MRP run and creation of one cumulative purchase req

Hello,
mrp run is creating a lot of single purchase reqs with one line (quantity and dates are fine)
but how to set up MRP so that instead of multiple purchase reqs ONE purchase req with many lines is created.
Thanks, Sebastian

this is not forseen in the design.
Where would be the benefit? have a look into table EBAN.
There would not be one record less with this concept.
Further, in bigger organizations, several buyers would then work with the same purchase requisition, which could lead to lock and update problems.

    Hi,
i am running a mto scenario in which sale order is created and mrp run is done and i checked the stock md04 of a finished product in that the rawmaterials and semifinshed products are showing the traffic light green light of show overview tree in md04 when it is first time created there is no stock of the rawmaterial and semfinished product.
with out any stock why it is showing the traffic light  green and what is the procedure to show the light red when stock is not there.
rawmaterial is of consumable like paint in which it is not supporting in the bom and it is giving the message it is of process material can any body pls help me how paint is created as a consumable in bom creation.
    regards,
    muralidhar.t

    Hi muralidhar,
MRP is a planning tool, not an availability check one.
It means that you are getting a green light even though there's no stock because the lead time to procure is shorter than the requirement date.
Regarding consumables, I'm not sure what you include in that, but you can either define them as non stock items in the BOM (in which case they will be specifically purchased for the production order), or maybe you meant that these materials are planned using consumption based planning; in this case they are defined normally as a stock item in the BOM, the difference being that they are not exploded in MRP, and the requirements are not triggered by the higher level.

  • MTS - MRP Run and Poduction version

    DEAR PP GURUS & EXPERTS,
There is a case of MAKE TO STOCK and we have multiple production versions (OR BOM) for a single material.
Now, MRP Point of view: Suppose we want to produce (let 6000 PCS) of that finished goods. Out of which:
    1000 Based on BOM1,     2000 Based on BOM2      3000 Based on BOM3
Can we differentiate 6000 PCS During MRP RUN or During MRP Run can we devide the Finished Qty in percentage.
    Thanks in Advance.

    DEAR PP GURUS / EXPERTS
Suppose, I have finished Goods 20017440 for which I want to produce 5000 PCS. For that I have mentioned  Quota arrangement  Usage 3 in MRP-2 View, In MRP-4 View Under BOM Explosion / dependent requirement I have mentioned
    Selection Method -3 and also mentioned Production versions (1001, 1002 & 1003).
After that in MEQ1(Quota arrangement) I have mentioned Validity and three lines for this item by defining:
QAI     P     S     PPI     Ver     Quota     in%     Quota BAse Qtt
    1     E     E     1152     1001     2     20     1000
    2     E     E     1152     1002     5     50     2500
    3     E     E     1152     1003     3     30     1500
After that Run MRP in MD02-NETCH-2-1-3-3-2 and chek the result in MD04.
But Result is appearing only for 1 Production version not for second and third.
Actually my requirement is: I want to Produce 1000 PCS as per production version 1001, 2500 PCS as per production Ver. 1002 and 1500 PCS as per Prod. ver. 1003. So, total Qty. is 5000 PCS. For these I want to run MRP and generate planned Order.
Please Suggest Where I am wrong.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Block Stock consider during MRP Run and Stock availibility check

    Dear All,
I am facing the stock availibility check , Sytem consider the Defective material which is Block in same storage location ,and system not generate the Planned order .
-Blocked Material stock 100, and requirement 100 then system not generate the planned. Client need the system generate planned order 100 , Because 100 material is defective.
I have configured the system scope of availibility , Block stock check remove , but problem is not solve.
    Thanks
    Rajesh Tiwari

    Dear ,
Can you please re-check your MRP plant parametrs in OPPQ wether   you have selected blocked stock( Available Stock tab )  option by chance ?
Please de-select the same  and re-run MRP.Generally MRP does not consider block stock  in net requirement calcualtion .One more thing  , MRP does material avilablity check as per OMJJ set up ( define availbality chek ) but does not consider the same while doing net requirement calcualtion to generate PR rather it goes down to MRP plant parametrs ( oppq or oppr )
    Hope this is clear

