MRP Areas and Delivery schedules

We have managed to succesfully configure MRP areas, however we still have problems of transferring the MRP results to Scheduling Agreement. We can only set source list at plant level. Now same plant has different MRP areas. Please help.

Hi TAJUDDIN,
Let me rephrase my quiry. We have a customer that sends requirements to us, which we then send through to MRP, which gives us the nett requirements, which are then sent to the supplier.
We have been running this at plant level with no problem as the supplier was seeing all the requirements (from our customers/ subsidaries) consolidated. But now this requirements must be passed to the supplier per individual customer or subsidaries. For implementing this we created a new plant with storage Locations representing each subsidary, each subsidary has to be planned separately and handed to the supplier as individual requirements.
Hence we looked at MRP areas for this, the other option was to create each subsidary as a SAP plant but this is not neat. Our problem is that we are able to plan with MRP areas but we are unable to pass the MRP results to the agreement that we have with the supplier.
JUst though to give more infor of the full scenario might help, but in short you've been very helpful. I've learnt quite a lot.
I hope you'll still be patient with me while I try and understand as well as address the current issue we have.
Thanks.

  • MRP Area and SA Schedule Lines

    Hello All,
We are looking at using MRP Areas and noticed it can not be turned off once on (ECC 5.0).  Given that, is the following true with reference to schedule agreements:
    - Will seperate schedule lines be created for each MRP Area (same material)?
    - Does the receiving storage location come from the material master or the MRP Area (Does it matter if it is a type 01 or type 02 MRP Area)?
    - Is it possible to define differen't receiving slocs in a schedule line for a Plant MRP Area?
    Thank you,
    Jerry

    Thank you Charlie,
The link is helpful however it doesn't come straight out and answer the questions - meaning there is a bit of ambiguity there.
It would be appreciated if you or anybody that is using MRP areas with schedule agreements is doing the above.

  • Global outline agreement and Delivery schedule

    Hi experts.
I am in SRM 5.5, ECC 5.0 as backend in ECS.
I would like to have some information about relation between Global outline agreement and Delivery schedule of ECC.
Can I create GOAs and replicate to ECC as Delivery schedule for automatic generation of schedule lines?
The schedule lines generated afted MRP run goes to SRM or only goes to SUS if required?
    Thanks
    Nilson

    Hi Nilson,
The data contained within the global outline agreement is distributed as purchasing contracts or scheduling agreements to the backend systems of the release-authorized purchasing organizations of the relevant corporate group. These purchasing organizations can then use the purchasing contracts or scheduling agreements according to the terms agreed centrally within the global outline agreement.

  • Difference between Scheduling lines and Delivery schedule

    Hi SD Experts
can u say me the clear difference between Scheduling lines and Delivery schedule.
where we will maintain deliver schedule. whether delivery schedule is automatically created along scheduling agreements..
    with regards
    James

    Hi James,
Schedule Lines: Has basically information realted to delivery scheduling in Sales Order level.
Delivery Scheduling: Is a process using which system will determine what are the different activities which need to be performed and time taken for each activitiy only after which the material can be delivered to the customer.
Delievry scheduling will be started only from the material availability date i.e., system will first determine the material avail date and then do scheduling. By default Standard SAP system does Backward Scheduling in case material availability falls beyond the required delivery date system will do forward schedluing
Delivery Scheduling consists of the following Basic activities:
We give deatils while creating order:
    Order Creation Date
    Required Delivery Date
Order date - Material availability date - Transportation Planning Date - Loading date - Goods Issue Date - Required Delivery Date
Time Between GI Date and required Delivery Date is called Transit Time
Time Between LoadingDate and GI Date is called Loading time
Time Between Material Availability Date and Loading Date consists of 2 components - Pick / PackTime and Transportation Planning Time
System has to calculate all this before it determines the confirmed delivery date.
Give your mail Id I have some Presentation I will send you across.
    REWARD POINTS IF IT HELPS

  • BAPI for updating Maintain Duration in Transportation and Delivery scheduling

    Hi all,
Iam looking for a BAPI to update the Duration Times in Transportation and Delivery scheduling. I reluctant to use recording on SM30 Table maintenance T code and use it in LSMW. Is there a BAPI or Standard i/p Program to load these details. I have more than 200000 records to input.
A list of all BAPI's in Transportation Management module would be great as well.
    Regards,
    Avi

