Missing Outbound Deliveries from Table

Hi All,
We are experiencing an occasional issue when creating outbound deliveries (VL01NO). A user creates a delivery for goods leaving site, the final step is to click the save icon, this saves the detail and they are then presented with a number for the delivery just created. In the circumstances we are referring to, on searching for the OB Delv (VL03N) for the number, no delivery can be found. A check of table (LIKP) using the number as reference indicates the record missing from the sequence.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outbound Deliveries from Collective STO with SLS

Hi all,
Has anyone ever successfully created an outbound delivery from a collective STO with SLS sub items?
All documentation states this is possible and that during delivery creation the SLS items are copied from the collective order to the delivery.
We have all config setup correctly to create collective orders with SLS, as when we run WF10 we get the correct results in the collective document.
When we run VL10G from the collective document it creates only with the main item, no sub items are copied over.
We today found and applied a note which was meant to resolve this exact problem, but it's made no difference at all. We've double checked the note and all appears to have been applied correctly. However still got the same issue.
From what I can see the item categories NLSH is used for the main item and NLSU is for the sub items, as standard for deliveries fro collectives with subitems.
By debugging delivery create we found it excluded the subitems due to the fact they were set to delivery completed. This however is how they seem to be created as standard.
We did manage to "work around" the problem to prove it was possible to have SLS items in a delivery, where the sub items referenced the higher level item in the delivery and that additionals created for it also.
We did this by manually unsetting the delivery completed indicator of the SLS subitems in the collective STO by directly editing the record (SE16N) as PO change transactions would not allow subitems to not be set for del complete.
This created exactly how we expected, with all associated additionals data in WTADAB.
Problem is in standard code WF10 sets the sub items as delivery complete, so it would appears that either I've got some config incorrect somewhere (possibly in shipping) or this functionality just conflicts with each other and that nobody has reported it before.
Any help would be great as we've spent a lot of time on this now and getting nowhere fast.

Is it possible to add item in Outbound delivery from a different STO

Hi experts
I have a question regarding adding an item in delivery from different STO.
we create outbound deliveries from STOs and at times we have all conditions same for shipping and we need to add another item in delivery from a different STO.
I am not getting an option in VL02 to ad another item with reference to STO, is it possible to create delivery by adding another item from STO?

You can combine STOS in to one OB delivery if they are all from teh same plant. You could use the customer master >> order combination indicator

Query to return list of all missing primary key ids from table T1

I found this query online that returns a start and stop for a range of all missing primary key id values from table T1. However i want to rewrite this query to return a whole list of all the missing primary key ids and not a start and stop range. any help plz?

When you are returning the material, you get a material document.
You create an Excise invoice by using J1IS transaction with reference to the material document.
This excise invoice will come for monthly utilization

Stock Transfer from one location to another through outbound deliveries

Dear GURUS n EXPERTS,
We have 5 warehouse and one manufacturing plant. Till this time we use two step Stock Transfer method to transferring stock from plant to ware houses.
Now, we want to use Shipping & Transportation System to to calculate transportation cost. But this system consider only outbound deliveries. So, our requirement is:
1. Create the outbound deliveries, but no billing.
2. Receive the material at warehouse against this outbound delivery but do not go for invoice booking.
How can we achieve it. Please guide us.

You may see the IMG path SPRO->Materials Management->purchasing->Purchase Order->Setup Stock Transport Order. Here, the most important ones are Assign Delivery Type and Assign Purchasing Document Type. Availability check, Delivery tolerances etc. are optional. You need shipping point to be created using transaction OVLZ.

QM notification attachment links are missing from table SRGBTBREL

Dear All,
We have problem in our system and the documents(specially QM notifications-QM02 03) are not accessible from the content server only for a specific period (Nov to Dec 2009) due to a missing link in SRGBTBREL (No idea how the entries are deleted).
Now we want to know, how we can establish a new link or restore the missing link in table SRGBTBREL ?
Also if someone can tell how to find the relation between the PHIO_ID and notification number ?
or the relation between Archive object id and notification..if we have this information then we can some standard function module provided by SAP.
or anyone else have any better idea , please share

Thanks for your reply , the given links were quite useful and we got some ideas that what should be the approach.
Approach to resolve the issue -
At this moment we are trying to get the relation between the SOOD , SRGBTBREL, SOFFPHIO tables.
SOFFCONT1 is no more useful for us as the documents are old and have been archived to Content Server.
We have all entries in the SOOD table and also in SOFFPHIO table, but in the SRGBTBREL the links are missing and hence the documents are not visible in SAP.
If somehow we can get the missing link is this table I am quite sure that documents wil be visible and accessible from SAP.
Our main target is to relate SOOD SRGBTBREL and SOFFPHIO and get the PHIO_ID for the mising documents and then we have a functional module which will help to get the data from content server.
As per my current unerstanding this is the relation between the tables
SRGBTBREL-INSTID_B is related to: SOOD-OBJTP,SOOD-OBJYR,SOOD-OBJNO,
Like FOL30000000000003EXT31000000002416
Here
SOOD-OBJTP = EXT
SOOD-OBJYR = 31
SOOD-OBJNO = 000000002416
And This elelement is than linked to table SOFFPHIIO as follows:
SOOD-IF_DOC_BCS = SOFFPHIO-LOIO_ID
In the table SOFFPHIO you can find the PHIO_ID what is linked to
SOFFCONT1 or the Archive Server
I am trying to solve the problem by using the approach mentioned above , still somehow I have some difficulties to get the links between the tables.
Can some one tell if my approach is correct or not ? or suggest with any other simple solution ?

