MRP type configuration :MRP procedure

HI gurus ,
when I am doing the requirement planning for material  with MRP type RF (with MRP procedure W) the material can not be planned by MD03,but only by WRP1 ,after I change the MRP type to VV (with MRP procedure S)  ,it works .
My question is : how to make clear the difference behind the different transaction ,is it based on the different MRP procedure in the MRP type configuration or something else ? And what else MRP type can be planned with MD03?
Thanks in advance
Ryan .

Hi,
As far as, I understand, there is not linkage of MRP Type and Planning Transactions. Planning Transactions have their own purpose.
MD01 - MRP Run ast Plant level based on Scope of Check
MD02 - MRP - Single-item, Multi-level (This will explode the BOM of material entered for planning and plan all the componenets)
MD03 - MRP-Individual Planning-Single Level (This will not explode the BOM of material entered and plan only the entered material)

  • Specify a valid MRP procedure

    hi all,
    While i am doing MRP/CBP, at MMR in MRP1
    for MRP procedure i gave
    MRP type = VB
    for Lot size data
    Lot size = HB
    but system is showing a error "specify a valid mrp procedure"
    Hw can i solve this issue

    Madhu,
    I have never seen that message. Have you ever successfully run MRP in this plant using any MRP type?  (MRP will not execute without first being configured)
    MRP procedure is defined as part of the MRP type (OMDQ).  I tried the combination of VB/HB on two different systems, with no problems.  Is it possible that someone has altered either the MRP type VB (which should have MRP procedure 'B'), or the Lot size HB, on your system?

  • Issue;Specify a valid MRP procedure

    Hi Guru:
    When I am doing extension the material to the new plant which I configured before,and I encountered the error message "specify a valide MRP procedure" while maintaining the MRP setting specified to the new plant,please help to solve.

    Hi Allen,
    The message is correct...
    The message comes because the MRP settings are to be maintained at the level...
    So when you extend the material for a new plant...and at the same time when you maintain the MRP data or MRP view...system will ask you to maintain all the MRP data that is required...
    So, please maintain you MRP data again at this level..
    You can also take help of MRP profiles..to copy the data into MMR...

  • How to configure release procedure for rate contracts release

    Dear all,
    How to configure release procedure for rate  contract following are the requirements
    they are two release codes c1 & c2 <=100000,>=100000
                    if  c1 is not there c2 has to be approved
         Change in the value of the rate contract contract
         Change in the validity of the rate contract
         Addition of deletion of line items
    While using a non u2013 released rate contract in the PO an error message should shoot out.
    Also the logic should be changed while using the rate contract in the PO.
    The usage of the rate contract should be till the validity of the rate contract. i.e. the measurement should be end date of the rate contract and the PO creation date and not the delivery date of the PO. &
    It should be possible to refer existing valid rate contracts in purchase orders.
    Regards,
    bhaskar

    Hi,
    In SAP rate contract is known as value contract denoted with wk. The release procedure for rate contract is same as that of other contracts and scheduling agreements. The tables  for contracts will vary with SA (Scheduling agreement) .You may try and maintain condition records based on the customer combination and maintian the validity date of condition records as per your requirement.For contract and PO will have the same header/item table as EKKO/EKPO, and the release
    class in standard is the same FRG_EKKO, you can use the same for contract.
    To distinguish if it's a contract or PO, EKKO-BSART can be used.
    For contract EKKO-BSART will be MK or WK, while PO will have NB/UB etc..
    You can restrict the document type to set up the release strategy for only contract.
    Of cause, you can also create your own release class Z* for contract copying standard
    one FRG_EKKO via CL01/Class type 032, and then assign the class Z* to customizing:
    OLME:
    -> contract
    ->Release Procedure for Contracts
    ->Define Release Procedure for Contracts
    ->Release Groups
    If you have already created the PO release class.
    Assign a new chracteristic of Document Category -BSTYP
    Please check below link for detailed release procedure. I hope this wil help you out .Thanking you.

