MOBILE COLLABORATION CONFIGURATION IN OCS 10.1.2

Hello
Does anybody knows what are the parameters I have to introduce in Synthesis Client Software of my PDA to run Push IMAP and SYNC ML ?
Thanks

Hi
Synthesis is SyncML only, not push imap (or they changed ?). As for configuration, see here http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/cs/user_info/omobile_collaboration/html/mobile_data_sync_get_started.html

  • Windows Mobile L2TP Configuration

I am trying to get VPN working through a Windows Mobile Cell Phone through at L2TP connection but have failed. I can see the attempts coming into our ASA firewall however the username is always blank and I have not found much information on how to configure this. Does anyone have any ideas or information on how to configure this?
    Thanks

To allow end users to connect using Windows Mobile devices, configure the Mobile Policy parameters. These parameters apply only to Windows Mobile devices. Include them only if your end users use Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile Policy enforcement is supported only on Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 5+AKU2, and Windows Mobile 6. It is not supported on Windows Mobile 6.1. Attempts to connect to a secure gateway that is configured to require a security policy that cannot be enforced will fail.

  • Mobility Connect Configuration

    Hi Friends,
I have been having issues configuring Cisco mobility connect on my CUCM 7.1.2  infrastructure.  Initially, I configured it and it worked for just one user i.e. calls to a DN rings on both deskphone and the mobile phone configured after about 4 seconds as set but all attempts to configure same for other users (phones/DN and mobile numbers) proved abortive despite having 580 unused licenses on the publisher. After all efforts to have more than one phone use mobile connect on my network, I removed the first configuration that worked earlier to start afresh and to my widest imagination, there is no instance I configured thereafter that work, not even the first one.
I followed the following steps just like I did to get it to work the very first time:
Please, are multiple user configurations not allowed for Mobile connect?
    1.) Service Activation
    2.) End User Configuration
3.) Mobility Softkey template, one configured per phone
4.)Assign template to Phone, done on all phones except for 9971 that has no softkey template feature
5.) Configure a Remote destination Profile with appropriate Route Partition, CSS etc configured
6.) Create a new Remote Destination with correct route pattern used for mobile calls
Please, are multiple user configurations not allowed for Mobile connect?
    Any limitation for CUCM 7.1(2)?
What could be wrong or what do you suggest I do
    Thanks in anticipation!

    Thanks Manish,
It still not working having done all, what else do you think, the Cisco Unified Mobile Voice Access service is started using the Control Center > Feature Services.

  • Mobile Infrastructure Configuration Steps

    Dear All,
Could you please let me know from where can I get the Mobile Infrastructure Configuration Documents for SAP MI SAP 7.0 (NetWeaver 2004s) on SQL 2005/Windows 2003.
    Thank You,
    Hemantha

    Hi Hemantha
Here is the link for post installation configuration of MI. This gives you the step by step procedure to configure MI.
The initial template configuration may fail for few, you can do those manually for which ever is failing.

After this the phones are still not registering, I'm suspecting it is the url authentication command, as i can't put the application-name and password after the command, any suggestions would be appreciated. THanks in advance.

    Try adding:
    voice register global
     url authentication http://192.168.1.254/CCMCIP/authenticate.asp secretname psswrd
if still doesn't work try to compare your config with the reference guide here:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmeadm/cmemobl.html#pgfId-1163414

