Missing Resource & Configuration Tab

I just installed indentity manager and trying to follow admin guide to pick it up. I dont see Resource or Configuration tabs as shown in the guide. I need to configure a resource adapter to sun directory and test it. I followed everything in insall docs. Is there anything i need to do to get these two tabs. I login using the default Administrator account.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You have to login as default configurator not as administrator. username:configurator default password:configurator

• Product Configurator tab missing in Sales Order in ICWC for complaints

Hello
Our environment - ECC 6.0 & CRM 6.0
We have variant config items created in ECC & downloaded to CRM via Knowledgebase & runtime versions.
The customer service reps place the order via ICWC.
Till now only standard sales orders were being created in CRM ICWC and the Credit Memos were created using Transaction launcher.
Now we are trying to move the creation of Credit Memo's in CRM via the complaints function.
I am running into an issue while testing Variant Config items in a Credit Memo in the ICWC. I get an error saying Configuration for the Item missing. I am not able to find the Configuration tab in the Order.
When I place the same item in a Standard Sales order, the Configuration tab shows up and I can select my option and all works fine.
Is there any setting specific to the transaction types or Item type for a Credit Memo ?
Can anyone let me know what I am missing ?
Thanks in advance
Vinit

Hello Vinit
I will add the most simple case to create a new configuration:
A role configuration key must be created in path
IMG-CRM-UI Framework -- Technical role definition -- Define role configuration key
The role configuration key must be assigned to your business role in
IMG-CRM-UI Framework -- Business roles --Define business role
Then to create the configuration:
Transaction bsp_wd_cmpwb
`component   BT162I_CPL
Btn display
Go to views and double click BT162I_CPL/CreditItemOVViewSet
Tab configuration
New configuration
Role Config. Key <Your role configuration key>
Component Usage      <DEFAULT>
Object Type          <DEFAULT>
Object Subtype       <DEFAULT>
Type:   Overview page
Then use the arrows to move available assignment blocks to displayed assignment blocks
You can also use load option to decide if the assignment block will be initially displayed or the end user must press one click to display it.
Btn Save
The configuration is saved and will be displayed if you enter the web UI with the business role that was assigned to your role configuration key.
Another option instead of creating a new configuration for the view is to copy the configuration from the standard one and then make changes to it, but I am not sure if it would work in this case because the standard configuration was created before the note had been implemented. For this you should use button "Copy configuration"

• Foreign System Configuration Tab Missing in ConsoleOne

We installed the GroupWise 7 Gateway for Microsoft Exchange SP2 and are trying to configure the gateway. However, we are missing the Foreign System Configuration Tab in ConsoleOne.
We've rerun the install and selected to just install the ConsoleOne snapins, but are still not seeing the Foreign System Configuration tab. I can see the file gwex.jar in the ConsoleOne\1.2\snapins\groupwise folder on the computer I ran the gateway installation from so I think the snapin is installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

• CRM IMG nodes are missing in SOLAR01 - configuration Tab

hi Experts
i am facing very strange issue. I am trying to link IMG nodes from the backend system in configuration tab.
the IMG nodes are available in backend system from SPRO , whereas when i try to add the IMG object from the configuration Tab in solar01, these nodes are not available for the selection.
Does any body faced these kind of situation.
Please help with the solution
Thanks
Sol man

Hi,
Make sure that those nodes are selected in the IMG project scope. This can be seen at SPRO_ADMIN for the IMG project, under tab "scope".
If the nodes are not selected, select them and generate the project IMG.
best regards,
Fabricius

• Error while editing resource configuration

When I am trying to edit any resource configuration under the resource tab I am getting below erro.
Does anyone has any idea what could be wrong?
com.waveset.exception.ItemNotFound: Item AdminGroup:null(id=#ID#11D1DEF534EA1BE0:72D873:1069424B798:4802) was not found.
Thanks
Kapil

Got it,
I had exported one user from other IDM environment and imported into the environment where I was getting this error. That user was having some admin groups assigned which were not present in the IDM env.
I just removed all the admingroups from that user entry and imported inot the system back.

