Multimapping (1:N) without BPM  idoc to file

Hi
I have a scenario in PI7.1 like source is idoc ,it should be splitted into 14 different files based on some condition.
I am doing this without BPM(1:N) message mapping and operational mapping is working fine.
Whent i am testing,empty files are generated means no values comming except the target message type.
Note: checked the most of the links and blogs but no help
Everything seems fine but not getting the values.Can anybody help. Can multimapping done with source idoc?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks
Prasad Nemalikanti

Hi Prasad,
It will definitely work and please see the jin for exactly the same scenario.

While testing in mapping make sure you put your payload within:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
   <ns0:Message1>
      <YOUR PAYLOAD HERE>
   </ns0:Message1>
</ns0:Messages>

  • 1:N mapping without BPM ( Idoc Receiver)

    Hi,
    I have a scenario like 1:N, source would be JMS and the receiver side have two Idocs with the same business system. based on one Item segment value, I need to route the input JMS message to corresponding receiver IDoc.
    INput Structure:
    Record
    Header 1..1
    H1
    H2
    H3
    Item 1..Unbounded
    I1
    I2
    I3
    NOte: Based on value I2, I need to route the message to corresponding receiver Idoc. like If I2=A then Idoc1 and I2=B then Idoc2. Can we achieve the same without using BPM?
    -Esha

    Hi,
    This can be achieved with Interface Determination conditions. Go for 2 mapping. And in Interface Determination put condition to check which mapping to use. No need of ccBPM.
    If you still want to go for 1:N multimapping please refer link:

  • IDOC --BPM--IDOC AND FILE

    Hi Experts,
    My scenario is idoc to idoc and file through BPM.
    so I hve one integration process and 2 receiver.The prob is frm IP it is pointing to only file not to IDOC
    1) 1 sender agreement
    2) 3 receiver determination
    3) 3 interface determination
    please help me out..

    Why are you using BPM for this?it is not good design.
    If you want to still use bpm then
    1)1 receive step,
    2)2 transformations steps(if or are executing Operation mapping in IP).
    3)2 send steps.
    check your BPM design and monitor Integration process work flow.

  • File sender adapter:FILE to IDOC without BPM, can't see in SXMB_MONI.

    Hi all
    I have a FILE - XI - IDOC Async scenario without BPM.
    I configured FILE sender adapter and IDOC receiver adapter. I made a mapping to transfer file data to the structure of IDOC.
    Now when i am trying to load the file using command prompt, i cud see nothing in the monitoring. Whereas if i go to the communication channel monitoring of runtime workbench, i saw that CC is polling correctly and was reading the file also.
    And also wen i saw in the processed folder which i mentioned in the CC configuration for the ARCHIVE DIRECTORY, i saw that file got transferred to the folder also.
    I don't understand why i cant see anything in the monitoring.
    Could anybody help me to rectify the problem. Is there anything i m missing ?
    Regards
    Naina

    Rajesh/Amar
    TCode:: SXMB_ADM->Integration engine configuration->specific configuration->runtime
    Trace_Level = 3 then you can get all MONI PIPELINE Steps also
    I did this change but cudn't see anything in SXMB_MONI.
    This is how i have configured my process:
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/FiletoMultipleIDOCSplittingwithoutBPM
    But instead of IDOC splitting i have simple FILE - XI -IDOC scenario.
    I have configured everything exaclty the same way it is mentioned here. But for me the process is not visible at all.
    I can't even see the first request message in the monitoring.
    This is the message i can see in the communication channel monitoring:
    2010-05-24 09:07:41 Success Channel CC_*: Entire file content converted to XML format
    2010-05-24 09:07:41 Warning Channel CC_*: Empty document found. Proceed without sending message
    2010-05-24 09:07:41 Success File "/xyz/ABC.txt" archived after processing
    Is there any problem with the file and that could be the reason it cant convert the file to the request message MT_REQUEST and thus am not able to see anything in monitoring.
    help me guys....this is a simple process and i m stuck...its frustrating

  • Message Split -- File to Idoc Scenario  -  ( Without BPM )

    I have multiple records coming to XI in a File and I have to create Multiple Idocs to R/3.
    Due to Complexity of mapping I'm splitting Maaping step into 2 message Mappings.
    A-->B
    B-->C
    In the 2nd Mapping step  I'm doing message Split meaning for each Source record I'm creating multiple Idocs ( To be precise each record on the source becomes 4 idocs in the Target.
    2nd Mapping step is as follows
    Source 1..1
      Sourcerecord 0.. Unbounded
        field1  0..1
        field2  0..1
        filed3  0..1
    Target
    Message 1
        Idoc   1.. Unbounded
          Idoc Structure..
    Message 2
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 3
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 4
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    So based on some criteria each record of Source will be mapped to 4 Messages (  1 each under each Message )
    Is it possible to do this without BPM?. Iam sending all these Idocs to same R/3 System.
    Thanks for any help..RK

