MSI Start-up error codes (not beep codes)

When i see the MSI Mainboard start-up screen, I see a number or letter at the bottom right.
The numbers and letters I see are: 99, A3, and B6. But, most of the time, I see 99.
What do they mean?

99 = Super IO Initialization
A3 = IDE Enable
B6 = Clean-up of NVRAM
all are post codes and if its quickly passing them your ok and its nothing to worry about! is it getting stuck on 99 for a prolonged period or are you just curious?

MBAM - Encryption does not start. Error code 0x80041016

I'm having trouble getting MBAM and bitlocker working.
I followed the guidelines from MS, and setup my MBAM server and Bitlocker GPO. My test client is hit by the GPO - i can see the registry
settings pointing to the MBAM server, and the URL's are accessible by the client.
I get this error message in my client MBAM event log:
"An error occured while sending encryption status data"
"Error code: 0x80041016"
"Details: NULL"
I can't seem to find this error code referenced anywhere. Does anyone know what this means?<o:p></o:p>

OpenLDAP not Starting Specific error code 16

Hi....,
From last 5 days i was unable to start my openldap,I am working on Hyperion 11.1.1.3.
When i run db_recover,its giving me the Error as
db_recover: Finding last valid log LSN:file:1 offset 28
db_recover: PANIC:DB_NOTFOUND:No Matching key/data pair found
db_rocver: DB_ENV->open:DB_RUNRECOVERY:Fatal Error,run database recovery.
Please help me out in resolving the problem.

If you have no backup and you cannot recover the db then there are not many options left to get your provisioning back.
If you can't restore then you could try the following
*1 To delete excessive log files, navigate via command line to a path resembling the following and run:*
C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\bdb\bin\db_archive -d -h C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\var\openldap-data
or navigate and run:
C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\var\openldap-data ..\..\bdb\bin\db_archive -l
*2 To clean the .bdb files, navigate via command line to a path resembling and run:*
C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\bdb\bin\db_recover -v -h C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\var\openldap-data
or navigate into:
C:\Hyperion\products\Foundation\openLDAP\var\openldap-data and run (multiple times!) ..\..\bdb\bin\db_recover -v
*3 Restart OpenLDAP and Hyperion Shared Services*
If that doesn't work then your final option may be

*4. Start the OpenLDAP service and the Shared Services web application*
*5. Log into Shared Services and select Administration -> Sync Native Directory*

Server 2008 R2 Standard - Netlogon Service fails to start with error code 31 a device attached to the system is not functioning

Device manager does not show any signs of failed hardware
Server used to be the only domain controller in the network
We had a power failure that resulted in the machine powering off incorrectly (3 months ago or so)
Windows would not start for a missing file
Followed a guide to resolve and we were able to get into windows
Since then the OS has not seemed to work correctly
Server was demoted and AD moved to another server
I am now not able to assign permissions to folders to domain users because this machine does not see the domain
We still use this server as a file server

I believe that your system is facing some corruptions.
The easiest way to proceed would be to migrate the server content to another location, re-install it and migrate them back.
Otherwise, you can try running chkdsk /r /f and sfc /scannow
and see if this helps.

Re-install the feature and restart the servers
check registry key value winreg - local service account read only and added domain admin account
2 days googling, no luck

Now that you have a cluster in place and you installed a VM on this but is the VM HA enabled ?
even on a cluster your VM can still be single server. For creating a HA VM you need shared storage or shared VHDX. and you will need the broker services with out this there is no-way the VM will failover.

[SOLVED] motherboard MSI Z77A-GD65 error code B2

I recently installed an MSI Z77A-GD65.
Here is my config:
- MSI Z77A-GD65
- I5 2500K + Noctua NH U12P-SE2
- KINGSTON Hyper X 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 x 2 GB
- 2 x SSD VERTEX 3 and 4
- POV GTX 660 Ultra Charged 2 go
- WD Caviar 500 GB
- Supply CORSAIR GAMING GS 600
- Case CM HAF932 advanced
I searched all the forums I have not found anything on my problem is the following.
at the first start (after installing the hardware) I got a black screen with the little bar at the top left flashing in the bottom right and "B2" then a black screen with the same small bar but not flashing. On my motherboard I have a set of code that runs and stops at B2. No BIOS.J 'tried everything:
- Move the graphics card
- Exchange up memories, play with the colors of slots, try with only 2 bar, try with 3 instead of 4 memories
- Disconnect the SSD and the HDD, change the connections at the plug SATA, try with HDD only
- Clear CMOS
- Start without devices connected (only with keyboard, mouse and screen)
- Check all my connections and CPU + Noctua
NOTHING .......................... I do not understand

Reading A0, it is at the point of OS loading. A0 is not an error.

