Missing Role display in BI7 Analyser

Hi
We are trying to remove sap_all from all our users in BI7.
We have generally completed the admin tasks but we have an issue with Analyser Role display.
We have created workbooks and assigned them to roles and if the user has sap_all they can see the workbooks in the role menu. If they don't have sap_all they don't have any roles displayed in the 'open' window when using analyser also they don't have an infoarea icon displayed under the role icon.
I think this is probably something quite simple but I can't spot it. By the way we have created the roles manually using our BW3.x knowledge.

Hi Jerry,
In the role given to the user's (other than SAP_ALL). Just include the Two authorization objects:
S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1.
Please provide these values for the 2 authorization objects for display and execute purpose for the users as bwloe:
ACTVT: Display, Execute (03,16)
RSINFOAREA: *
RSINFOCUBE: *
RSZCOMPID: *
RSZCOMPTP: *
Don't give any write/edit activities.
Then they can see all the queries, workbooks and infoareas.

1. Make sure the target cost version 0 (TCode: OKV6) is maintained correctly.
2. Update run the variance calculation (Tcode: KKS6/KKS5) for the PCC.

How do I resolve X11 ""RANDR" missing on display "localhost:10.0"" for OX 10.6.7 error?

Typically this error ( "RANDR" missing on display "localhost:10.0") doesn't cause any problems but it is annoying.
Is there a solution for this?

I searched the Apple support docs for "X11" and ran across this article:

Using "ssh -Y root@hostname" indeed fixed the issue.
Normally, I have "ForwardX11 yes" in my /etc/ssh_config and I don't use "-X" on the command line.
So, per OpenSSH's FAQ, I added "ForwardX11Trusted yes" underneath the above config statement and I can again use just "ssh root@hostname" without a -Y.

I get UMEException with the message "Role with uniqueName com.ABC.general not found"
But it works fine if i specify Role unique role (like pcd:portal_content/com.abc.Marketing_Workbench/com.abc.Roles/com.abc.general).
We are in the process of upgrading Portal environment from EP6.0 SP12 to EP7.0 SP13. Above scenario works fine in the older environment.

Forums installation and missing roles

hello,
i've installed a portal with and users are from ABAP Source.
then i've added forums application.
all is fine, i've created my iviews from template.
the problem i'm facing is concerning the forum iview for assigning an initial forums system administrator.
the documentation say that this iviews must be assigned to a role with at leat one user with the following roles :
JiveAdminDefinitionRole
Administrators
but these roles doesn't exists in my portal!
my portal administrator has role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN, that's all
how to create those missing roles?

Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0" with optimus

I have a few problems with my hybrid video cards (Intel HD4000 and Nvidia 630M). I followed the steps in this wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bumblebee and I tried to install all with: pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-libgl (all related with my intel video card is in my system). Also I have installed primus-git, bbswitch-git and bumblebee-git.
But the first problem that I had when I installed the Nvidia driver is, it shows me a conflict between mesa-libgl and nvidia-libgl. I "solved" this (for now) running pacman -Sdd nvidia-libgl but it removes mesa-libgl and without it I can't use my intel video card with GLX aceleration and I need it. How to avoid this conflict?
The second thing is my Nvidia card and bumblebee. After all, when I run optirun glxgears -info I get this error:

Thanks for the answer sano. I installed the mesa-libgl and lib32-mesa-libgl (I forgot to mention that my system is x86_x64) with the command pacman -Sdd mesa-libg lib32-mesa-libgl and that automatically removes the lib32-nvidia-libgl and nvidia-libgl without problem.
Now I run glxgears -info and shows me the GLX test and it gives me about 60FPS with the Intel. If I run primusrun glxgears -info it gives me the same 60FPS (that's extrange I think, should be more). Same thing for glxspheres and/or using optirun instead primusrun.
I ran some games, mostly from Steam and the diference between the Intel and the Nvidia is waaaay too long (in terms of performance). So, I think bumblebee is working fine and is using the Nvidia.

