  • UCCX System Prompt Multi Language Issues

    I have a Bilingual script running Spanish and English languages, the system is required to play Current date and Pricing and although the system was initially installed for EN_US, the customer wanted to add a second language option - ES_MX language.
    We modified the script, by adding the Menu option and Set Contact Info step for Spanish branch.
    All good, BUT Problem is after caller selects the menu option for Spanish, script plays spanish language until it gets to the System Prompt that is supposed to play back the Date of Today and Price for Today. It switches from Spanish to English, then goes back to Spanish and continues to play in Spanish.
    TAC recommended a reboot of the CCX engine, because they thought that the system is not refreshing the script when it comes to that particular code.
    Unfortunately that did not fix the issue.
    I also looked at these two links below:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2080962
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-13933
    Is this a system limitation, has anyone ran into this issue before, what was the fix?

    Here is a screen shot of the relevant code
    Thank You!

  • HTMLB multi-language issue after upgrade

    Hi all,
    We recently upgraded from EP5 to EP7. The R3 is still on 46c. On our purtal, we have a htmlb textbox that displays the Description of a Material In Local Language. This field was showing properly in EP5. But in EP7 it is showing scrambled characters. I have tried to set the encoding in the frontend to Unicode(UTF-8) and also tried Korean, but still the display is scrambled. How do I get the  description field to show the text in the actual language (for eg Korean)?

  • Multi Language issue with Invoice Printing

    I have a Custom Report for Invoice. Now it has been associated to a Concurrent Program and if I submit the request through SRS, I am able to see Report output.
    Same report I have associated to iReceivables application and invoke it from there (using custom PL/SQL APIs). On invoking the procedure with the same same parameter list as in the first case, I donot get any output.
    I have tried to see the log. The obvious difference I noticed is that on being submitted though the SRS, the NLS function returns a different Language code than when we see the request log of the case when it is being submitted through iReceivables.
    Any clues can be really helpful.
    Thanks
    Sumit

    First goto se73 and click on system barcode > then search for ur barcode name. if the barcode is a standard one, copy it into ur Z  barcode and increase the size of barcode and then test it. As chinese character's are 2-byte so probably the barcode length is small.

  • Creating a multi-language website on Dreamweaver-cs4

    Hi,
    What would be the best aproach to create a multi-language website ( max 10 html pages , not a portal ) on CS4.
    I had Joomla in my mind but I want to learn Dreamweaver way.
    Should create different folders for each  additinonal language and copy the default files  and edit them accordinly? ( Default will be English, Turkish and German might be other options )
    Thanks a lot

    Watch for site management issues.
    Here's a good reference: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/ora_dw_cs4_mm.html
    You might have a home page that appears in all languages, linking to each section of your site. Each section might be in a folder named like "IVFDeutsch" for the German version, etc., and the 'home page' for German could be www.yoursitename.com/IVFDeutsch/index.html so you would have an index page in each subsection.
    Consider using Templates, and a nav for each section that is presented in the language of the section, to treat your other language speaking visitors as well as possible.
    You have many decisions and possibilities..have fun with the site.

  • Multi language, how to approach this?

    Hi everyone,
    I have a website on which I want to offer multi language, but no idea what is the best way to do this.
    There 2 plans I have:
    1:
    Of course all content (text) is in a database.
    If a user would want a different language, the user would click on a link/flag, this would put the requested language in a session variable, for example: session.language = "es"
    In the database I would have 2 columns (every language has 1 column) and then select the text which belongs to 'es'
    Every page would then do a request to the database to get the text beloging to the session.language.
    PROS: Relatively simple to implement
    CONS: SEO wise I don't think this could be very good. http://www.domain.com/page.cfm would give an english text or spanish text (or other language). Google will not add duplicate URL's
    2:
    Do something with http://www.domain.com/en/page.cfm for english and http://www.domain.com/es/page.cfm for english.
    With a URL rewrite rule the language value in the URL http://www.domain.com/en/page.cfm would actually be a page http://www.domain.com/page.cfm?language=en
    The url.language variable will then select the correct language from the database.
    PROS: Unique URL for each language. Good for SEO and Google indexing.
    CONS: A bit more difficult to implement. (I think)
    Or does anyone have other / better ideas?
    Thanks!!

    You kind of mix two different considerations partially in your two options here: how to identify the language (mentioned in both points), and how the data is stored (only mentioned in the first one).
    We use the second approach for identifying which language site one is on, except we use a subdomain instead of an element in the path (eg: we have es.domain.com, fr.domain.com etc, rather than www.domain.com/es/ and www.domain.com/fr/).  However I think that's neither here nor there.  The rewrite is simple to set up, and a one-off, so there's no real penalty there.
    As for how the data is stored, we've got a bit of a hotch-potch depending on which text it is.  Structural stuff which is fairly static (eg: in the breadcrumbs the text saying "You are here") we have in .properties files.  Slightly more frequently "managed" text like SEO-sensitive stuff is stored in a slightly different text-file-based system, due to who maintains said content.  Other (more volatile) content still is managed via a CMS.  This is basically down to which dept manages which text (as well as legacy issues like different people having different ideas as to how things ought to be done,if I'm honest).  The text-file-based stuff is loaded once at app-start-up, and the DB-stored stuff is called as necessary (with some CF & DB-side caching depending on what it is).
    The text-file-based stuff is applied to a page in the way Steve suggests.  The DB stuff is just output as per normal fetched-query content.
    You might want to read up on how Java handles this sort of thing, to get a fairly coherent picture of an accepted / standardised approach to such things.  Start with http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/ResourceBundle.html and google "java ResourceBundle".