MSI Z77 Mpower error code "B2"

Hello,
I had just bought a Z77 MPOWER board to fit with my Core i7 -3770K.
When i try to boot i got the code error "b2" and nothing more...
Many people seems to had got the same problem, so i tried few "solutions".
When i downgrade my GPU card (7970 Radeon) to an old 8800 GTS, i can boot, but Keyboard and DVD and one of my HDDs are not activated (so i can't install MSI drivers from CD) the mouse works.
I had Already install the last BIOS from MSI support, that don't change anything.
I will be glad to get help , i barely going to send back all stuff to seller
and go back to Asus Board...

G5 imac won't start up error code "2ROM1/2:0x6" :(

I have a 20'' imac G5 with no camera bought in 2004. It suddenly died one morning seemingly unexpectedly.
Upon switching it on, after about a minute of blank screen a small folder icon flashes in the centre of the screen switching between the finder logo and a question mark.
I've inserted the hardware checking cd the came with the computer, holding down 'c' to perform the check.
5 seconds in whilst examining the Logic board the code ''2ROM1/2:0x6''

Your iMac has a tiny internal PRAM battery, it might be time to replace it. See this link:

Failed to schedule Software Protection service for re-start . Error Code: 0x80040154.

Any one ever get this error in the event Viewer? I think its some sort of permissions issue for a software installed. But I can't seam to figure it out.

This is usually caused by corruption in the scheduled task.
Please post the detail event id in application event log.
Meanwhile, you could have a try the following solution:
Recreate the task:
Net stop SPPSVC
Rename or delete the 3 files
from C:\Windows\System32\Tasks\Microsoft\Windows\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
SvcRestartTask
SvcRestartTaskLogon
SvcRestartTaskNetwork
From another working machine copy the 3 files or extract the files from the
DVD\ISO \sources folder using the install.wim file as your source
Rename with .xml extension
Import into Task scheduler
Run net start sppsvc

When Starting Itunes, Error Code 7 (Windows 14003)

I recently ressurected my computer from a Windows Update Issue. I run windows 7 64bit. I have tried using the support how-to's to resolve my issue. IE, uninstalling, restarting, reinstalling. All to no avail. Is there anything else I should be looking for?
One thing I noticed is that Quicktime is no where to be found on my computer. Tried to install it and then boot Itunes, but still got the same error.

Additional info: I run Windows Defender and Security Essentials for AV, Spy. I also run Malwarebytes once every two weeks.

I do not know how to modify any startup parameters. I am new to WebLogic and downloaded and installed the server for the first time yesterday. I used all of the defaults for the install. To start the server I am using Windows Start menu like this:
Start-->All Programs-->Oracle WebLogic-->WebLogic Server 10gR3-->Examples-->Start Examples Server
A command prompt window opens and the messages I described earlier display in the window.
These were the messages when I used another command window to call the example server domain's bin\setDomainEnv.cmd script and then execute java -version (as suggested in the earlier post):

I see now that when I go to
Start-->All Programs-->Oracle WebLogic-->WebLogic Server 10gR3-->Examples
that there is an option to "Stop Example Server" When I choose that option another command window opens, a couple of messages scroll by, there's a pause at a "connecting to t3://localhost:7001" then a bunch of message flash by and the command window disappears. So I can't capture the output of that command.
I tried rebooting my laptop but no change in the behavior.
There is some good news. I tried starting the Medical Records Server. That command succeeded. I will see what I can learn through using the Medical Records Server and ignore the Examples Server for now.

iSync fails when run from .Mac System Preferences with message
"There was a problem with the sync operation
Could not retrieve .Mac configuration."
However, Backup and iDisk access are successfull.

iSync does not run from a System Preferences pane, but .Mac Sync does.
This is actually a .Mac Sync issue, not an iSync issue. Since the release of Mac OS X 10.4 about 19 months ago, the synchronization of selected content to and through .Mac has been the responsibility of .Mac Sync. You may want to post you query here, instead:
