from a particular sales organization. We have an issue when an invoice is cancelled and then reissued. Currently the new invoice is taking the exchange rate from the original invoice which is incorrect, it should be pick a new exchange rate from the day that the new invoice is created.
Are there any configuration settings for this. Where do i need to check.
Would appreciate your help if you could help me.
    Thanks,
    Mercy

    Hi Mercy,
Go to transaction FBZP ->"paying company codes"-> double click the company code and check if the field
"Do not Post any Exchange Rate Differences" is flagged.
"Do not Post any Exchange Rate Differences
    Use
Ensures that no exchange rate differences are posted by the payment program.
If the indicator is set, no exchange rate difference posting is generated. The amount in the bank posting in local currency does not result from translating the foreign currency amount at the current rate but from the total of the local currency amounts from the settled items.
If the indicator is not set, the difference between the exchange rate at the time of posting and the exchange rate at the time of payment is determined for items which are posted in foreign currency. The payment program uses the translation rate in the currency table in the system for this purpose.
The exchange rate differences which have been determined are automatically posted for each payment. A valid table rate is used when you post to a bank account or a bank sub-account."
I hope I could be of assistance.

  • Billing is not happening according to the exchange rate

dear all i have a problem
while doing export sales ,  in copy control settings of VTFL , i put pricing exchang rate as " B ' thesystem is calculating the correct exchange rates at the  excise posting. but  during billing   the system is not  taking the correct exchange rate which is for that particular month..
in the schdeulines  header data accounting tab  before processing for billing i need to  put the  correct exchange rate manually then if i do the billing the required exchange rate is coming in the billing .
in order the system to caculate the exact  foreign exchage rate during billing and exise posting automatically based on the rate given in" OB08"  what is the best way i can give
becasue the key user is finding it diffcult to  put the correct exchange rate manually before processing the schedulines agreement and then do the process
    kindly send ur suggestions

    Hi,
According to standard SAP , the accounting document will be calculated in case of export sales based on the exchange rate determined in invoice header, where as the excise postings will capture exchange rate from invoice item line.
Due to this u have no problem at excise invoice and the system will not change at invoice header based on your billing date, service rendered date etc based on copy control changes.
If you want system to determine exchange rate automatically at invoice header based on billing date etc, with out changing in sale order, you need to incorporate a routine and user exit with the help of your abaper.
The system will not accept copy control changes in this case.
So clearly you can tell your requirement to abap consultant and incorporate user exit for your requirement.

  • To use GR Exchange rate during IV

    Dear ALL:
my customer has such request that they want the GR's exchange rate during IV automatically.
Exchange Rate for invoice matching IR ( at Feb at 2.10 ) should be similar to GRN ( Jan at 2.00 exchange rate ). Customer does not want to fix the exchange rate during the PO .
They want to pick up the exchange rate when the GR is being executed .Is there any automatic setting to enable this, they want to avoid manually changing the exchange rate during IR.
Can anyone assist please ? Thanks.
by the way, do you know which date determine the exchange rate in IV , the posting  date or the document date?

    Think about it once...
You can do one thing, don't make the PO first...Directly go for the GR and while making the GR make the PO, so that the same exchange rate will be treated at the PO and GR ....now for the IR, GO for the ERS functionality, so that as soon as you make the GR, system will take those GR and PO into consideration for the ERS settlement and IR ie. vendor will be payed with the same exchange rate...
If you don't want this functionality and then take the help of ABAP consultant to develope a new enhancement for your functionality...
    Hope it helps..