• Some Activities are missing Resource assignments form an imported v7.0 file

Hello,
What could cause missing resources from an activity after importing a v7.0 project?
I received an imported v7.0 file which is found to be missing some resources. The schedule owner provided the exported file along with a Activity Cost-Loading Report. The ACR lists each resource's activity associations. I created the same report only to find missing resources (materials, money, etc.)
Digging into the schedule do not provide any resolution.
Interestingly, 2 resources are being assigned 3 times to the same activity and only one is showing up on the imported file. Again, the schedule owner's program does include.
The file is exported from a server based and imported into a standalone. The schedule owner is not a superuser/admin unlike the standalone.
Thanks for your time!
Best Regards.
Keith
Knowledgebase Solution:
"XER with duplicate Roles/Resources on an activity is not importing all the roles/resources [ID 905700.1]
If the same resource is assigned to an activity multiple times, one of the following fields must be unique for the additional resource assignments to be
imported. The fields are:
- Activity ID
- Project ID
- Cost Account ID
- Resource ID
- Role ID
- Price / Unit
This is by design.
Workaround for importing XER:
Within the Import wizard, on the Update Project Options dialog, select the Modify button. Set the Action for Activity Resource Assignments to Insert
New as shown below.
Please Note: This will only work if you are NOT using timesheets. If using timesheets do not try this or risk losing timesheet data."
Works but be aware that actuals are not updated. Had to provide a unique identifier as stated above in order for actuals to be reported.

I working for a retail giant company, they bought Adobe LiveCycle and its in their laptop, where am working
I am developing an VISITOR Adobe Interactive Form, i have Designer 8.1 and Reader 9.0 in my Windows 7 Laptop. When i checked the menu EDIT-->form properties --> Compatability, its Adobe XML form File (XDP)
When i opened this VISITOR interactive form in a browser, right clicking and checked form PROPERTIES, then i saw the "PDF Version: 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)"
I am trying to debug my Java script on a VISITOR interactive form, i found this link in google
http://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=950914
But, when you see my case, i did not see the mentioned MENU-->EDIT-->PREFERENCES-->CONSOLE stuff on my development, pls. see the below screen shots and suggest me how to put the debugger settings in my case,
1_I did not see any MENU here on the LiveCycle Designers in order to set the settings of debugging my Java Script
==============================================================
2_I did not see any MENU either on this tab of PREVIEW of PDF.....in order to set the settings to debug my Java Script
==============================================================
3_I guess.... this is not the EDIT item on MENU your are referencing in your SDN answer, because, i did not see any PREFERENCES option under this EDIT
==============================================================
4_If i open any external (this is Adobe Acrobat Guide downloaded from Google) PDF, there i can see MENU_EDIT_PREFERENCE items_but, in my developement I can not see this stuff in order to put debugger settings
Thank you,

• Missing Content Manager Tab

Hello guy's
I'm really new in SAP EP. Now I#m missing the 'ContentManagement' Tab in the Top level Navigation.
Which role I need to see this Tab??
Role 'Content Manager' is known!!!
Thanks in advance
Christian

Hello Christian,
does this happen to others users (administrators) or just you? And,
have your Portal been recently installed, because accordingly to that
screenshot I think you may not have KM totally configured.
Do you have CM repository and Entry point Providers created?
If that's the case please check this document:

• "missing or invalid personalization information missing resource library" On CS2

Problem:
I just installed CS2 on my Gateway Desktop the other day. I was unable to use CS2 because I maxed out my serial code on another laptop for work. I went a head and deactviated the serial for CS2 and uninstalled it on the laptop. So I could use the CS2 on my Gateway Desktop and transfer the serial code.
I go to my Desktop and the CS2 still won't load right. Okay, so I try to uninstall the CS2. But there's no uninstall file and it's not showing up in the uninstall manager in Windows 7. So go a head and delete the majority of the CS2 in my program files and then try reinstall a fresh copy of CS2. I get an error "missing or invalid personalization information missing resource library."
How can I get around that new error? So I can reinstall a working copy of CS2 on my desktop. It's a bit frustrating. Anybody experience the same problem? Any insight would be great. Thanks
-Brian L
System using:
Gateway Desktop DX4822 Windows 7 Home
Intel 2 quad CPU Q8400 @2.66

Thanks for the link, I tried following the directions to further removing the components but had no luck. So I went a head and reformated the computer so I can reinstall a clean CS2.
Good new is it's not nagging about a inproper serial now. Bad new is whenever I try to install the CS2 in the C:\Program Files (x86)\adobe It says "The path you selected for installation contains unsupported characters. Please choose a different folder for installation, so I try C:\Program Files (x86)\adobe2. I still get that prompt blocking me.
I did some homework on compatability issues like mention. Some people mention to reclick and and select compatability tab and service pack 3 as admin. I gave that a go. All that did was reboot the computer. A few people claim that got CS2 working for windows 7 already here, other's couldn't:

• Missing resources when try to open exel file

Hi guys
I have this one problem driving me insane.
One of our users have a problem with excel.
It seems to be pretty random. it even does this with small standard excel files.
When trying to open a new exel file, it says missing resources.
I have tried to kill everything in task manager using the memory, so it uses about 30% memory but still.
i have tried to expand the page file
tried to reinstall office
- But with no luck
The client is a 32 bit with 4 gigs of ram.
I've readden on a forum that it could be a office error if you tried to mark all colums.
But the user dont mark anything when the error occurs.
Looking forward to hear from you :-)

Hi Jesper,
Since this memory error message can be very generic and don't always identify the real cause of the issue. If you are sure not hitting a resource limitation, you can try methods in the following link.