  • Service tax condition types in Pricing Procedure in SD(Taxinn)

    I need one more advice on Service tax.
    I am configuring order type for services.In that in pricing I have to add the service tax conditions type for service tax & cess on that.We do not have any standard condition type in our pricing procedure for services.
    Is there any standard SAP doc. to configure service tax condition types in pricing procedure or I have to copy from JLST & JLSR(surcharge).What about the account keys I will used for these condition types.
    If you have any doc. related to this issue please send it to me....or suggest me what to do.
    Please remeber I am using TaxINN tax procedure.
    Please help me
    Thanks & Regards
    Sunil Garg

    PROCEDURE: Initial Steps
    Create two new Tax conditions: JSE4, JES4. Steps for creation of Tax Condition is illustrated below
    Create new condition types
    SAP Standard IMG -> Financial Accounting -> Financial Accounting Global Settings -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> Check Calculation Procedure. (Transaction OBYZ)
    Select ‘Define Condition Types’
    Select Condition Type JIN1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JSE4 and the Name as “Service Tax”.
    Select Condition Type JIN5 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Condition type as JES4 and the Name as “ECS on Service Tax”.
    Outcome: The two tax conditions, one for Service Tax and the second for Education Cess on Service Tax have now been created.
    1.     Create a new tax posting key VS9 and VS0.
    The path for this is:
    SPRO &#61664; Financial Accounting &#61664; Financial Accounting Global Settings &#61664; Tax on Sales/Purchases &#61664; Basic Settings &#61664; Check and Change Settings for Tax Processing
    Select the Processing Key MW1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Key as VS9 and Name as ‘India Service Tax’.
    Select the Processing Key MW1 and Click on Copy as (F6) and give the Key as VS0 and Name as ‘ECS on Service Tax’.
    Note: If there are multiple service tax registration numbers, you need to have separate account posting to different GL accounts based on service registration number. This can be done provided a separate tax code is maintained for each service registration number.
    To achieve this you need to define a set of 2 separate G/L accounts for service tax and Education CESS on service tax respectively, for every service registration number.
    In such a case, please activate multiple accounts posting per tax code as follows:
    Defining the GL accounts for the Service tax and ECS on Service Tax:
    SPRO &#61664; Financial Accounting &#61664; Financial Accounting Global Settings &#61664; Tax on Sales/Purchases &#61664; Posting -> Define Tax accounts
    Go to Details of the Transaction VS9 (Service Tax GL account)  and enter the Chart of accounts…
    Select the Tax Code Check Box if you want to have Tax Code Specific GL accounts or Blank when the common GL accounts…

  • Document Type Configuration question

    Hi,
    What does Condition type Line Items (Condition type for copying costs from line items) mean in a sales document type configuration.I am not clear even after reading the F1 help on this field.
    I know that it has something to do with the pricing condition types EK01 and EK02 but still am not able to relate it completely with business point of view.
    I know the differences between EK01 and EK02 and am also aware of the concept but I want to know the usage of giving picing Condition type at document type level.
    It can come directly from the Pricing procedure then why do we give here?

    Laxmi or Bala or Venkat..Anybody can reply if they have some suggestions?

    Hello Ricky,
    For triggering Idoc you will use your regular output type but medium will be "Send Message via EDI / ALE"
    More information you will find with the following link<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/15/3cf334c20ccc52e10000009b38f83b/frameset.htm">IDoc interface</a>

  • Movement type configuration and account determination

    Hi Experts,
    Is movement type config SD responsibility?
    Should it be MM?
    How is movement type important for account determination?
    Where to configure it? From SD point of view, can i say just configure in Material master?
    regards
    Tom
    certified but jobless

    Hi,
    Is movement type config SD responsibility?
    Should it be MM?
    Movement types configuration is part of MM (most of time no need to configure new as standards are enough)
    How is movement type important for account determination?
    Movement type are  not considered for account determination in SD
    Account determination is carried out in VKOA
    Where to configure it? From SD point of view, can i say just configure in Material master?

