Missing Planned Orders

R/3 4.7 - Long term planning
MS01 is not creating planned orders as I would expect for approx one-hundred materials (of thousands).  -- Plant level
But when I run MS02 -- Material level, then planned orders are created.
I need this to work at the plant level.  MS01 and MSBT (nightly batch job).
Thank you for solutions!

  • Conversion of planned orders to production orders

    Hi,
we are doing mass conversion of planned orders to production orders and performing capacity availability check, how system will give log information based on these two things,
when i perform availability check at time of order creation and will not allow to create if anything is missing (i selected user decides option in configuration), does it show any error log report and where can i see.
When i perform availability check at time of release, if anything missing it will not allow to release and give a choice for a user to release in normal production order creation process, how it will work in mass conversion. is there any standard report to look at missing planned orders so that users will come to know and then decides whether to convert to production order or not.
    thanks in advance.

    Dear ,
In SM38-Enter PPBICO40 -Execute -Here you need to Mark the Output log option with Erros only or Error Folder for each MRP controller  .Frist you do it in test mode and then remove test mode , mark the Output log option as per requured field and check the result .
refer this useful thread : Program PPBICO40 for conversion of planned orders to production order

  • Missing part for planned order-reg

    Hi,
I want to see missing parts list against planned orders. I checked through MDVP but it shows all components as missing parts eventhough stock is available.
Is there any way to see this.
    Regards
    Karthik

    Dear Karthikeyan,
In general Availability check is done at production order level and rarely in REM scenario's this check is
carried out at planned order level.
Because planned order's are a proposal, which may/may not be converted into a production order.
At planned order level you carry out an ATP check and its based on the checking group, checking
    rule,and the scope of check.
So check the config settings in OPJJ particularly for the scope of check.
Here the check box -->check without RLT plays a vital role.
once after carrying out ATP,the system shows the committed quantity, say if the order is for 100 and
suppose if the raw materials are available only for making 20 means then after making ATP check in the
planned order header you can see an additonal field called commited quantity below the order quantity.
Check in MD12 for an individual planned order and it works based on the availability check value
    assigned in the material master.

  • CCR Error 154 - Planned Order Missing in R3 with External Key

    Hi Experts,
We have duplicate orders generated for E Type products at a particular locations. When I went into the CCR then one error was observed - Planned Order Missing in R3 with External Key (CCR Error 154). And all the duplicate orders which were of PPDS Orders only came into the CCR log.
Request you all that if anyone has any information regarding this then please reply.
    Thanks and Regards
    Joseph

    Hi,
This error occurs in cases where order is deleted in APO and not deleted in R3.
Reason and steps to be followed in CCR:
Orders once deleted in APO wil have change pointer R and orders created in APO which has to flow to R3 will be having change pointers C.
In this case you need to follow the steps mentioned below.
step 1 select change pointers icon x then do iteration . This will delete the orders in R3 and bot R3 and APO will be in sync.
w/o selecting change pointers icon X if we do the iteration you will get PPDS planned orders in APO since  orders to be deleted in R3 is not actually deleted and flow back to APO and hence you will have duplicate orders.
step 2 select orders with change pointers C , seletc the change pointers icon X and do the iteration.
This will publish the orders in R3 and will return back to APO.
In your case step 1 was not followed and hence you are getting duplicate orders.
    Thanks,
    nandha

  • Variant configuration on planned orders, missing dependencies rules

    Dear Gurus,
I`m facing a strange situation here. After MRP run, de material is corrected explode, but is not considering a procedure in a specific dependency rule. Instead of making the correct UoM calculation for convertion, the system is just considering the dimension of the item, and not the formula on the dependency rule.
If I simulate the process under CU50, the explotion works fine, but, on planned order creation, the information is completely wrong.
If does anyone have a clue on this, I`ll be glad to to give some points.
    Kind regards to all
    Oliver Formicola

    Hi Oliver.
where is this OD assigned. Is it on the header level or lower level ? There is a restriction when it comes to MRP.
When you create a planned order (MD11) the items are configured ie object dependencies are run only the ones attached to the items, the od's assigned the profile arenot run. Additionally , please review note 546516 that has explaination on the fields if you are using.
Please provide more explaination if that doesnot help
    Thanks

  • Planned order missing in md04

    Hello,
i did a confirmation for 100 quantites in APO ppds 10 days back, but i was not able to see the planned order in md04 tcode.
But yesterday i could see the planned order in md04 tcode.
Please let me know what would be the reason.
    Thanks in advance.
    karthi.