  • Missing LO changes and creations since one month

    Hi
We have some issues with our LO data source and now the issue has been resolved. We need to delete the requests since one month
and reload. We have the following date selections available in the info pakcage Createdon and changed on. Can we load all the
changes and new creation during that time with this selctions without getting duplicates ?
    Please advice

    Hi,
created on load part is fine as you said and you should do that but
then load the data changed between those two dates
this part will create issue as it will send records to cube which are already present in the cube since they can have created on dates in the past.
created on load part is fine as you said and you should do that.
I mean....same record can have created on and changed values
created on is static and will never change...so a record created in 01.01.1900 will not come in your selection based on created on but it is still present in the cube.
now if the same record got changed in the last one month..i.e. the time when the delta was not working...if you give the changed on selection then it will bring the same record again...and may be if your load goes for two days then for the third time as well if it gets changed on last loading day...
some thing like you loaded for the selection
first you loaded created on 01.01.1900-31.09.2008
    then changed on 01.10.2008- 02.12.2008
Now there is one record which as created on date as 01.01.1900...and changed on date as 02.10.2008...and if the old record is not deleted from the cube then it will get doubled. after load based on changed on
also if the load keep on running for two days and is the same record got changed on 03.12.2008 then it will come thrice.
So in any case you will have to delete the history from the cube to load the data correctly.
    Thanks

  • BAPI to modify items and create new ones in Purchase Order

    Hi, everybody!
We need to change purchase orders (PO's) using a BAPI.
We need not only to modify and delete the existing items in a PO, but also create new
items in the same PO. Is it possible to do that using the bapi called BAPI_PO_CHANGE?
If it isn't so, which BAPI should we use?
    Could anybody help us?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
Use the Function module BAPI_PO_CHANGE. This BAPI changes the existing line and also will append new lines to the existing POs.
The other mandatory part is to populate the Change Parameter tables too.
    Hope this answers your question.

  • System is not considering open reservations at the time of next MRP Run

    Hi,
In our business process, subcontractors are defind as Vendors in the SAP system and materials will be provided / transfered to these subcontractors in the SAP system through Subcontracting route (541 movement type). Now, business wants to 'Monitor' the stocks at these subcontractors, so that always subcontractors should have the Optimum stocks at his location. So to monitor the same, business wants to have the MRP / CBP process in the SAP system.
To run the MRP for all these Subcontractors at each material level following configuration and Master data is maintained in the SAP:
Business is having around 10 plants in the SAP system and all these plants are defined as MRP Areas in the SAP system to run MRP. Along with this subcontractors (100 Subcontractors) are defined as MRP Areas (100 MRP areas) in the SAP system and each MRP Area (subcontractors) are mapped in the MRP Area configuraion according to the respective above mentioned plants in the SAP system.
At the time of running the MRP for these MRP areas in the SAP system based on Re-order point and Max stock level (both at subcontractors MRP Area and Plant MRP Area Level), system will consolidate the requirement from all the subcontractors MRP Areas (Transfer Reservation) to at plant level. From plant a considering all these requirement + warehouse buffer stock, a Purchase Requisition will be raised to procure the material from other plant or from external vendor.
Suppose, if the requirements of the previous MRP run are not fulfilled in the SAP system, and if MRP is run again in the SAP system at both Subcontractor MRP Area and Plant MRP Area Level, the system will delete the Previous "TRANSFER RESERVATIONS" and Recreate the new one. The problem here is suppose eventhough the Transfer Reservation requirements are partially fulfilled, a new reservation is Re-created in the SAP system in the next MRP run and this will create the Incorrect results in the MRP results/requirements.
So, can you please suggest what can done for this problem?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan

Please use the planning option - delete and re create ...which will balance the net requirement

  • Rounding of Decimal for dependent requirement During MRP Run

    Hello Experts,
    I have the following scenario:
We are currently enabling Characteristic Based Planning in our system.
Our one component is selected when two characteristic values are met through object dependencies.
    Ex: Component A = Char A= '002' and Char B ='002'
Now we have given the following Usage Probability for the two characteristic:
    Char A = 20%
    Char B = 15%
And the total PIR quantity is 25 Pcs for Configurable Header.
With the above usage probability and PIR Qty, We have a dependent requirement of 0.75 Ea
    ((20% X 15%) of 25 Pcs) = 3% of 25 Pcs = 0.75 Ea of the component
Now during MRP Run I want to round the dependent Requiremnet to 1 Ea instead of 0.75 Ea.
Any suggestion towards the solution will be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Vinod