I believe there are some other concerns as well
<cache-mapping>
<cache-name>cacheEquityMarket</cache-name>
<scheme-name>distributed-cache1</scheme-name>
<init-params>
<init-param>
<param-name>java.lang.String</param-name>
<param-value>{cache-name}</param-value>
<param-name>local-storage</param-name>
<param-value system-property="cacheEquityMarket.localstorage">true</param-value>
</init-param>
</init-params>
</cache-mapping>
The cavhe-config.dtd shows the cache-mapping as
<!ELEMENT cache-mapping
(cache-name, scheme-name, init-params?)>
Where init-params is defined as
!ELEMENT init-param
((param-name | param-type), param-value)>
Which states either have a param-name or a param-type with a param-value
Which would change the above xml to:
<init-params>
<init-param>
<param-name>java.lang.String</param-name>
<param-value>{cache-name}</param-value>
</init-param>

Hi,
Finally I was able to resolve after adding this jar file to the classfile
path of the application.
Now,I am trying to access use linkTable.add(new Item(222,"222","333",12.33)) in JSP.
where linkTable is a LinkedList.
It fails giving following error:
This is the Error Message from the Exception:
Server caught unhandled exception from servlet [BaseServlet]: Server caught unhandled exception from servlet : Server caught unhandled exception from servlet [jsp]: Compilation of "softproduct.jsp" failed: d:\ibm\WAServer\temp\default_host\WCSServlets\_jameco_2F_softproduct_2E_jsp_jsp_2.java:824: No constructor matching Item(int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, double) found in class jack.samples.Item. linkTab.add(new Item(2222,"222","222",22.33)); ^ Note: d:\ibm\WAServer\temp\default_host\WCSServlets\_jameco_2F_softproduct_2E_jsp_jsp_2.java uses or overrides a deprecated API. I dont understand why it is failing to add Item object to LinkedList.
can somebody help me in the forum in this regard.
Thanks

• CRMD_ORDER (Quotaion) - "Configuration" tab - (not able to see HTML page)

Hi Gurus
when I open a quotation through CRMD_ORDER, in th items "configuration" tab I am not able to see the HTML page. I am here at offshore. But my onsite guys are able to see that. Please let me know what causes it not be displayed.
Please help me. It is very Urgent

Dear Jitendra,
In Production Order you will find Component and Operation screen under two different icons (not tab) production Header screen.
- For Component Overview it is something like Balance or on pressing F6 you will branch to Component overview Screen.You will find it just after Hat icon
- And for Operation over view it looks like ladder or on pressing F5 you will branch directly to operation screen.you will find this icon just after Component overview Icon.

• The directory service is missing mandatory configuration information, and is unable to determine the ownership of floating single-master operation roles.

We are in the process of removing a child domain from the forest and are down to two DCs. These are both Server 2008r2 sp1 servers, one physical and virtual (PDC). When I try to remove a DC (not the PDC emulator) I get the following error:
The operation failed because:
Active Directory Domain Services could not transfer the remaining data in directory partition DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=mydomain,DC=local to
Active Directory Domain Controller \\V-Svr03.mydomain.local.
The directory service is missing mandatory configuration information, and is unable to determine the ownership of floating single-master operation roles."
I have checked replication with repadmin /showrepl and all connections were successful. The dcdiag /test:kccEvent test on all servers passed.
Most DCdiag tests are successful. The only failure is on NCSecDesc when running dcdiag /test:NCSecDesc
Testing server: Default-First-Site\DC1-DEV-OFC
Starting test: NCSecDesc
Error NT AUTHORITY\ENTERPRISE DOMAIN CONTROLLERS doesn't have

access rights for the naming context:
DC=ForestDnsZones,DC=hookemup,DC=local
......................... DC1-DEV-OFC failed test NCSecDesc
In researching this I find "If you do not plan to add an RODC to the forest, you can disregard this error."
We have not successfully run ADprep /rodcPrep nor do we plan on having any Read-Only DCs, so I think we can ignor this error. We did try running ADprep /rodcPrep but got an LDAP error which I can duplicate if this is important.
Schema and Naming FSMOs are on a DC higher in the forest. RID, PDC, and Infrastructure FSMOs for the child domain are on the Virtual server (PDC).
Any guidance on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated as I have no more hair on my head to pull.

Ok... I ran repadmin /showreps /v again and it shows no errors
