Monitoring ESB service through OWSM

I have an ESB process that picks a file and writes to a desitination with some transformation in it.
I wanted to know how OWSM can be used to monitor this ESB process.
I have created a gateway and registered the web service in the gateway. But not able to monitor the process in OWSM console. Only when I use the virtualized service and test in OWSM, im able to see the execution in the statistics tab.
I would like to know how to make the process flow through OWSM.

Try re-configuring the AccessServerSDK AccessGate using the configureAccessGate command in the tools directory. It may be possible that the key pairing is corrupted.

Hi Experts,
Is there a way to monitor a linux service like samba/nfs/cups through grid control 10g. I mean if it could monitor status of these services and send a down alert if they re not running. I have large farm of linux servers being monitored by grid and most of them run these services so i was looking towards monitoring them through grid.
Let me know any ideas to accomplish this.

Error trying to secure Web Service through OWSM and OAM

Hi all.
We are trying to secure a web service using Oracle Web Service Manager and Oracle Access Manager. We have deployed it into two HTTP Servers. The intended business flow should be:
1. The WSC make a SOAP request signed with a X.509 v1 client certificate.
2. The OWSM Gateway intercepts this request and apply the defined policy:
a. Verify Signature.
b. Extract of credentials
c. OAM Authenticate Authorize.
3. Then OAM apply the defined rule:
a. Credential validation and extraction of security tokens
b. Authentication against OID security attributes
We have protected with OAM the end-point web service URL for authentication and authorization. But we are getting an error when we invoke this web service:
/The Web Service call failed. The service returned a SOAP fault with the
message: Authentication Fault: Invalid User Session Token/
It seems that OWSM Gateway are processing policies defined well, but th error became accesing to OAM authentication and authorize. We have tried to enable OAM debug system, but if we configure it, OAM are unable to start. So we are not able to obtain a more detailed error.

Monitoring ESB

Hi BPEL Gurus,
We have a requirement : We need to monitor ESB in our project , its like we would make one of the field's(Account_id for example) trackable and then would like to know which BPEL instance id is its(ESB's) requestor & which particular BPEL Instance it (ESB) calling.
What I have done :
1) The trackable field part I guess can be done by using the trackable field functionality given in ESB Dev guide : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b28211/esb_console.htm#CIAEDGHE
But the problem is that they havent explained it vividly and I can find no examples at all in internet or forum abt the trackable field functionality of ESB.
2) The second part i.e figuring out which BPEL Instance id is calling ESB & which BPEL Instance id is called by ESB still has to be done.
Would really appreciate if I pointers......

If you wanna track the data in esb u can do it like this:
Log onto the esb console.
U ll find the list of services registered on the left.
Click on the services and then clik trackable fileds ...Select the variable through XPath
Run th Process
Click on the latest instance...Then click on the component
Here u can select the data u wanna monitor...U can see the instance id and the values ...

Shoudl I use ESB services for every database interaction

I have an orchestrated business process that interacts with an internal database multiple times. Shoudl I use an ESB between the BPEL process and the database or is it better to use ESB's only for volatile or external services.
The database is unlikely to change and most of the calls are going to be static with little or no change therefore I cannot decide whether or not to use ESB's for these calls or not. does anyone have any opinions?

BPEL Orchestration provides the ability to update a number of employee details through a set process. The services called from the BPEL process are non-agnostic services that are specific to this process only. This means they are not going to be reused within the business and therefore I cannot decided whether I can justify the use of ESB services within this process.
I disagree with the comment that ESB services shoudl be used for all services, because if this was the case why have database adaptors available as BPEL partner links?

How to monitor Radius services on ACS 5.4

I want to monitor Radius services of ACS 5.4, In case of failure any radius service on ACS.
ACS should send alert to Syslogs or email notification
Is there any way to monitor Radius services ? Anyone have any idea how to monitor.

I dont think so there is any particular way you can do that, Because ACS 5.x doesnt have any particluar Radius service.
The services which are available and can be viewed through CLI and GUI are following:

Monitoring JBI services in JavaCAPS6

In 513 there was a java API for monitoring through emanager.
Is there something similar in JavaCAPS6 for monitoring JBI services and components?

The graphical view of a business proces instance as it was available with emanager is not there for BPEL 2.0, it applies for Classic JavaCAPS only.

The process deployed is an ESB service .However on execution of the above code I get the following message as the response from the server. Also there is no new instance of the ESB services created (to show that the service was triggered)

Calling a web service through SSL via a stand alone java class

I am trying to call a web service through SSL via a simple stand alone java client.
I have imported the SSL certificate in my keystore by using the keytool -import command.
Basically I want to add a user to a group on the server. Say I add a user user 1 to group group 1 using an admin userid and password. All these values are set in an xml file which I send to the server while calling the server. I pass the web service URL, the soap action name and the xml to post as the command line arguments to the java client.

Run time error while testing a service through transaction SICF/SOAMANAGER

Hi all,
We created a service for publishing the function module in web services through WSDL. When we try to test the service using SICF transaction / SOAMANAGER transaction, we get a run time error.
We are not sure whether any other settings or steps required for testing the web services..
Could you please let us know which steps/configurations we are missing?
Details of the run time error.
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?
URL http://in.ap1.sy.com:8000/wsnavigator call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note
The termination occurred in system ECC with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?

Please ask you Basis admin to perform the following.
1) Check wether the Java Stack ( Portal, BI system etc) is avaliable in your landscape.
2) Execute tcode SOAMANAGER in ECC system. This will take you to a new browser where you have to login with your SAP username and password. Under SOA MANAGEMENT you can see Technical Configuration tab>click on System Global Settings>and select Access Information J2EE server. Here provide the hostname and the port number. Save the entries.
3)Execute tcode SMICM>Goto>Services. Here you can check for the HTTP Service Name/Port number
4) Activate the required services from tcode SICF