    Hi,
@praveen: I tried the solution provided by you and it worked for me in this context. But it seems this BADI gets triggered every time the delivery is getting saved. So for my test purposes, I'm triggering this BADI in a program, but in actual scenario, the BADI would be called on every sy-ucomm = 'SICH_T' i.e. SAVE. hence, I can't separate my piece of code using this condition.
I'm trying to call my FM(update module in collective run mode) inside this BADI in backgrnd task as a separate unit but this doesn't seem to work.
    Any more suggestions?
    Thanks

  • FG in MRP AREA and ROH comoonents are in different MRP AREA

    Dear consultantas,
please i need to check this scenario with you if applicable or not:
i have ine plant 0001 and i created 2 MRP Areas 0001 (plant MRP Area) and 0002 (storage location MRP Area)
my finished product is planned in MRP Area 0001 and its components (in BOM) are planned in 0001 MRP Area.
do you think this scenario is applicable.

    Hi
You can map this business process very well in the standard SAP .Only thing is you have to make sure that both the MRP area are activated for MRP  and Planning file entry to be done foe those FG and componenet which are in different MRP area .You can include them in SCOPE of Planning in the configuration and run MRP in MD01.Or u can run MRP in two different MRP area as per your requirement .
Hope this will help you .

  • MRP Areas and MRP

Hi I've created MRP areas, and expect to run MRP by MRP area, however, when I click on the drop down list beside the field MRP area in MD01 I do not get a list to select an individual MRP area.  Is this right?
    Thanks

    Hi,
we can use Total planning(MD01) for a single plant or use scope of planning to control whether total planning is to be carried out for single plant/sevaral plant/ for one MRP Area/sevaral MRP areas/ combination of plant and MRP Areas.
    Steps :
1.Group together the plants which are to be planned in spro in --->Define scope of planning.(OM0E)
    2. Define the scope of planning as 999 for ex and give description.
    2. Now select that and Specify the sequence in which Plants and MRP Areas are to be planned,
3.Goto new entries and enter the plant as 1000/MRP Area as 1000 with counter 1 and plant as 1100 with counter 2 and save.
4.Execute the total planning either as online job or as background job.
5.The planning run has to be always started with paralle processing.
In SPRO in define parallel processing in MRP enter the destination for parallel processing for ex your server name and enter the no .of sessions as 1 and save.
6.Tcode MD01 enter the scope of planning group and selet the parallel processing and enter. Hope the above points taken care and resolve the issue. Thanking you.

  • Replenishment delivery for material with MRP areas and Avl Check

HI We have MRP area at storage location level maintained for materials. Stock exists in the plant in the storage location which is part of the MRP area.
Now when I create STO and try to create delivery for the same, system is giving message 0 stock available and not creating delivery. Material has 02 Avl Chck group. If I deactivate the MRP area in the material master, it allows creation of delivery.
How can I ensure that system creates delivery even though stocks exist in MRP area relevant sloc only in the plant?
    Sriram

    1) According to SAP when inbound deliveries are used and your delivery item category is set up for mvt type 101, these should be received with transaction VL32N. If you use MIGO/MB0A instead the GR status in the delivery will not be updated. If you then report on open deliveries you'll notice that nothing is received in the course of time. Amazing. Now if you set up the delivery item category without the movement type your inbound will not even be GR relevant. Just one of these things that's nice to be aware of.
    Check note 199703.
    may b it helps...

  • MRP creating multiple delivery schedule lines in PR

    Hi,
We have activated MRP (type PD) where Purchase requiesition is auto created by system for requirement quantity. We require to optimize delivery schedule in such a way that entire PR quantity is broken into various delivery schedule based on planned delivery time and requirement.  Scenario can be further explained with following example.
Material Requirement for a month is say 1,25,000 units
    Closing Stock say 25,000 units
PR Generated by system for 1,00,000 units. The entire quantity is schdulled with only one delivery schedule line as per planned delivery time.
The requirement is to generate multiple delivery schedule lines automatically in Purchase requisition based on planned delivery time so that Purchase orders can be placed with system generated delivery schedule lines.
How can it be achieved ?
    Regards,
    Nirav Kinkhabwala