Newbie - JDev Missing Entities from Tables (JPA/EJB 3.0) Option

I'm trying to run through the 'Introduction to EJB3.0 Using Oracle JDeveloper and OC4J' tutorial. One of the early steps says to select the 'Entities from Tables' option under the Business Tier/EJB category. I have six options available - CMP Entity Beans from Tables, EJB Data Control Wizard, EJB Diagram for EJB1.1, 2.0 and 2.1, Entity Bean, Message-Driven Bean, and Session Bean.
I have JDev Studio Edition Verion 10.1.3.0.4 (SU5) - Build JDEVADF_10.1.3_NT_060125.0900.3673

Thank you, Andrej. It appears the tutorial has not been updated for the version of JDev I have. I was able to get a few steps further down in the tutorial, but hit more stumbling blocks. This probably isn't something for a true java newbie to try. I'll see if I can find something more in line with my experience (or lack thereof).

We have created a new purchase order document type for intercompany stock transport order. If a PO has two line items, system is creating two outbound deliveries, though shipping point is same for both the line items.
Am I missing any config step

Display of missing values in a table view.

Hi everyone,
I have a table view with 7 columns and 10 rows which displays only those values which are missing in the DataBase Table.
Is it possible to show only the missing values as '-' in a table view, the table view is having 7 different fields.
Also when the value is inserted at run time the corresponding field should be updated accordingly and the value will no longer be displayed in the table view as '-'
please advice.

do you mean to say that in some rows some column values will be blank and you want to replace the blanks with '-'.
loop thru the itab which you are passing to tableview and for the blank cells pass '-'.

so you are having editable tableview. to update the value back to the dbtable, you have to read it in oninputprocessing and update it to dbtable .
search the forum on how to read the user entered value from the table view so that you can update the dbtable.

Error while deriving currency from table T001P
I am getting this error while payroll run by using country GRP=99 in SU2 for Non-SAP supported country.
I assigned country grouping as 99 in V_T500P table while assigning comp code to personnel area.
The company code is assigned with BD as country key in configuration and currency as BDT.
Referring previous links for the same error I checked all concerned tables and maintained correctly.
What will be the probable reason of this error?

I had the exact same problem a while back. The problem was that in V_T001 I had a different comp code which was either assigned to the same country that had a blank currency or assigned to the same currency but was missing the country. It was a different comp code than the one I was running payroll for so it took a long time to find the cause - I'll bet this is what's causing your error.

BAPI or FM to create outbound delivery from Sales order

Hello All,
My requirement is to create a outbound delivery from sales order. Also i need the batch number and texts to be updated in the delivery.
For this i need a single FM. The catch is that we don't have the batch number and texts in the sales order. That i have to take from some other delivery. I can get all the information .
The problem is that i can not find a FM through which i can create the delivery from the order and update the same.
I should not use two FM.
Could you please tell me some FM which does both in one go?

How do I do SELECT * FROM TABLE WHERE KEY IN ({list})?

Is there a reasonable performant way to perform the query

the optimizer will find it easy to cope with.You are right, the optimizer won't find that easy to deal with (presuming that is even relevant for your driver/database.) But most optimizers won't do anything with statements that change and that is what you are doing.
You could create several prepared statements which have a common number of bind variables. For example 10 statements with from 1 to 10 bind values. This will work if most of the queries use those.

Select * from table not working with Oracle OBDC driver

In our web development we have been using the MS ODBC for Oracle
driver to connect to our Oracle db. We decided to try the
Oracle ODBC driver because it supports the commandTimeout
property in ASP which the MS driver does not. The problem I'm
running into now is that all of our select * from table
statements appear not to be working. The Oracle ODBC driver
version we are using is ver 8.00.05.00. Is there something that
I'm not doing properly? If I take the same select * from table
statement and name the columns, I dont get any error. Otherwise
I'm getting a Subscript out of range error. It seems strange to
me that this driver would not support a select * from table
statement (which I''m told is the case by another developer
here).
Is there something I'm missing?

I'm positive I have a connection. Otherwise I wouldn't get a
response when I name the columns instead of using *.
There must be something else that I'm missing or doing wrong.
I've actually been looking into alternative ODBC drivers to see
if I have the same problems but none that I have found support
commandTimeout.
Any other ideas?