Role display in RRMX

Hi Experts,
I created a new role in PFCG.When i entered a TCode- RRMX which is for BEX analyser,So i created a report there and tried to save the report in the newly created role but i can't find the role i created in PFCG in the bex.
When we type rrmx an excel will open and a pop window with left had menu options favourates,history,role & info arear how can i display newly created role in RRMX

Try to open a query and click on SAVE button. then you should be able to see the new 'role'. Also make sure that you come out and relogin to BEx..

BI7 Analysis Authorisations?

With the introduction of analysis authorisations in BI7, am I correct in thinking the old roles such as S_RS_COMP are no longer used and we, instead, create a role which contains 0TCAACTVT, 0TCAIPROV and 0TCAVALID?

If we want field level security then in 3.5 is called Reporting Authoizations in 7.0 is called Analysis Authorizations.....
Prerequisite for AA is infoobject should be authorization relevent.
one AA can contain multiple characteristics.We can add AA directly to the user...
If we want assign to a role then use S_RS_AUTH then assign this role to the user.....

Ecc6 SU01 - Role Display (Icon)

We've just started testing Ecc6 system (we are upgrading).
When displaying our existing roles for a user in SU01 we see some have missing icons for single role.
The display in SUIM (Roles by complex selection criteria) is fine.
Role with missing icon has profile in user ok.
Is this a new feature?

Missing Role Grants after datapump

I have a problem with datapump. I am using some include filters to get the relevant data exported. One of these filters inlcudes the ROLES of my database which starts with a certain expression.
After the export into another database these roles exists but all of the role grants and the grants to other users misses. The object grants are exported correctly.
What am I doing wrong?

BW Report to display whole spend analysis

Hello Experts - My client wants to display and analyze whole spend analysis. Request is to include invoices booked on Purchase Orders and invoices directly booked on Cost centers. I know we can get the Purchase order invoice information from the cube 0PUR_C01 cube and I am not sure how to get the invoice information directly booked in FI. Are there any standard business content objects available. Appreciate your help.

Long Text Missing In COA(Certificate of Analysis) Report

Hi Friends,
We have a case where Long text entered in the results recording is missing in the COA Report for only certain Batches .
For same MICs and COA Profile,the Long text is displayed correctly in the report for the different batches.
I have investigated this and text element been used in the MIC is 0024 Code short text with results long text.
We have checked the COA Profile for this MIC and material has been assigned ,so profile find to be correct.
The SAP form used for COA Print is a standard and MIC is of Qualitative.
Could you please help on this .

No idea really but look at this:
Any chance the user was logged in with a differnt language when they created the long text? If they logged in as ES for instance, the long text might be stored as ES. But the COA is bring printed in EN so the ES long text is not found.
Do you see an entry in table STXH for the long text for the batches that don't display it? (Text ID is QMEP).
I'd compare the entries in STXH for a long text that prints and one that doesn't and see if you notice any differences.

Workbook Text Elements are missing After Upgrade to BI7.0

I am unable to see "Text Elements" in Workbook which is migrated from BW3.x to BI 7.0.
I am using Windows XP, MS-office 2007, GUI 710 FEP5.
workbook is working fine with Bex 3.0
I had checked all the pre- requisite for BI 7.0 and BEx .

This is an Known issue while upgrading WB's to BI7 and we have posted the same to SAP.
Try this procedure,
Open your 3.x Wb in BI7-bex - Click okie on Bex upgrade popup.
Click on change variables in your WB now and enter necessary variable values.
Now save you WB in BI7-Bex . Try re opening the same WB,
You have to see your text elements now after refresh.
if u save the same WB, w/o refresh or change varaibles, you will again miss text elements.
The below is the reply from SAP.
" As following to our call, I was able to open the workbook sap_test2( test WB that SAP has created in our system to replicate the problem) and to refresh it in the latest patch 17. However after saving it without
refreshing it, I was not able to open the workbook. so we are investigating the issue.however as temporary workaround you can the following
1. Eenable the "Refresh workbook on open" property. this will prevent
user from saving workbook without refreshing
2. You can apply a ABAP note which disallow users to upgrade 3.x
workbooks. But the note is currently in pilot released."