    Dear
Are you dealing with Single vendor  where you want Multiple Schedule Line item through single PR  which should be generated through MRP run ??
What you will have to do is to set up the Outline Agreement or Info Record for your vendor and material and then create the source record for this vendor- material relationship and make sure that this source record is set as MRP relevant. Once MRP is run, the vendor is automatically defaulted to your PRs. If in your material master, you have defined the same purchasing group for various material numbers, then with Transaction ME59, it is feasible that you can combine various PRs of the same purchasing group by flagging onto the 'Per Purchasing Group' indicator checkbox. Make a trial test and let me know how it goes.
Or you can use Qouta arrabgement in that case for different vendor .Please refer : Multiple Requisition  line itme for Quota arrangement
    Just check and revert

  • MRP keeps pushing delivery schedules out, refusing to firm them (ME33L)

I hope someone has seen something like this before and can let us know where to look.  MRP keeps pushing our delivery schedules out even though it is recommending that they be rescheduled in.  What we'd like to happen is for MRP to leave these schedules alone so that they would move inside the time fence and be firmed automatically.  Here is what is happening:
Part X, MRP type P1, firming type 1, MRP group blank.  Planning time fence 05/07/2007, available quantity -20.
Three schedule lines exist for 05/07/2007, two for 10 and another for 30.
    MRP will run tonight.  Processing Key = NEUPL, purch req = 2, sched lines = 3, MRP list = 1, planning mode = 2, scheduling = 2
Tomorrow, the planning time fence will be at 05/08/2007 and the three schedule lines will move out to 05/08/2007.  The won't move inside the planning time fence and firm up.  They SHOULD BE 05/07/2006 and firmed!
We originally thought that we may have to create a release with ME84 before these would firm, but it made no difference.  They still won't firm unless someone manually changes the date on each and every schedule line.
Does anyone know what we can change or run to get these schedules to firm up instead of having them pushed out continually?

    Hello Randy,
thanks for the update. I didnt remenber this customizing indicator when posting.
Still wondering why planning matters here. I think it should have the same result for all planning modes. Of course planning mode 3 in general should be avoided for performance reasons.
For interested observers I attach the description for this setting in MRP customizing.
    Regards, Martin
Indicator: Only Firm Transmitted Schedule Lines
In this step, you can set an indicator which is used to set only those schedule lines that have been transferred to the vendor.
You can firm schedule lines within the planning time fence (in the same way as planned orders or purchase requisitions) according to the master schedule item firming logic. The planning time fence is a number of days that is calculated into the future starting from the current date. Therefore, the last date of the planning time fence changes every day.
In the firming logic, existing schedule lines are also firmed as soon as they move into the planning time fence.
Schedule lines that lie outside the planning time fence and whose quantity is adjusted in the planning run due to a change of the requirements quantity are firmed with the new quantity as soon as the schedule lines move into the planning time fence.
The schedule lines are transferred to the vendor for the amount recorded in the stock/requirements list at the time of the data transfer.
If you only want to firm the schedule lines in the planning time fence that have been checked and transferred to the vendor, you can use the indicator, Only firm transmitted schedule lines. By selecting this indicator, the system only firms the schedule lines that have been sent to the vendor.
For schedule lines whose quantity has changed and which have moved into the planning time fence, the following occurs if this indicator has been set: if the MRP controller/purchaser does not confirm the procurement plan by sending the changed quantities to the vendor, the schedule line quantities that were sent to the vendor in the previous data transfer are firmed within the planning time fence. This guarantees that the system cannot firm any quantities that have not been checked. It also means that the vondor does not receive any messages for unchecked schedule line quantities.
    Activities
Define the indicator per MRP group and allocate this MRP group to the materials for which this indicator is to be valid.
    Further notes
The message transfer is a purchasing function. You can find it in the purchasing menu, Outline agreement -> Scheduling agreement -> Messages -> Print/transmit.