  • Mapping refcursors with object types in a procedure

    Hi all,
    I need some help regarding the mapping of refcursors with object types .
    Example: Procedure "A" has object types as input/output parameters which lies in the Web Method Application as a API.
    We are creating a procedure "B" which has ref cursors as input/ouput parameters
    which will map to the Procedure "A"'s object type parameters.
    It will be highly needful for the solution.
    Regards
    Saugata

    Your pseudocode has a lot of steps in it, but you didn't say which step you need help with. Since I already covered going from a nested table type to a refcursor, I'll assume you want an example that goes the other way now, like from a refcursor to a nested table type. Here's one ...
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL>
    SQL> create type nested_table_type as table of varchar2(14) ;
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> create function func
      2    ( p_cursor in sys_refcursor )
      3    return nested_table_type
      4  as
      5    v_nested_table nested_table_type ;
      6  begin
      7
      8    fetch p_cursor bulk collect into v_nested_table ;
      9    return( v_nested_table );
    10
    11  end;
    12  /
    Function created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> select func( cursor( select dname from dept ) ) as nested_table from dual ;
    NESTED_TABLE
    NESTED_TABLE_TYPE('ACCOUNTING', 'RESEARCH', 'SALES', 'OPERATIONS')If your cursor selects objects instead of simple data types, the code is pretty much the same.
    SQL> create type object_type as object ( c1 varchar2(14), c2 varchar2(13) );
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> create type nested_table_type as table of object_type ;
      2  /
    Type created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> create function func
      2    ( p_cursor in sys_refcursor )
      3    return nested_table_type
      4  as
      5    v_nested_table nested_table_type ;
      6  begin
      7
      8    fetch p_cursor bulk collect into v_nested_table ;
      9    return( v_nested_table );
    10
    11  end;
    12  /
    Function created.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    SQL>
    SQL> select
      2    func( cursor( select object_type( dname, loc ) from dept ) ) as object_table
      3  from dual ;
    OBJECT_TABLE(C1, C2)
    NESTED_TABLE_TYPE
      ( OBJECT_TYPE('ACCOUNTING', 'NEW YORK'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('RESEARCH', 'DALLAS'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('SALES', 'CHICAGO'),
        OBJECT_TYPE('OPERATIONS', 'BOSTON')
      )(NB I manually reformated the query results for clarity).

  • Condition types in pricing procedure.

    Hello,
    I have the following scenario in the condition tab from sales order.
                  AMOUNT                    CALCULATED VALUE
    Z002
    Z003
    Z004           2.5%                          10000
    Net Value    100                            10000
    If I do This:
    Z002
    Z003            1                                    1
    Z004           2.5%                          10001
    Net Value    101                            10001
    In this case I want the net value to be changed if any of this conditions has a new value but I want the value of each condition value not to be preserved like this.
    Z002             1                                  1
    Z003             1                                  1
    Z004           2.5%                          10000
    Net Value    102                            10002
    What I have to do in the condition type or pricing procedure to avoid this adding in the condition types.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Vasant,
    You can cannot add two conditions with similar characteristics it is illogical for ex : you can have freight on percentage one & another for value, once in document you have entered any one condition, where is requrirement to use the same condition, this is the reason SAP doesn't allow to have the same conditon & also in calculation it matters if you calculate 1 to 5 x value for conditon A & if you are using the same condition again to calculate 9 to 13 where the pricing will calculate & what it will calculate.
    Thanks & Regards

  • How to set posting block in BIlling Doc type configuration

    Hi All,
    Can anybody tell me, How to set posting block in BIlling Doc type configuration.I need to do this to seperate billing creation from from FI/CO posting in my company.
    We right now run have the batch jobs which run VF06 & VFX3.
    Appreciate any input or suggestions.
    Regards,
    Vinay

    Hi
    If you want to check the Manual posting blocks you can configure them through FI/CO. Once you have configured the blocks with reasons it will automatically block for the payments.
    goto        SPRO-> Financial accounting->Account receivable & Payable ->Business Transactions-> Out going Payments-> Manual outgoing Payments-> Check payment block reason.

  • "change output" feature in output type configuration

    Hi
      I am trying to find a way of automatically triggering repeat output on change of delivery date in order.
       In output type configuration-general data there is a are for change output the F1 helps reada like this "..........The routine in the program checks which changes should result in a changed output being sent. ......"
       If anybody has worked on this functionality, please help me by giving any relevant input.
    TIA

    Take a copy of output requirement 014 and change the code to make it work for your delivery date.  Output requirement 014 is provided in standard SAP for BV - cash sales.  In cash sales, if the net value is changed, the output is automatically retriggered.
    Remember the KOMKBV1 in the below code represents the sales orders communication structure. If you are doing this requirement for delivery document use KOMKBV2 and for billing document output determination use KOMKBV3.
    ***INCLUDE LV61B014 .