Pictures in iBook are partial/missing not displaying correctly

I downloaded new iBook called "Foundation" and the pictures are incomplete/partial/missing. Tried deleting the book and re-downloading and still same problem. Some pictures are complete, some partial and some just have a question mark inside a blue box (where the picture is supposed to be i am guessing). There are also pages that have a large pink box that says ... "This page contains the following errors: error on line 1 at column 1: Ending error. Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error." I could live without the pictures but this is an exercise book and the pictures are very important! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Christopher. After I posted my original question, I did come to realize that it was Helvetica not Future PT showing. Here’s what happened, and here’s why I still need some guidance…
The document dropped Future PT because when my wifi signal dropped, the Creative Cloud app displayed this error symbol (see graphic) in my menu bar.
At that point, my computer could no longer access my TypeKit fonts and the document reverted to the system's Helvetica default.
This was not an isolated incident.
If I turn wifi off manually, there is no issue and CC continues to operate in the background as it should, with TypeKit fonts still available.
However, if the wifi drops out on its own, I get the above error symbol and I then lose access to my TypeKit fonts. Very rarely, the CC app will self-correct when the signal is restored. More often than not, I must quit the CC app and relaunch it in order to get things back to normal.
This doesn’t strike me as normal behavior Have you ever encountered anything like it? Do you know of a fix that will allow the CC app to self-correct when the wifi signal is restored?
Any assistance will be appreciated!

Missing "Init display first" on x58a-gd65

Hello. I have X58A-GD65 motherboard with core-i7 on it.
Also I have two videocards -- nvidia gtx460 and gt430. I have two monitors and need both of them to be connected to gtx460 (and gt430 is needed to be headless). Gtx460 is plugged into the second pci-express slot and gt430 is plugged into the first -- it's needed to avoid overheating.
So the problem is that I see post message and bootloader choosing screen only with a monitor connetcted to gt430 and it's unacceptable. If I have both of monitors plugged to gtx460 I see nothing until the OS is loaded (I have both linux and windows).
All of my previous motherboards were based on AMI bios too and they had an option "Init display first" in which I could set the main PCI-E port. But your motherboard for unknown reason is missing that option -- I tried V22.1, 22.2, 22.3 versions (with 22.0 I have memory issues).
What can I do to set init display at the second pci-express?

That means that it must be in that bios, because my previous botherboards with AMI bios onboard also supperted that option.

I was not very accurate (because didn't want to specify unnecessary details). It's not an overheating problem in general sense. I'm actually a CUDA developer and I use gt430 as debugging board with and I need a disabled watchdog for some reasons. And because of the same reason I need both cards to be connected to pci-e@16 because pci-e@4 appeared to be too slow for massive computations (I used that scheme before but now it's the bottleneck). Thus I need to have cards in the 0th and 1th pci-e accordingly. But gtx460 is two-slotted card and if gtx460 is in the 0th slot and gt430 is in the 1th, gt430 blocks exactly the place where the gtx460 fan is situated. So the gtx460 temp increases up to 80C under 100% load. That's not a problem but the fan of gtx460 starts spinning at 3000rpm and it's very annoying. Temperatures of other devices stay below 50C.
But if I put gtx460 in the 1th slot and gt430 in the 0th there is a plenty of space in front of gtx460 and all the temperatures stay below 45C even if both cards and the CPU are all loaded at 100% => no annoying noise and fan spins at 800rpm.
That's the point actually.

I've written them already and waiting for answer. I thought that forum could be more fast (and it appeared to be true:) . And I thought that there may be some means (turning on hidden options in bios for example) that support couldn't tell me about because of some intra-policies
