MovieClip Not Recognizing Properties Set in Constructor FP 11.8.800.115 (Chrome)

Hi,
In making a subclass from MovieClip in Flash ActionScript 2.0, I set the _alpha and _visible values to 0 and false respectively. I do this so that I can make sure all instances within the MovieClip render before I animate them with ActionScript. So, after 1 frame has rendered I set the _alpha and _visible back to 100 and true respectively, and then proceed to animate them.
I'm finding that in Google Chrome (Flash Player 11.8.800.115) the values I set in the construtor are being ignored! This does not happen in any other browser including Mozilla FireFox (Flash Player 11.8.800.94).
This needs an urgent fix!

File downloads not working in Pepper-Flash beta 11.8.800.115 (chrome)

Pepper-Flash Beta version 11.8.800.115 was auto-installed in latest Chrome update (29.0.1547.57 m). This flash version does not display save/open dialog when clicking on a link that opens a file via flash.net.navigateToURL(request, "_self"). Request is an http get that calls a servlet that responds with a binary stream.

The follow are two separate workarounds that we used. We initially used the first workaround below until figuring out #2.
(1) Use the download function on a flash.net.FileReference object. The flow is not as nice, but works as long as the download occurs as part of a user initiated event, such as a button click. We added a switch so that this workaround was only used if the browser was Chrome, so that IE and Firefox kept the same flow.
(2) Embed a hidden frame in your html and make an ExternalInterface call similar to the following to target the download to it. We also have an exit page prompt, but targeting a hidden frame does not affect it:

One note, we always use application/octet-stream as the mime type for downloads to avoid the possibility of the file actually rendering in the hidden frame. After implementing #2 above, file downloads in Chrome now flow exactly the same as before the pepper flash issue surfaced.

HttpsURLConnection is not recognizing the ssl.proxyHost properties

Hello All,
We have a requirement to do https post outside our network. I'm trying to tunnel through a proxy by setting system properties.
System.setProperty("ssl.proxyHost",myProxy );
System.setProperty("ssl.proxyPort",80 );
but some how weblogic.net.http.HttpsURLConnect is not recognizing the above settings and trying to post data directly.
we are currently on weblogic 8.1 sp1. Could some one please help me on this.

I also has this kind of problem setting a proxy :
1/- Try setting the properties in your start up script :
JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dssl.proxyHost=proxy -D....
2/- Try an upgrade to WLS8.1 SP3

I changed internet providers and email accounts. I have managed to set up a new Apple ID but my I-phone is not recognizing it.

Fcpx: the video properties of this clip are not recognized.

The original footage is 300fps hi-speed video, shot with Casio Exilim EX-F1. Resolution 512x384, framerate 29.97
When I imported the footage into FCPX, I marked "Transcoding: Create optimized media". So I did.
Now I start a new project, drag the clip into the timeline and I get the message "The video properties of this clip are not recognized." andI can choose to import the clip as 640x480. But I don't want that, and why have I just transcoded into pro-res if FCPX itself cannot recognize the clip afterwards? What am I missing here?
For the record: I also bought Compressor4 and Motion5 so if they are needed for my solution, no problem. I tried importing the clip first into Compressor4 but couln't find a way to export into a FCPX-project.
Short note about myself: long time Premiere user, recently switched to Apple + FCPX.

I can't show you screenshots because I don't have access to FCP at the moment. Take the first clip you want to be in the project. Open it into the timeline using the Open in Timeline function. You can now blade this clip however you like. Cut the beginning, cut the end. Slice it however you want it. The audio will be separate from the video. You can collape it into a compound clip if you want. This only happens with the first clip. Leave the timeline open. In the event event browser, find the second shot you want. Mark In and Out points. Press the E key to append it to timeline. You want to insert a a different shot in the beginning. Move the playhead in the timeline back to the beginning. Find the shot you want in the browser. Mark in and out points. Press the W key to insert the shot. You want to add transitions. Select the clips in the timeline and press Cmd-T. You want to add a timeline. Put the playhead in the timeline wherever you want. Double click the title to put it into the timeline. Add more shots into the timeline. Do you see what's happening? You are editing your program into that first clip's timeline. The dimensions of that first clip remain intact in that timeline. When you export you're exporting that clip's timeline. As I said, it's not ideal, but it's a workaround. Basically FCP only works with standard video formats.

Pass Code just entered in set-up iPad not recognizing.

Tried to install iOS 8, needed pass code. Having never entered one before, I just entered one for the first time under set-up. However, iPad is not recognizing the pass code I just set it up with!
Powered off iPad and restarted, but still not recognizing pass code I just set it up with.

Clip properties not recognized

Made the leap to FCP-X. Getting "The video Properties of this clip are not recognized." on clips never edited or touched by FC Express. They are Quicktime MOV clips. It was to change settings to NTSC SD 720X480 29.97p. All of which confuses me. Any Suggestions?

After being pulled from a Sony DCR-SR220 HDD the files were converted to .mov via MPEG Streamclip.
QT won't open the file now "The document “kids christmas eve.mov” could not be opened. A required codec isn't available."
That may be the problem, despite other earlier conversions by Streamclip working and accepted by FC X.

Extractor (Delta) not recognizing a change when field is set back to blank

Good Day Experts,
Any pointers on the issue below will be appreciated:
I have a Delta extractor which picks up the value from a field in ECC when the field is changed. When I initially assign date value, extractor picks up the change and everything works.
However, when I change the field in ECC back to blank, the extractor is not recognizing this as a change and hence it does not bring the new value into BI... so my master data in BI still the "old" value, even though the value has actually changed.
Please let me know if you would like me to clarify...

Here you have mentioned that Delta extractor which picks up the value from a field in ECC when the field is changed...........is it a date field ? or time stamp.....
Unfortunately I can't check this datasource in my system.....
But when delta is coming based on this field..........if this field is blank then obviously delta will not get captured.........why this field in ECC is not getting updated ?

The private constructor that is used to set the values of the enum is not necessary according to JDev (Message: Constructor not used) which is wrong.

Illegal modifier for the enum VideoFormat; only public is permittedis what Eclipse here tells me. Removing static fixed this problem.
Have you modified the compiler options (Project -> Properties -> Java Compiler -> Compiler compliance level) to be 1.4 or under? You need 1.5 (5.0) or 1.6 (6.0) for enum declarations to be correct.
Just to test, I changed the compiler compliance level to 1.4 and it threw 2 errors which are similar to what you have:
Syntax error on token "enum", interface expected
Syntax error on token ",", delete this tokens
