Monitor erroneous messages

Hi all,
I have implemented scenario HTML -> XI -> RFC -> ERP. Sceneario in this direction is ASYNCHRONOUS. I have found out, that I have there some issues. From time-to-time ERP system is not accessible (database validation or verification is in progress). BUT, when message comes in the critical time (when SAP ERP is down), SAP XI processes the message and sets flag PROCESSED SUCCESSFULLY!!! The fact is, that in SAP ERP there is no incomming message so the message couldn't be processed successfully!!! I expected, that in this case XI marks the messages as "erroneous". I expect that this behavior has something to do with asynchronous scenario ... Am I right? Have you got any ideas how to configure my scenario to be able to catch this erroneous statuses?

In Moni it will show successfully deliverd, but if you check in RWB under message monitoring your meesages will be either in system error or in Holding state which you can reprocess when receiving system (R/3) is up and running.

Itunes 7 and Multi Disk Backup Erroneous Message

iTunes 7 Backup feature gives a completely erroneous message when it completes the 1st of multiple (DVD) disks (tried and it did this twice). Message says backup failed but provides options to "retry", "cancel" or "next". First time I just cancelled. The second time it gave me this Microsoft Windows type message I just put in the 2nd disk (DVD) and it finished copying the next gig of data and finished the DVD and said backup complete. One wonders who was writing, reading or translating the message that should probably have said "insert next disk to continue backup". Has anyone else experienced this message?

Make that six. I am now receiving the exact same error message. My message makes iTunes completely inoperable and there is no way for me to get around it. Yes, I too have external drives attached to my computer. Anyone have advice on how to deal with this exception errort? I hope Apple has fix for us soon.

Monitoring SOAP Message Payload

Hi,
Can we monitor the message payload after the message is processed by the adapter? If so, where?
I am doing a HTTP to SOAP scenario. I would want to check if the outgoing payload (after my receiver SOAP adapter finishes processing) is correct. Where can I see this information?

add this to
messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody = false
in Messaging System in visual admin
then you will see the payload

Monitor archive messages

HI Guys,
Still not clear to me how/where should I monitor archived messages in PI 7.1.
TO be honest is the first time I am facing such topic.
It looks like the archive is based on archiving/date ad message id.
Any way to monitor archive interface by namespace or interface name?
Archiving procedure has been defined,but interfaces to be archived have been just defined thereofore I guess
the only archived messages will be the ones from today + retention period.
Can anyone confirm it?

Monitoring SOAP messages with JWSDP?

Is it possible to monitor SOAP messages generated from the JWSDP during the connection between a client and the Web Service?

A useful standalone tool is TcpTrace (http://www.pocketsoap.com/tcptrace/)
This is a windows program and I have found it very useful.
The easiest way I have found to use it with JWSDP is to modify the tomcat port in JWSDP_HOME\conf\server.xml, and then configure TcpTrace to listen on the original tomcat port value, and forward to the new one.
But if you do this, TcpTrace must be running whenever you attempt to install or modify anything which requires contacting the tomcat server.

How/ Where to Monitor XML Messages of Provider Webservice ?

Dear SDNers,
I would like to Monitor XML Messages for Provider Webservice.
I would like to tell upfront that SXM_MONI or SXI_MONITOR in ABAP Stack does not show any Messages.
I have used SOAMANAGER which is the normal Transaction related to doing all things with Webservices. Even here i have found anything Messages.
I could only see Success Messages under Webservice Logs(Webservice Logging and Tracing).
Would like to know how/ where to do i monitor XML Messages for a Provider Webservice ?
The Search around several places could not yield much to me about this Mointoring of Webservices.
A lot of documents talk about Service Provision/ Consumption, Registry, WS-RM etc. but nowhere i could encounter about Monitoring of Webservices.
So the normal links to Webservices documents where documents/ links describe about Service Provision/ Consumption, Registry, WS-RM, Protocols, Security, Transports etc. will not be of much HELP to me here.