  • Multi language support for reports and prompts labels

    Is there a way to configure reports prompts labels with session\presentation variables,
    in order to support multi language interface?

    Deepak,
    It works fine..i have tested.
    Nir,
    Here is the solution for your requirement
    Requirement1
    I want to label the listbox with X, where X is either 'Categories' or 'Products'.1.In your rpd, create a new session variable init block
    Name : DynamicName
    Query: select case when ':USER' = 'USER1' then 'REGION1' else
    CASE WHEN ':USER' = 'USER2' THEN 'REGION2' end end from dual
    Assign the above query’s result to a session variable; DISP_NAME
    2.Double click on the presentation column(in presentation layer) that is supposed to change dynamically->check the box ”Custom Display Name” -> Type in VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION. DISP_NAME)
    3.With the assumption that you already have created a prompt with the above column, login as USER1, you will see the prompt label as 'REGION1' (value is fetched from the session block query).Similarly login as ‘USER2’ and check the prompt label to show 'REGION2'
    This solves the first requirement.
    Requirement2
    On the dashboard I would like to present the title: 'Report by X', where X is either 'Categories' or 'Products'.1.Navigate to your report in answers
    2.Add a column with the formula, case when VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.USER)='USER1' THEN 'Report by Categories' when VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.USER)='USER2' THEN 'Report by Product' else 'Your custom/default title’ end
    3.Add a narrative view to the report (remove the existing title view) and the give the reference as the column added in step 2.Save the report.
    4.Logout and login as USER1, you can see the report title as 'Report by Categories' and for USER2 , it will be 'Report by Product'
    Let me know if this solves your issue.

  • Production tips for multi language titles...Arabic plus others...

    I am teaching a DVDSP course with a student who will produce multi language titles. Arabic is the primary with French, German, and English as the alternates.
    I follow the scripting ideas to test for which language the users select but I have a question on the menu production process.
    Is it this?
    Set language on Mac to Arabaic-Author this menu set-likely 2-3 menus
    Save work
    Switch language set to German-Author the same menu sets
    Save work
    Ditto for French and English.
    Switch back to Arabic and finish the project.
    Or this?
    Graphic buttons with 3 states each for German, French and English? Accept the issues with layered menus.
    Happy Holidays!

    Michael Mizen wrote:
    Set language on Mac
    Sorry Michael, but what exactly do you mean by that? And why would you need layered menus?
    In my book there are three approaches to the task.
    First: create 4 language folders in the project for Arabic, French, German and English. Create identical graphics and overlays for each menu set, except of course text which will be different for each language. Import them into DVD SP and change project language for each set to put menus in place. Make sure your VTSM does not go over 1 Gig. Author the DVD.
    The only problem with this approach is the user settings on a DVD player. If the user never bothered to change from default English to anything else, then only English menus will be displayed.
    Second: Create all your menus (in different VTSMs if you like, especially if content differs. It is not necessarily to do so). Create "Master" menu with language choices. Branch from it to language sets. Use "Display condition" in the advanced tab for tracks and menus for navigation tracking. Saves tons of redundant scripting.
    Third: Script your menus for tracking and re-directing navigation to the correct language of user choice. The only way for Spec authoring environments such as Scenarist.
    Needless to say the menus should be created outside of DVD SP
    Good luck to you and your student, and happy Holidays.

  • Multi-language JRE via auto-download?

    It seems that the JRE installed via the auto-download cab file for Windows is not the multi-language version. If I install the JRE by hand and then launch my Web Start application, I have no issues accessing other encodings like JIS_X0201. However, if I use the auto-download feature described in the Java Web Start tutorial (using http://java.sun.com/update/1.6.0/jinstall-6-windows-i586.cab#Version=6,0,0,0...) I get an English-only version and end up with UnsupportedCharsetExceptions when I access other encodings.
    So, in short: Is there a way to get the multi-language JRE via auto-download?
    Thanks!