    Hi,
    See the blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
    <i>Basicly we have 2 ways of handling such scenarios:
    - we can use a block step and send multiple IDOCs from our BPM
    - we can also do a little trick and send multiple IDOCs from the XI without a BPM
    The first approach is a standard XI approach. It involves the use of a BPM
    so the speed of this transfer many not be very good in case you'd like to send
    hundreds or thousands of IDOCs in just one call.
    The second approach uses a little trick that was mentioned several times
    on the XI Froum by a number of XI developers but is still not very clear to the XI newbies.
    It allows us to send multiple IDOCs without the use of a BPM. Most probably this will be your choice
    if you'd like to use such 1:N (IDOCs) scenarios effectively.</i>

  • Multiple files to idoc without bpm

    Hi
    I have gone through the previous threads and came to know that n:1 is not possible without bpm. But in case of idocs you can collect them in r/3 system itself using RSEOUT00 program. But if my scenario is like.......you have 10 files which are coming through ftp and we have  to send the idoc to the target system. Is there any way to do this scenario without bpm ??

    Hi XI friends,
    its IDOC to file Scenario..
    its daily scheduling report..if we run that report.....Number IDOCs are generated in SAP..
    we have 5 legacy systems..
    for one legacy systems file type is .txt file and for remaining xml files..
    the catagarization based on one of the field in IDOC..
    if that field is 01 the file type should be .txt file
    for others xml file..
    if that field is 01 then ..XI need to collect all the IDOCS into one .txt file for other values direct conversion into XML file i.e..each idoc gets into one xml file
    if that filed is 01..then XI need to collect all the IDOCs in that day into single .txt file and the fileds are Fixed lenghts...and at the same time ..that idoc contains number of segments ..if any Idocs doesnt contain some segments..ther should be no more blank lines...each segment should placed in new row...and also..for some segements ..XI should collect into seperate .txt file....
    please help me....how to achive,,,,,,
    regards

    in this case BPM will be required to collect the IDOCs ref: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/content.htm
    base the correlation on the field that contains the value 01
    also then later using XPATH in your receiver det. you can check for the value and route the message to the particular receiver as u want to

  • How to send 100 records from an IDOC to File Scenario without using BPM?

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement that i need to send 100 records from sap to file by using the scenario IDOC to File. Can you suggest how can i achieve this?

    Hi,
       Create a H type RFC destination.Tagert host and port give  Xi system host and port.Path give the
       /sap/xi/adapter_plain?namespace=<NameSpcae>&interface=<Interface> &service=<SenderBusinessSystem>&qos=EO or EOIO.
    Go to we21 find xmlhttp port.give the port name and assign RFC.Give the port in we20 your idoc and change to collective.

  • BPM Idoc collection without calling the mapping in BPM

    Hi Expert,
    I have an IDOC to file scenario in which source side I have to collect multiple IDOC and map it to a single file .I am achieving it through BPM . at present I am using one multimapping and calling this mapping in the BPM under transformation step its working  fine  but due to some constraint  , Now I want to achieve it using BPM but without calling the Mapping in the BPM i.e I don't want to use Transformation step in the BPM. Is it possible ????
    Regards,

    Hi Saurabh,
    If that is the case it is preferable to collect the IDocs in ECC and then send them to XI at one go.

  • IDoc Collection in BPM and Without BPM

    Hi All
    I'm much confused on IDoc collection for which i require your expertise to clear my doubts. My primary question is based on the context "Multimapping doest work with idocs".
    consider the case ->  collect files-idoc scenario. <b>Using BPM</b> i need to have
    a multimapping scenario. In the <b>transformation step</b> we will have a <b>container</b> element where <b><u>mutiline</u></b> is enabled so that the collected files are <b>transformed into one abs interface</b>. my dopubt arises here when i consider this scenario <b>without bpm</b> that is N:1 mapping (no collection). in this case why this <b>multimapping works in bpm process</b> and <b>not incase of non-bpm scenarios</b>? is it because in bpm the mapping happens in BPE?
    pls clarify.
    thks
    Prabhu

    <i>>>>>In an N:1 scenario without BPM, how could you send more than one message to your multi-mapping? You can't.</i>
    yes we cant as this validation is not supported at abap stack level and N:1 is possibkle without BPM (or i'm missing something here). but this same step with bpm get executed succceffuly. whats the logic behind it

  • Idoc to file multimapping

    I want to split single sender idoc to 3 messages using multimapping to send to target system. I heard that multimapping is not possible if idoc is at receiver side. is it the same for idoc at the sender side?

