  • Territory Management - Looking for integration with ERP Cost Centers

We are exploring using Territory management in CRM 7.0.  However, the hierarchy structure is really the same as our cost center structure in ERP.  The Business does not want to have to maintain this information twice.  Is there some way to update one from the other?  Or is there any integration between the two?

    Milan,
When we were first looking at automation/customization with Initiatives, the challenge was how different each project plan was. With all the different layouts and formats that different project leaders used in different areas of the same company, it make it impossible to come up with some way of standardizing how to get the data into Initiatives. If you were looking at bringing in the data to a table first, that would certainly solve that format issue.
Initiatives aren't populated with data from PAS, instead they are created manually in the system. There are pop-up boxes involved as well. I need to do some further research into how you could best do this.
    This would be a customization.
    Regards.

  • Data Migration for Territory Management Data in CRM 7.0

We are currently upgrading from CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0.  I am trying to understand how the Territory Management Data Migration process is going to work.  A requirement for us is to have all history from CRM 5.0 Territory Management available in CRM 7.0.
When executing program CRM_TERRMAN_DATA_MIGRATION, it appears that is is only creating a rule for the active atributes in CRMM_TERRATTRIB.  How can rules be created for inactive attributes?  Is it possible with the Data Migration Program?

You can consider a writing a custom program to migrate Territory attributes. You can use the FMs CRM_TERRMAN_SINGLE_READ_BUFFER, BAPI_TERRITORY_ATTR_CHANGE for that purpose.
Refer to my article below which may be useful-

  • Territory Management in CRM7.0

    Experts,
It seems that with CRM 7.0, the Territory Management has been changed a bit. The attributes you used to assign to a territory is now has to be done through Rule Builder.  I created the Rule Policy Type 'TR'. I can see all the attributes at the backend in the rule builder too. What I was trying to find is where to set the ruly policy and rule sets on the WebClient UI. Do you need any special authorizations to be able to see the link on the front end. I can see the link 'Rule Policy' under Sales Operations, but it's asking me for the context which is more for Rule Modeler used for other things, and not the Territory Management.
Can somebody please guide me through the front-end in creating the rules and assigning them to the territories?
    Thanks,
    Achilles.

    Hi Achilles,
yes,u r right In SAPCRM7.0 is some what change when compare to SAPCRM2007
In SAPCRM7.0 Territory Management & Loyality Management concepts are working through rule builder
You have read and understood the concepts of the rule builder.
step1) You have set the rule policy type for Territory Management to TM.
You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing  CRM Cross-Application Components-  Rule Builder-  Define Rule Policy Types.
step2)  You have created a rule policy and the required number of rule sets, in the CRM WebClient UI.
You will be able to create rule policies and rule sets only if authorization object CRM_FDT is assigned to your business role. Further, you need display authorization to CRM_FDT, to display rules.
step3) Standard attributes are provided and active by default. Create all the additional attributes you need, in IMG-  Customer Relationship Management  Master Data-  Territory Management-  Maintain Territory Attributes
    Hope this helps!

  • Territory Management Exception rules

Guys, we are on CRM 7.0 and need your expertise to understand how to build exception rules in Territory Management.
We have rules built upon Country/Regions and postal codes in US e.g.
    1. If country is US and region is New York then return Territory T1
    2. If postal code is from 18701 to 18711 or 18720 to 18735 then return Territory T2
Now I want to exclude some account numbers from these statements mentioned above like
    1. If country is US and region is New York then return Territory T1 but exclude account numbers 100001, 1000020, 100034, 100045
    2. If postal code is from 18701 to 18711 or 18720 to 18735 then return Territory T2 but exclude account number 123456, 123453, 183639, 1735283
How should I make my rules in system and building what operators.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,
you will Need to set-up two rules, one for Territory T1 which Looks like this
The "is between" Statement should include all NY ZIP codes and the exception all ZIP-Codes which should be assigned to territory T2
In the rule for Territory T2 you define only the ZIP-Codes which you have used as an exception in the rule for territory T1.
    Hope this helps

  • Territory Management CRM2007

    Hi,
Can anyone give suggestion on how can we implement the territory management functionality in 2007 in the same way SAP introduced in CRM 7.0 for account search and activity creation.
    Regards,
    Kamesh Bathla

    Hi David,
I am facing the same issue. I want to filter out a few of the employee responsible from my determined Territory. If I use the badi of defination CRM_TERRMAN_FILTER my problem of filtering the employees will be solved but I'm facing another challenge. This Badi is called only once when the application is called.
Steps1: CRMD_ORDER transaction and create a transaction. -- Badi is triggered and we can modify the BPs
Step 2: Create another transaction Business Transaction --> Create -- In this scenario the Badi is not called
Now I'm not able to find why the Badi is not called the second time. If i go and do a /NCRMD_ORDER then the Badi is triggered. Please let me know how you tackled this issue.