    Hi Karthi,
The planned order got created 10 days back once the confirmation
has happened which is the SAP standard functionality.
But once it is created, it is not updated in md04 due to inconsistency.
It would have got struck in inbound/outbound queues or it would have
got displayed as a result of /sapapo/ccr run or upon clearing the
    queues.

  • SNP Planned order start and end dates are not calculated correctly

    Hello SNP Guru's
The SNP planned orders generated after the Heuristics run, have a start and end date based on the Activity Duration (Fixed), while the resource consumption is based on the Bucket Consumption (Variable), which is correct.
The Activity Duration (Fixed) is based on the BOM Base Quantity. So if the Activity Duration = 1 day, and if the order quantity is more than a day, the start and end dates, still shows as 1 day. So no matter what is the order quantity, the start and end dates is always = 1 day.
Does anyone have any experience in implementing any code to change the start and end dates on SNP Planned Order?
Seems like it should work as standard.
    Am i missing something?
    Thanks,
    Mangesh

    Dear Mangesh,
SNP is a infinite planning tool. If you have defined fixed duration to be 1 DAY in the activity, no matter how many quantity you input for your planned order, the order will last for one day. If the resourced is overloaded, you then run capacity levelling to
banlance the capacity. What your expected beahavior happens in PPDS planning.

  • Source determination not happening during PR creation from Planned order

    Hi Experts
We have set up source determination and we have created a sourcelist of material and a vendor is fixed, there is a inforecord alos maintined,
I am trying to convert a planned order from MD04 to a purchase requisition, the source is not being assigned for the PR, I am alos getting an  information saying that 'the material is defined for inhouse production'
secondly if I click the 'Assign Source of Supply', then I am getting an error 'not possible to assign  a source of supply'.
The material is a finished material 'FERT' with procurement key 'X' so in MRP an planned order gets generated for converting a PR or a production order.
Note - I was doing this effectively in a differnt client without any proble.  I am unable to find what I am missing, please sugest.

    Nagaraj Chaganti wrote:
Thank you everyone for the suggestions,  The issue is resolved by testing with a new material with tproper master data.  Basically the problem occured when some user created additional inforecord for the same P,Org hence there was no automatic source detemination happening.

a second info record may explain that AUTOMATIC source determination ddid not work but it does not explain the error messagees you described earlier.

  • Planned order creation - DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR

    Hi ,
Recently we have done the ECC6.0 migration. Migration in the sense
    Server A    ECC6.0        Maxdb          to             Server B    ECC6.0    Sqlserver.
we took the database export from server A and imported to Server B.
After completing the migration we are facing a problem.
Using Trx code MD11 I am creating Planned order. It is giving Planned order XXXXX will be created.
when I try to go back  it shows Express document "update was terminated" received from Author ************.
Also when I go MD13 and try to retrive the same planned order it says the order XXXXX doesn't exists.
I am seeing a dump in ST22.Runtime error.
    Error 22.04.2010 DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
Cann't insert NULL into column "ADCODE" Table "RESB"
Column doesn't allow NULLS . Insert Fails.
But for server A with MaxDB I am able to create planned order. There it is not giving this error. After Migration only I am getting this error.
    Any Help is Appreciated.
    Regards,
    Guru.

    Please check note 1377270.
There was a known problem with the R3load creating NOT NULL columns without defaults. For large tables with more than 28 columns, NOT NULL columns beyond the 28th column could be missing the default binding.
If you now run an INSERT against such a table you'll get the mentioned error.