  • Auto-ID 7.1 ITS Mobile UI Configuration

Whenever I try to login to the Auto-ID ITS Mobile UI (/AIN/UIMOBURL), it causes a dump stating that
Template "ain_mobile\99\include/cuaarea.html" contains syntax errors and
         therefore could not be compiled.
Cause of error:Include "include/mesgs" not available.
The syntax error is in row: 25, column: 85
        The incorrect HTMLB line is:
           "`include(~service="itsmobile", ~language="", ~theme="99",
         ~name="include/mesgs.html")`"
I am thinking we have not completed a required configuration step, but I have been unable to locate the latest config guides for Auto-ID 7.1 via Solution Manager to verify.
The only documentation I've been able to find irt the ITS Mobile config in Auto-ID 7.1 is http://help.sap.com/saphelp_aii710/helpdata/en/42/efa79253491a71e10000000a422035/content.htm, but it basically says to refer to the configuration documentation in SolMan.
If anyone can advise where I should look within SolMan, I'd be most thankful.
    Update:
I've verified that the Internet Service AIN_MOBILE is Published as a Complete Service via SE80.
I've created a service via ICF under /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/ain_mobile and configured CL_HTTP_EXT_ITS as the Handler
When I go to SE80 and test using Execute Service it loads http://<default_host>:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/ain_mobile, but it says Communication failure.  If I setup ain_mobile as an internal alias referencing /sap/scm/ain_mobile then the abap dump occurs.

Edited by: James Tucker on Oct 4, 2011 1:02 AM

I had the same problem. The reason was that within internet service ITSMOBILE the include MESGS was by default only saved, but not published internally.
    Solution:
Call SE80 with Internet Service ITSMOBILE
Navigate to "Topic 99" -> "HTML Templates" -> "INCLUDE"
    Right-Click on "MESGS" and publish
    (or publish the complete service)

  • Beehive Mobile device configuration problem from /uss

Hi all. Everything seems to be fine on my 1.4.3 install except I can't provision my mobile devices through https:<beehvice_server_address>/uss. I get the following http 500 error:
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response.
I've searched the net and the only info I found on this is something about permissions. Do I need to login as an administrator to do this?
    TIA

Sure. in the /uss page there is a mobile devices "tab" where you can provision your mobile device by sending an sms to the the device with the configurations. When I input the mobile phone number and click on send sms or the resend sms link I get the aforementioned error. If the /uss page is not meant for provisioning mobile devices as well then where can I do this?

  • Error mobile device configuration

    Hi All,
When I try and add an entry in the administer mobile devices section by selecting the user with the corresponding roles, the uploaded new mobile component/version and all devices checked. The entry does not add to the list.
Where could the problem be. Kindly advice.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Divya Rao

    Hi Divya ,
<b> i thought u were talking about adding new entries in device config , and u are not getting those entries in Device Configurations. thats why i replied like this...</b>
    just try in this way....
for additional parameters to come . u have to add some entries in your standard tables..
    MEMGMT_PARAMETER and MEMGMT_PARA_COND
u must have the right to do this in the MI server...
for example .. if u want to add the parameter for resetting the password.. then try in this way
       first
    in this table MEMGMT_PARAMETER
    add and save
    PARAMETER ID     -- ZRESPASS
    AGENT ID         -- MI_CONFIG
      second step
    add and save  in MEMGMT_PARA_COND
    PARAMETER ID       -- ZRESPASS
    PARAMETER VALUE    -- MobileEngine.Security.ResetLocalLogonPassword
    SET PARAMETER      -- X
    GET PARAMETER
    TEXT               -- reset password

  • Load Balance Configuration for OCS 10g

    Hi guys,
A few question on the load balancer requirement and setup for a OCS 10g cluster.
    1. Can Pound be used as the load balancer for the OCS cluster. (pound is an application for load balancer and reverse proxy).
    2. Basically the load balancer will have two network interface, the first nic is connected to the
user network, and the second interface is connected at the backend network where the ocs cluster is located. My question is at which network interface the virtual server name (ldap, sso and http ) for the ocs cluster should be created ? at the user network interface or the ocs network interface ?. Do the virtual name need an ip addresses ?
    Thanks for any info.

  • Firewall and HA configurations for OCS?

1st, anyone had issues setting up OCS middle tiers in DMZ? Installer doesn't seem to like having IP addresses translated to internal IP addresses for connecting backend. Install works as long as all servers are on the same subnet.
2nd, anyone figured out how to avoid single-points of failure for middle tiers? Since it doesn't appear you can cluster middle tier servers, will email run on 2 middle tiers o.k.? Files, even if only 1 domain controller? Apparently you can now fail that over to another machine. What about calendar, which doesn't seem to touch the db at all?
Been over and OVER docs with OTN or MetaLink. Due at least have infrastructure failover and storage RAC working.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Hi Jim,
We're working on a clustered HA Webcenter environment. MDS and the preference store should be shared amongst all WebCenter nodes of the cluster. MDS can be on a fileshare, the preference store in a database or also on a shared filesystem.