Hi Nick,
There is no big difference between synchronous interface monitoring and asynchronous interface monitoring.
Just goto SXMB_MONI, click on inbound message, it will automatically displaying one tab with name response message. Click on that response message to view the message content.
In PI7.1 you can see response message and reqquest message in RWB. Open the message by click on that, it will automatically dispay request and response messages

Monitoring XI Messages

Hi all,
strange things happen in our XI scenario.
I have implemented the demo scenario "checkflightavailability" on one host with different clients. The communication channel I use for this is XI. So far no problem, the results of the request are correct, this is displayed via BSP pages.
But when I want to monitor the messages with the transaction SXMB_MONI, I only find some of the messages of the converstations. The same is true for my abap program that sends some messages to another proxy, I only find the first execution but the others are missing.
What can I do? Probably I misunderstood the concept of the sxmb_moni, does it only select certain messages?

it seems that I have solved the problem myself.
The trick is to enable global logging in the integration engine. Some hints are given in the sap help, if you search for "Logging and Tracing"

Sorry by my English. I am a spanish user.
I buy a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 Agp8x.
I installed "MSI VGA Monitor Warning Message" but it give me this error message:
Fan speed is unusual
Now fan speed is : 1670 Rpm
Memory voltage is unusual
Now memory voltage is : 3.34 Volt 8b
I have a mb "Asus tuv4x (bios 1.005beta)" with a PentiumIII 1000. I have not installed the msi drivers. I have installed the 43.45 reference nvidia drives.
¿What is that error? ¿the vga or the mb is bad?.

Yes. I loaded 4.47 Via 4in1.
I am running "MSI 3D turbo experience". When I run this sift it open a internet explorer window with a error for a file ".ocx" and after it give the error message about speed fan et voltage.
I read some post that say that this soft dont work well in xp. I have xp.
Now I installed the last version of "3D turbe experience" from web of msi (2,13) and y have lowed the security for the "active x" in the security tab of tools of internet explorer.
Now I have not the error message and the "3D turbo experience" internet explorer page load but it dont give the the speed fan.

Alert monitor for messages in error status

Hi, it is possible to configure de Xi Alert Monitor to show in the message body the error that shows the message monitoring?
In the SOAP header when there is an error y can see a tag "error" and it shows this info (for example):

Hi,
you will not be able to get the entire msg payload of SXMB_MONI in alert.
But you can create a alert category and in its Long text you can have variables for Error Category and Error Text. So you will get alert mails with Error category and Error Text.

Message Monitor Missing Messages in Adapter Engine

All,
I had over 200 messages in my adapter engine but recently I only see 115 for the same period.
Additionally, all of the 850 (PO) inbound messages are gone.   I see them in the Integration Engine but not in the Adapter Engine anymore.
I need to repeat processing for a particular 850 message and so I am wondering:
(1)   Any suggestions on why these messages are missing ?
(2)   Is this a retention period issue ? If so, how do I control the period ?
(3)   How can I retrieve these messages ?
(4)   Is there another place where I can re-process the 850 messages I need.   Where and how ?

It may be caused coz of some adapter failure which you are using for that particular scenario. Also for rention period you can check it in the particular communication channel, but i don't think it will be the issue. try finding it in moni, if it is not there go to RWB and then find it for you particular interface. If it is not there try to find the status.

In RWB -> message monitoring you will find all the message, Try searching it for your interface and the you can select all messages and you can reprocess it.
For error message , in RWB go to particular adapter, and check if it is running or not. It must be in running status. so check and let us know about it.

Receiver determination / Monitoring the messages.

Hi.
I'm trying to set up simplest File to File scenario.
Sending channel generates messages and I can see them through Integration monitoring workbench. But I do not see the messages from SXMB_MONI.
Is it supposed to be this way ?
My problem is that even I specified receiver determination the messages hang there with status "Waiting" and empty field "Reciever".
Test tools fails at receiver determination even I have enabled the service in SICF transaction.
Do I miss something very obvious here ?

If the message is successfully transferred using pipeline URL then u should see ur messge in sxmb_moni.
else check if ur pipepline URL si properluy mentioned or not... it should be,..

Trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring - Detail Message - Tab "Audit log"

My flow is: File -> PI -> Transformed File with seeburger module. Everything is good except the trace level in RWB.
Exactly, in our PI production, under RWB -> Message Monitoring, when I select a message (e.g PI -> Outside) and see its Detail, under tab "Audit Log", I have a log with only 2 pages (which corresponds to the sender part "File -> PI")... whereas in our PI pre-production, I have 4 pages for the exact same flow, on which I have also info of the receiver part "PI -> Outside"...
My question is just: do you know which parameter is involved in this trace level of RWB's Message Monitoring Detail log ?

coz I did a quick look in prod and pre-prod, but it seems the severity is the same (e.g "Info" for most of them) whereas the trace level of "Audit log" is different.