    Hi Vivek,
As mentioned we are using Characteristic Based Planning.
The component is selected based on a Selection comdition which is as follows:
    Component 721290201000 = $PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER = '002' and $PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR ='002'
When the above two conditions are met the component is selected.
In Characteristic Based Planning we give percentages (Usage Probabality) to the characteristic values like:
    $PARENT.BCS_RL_LINE_LOADER/'002' =20%
    $PARENT.BCS_RL_WAFER_VENDOR/'002'= 30%
For the Parent which is a KMAT Material we maintain the PIR say 40 Qty.
Now the component qty is calculated as follows:
    721290201000 =(20% X 30%) of 40 Qty of parent
    721290201000 =(6%) of 40 Qty of parent
721290201000 = 2.4 Qty of component is the dependent req.
Now my requirent is to round the dependent requirenment to 3 during MRP Run. Please note that the purchase requisition got from the above dependent requirement is rounded to 3 qty.
Now I want to round the dependent requirement.

  • Simulative MRP Run

    Hello everybody,
I have a question about the MRP Run, and the way we could implement our way to work...
For the moment, some raw materials (bottom of the BOM's) are used with MRP Type "VB".
This allows MRP to create purchase requisitions following min/max levels.
We would like to keep this for the moment.
But we also would like to enter a ticket (= needed quantities) for one month on the top items of the BOM's, and run the MRP to see the raw materials requirements.
But, "just to see"... not to order in reality...
    Is it possible?
In fact, it's a kind of "simulative" MRP Run...
In the future, we will have to order the raw materials, following the requirements generated from the ticket.
    BUT
we will have also the real requirements on raw materials to cover the needs of the production.
Do you think it is possible to use MRP Run in both ways?
My feeling is that it is impossible, but I would like to have a feedback of experts on this.
In our "old" system, which SAP is designed to replace, we have the possibility to do this:
    - We have a schedule on the BOM top-items;
    - We run the requirements calculation;
    - We get the raw materials requirements used for production/logistic.
But we also have this (separetely of course):
    - We have a ticket (kind of schedule for a longer period) on the BOM top-items;
    - We run the requirements calculation;
    - We get the raw materials requirements used for purchasing.
We can do both in the system, but of course, in 2 different transactions (which are separate).
Do you think this is possible in SAP?
I hope this is not too confusing at reading... Anyway, thanks a lot in advance for your help on this subject.
    Regards,
    Rudy

    Hello Rudy ,
Here is the idea behin Simulative MRP Run
Single-item, multi-level planning in simulative mode enables you to check the results during the planning run and to make adjustments. In contrast to planning with the parameter Display results before saving, the system displays problems with lower-level assemblies or with components on a higher-level or on the finished-product level and these can be solved immediately.
All the materials in a BOM structure are planned top-down.
All changes are saved in the main memory. The results are not entered in the database until after changes are saved.
For problems with dates such as order dates in the past, the system sets an exception message in the planned order of the higher-level material or in the planned order of the finished product and displays the delay. If there is a delay, the system displays the total number of days that a planned order is delayed due to a problem with a lower-level assembly or component. The system displays this information in two additional columns in the planning result of the finished product.
If the start date of an assembly for a finished product is 3 days in the past and the start date of the component that is installed in the assembly is 5 days in the past, the system displays a delay time of 8 days in the planning result of the finished product.
Evaluation functions such as the order report and the pegging function enable you to quickly find the procurement element causing the delay or the exception message.
You can change the relevant procurement elements and repeat the planning run for the next lower level of the BOM. The system then automatically firms the changed MRP elements.
Action Required : Goto MD01 you have to select the Simulation mode field in the initial screen for the single-item, multi-level planning run and started the planning run.
Hope thi will give you the idea about your requirement.
    Reward point  if useful.
    Regards
    Jia

  • While MRp run which time is taken into consideration(from PIR or from MM)

    Hi PP gurus,
When we run MRP which time is taken into consideration for a bought out material :
From Material Master ( Planned delivery time)
    or
From Purchase Info record : the delivery time mentioned in the PIR ..
In my case the MRp run is showing 2 different results in different systems for the same material.
Also please let me know that if there is any priority that can be set in SPRO for picking up the time while MRP run and what takes priority and when.