  • Configuring SSL for Real-Time Collaboration

    Hi,
We installed OCS10gR1 because we want to use Real-Time collaboration for delivering support. At this moment we are trying to configure SSL. We already worked through the following guides :

    - OCS admin guide
    - OCS Security guide
    - OPMN admin guide

    Hi,
I ran the SSLconfigTool.sh script on the Infrastructure with success but the midtierSSLConfigTool.sh script didn't come to an end. Probably, I ran the script with the wrong options. I used the following options :

    <oid port> 389 (default)
<oid admin dn> I filled in orcladmin, but maybe dn=woerden,dn=centric would be better ???

  • Anchor mobility configuration getting lost in wlc 5508 ios code 7.4.100.0

It is observed that in WLC 5508 , ios 7.4.100.0 ,  mobility anchor configuration on wlan  is getting lost .  we configure anchor ip address on  guest wlan > mobility anchor >  Switch IP Address (Anchor).
We have configured the template on NCS 2.0 to push the anchor mobility ip address on all WLC
Has anyone oberved this behavoiur. We have more than 100 WLC  , and  everyweek  mobility anchor configuration is lost on some WLC having code  7.4.100.0.

I am having this exact same problem.  I am running 7.3 on 5508 WLC.   My remote site LAP's are using Flex (HREAP).  The initial access point that my laptop associates to connects with no problem, as soon as I wander out of range of the initial LAP and into the area of another access point, I lose data connectivity.   The was validated like the original post as I start a constant ping on the LAN and watch as the ping latency increases and then ping replies stop.  The only way to correct the problem is resetting of the wireless adapter on the laptop.  Side note my DroidX has no problem wandering from AP to AP.
    Laptop: Windows 7 32bit
I then returned to my home site and test where I have a secondary controller and the LAP's are configured for local mode, no problems roaming from access point to access point.   Validated with constant ping test.  The pings drop for a second and re-
    continues as the laptop reconnects.
**Edit: I am going to try the removing the DHCP Addr. Assignment required option, and report that back to the TAC engineer.

"[Wed Apr 28 18:14:46 2004] [warn] Loaded DSO D:\oracle\oralite\mobile\server\bin\wtgapach.DLL uses plain Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it with -DEAPI)".
The Apache server is working and through browser I am able to access the default page. But as mentioned in the Mobile Server configuration section the Mobile server is not started or at least I do not know how to access the Mobile server through browser.
Please let me know if the cause of the warning message has any effect on the Mobile Server instantiation and if not how can I access the Mobile Server?
    Thanks,
    Sachin.

    Hi,
I am trying to install the Oracle Lite suit versioned 5.0.2 for Windows. The RDBMS is Oralce 9i (9.2.0.1). I am able to install the Mobile server. Refering the Installation mannual I am trying to configure and run the mobile serve in either standalone mode or with Oracle HTTP server. In the installation mannual it is mentioned that the HTTPD.conf file for apache http server should be modified to include the wtgapach.conf file from the Oralce Lite ORACLE_HOME\mobile\server\bin folder. On making this change and starting the apache server I am getting the error listed in the post. In the mannual it is mentioned that for standalone mode run the webtogo executable from the bin folder. On doing so I am getting a message
    "D:\oracle\oralite\Mobile\Server\bin>webtogo
    Unrecognized option: -Xrs"
So currently I am stuck and do not know how to start the mobile server. Please let me know the appropriate steps to start the Mobile server in stadalone as well as with Oracle HTTP server.
Also as mentioned by you I replaced the wtgapach.conf with wtgias.conf. The warning message which was displaying earlier on start of Apache is now gone but if tried to start the mobile server from the browser it is not working as expected.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sachin.