  • Sales Area, Organizational Model and Territory Management

    Dear Experts,
I'm meeting unexpected system behaviour (CRM Release 2007) during the configuration of the territory management, below the steps I have done:
    1. Define a new Employee from BP transaction
    2. Go to "Organizational Model", create a new position under the existing organizational unit and assign the new BP to it.
    3. Go to "Maintain Territory Hierarchy", add a regional level to the existing structure, add the new BP and set the appropriate territory attributes.
    4. Go to "Maintain sales area for territories from Org. Model", select the new regional level and click on "Show Sales Areas". The system shows as attributes status "Position 50000125 has no sales areas".
Where can I set the sales area for the territory?
Thanks in advanced for your help.
    Kind regards,
    Alberto

    Hi,
In TCODE CRMM_TERRMAN under the tab where the positions for a territory are assigned,
check if Territory attributes are maintained. There should be SA_SALES_AREA maintained here.
Also in TCODE PPOMA_CRM under the Function Tab check whether the Sales Area for the position is maintained.

  • Territory Management Uses

    Hi
Could someone tell me abt the use territory management on
    top of organizational structure?
In my company, we are starting the implementation of sap crm. We are considering the use of territory management. However all attributes we would use are already maintained in the organizational model existing in R/3. Are there advantages we should consider to justify that we would have to maintain the org model and the territories?
    thanks

    hi
territory assignment is always at the topmost level.it is standard practice being followed in CRM
see the advantage is that when you do segmentation you can use territory for the segmentation purpose
as you said you ahve your entire org structure maintained and all the attributes assigned  to it
so now you have entire thing ready ,having territory gives you the upperhand in that when you just assign attributes to the territory ,it will be automatically assigned to the entire org structure
you tell yourself that what will be more easy assigning position 100 times or assigning just 1 time so that for single assignment 100 assignment takes place
so this way territory give you useful enhancement to do your segmentation under condtion that you have your org structure ready with the attributes.
else you wont be able to use this utility.

  • Account Hierarchy / Territory Management

Would appreciate some clarification on the following topics:
    (CRM 2007)
    Territory Management:
I have created two partner functions: Sales Rep and Sales Assistant with Terr AFC: 000, however in crmm_terrman, as soon as I assign one partner function to a person of the position, the other person in the position acquires the same function. ie. I can not assign different partner functions to two different people in the same position.
    Is this correct?
Finally, we have added BP_NODE_GUID as an attribute in the territory. As per note 494873 we know that there is no link between the R/3 hierarchy nodes / accounts and the BP GUID in CRM.
The determination of the 'sales rep' of the territory is not working where the attribute is account hierarchy. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
    Thanks for your help!

  • How to start or Territory management

    Dear Sir,
I need to use territtory management in CRM 5.0. But now it still not configure. Please kindly suggest or advise how to configure.
    Thank you ka.
    Best regards,
    Vimol

    1. Create a BP with with BP Category as person and role as employee, maintain as user
in this BP the attributes  such as Postal Code, Region and Country are maintained.
    2. Assign this employee as a user to your orgaziation structure.
    3. A. Create a new territory using transaction (crm_terrman) with
       --- Terrritory
       --- Region
       --- Area
      B. Assign the employee
    4. Create a partner deterrmination procedure and Acess sequence (0030) to partner determination procedure.
    5. Open a new sale order and and enter this BP with Role as Sold to party. It will give a popup and show the territories which will have the same Postal Code , region and country. When we select the territory created by us ir will automatically give the employee responsible for same.

  • How to get Manager name of a particular BP/User from territory management

    Hi Guys,
I want to retrieve the Manager name of a particular BP/User from territory management. The manager might be in any territory hierarchy level above the user.
    Please guide.
    Regards,
    Shaili

    Hi Shailip,
Basically Territory hierarchy is customized based on client's business, from your reply if i understood properly i think your territory has 3 levels and
    First level : District
    Second level: Area
    Third level: Branch
when an employee at third level is passed, you need employees assigned to area and district levelwhich are above Branch(in your case managers)
    Solution:  Example
First level : District - territory length(2 char)
Second level: Area - - territory length(4 char)
Third level: Branch- territory length(4 char)
    1. Read the territory hierarchy(which is customized to meet clients requirement) using function module
CRM_TERRMAN_TERRLEVEL_READ ehich gives territory levels with territory length and territory offset
    2. pass employee(business partner number) to FM  CRM_TERRMAN_TERR_EMP_DETERMINE  and get the branch path id.
    3. Based on territory length for above levels drill down to Area's path id and District's path id and pass those path id's to
    FM CRM_TERRMAN_EMPLOYEE_DETERMINE  to get managers.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Priyanka

  • Membership management in CRM

    Dear all,
Could someone outline how membership of a member organisation might be managed in CRM.
    Creation / renewal of membership
Maintaining member privileges with relation to the type of membership they have for the period of that membership.
The only way I can think of is via a contract with a given validity period.
    thanks
    Tim

    Hi Tim
My company has built a solution template for this. Generally spoken you are on the same way that we chose. You could also go using standard orders, partner product ranges or marketing attributes and generate membership invoices from there - it makes not such a big difference, but using a sales order / contract is the most 'standard' way.