    Hi!,
If you are getting two different values after MRP in two different systems then please check:
    1.  whether any other info record exist for the same material in any of the system.
    2. Have you maintained source list in both the systems for the material. How many sources are defined in the source list and in what sequence. If you have not maintained a quota arrangement then system will take first line item of the source list.
You can't set the priority for the planned delivery time but you can set whether system should take planned delivery time from info record or not in IMG setting Material Management > Consumption based Planning > Planning > Procurement Proposals > Define External Procurement. To use the planned delivery time from info record you must maintain a source list for that material with same vendor. Also make that source as MRP relevant.

  • MRP planning and Availability check

    Dear Friends ,
We are updating  Availablity check in the MRP view for all materials in materials master , While running MRP system is considering ATP check as per SPRO settings defined for Availablity check group .
Weare not conclude what is the relation for MRP run and availablity check , or  any seperate SPRO settings available for MRP on availablity.
If we not assigned the Availablity check in MRP view what will happen if  during MRP run ?
    thanks & regards
    Suresh Babu.S

    Suresh,
MRP does not look at what you have configured for Availability check. These two are independent from each other.
    As given in Help,
In the planning run, the system carries out the following partial processes:
    1. The system checks the planning file entries. Here, the system checks to see whether a material has been changed in some way relevant to MRP and should therefore be included in the planning run (see Checking the Planning File Entries).
    2. The system carries out a net requirements calculation for every material. Here, the system checks to see whether the requirement quantity is covered by available warehouse stock and fixed receipts from Purchasing or production. If the requirement quantity is not covered, the system creates a procurement proposal (see Net Requirements Calculation).
    3. Then the system carries out the lot-sizing calculation. Here, the system takes the lot-sizing procedure and, if necessary, the rounding up or down values into account (see Lot-Sizing Calculation).
The system carries out scheduling to calculate the start and finish dates of the procurement proposals (see Scheduling).
    4. The system determines the type of procurement proposals. Depending on the settings, the system creates either planned orders, purchase requisitions or schedule lines for a material (see Determining the Procurement Proposal). If you have maintained the necessary specifications for procurement quota arrangements, the system determines the source of supply which it assigns to the procurement proposal (see Quota Arrangements).
    5. The system recognizes critical situations which the planner has to processes manually in the planning results. For this purpose, the system creates exception messages and carries out a rescheduling check (see Creating Exception Messages and Rescheduling Check).
Availability check is not a planning process, it is basically a CHECK, based on the Scope of check derived for that Particular transaction, system check the availability of a material and it can confirm or propose the possible availability date.
In short if a material is defined with Check Group "KP", but with MRP type PD, still MRP would creates procurement proposals if the demand is more than the stock+recipets.

  • Error in MRP Run

    Dear Friends,
While i am running MPS for FERT items, system is giving exception message 64 (Production finish after order finish) against planned order created for July requirement & subsequent month requirement.
What could be the probable reason.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Sachin

    Dear,
Solution given by our Expert Rajshekar Reddy will solve your pronlem.
As the order start date and finish date are based on inhouse production time in Material master, but the production start date and finish date are based on Routing, so if there is in consistency between In house production time and routing time this error occurs. Check the inhouse production time and enter a bigger value in same, if the order quantity is expected to large always.
So go to routing CA02ExtraScheduling -- Schedule-- excute it then click on scheduling result and mark for materail amster update. Then go to CA96 and update the materail master.
Then take MRP run and check in new production order.

  • Sales order delivered and invoiced but purchase req still open?

    Hi all
I have a process where a sales order triggers the creation of a third party purchase requisition.
A PO was created and then deleted because the sales order was filled from a different purchase order where too much had been ordered.
The sales order was delivered and invoiced but the original Purchase Req is still open on MD04!
I can't find anyway to delete the req as it tells me it has to be deleted via the sales order but the sales order appears complete.
    Any ideas??

    Hi,
Deletion of PR can be done using ME52N
This is only possible provided that no purchase order have been assigned.  If po has been created, you can only Flag for Deletion.
To delete the pr, select the line(s) you wish to delete and then click on the dustbin icon.
Hope this will help you !!!
