MSS - Manage Requirments Proficiency ( Customization )

Dear Friends.
My client asks me to remove/hide buttons ( Create and delete ) from create - edit - delete button functionality in the Portal ( MSS - Manage Requirement - Proficiency update or (something)... - will it be possible for me to change those buttons. if possible How I will do that. by ( customizing, authorizations, new development, ) please give me your expert advice.. your any help will be greatly appreciated,
is this webdynpro application is belongs to abap or java...?

3) Hold control and press rightmouse button
You can personalize the screen from there...

In MSS Manager Report, there is report a called Absence Quota Information. Now, the report add all vacation quota type into the report but actually, we want to have one vacation quota type to be used as deductive quota, therefore, this quota type need be deducted from total quota amount. I tried customizing Discussion service taskflow customization .Repeatedly restart Jdeveloper by switching between roles and I got work done. More than customizing in coding,try to edit in structure window , that shows a good result.

MSS Manager's Desktop Reports

I have created a new Function code and assigned to a category under MDT. The report shows up fine under MSS>Reports however, I get this selection screen (LPA Reporting) forcing me to select employees before getting to Reports Result. Is there a way to skip this step so that the actual report is launched directly?

MSS - Manager -employees reporting not current date

Hi All,
There is a requirement to have financial close date to be the date based on which the reportees need to be shown for a manager during compensation decision making months( 2 months from financial year close). During other times, the reportees as on current date need to be shown for a manager.
Please advise whether this needs to be accomplished through MSS customisation or HR config settings. If MSS, please advise how this can be accomplished.

First off I want to thank you Siddharth for all your responses. Ultimately, your responses helped me get on the right path for resolving this issue.
I ended up taking this into debug and finding out specifically why these absences did not appear on the team calendar. I'd like to begin by indicating, in my opinion, this is a bug/programming flaw.
Within IF_EX_PT_ABS_REQ~AUTH_CHECK_AND_ANONYMIZE_DATA there was a check to determine if the rule group had the IT2001/2002 Authorization Check section, Employees: Deactivate Authorization Check and Managers: Deactivate Authorization Check boxes checked. For 1 out of the 3 rule groups configured, one group did not have those boxes checked, while the other two did.
What happened, is when the program built it's list of PERNA's that report directly to this manager, the first person in the list happened to be in the rule group that did not have the Deactivate Authorization boxes checked. However, the remaining PERNA's in the list were in another rule group that did have the Deactivate Authorization boxes checked. Based on my interpretation, the team calendar should have ommitted the absences of the one person, but should have displayed the absences for everyone else in the separate rule group. The code only reads what rule group the first PERNA in the list is and applies that MSS_NO_AUTHCHECK value to all the other PERNA's in the list.
Either the code should do a MSS_NO_AUTHCHECK lookup on every PERNA on the list or should check what rule group the approver/manager is in and apply it to all his employees.

which role should I give my manager/employee in the R/3 system so they got the right permission?
Now I have to add SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW to there profiles or I get error messages saying they don't have the right permission.

and my employee has rol com.sap.pct.ess.employee_self_service

mainitian the authorization for all role using tcode-pfcg, generate the profiles and completet the user comparisation.
if u don't have the full authorization for PFCG ask ur basis person to do this.
(this is usefull to RUN ESS from portal)
or if u used custom role than
make sure your user will need authorization object (S_SERVICE)
add this object in the Role that u used. (PFCG)

Check the following <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/5523">weblog</a>. It has some useful information about the parameters needed for BW integration. The error you are getting is from the portal appintegrator component, not from BW. So you should check the parameters you are setting.

ESS (Employee Self-Service ==> Career and Job ==> Appraisal Documents)
Please, is there any special step in back/front end for me do before use them?

Since I'm using the Flexible Appraisal and I have already activated only the business function CA_HAP_CI_1, my questions now are:
1 - Are there any ICF services to be activated?
2 - Do I need to activate any other business function?

Document Attachment via Manage Attachments

Hi All,
I am trying to find where I could customize the document attachment logic of RPM. The document is attached via Home->Universal Worklist->Manage Attachments.
Customization required is to rename all documents manually attached.
Are there any BADI/Enhancement spots for this requirement? I have looked on all existing BADI in RPM but havent seen any that would fit the requirement.
If this is not abap modification, is this java webdynpro coding?

- Is function module RH_GET_MANAGER_ASSIGNMENT only valid when a personnel user is flagged as 'chief position' in HR Org model ? As this function module uses MANASS evaluation path and A012 (Manages...) as relationship, can it be used without mentioning 'chief position' in HR Org model ?
If no, what would be the best solution to find out all employees in MSS (Manager Self Services) case using HR Structural authorizations ? Custom Evaluation Path and Relationship ?
- What is the major difference in Evaluation Paths : MANASS, MSSDIREC and MSSREPS ?

Can you add a new managed bean when customizing taskflows?

Hi,
I see post on how to customize taskflows and most of the customization involves rendering changes such as showing/hiding parts of the page..
But I was thinking is it possible to create your own managed bean in Customization Role of JDeveloper?
I notice that when I right click some package, the New option is disabled by default? Does this mean that customization is limited to changing
only the UI/JSFF file? The documentation does not mention about this or it maybe that I could not find it.
What I would like is that, the new managed bean I define in my Customization Role will drive the UI.
Anybody has done customization at this level? Would like to know your thoughts please.
Is this possible or should I point my thinking in the other directions?

This is a Webcenter Portal Application by the way and I am looking into customizing an existing taskflow thru MDS means.

You cannot add a new managed bean via customization. Instead, these may be deployed as ADF Library jars within a shared library or as part of the Portal war.
Once a managed bean has been added as above, then it can be referenced within a taskflow customization. For e.g. you can add a new button with the action set to a method in the managed bean.

Solution Manager 7.1 IT Service Management: IRT, MPT new status

I am wondering, if in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 IT Service Management I can customize new status into SLA measurement, for example 'Customer action' duration time at Web browser (similiar fuctionality as IRT(The initial response time) and MPT(maximum processing time)).[IRT & MPT|http://pokazywarka.pl/ysrkhe/]
Equally, new SLA status should be calculating duration for the other incident status for example "In process". If anyone has idea, please advice.