    Thats the GUI I am talking about
    Confirmation Needed - Print
    Print Request
    Applet would like to print . Do you want to proceed?
    Don't show this dialog box again?
    Yes No
    I want this to be in Portuguese, my native language.
    I changed the code like this:
    import java.util.Locale;
    import java.util.ResourceBundle;
    private String language = "br";
    private String country = "BR";
    Locale currentLocale;
    ResourceBundle messages;
    currentLocale = new Locale(language, country);
    messages =ResourceBundle.getBundle("MessagesBundle",currentLocale);
    ( I included )
    ( I algo created those files )
    MessageBundle.properties
    Dialog = Confirmation Needed - Print
    Title = Print Request
    Text = Applet would like to print. Do you want to proceed?
    Warn = Don't show this dialog again
    MessageBundle_br_BR.properties
    Dialog = Confirmao Requisitada - Impresso
    Title = Requisio de Impresso
    Text = O Applet deseja imprimir. Deseja prosseguir?
    Warn = No mostre esta caixa de dilogo novamente.
    Everything according to tutorial.
    But I did not understand how this change a dialog that came from the JRE!!

    Hello, I'll like to find out if I am able to create a multi-language form in Forms Central. i.e. English & Chinese or English & Arabic.
    If so, what are the different languages that I can type in?

    Hi,
    You should be able to create a form with all European and CJK languages, but FormsCentral may have issues with Arabic or Hebrew and other complext writing systems.

  • Question regarding multi-language installation

    Hello,
    I would like to know if there are any known solution regarding multi-language packages for the different Creative Suites that we can create using AAMEE?
    I was thinking to create a trial version with a serialization answer file after the installation, but I think I will run into issues using this method.
    Thanks for the help!

    Hi,
    Currently you cant create a single multi-language package using AAMEE. You will have to create a different package for every language. All the serial numbers will ultimately serialize the product in 1 language only. Even for serialization file approach you will have to create a trial package using AAMEE and trial packages are also language specific. If you have a multilingual serial number, my suggestion would be to create a serialized package for each language seperately and deploy them.

  • Lesson store: Language issue

    I am a French guy living in Japan. I purchased in Tokyo iLife 11, installed it on my imac in French language. iLife works fine and is all in French language except Lesson Store which remains in Japanese. I just can't make it appear in French (even though I used my French itunes account in the upper left corner of the Lesson store window).
    My Japanese skills aren't good enough to have a lesson in that language. Only lessons downloaded either in French or English could be OK.
    Can anyone of you know how I can fix this?
    Thanks!

    No, that won't work because you need a billing address in the country of the store from which you want to purchase.
    In other words, if you want to purchase from the French store, you need a credit card linked to a billing address in France, if you want to purchase from the US store, you need a credit card linked to a billing address in the US, etc.
    My suggestion: all users that are in this situation (e.g., non-German speaking people living in Switzerland) should ask Apple for a partial refund (say 30%) of iLife, because they are not entitled to the same set of functionalities as other customers, although they paid the same price. This might push Apple to do more sound work in terms of multi-language support across their various online digital content stores.
    Somehow, I hate to suggest this kind of collective action, but I've written several emails to Apple about that issue but never got any answer. And even after 6 years of existence, the swiss iTunes store is still almost exclusively in German (legal agreement, account management forms, Garageband lessons, most movies, etc.), whereas Switzerland has three (actually four) official languages...
    It seems that from Cupertino, old Europe is still seen as something weird, with all these languages. So forget about a country with more than one language. I suppose us Swiss people should be happy not to have our store in Swedish.
    This is sooooo disappointing from Apple!
    What was it again...? Ah, yeah think different?

  • Hello! Just a little spiff on multi-language input/output.

    I've had my blackberry for about 2 months now (recent Treo convert) and I LOVE IT.
    One thing I wanted to figure out was how to enable the Cyrillic alphabet on my Curve (I'm learning Russian, and will be traveling there). After paroozaling endless google sites, I figured out how, and figured I'd share how (not just for Russian, but for a number of lanugages) to enable the access.
    If you have an American Blackberry Curve, it will, by Default, come with one language support (American English), with the standard diacritical marks and ALT codes. If you'd like the be able to send, read, or type in any another available alphabet (which you'll have to check to see, I doubt the country of Georgia has quite opened themselves to the RIM world, so I doubt you'll find the Georgian alphabet available), you'll need to have multi-language support enabled on your device. To do so, you'll have to [on a Windows PC, as ridiculous as that is] re-install the BB software with Multi-language support enabled, as well as the language[s] of your choice selected. These upgrades can be downloaded from your respective service providers' websites (as they are the ones who put any restrictions of phone, sim, and language access).
    I have T-mobile, and if you go to http://www.tmobile.com/bbupgrade, you can find your device, download the application loader (or the desktop manager) and the upgrade. Just follow the prompts, select your languages, and you're done! BUT REMEMBER TO BACK UP YOUR DATA WHEN PROMPTED, OTHERWISE ANYTHING YOU HAVE ON THERE NOW WILL BE ERASED.
    I just thought I'd throw this out there. It took me a few days to even figure out how to do this, as every website either had no answer, or suggested I pay and download some third party software. That's all!
     OH, and I just downloaded this SWEET free theme that made all of my icons look like the iPhone icons! Which are about the only features of the iPhone I actually like. Well, that and the total internet. That's just rad.