    Hi Suresh,
    There is a good example how to do so called "multimapping" with IDOCs. In your integration repository go to software component: SAP BASIS. There a several samples for different problems.
    When using MultiMapping without BPM, all messages need to be Compulsorily created in the target side
    Check the following blogs.
    1:N mapping without using BPM --> IDOC to multiple files   --Refer the answer Given by Bhavesh

    For IDOC as receiver ,
    Multi Mapping with IDOC adapter have 2 Options,
    1. Use a BPM , an d do a 1:N mapping and then have 2 send steps for each idoc.
    2. Have multiple Inbound Interfaces in the interface determination and use 2 separate mappings for this.

  • Error handling in File - XI - SOAP scenario without BPM

    Hello!
    We have a File -> XI -> SOAP scenario without BPM. The problem is that if the Web Service sends back an error XI tries to reprocess the same message again and again instead of taking the next one.
    We do not want set the retry interval to NULL because most error cases are temporary connection problems and then also those messages would not automatically be reprocessed any more.
    We also have to use BE instead of EO, otherwise the Web Service will not return a response. But we need the response to be sure that the processing was successful. The message volume in this scenario is quite high and we do not want to use BPM only for the error handling.
    I know that from SP19 some additional adapter modules are available for async - sync scenarios without BPM. I tried to configure it like described in File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19. but it did not solve the problem. Does anybody have any other ideas? Thanks.
    Regards, Tanja

    Hi Tanja,
    >>>The volume is 3000 messages/day on business days and 700 messages/day during weekends but the traffic will increase in the future
    I think, you should check that out. It is assumedly only 2 days work to build a scenario:
    IDoc -> BP
    BP <-> SOAP/HTTP
    BP -> IDoc (Acknowledgement)
    In the process you need a condition branch, where you decide success or not. You need 2 Interface Mappings for filling the ALEAUD.
    Just send 1000 IDocs to the Test-XI and look to performance monitoring at Runtime Workbench, to find out, how many message will be processed in one hour. Assumedly 3000 and more per day should be possible. The advantage would be to reduce number of systems (no file system) and messages (better monitoring) and using the standard (better maintenance).
    >>>So you are suggesting I should use HTTP adapter and then add the SOAP header manually in a mapping?
    Yes, build the SOAP envelop during the mapping. Most easy is to use XSL or, if your mapping is ready, an additionsal XSL. You can put the error into the Acknowledgement to see it in ERP transaction WE02.
    Filling of ALEAUD fields:
    E1ADHDR/MESTYP: original message type
    E1ADHDR/E1STATE/DOCNUM: original IDoc number
    E1ADHDR/E1STATE/STATUS: 68 in case of error, 53 in case of success
    E1ADHDR/E1STATE/STATXT: Short description for R/3 user what has happend
    I ve done such a scenario several times. That works without any problems.

  • BPM Collect Pattern:File to IDoc

    Hi,
    My scenario is File to Idoc. An invoice excel file will be sent by the vendor.The excel has a built in macro, which converts the excel to a csv file and file is placed in a file share server.
    *Logic of Macro: *
    There will be a button in the excel file containing macro. In one excel file there would be multiple invoices that contains different number of item lines, The macro checks the u2018Invoice Numberu2019, lines with the same invoice number will be saved in one CSV file. So for example a excel file contains 5 invoices, when press the button that contains the macro, there will be 5 CSV files created under the same path, each CSV file contains one invoiceu2019s information.
      After this I have to post the Inovices in to SAP using an IDoc.
    So, I am using BPM collect pattern to achieve this. In the collect pattern,  I see a correlation defined on one of the source fields,  What does correlation exaclty do in my  case. Let's say I have defined a correlation on Source field called Invoice number.
    BTW I am using FCC on the filed adapter to change the CSV(Invoice) to xml
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Hi
    to use Xpath for your receiver det. ref these blogs;
    a combination of logics should help you in this case ...
    Customise your 'XPATH' Expressions in Receiver Determination
    XPath to show the path (Multiple Receivers)
    File to Multiple IDocs (XSLT Mapping)
    Try removing BPM from ur scenario.
    1:n could be achieved without BPM

    I am working on jms to IDoc scneario,my requirement is to convert one JMS messge in to 2 IDocs(DELVRY,MATMAS) to ECC , i searched in SDN to achieve this requirement without BPM, i found one blog,but its saying its not possible to use multi mapping scenarios with out BPM in IDoc
    what is the best approch to achieve my requirement without BPM.

    is it true that multi mapping not going to support IDoc scenarios??
    Yes it is true that IDOC does not support multi-mapping....this can be proved if you look into the help section which shows the list of adapters supporting multimapping....IDOC is missing from that list....do not get confused between Idoc Multimapping and IDOC Bundling.....IDOC bundling means bundling IDOCs of same type...however you are looking for IDOCs of different types.