  • Planned order to Process order

    Dear Guru's,
While Planned order we are converting into Process order and if any RM is missing no warninig message appear.
    What is missing in this.
    regards,
    Vijay Pabale

    Dear,
No warning message appears because you need to set in your OPJK under material tab weather you want check or not.
And under release material you need to decide:
1     User decides on release if parts are missing
2     Release permitted despite missing parts
3     No release if parts are missing: It will stop you from release.

  • Planned orders are not taking into account the processing time

    Hi,
Could you please tell me why planned orders quantities are not based on processing time from the material master.
Materials was set before with 1 day in house production , no matter of lot size.
Based on routings I updated material master with processing time depending on lot size.
What is bottering me now is that planned orders are not taking into account processing time. (e.g.  based on my processing time 1000 pce are produced  in 3 days, but planned orders show me that 1000 pce are still need  in 1 day , but it  can not be produced in 1 day   ).
    what did I miss?
Thanks a lot for any information!

    Hello Simona
The in house production time from tab MRP 2 is lot size independent.
However, on tab work scheduling you can define a lot size dependent times.
Please observe that, if you have entered an in house production time, the processing time will not be considered. The F1 help of the field provides the following explanation:
You can define work scheduling times in the material master record in one of two ways:
Either you enter the in-house production time. If required, you can get the system to update this value from the routing.
Or you enter the setup, teardown, processing, and interoperation times. If you maintain these values, the system determines the in-house production time on the basis of lot size.
Therefore, if you want to consider the processing time, you should remove the in house processing time.

  • Error in Conversion of Planned Orders to AFS production Orders

    Dear Mam/Sir,
We are working in AFS Scenario. There are following observations during
AFS BOM/Planned order conversion/Material availabilty as follows:
    1) When Item category 'T'(Text Item) is used ,with 'witout fixed qty. indicator'in AFS BOM,then during the MRP Run BOM gets exploded & dependent requirements are created for AFS /non-AFS Components. But, when Bill of Material Tab is accessesd in the Planned Order system throws error'REQUIRED PARAMETER MISSING WHEN CALLIN UP MODULE MARC_SINGLE_READ'.When this planned order is converted to Production order, Order reservation is created only for NON-AFS(std. component).
    2) When a Planned order(with all BOM components item  category 'L') is converted ,then system gives error in material availability check : Message no.AG022'An error occurred during Remote Function call on the ATP Server'.
    3) When for a AFS material BOM components with item category'L' is used an order is created.during material availabilty check system shows missing part. The moment  a 'text' item is added in BOM the for the same order system commits all components.Though components are missing.
    Kindly advise.
    regards,
    Stuti

    Hi,
Good to know that your problem is resolved.
But the error you mentioned appears may be because of configuration problems.
You should check what is account assignment category mentioned in the corresponding requirement class for the strategy group you have used in the materials master.
Also you should check the settlement profile that you have used for your order types.
The account assignment category and settlement profile maintained, must be set properly so that allowed transactions are executed.
Also, there is problem with the message itself which appears for many reasons. More particularly when you are in MTO / ETO scenario or using WBS to create orders. This make it difficult to check the correct cause of the problem!!

  • Scheduling problem in planned order.

    Hi all,
I have a problem in scheduling of planned orders.
I had mentioned the following parameters.
    1. Available capacity in the work center as 06:00:00 to 12:00:00
2.Set up time is 10mins in the routing.
    3. The planned order qty is 100 nos.
While doing manual scheduling in planned order, the system proposes the start time as 11:50am and finish time as 12:00am. But as per calculation, for 100nos x 10 mins = 1000 min = 17 hrs.
But the system calculated 10 mins for 100 nos.
Is there anything i am missing , due to which the system is doing wrong scheduling.
    With regards,
    Afzal

    dear afzal ,
system is taking setup time only for first piece you are machining and for rest other 99 piece its not considering the setup time.
Check in the formula you are using if its defined as only to consider one time the setup activity or its taking piece wise/quantity  wise.
Check and change it , it will solve your problem.
    Hope it helps you.
    regards
    Ritesh
