Mozilla Crash Reporter window continually pops up and won't let me reload firefox

Firefox crashed. I took it off the computer and tried to reload. The window keeps popping up that says e're sorry firefox had a problem and crashed well try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts to help us diagnonse and fix problem send us a rassh report. then at the bottom it has two buttons one to restart and one to quit. when I click restart the window pops back up. if i try to reload through internet explorer, the same window pops up again!
The Parent control bar was added to internet explorer with no problem and is still there.

Try to delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

How do I get past the Mozilla Crash Reporter window?

I cannot get Firefox to work. Every time I open it a Mozilla Crash Reporter window opens up with the options to Restart or Quit Firefox. Neither of these work.
I have the five most recent ID report numbers as suggested in previous posts. Please advise where to go from here.

Also note that the crash reports state you are using Firefox 11, please update that, as this crash may have been fixed in the past year.

HT4796 When I run migration assistant on my PC, I get a message saying windows mail is running and won't let me proceed. Windows Mail is not running. I checked Task Manager's applications, services and processes and found no references to Window's Mail.

Got a new iMac 27" for Christmas (well a little after) and tried using Migration Assistant to transfer some files. I can't get past a window on the PC that pops up indicating Quit Other Programs Before you can transfer your information, the following programs must be shutdown: Windows Mail Close these programs and run Migration Assistant again. If these programs do not appear to be running, restart your computer and try again.
I've rebooted. I've searched Task Manager - Applications, Processes and Services and there are no references to WMail. I don't or haven't knowingly used Windows Mail and Outlook isn't even installed on my PC. Does anybody know how to get around this without using external drives, USB flashdrives, etc.

Lots of fun.... The superdrive in my Macbook seems to have gone off kilter since my install. Now the CD-R won't work regardless of which operating system I use. Normal CD's and DVD's are fine, but any CD-R is taken as a blank disk.

You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:

Do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.<br />
Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.

After I close Firefox 4.0 and try to open it later, it says that another instance of firefox is already open and won't let me open firefox. I have to restart computer..

After it closes I work on another program, etc. When I try to go online again firefox says it's still open even though I can see nothing. Going to Task Manager doesn't show anything open.

Installer is stuck and won't let me restart my computer!

So I was installing a program, the installer was tuck on running package scripts. I force quit the applicaion's installer but then when I tried to install another application it wouldn't let me. I'm trying to restart my mac but an installation in progress window keeps showing up and won't let me restart.

My Firefox crashed. I got Mozilla Crash Reporter. It refused to reopen no matter how often I tried or re-booted. It continued to try to restore Tabs. So I used MS Control Panel Add/Delete Programs. I deleted it and then used Chrome to download a new version. But it continues to try to reopen tabs. I love Firefox in spite of it's repeated crashing .... often when I am saving pictures to my hard drive. I love the add-ons and extensions. How do I get around it's effort to restore Tabs? Sometimes the Firefox window gets "off screen" somehow. You often can force it to appear on the screen by right-clicking the little thumbnail image above the Taskbar and choosing Maximize. Does that work?

I just downloaded Firefox 4 and I run Windows 7 Ultimate and it crashes before it loads up I double click the link and it brings up the "Mozilla Crash Reporter" everytime I try to start it.

Basically I downloaded Firefox 4 when it was a beta and now after it's been released and everytime I double click the shortcut or the direct link in the start menu and it shows my mouse with the loading icon and then it pops up the "Mozilla Crash Reporter" and I've submitted multiple reports and got nothing back and I now can't revert back to pre-4.0 Firefox to even just use it while the problem is rectified.

Your best bet would be to uninstall the BETA and install the actual release, instructions as follows.
* Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop. If necessary, download the file with IE8 or 9, but choose to save it to your desktop when you see the prompt.

Firefox crashed and now will not start. Cannot create new profile or start in safe mode because Mozilla Crash Reporter appears and will not restart.

Browing the web, Firefox crashed. Typical "this is embarrassing" window appeared and I could choose to restore or start new session. I tried to restore, and nothing happened. Maybe you did't understand my previous statement. There are no crashes in FF 3.6, There is no previous evidence FF 14 was ever here, I completely uninstalled all trace of Firefox, no app data, no preferences, no cache. I will upgrade to FF14 so I can send IDs,