  • Deletion of Scheduling Agreement and Delivery Schedule using BAPI

    Hi SAP MM Gurus,
    Please assist in inquiry below:
My scenario is that I am trying to delete delivery schedules and scheduling lines using BAPIs. I have no issues when there is no GR made yet for the delivery schedules. The error arises when there are already existing Goods Receipts and Invoices for the schedule line that I wish to delete
When using the BAPIs (either BAPI_SAG_CHANGE or BAPI_SCHEDULE_MAINTAIN), I set the deletion indicator to "L" and set to X all change relevant fields (i.e. DELETION_INDX). However, whenever I execute it, I get the error message 06088. The funny thing is both the Quantities and the delivered quantities that are normally populated are left blank.
    For example:
    Normal error for 06088:
Quantity 100.0 smaller than quantity delivered 179.0
Error using BAPI with deletion indicator:
    Quantity  smaller than quantity delivered
Is this a bug of the BAPI? or am I just missing some settings?
    Your immediate response is appreciated

  • What is the difference between scheduling agreement and delivery schedule

    Hi
    1. Can anyone explain me the difference between scheduling agreement output
        and scheduling agreement delivey schedule
Will the both look same in T.code SP02 when seeing the output for a document.
Can anyone send me T.codes for above ones in purchasing.
    2. when seeing the Detailed statement for rebate agreement, there is item number.
In which table can we see the item number for rebate agreement

    Hi,
If you have to deal with more complex situations, you can define a delivery cycle in the material master record in addition to the planning cycle. In so doing, you determine the days on whichthe vendor delivers his goods. The delivery cycle is entered in the material master record as a planning calendar in the Planning calendar field.
You enter a delivery cycle if the delivery date (or the goods receipt date) depends on the day on which you order the goods. For example, you carry out the planning run and place your orders on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you place the order on Monday, the delivery is made on Wednesday, if you wait until Tuesday to place the order, the delivery is not made until Friday
Where as Planning calander is Three character number (numeric or using letters) that specifically identifies a PPS-planning calendar. The difference between Planning calender and delivery cycle is If you have selected the MRP type "MRP" and have set a period lot-sizing procedure according to planning calendar, you enter here which planning calendar is to be used.
If you selected the "time-phased planning" MRP type, the planning calendar that you specify here defines the delivery cycle. This specifies the days on which the vendor delivers the material. You can enter the planning cycle in addition to the delivery cycle

  • MRP - Ammending PR/Delivery schedules

    In MRP
Standard SAP allows to ammend Fixed indicator of PR, we can reset the indicator, change indicator etc
When it comes to Delivery schdules Standard SAP doesnt allow you to set indicator manually similarly u cant remove indicator manually
Can some one help on answering above question
    Thanks

    Hi,
The F1 help for fixed indicator for Schedule line says that
The indicator is set automatically if:
You make manual changes to a line of a scheduling agreement delivery schedule that was created via the materials planning process
You create a schedule line manually
Check the MRP type and firming type assigned against the MRP type in transaction OMDQ
    Also Refer OSS notes 204153,354164

  • MRP areas and MRP controller..

In a plant if there are some 100 x materials and 100 y materials..
The requirement is when the 100x materials are planned ,The 100 y materials should not be planned(i e 100 y materials should not be considered in planning). How to map this in MRP.
I have heard that using MRP controllers or MRP areas this can be achieved. But I don know how?
If anybody cud help me in how to proceed this?

    HI
This can be achieved through the user exit in MD01 based on MRP controller assing different MRP controller for X and Y material and with the help of ABAP you can use exit in MD01 and run mrp  with that  exit in MD01
sorry the user exit which is used in my scenario which is  same as of yours is M61X0001 as Suggeste by Mr Mangalraj

  • Why GR performed on MRP generated delivery schedule line (unconfirmed)?

    Hi Gurus,
Need some advice from you all, I have a scenario here which MRP generated the delivery schedule lines for material A on 10.08.2011 - 124 KG.
User review the MRP result and didnt confirm the line, but she added in manual line on 11.08.2011 - 124KG.
On 11.08.2011, warehouse performed GR on the delivery schedule lines. It's found that GR was actually updated into the delivery schedule line generated by MRP (10.08.2011) and not the manual line confirmed by user. (11.08.2011).
User is questioning now why the GR able to be performed on MRP generated line which had not been confirmed? Any guru can share with me the fact and good note regarding this on MRP? Thanks!
    Michelle

    Hi,
Since we are talking here about schedule lines, these are open for GR when the delivery schedule is send to the vendor.
In your case you had a quantity open for 10/08/2011 generated by MRP, then the user added manually another line on 11/08/2011. After this the user will have transmitted the delivery schedule which makes that both the items where marked as transmitted and thus open for GR.
Now when the goods come in the system will post against the first open schedule line that is found until this is fulfilled and then switch to the next open line at the moment of GR. So this is why the GR was put against the MRP generated schedule line as this one was the one with the earlier date.
    Regards,
    Peter
