Multiple component instances for one component usage

Hi,all
How can I create multiple component instances for one component usage.
I'm using the following code for creating a single component instance for specific component usage:
if(c_Usage.hasActiveComponent())
c_Usage.deleteComponent();
if(wdContext.currentContextElement().getSelectedTab().equalsIgnoreCase("Registered"))
c_Usage.createComponent("health.gov.registered.Registered";);
I can't create one more component instance for
IWDComponentUsage c_Usage
cause I have to delete the component instance associated with this component usage.
Any idea how can I do it anyway?

Hi,
To create another instance of the same component you need to embed the same component under the Used Components more then once. For Example if you have Componet A to which you want to embed Component B then under "Used Components" of Component A add component B twice.

So... Apex request ---> HTTP SERVER AT Port 7777 ----> Apex Listener with weblogic.
So the question is:
1) is it possible to HOST another APEX INSTANCE on the SAME SERVER using this existing listener?

DBA_REGISTRY.VERSION show only 3 digits after downgrade for one component

One customer has downgrade their database from 10.2.0.5 to 10.1.0.5, and at the end checking the dba_registry they found that for one component, OLAP Analytic Workspace, the version is in a format of 3 digits only, instead of 5, like for other components:

Is there any known issue for this 3 digit version?

Not sure if this would cause any problems for the applications (possibly only a wrong update in data dictionary for the version of OLAP in downgrade scripts).
Have you faced any problems due to this?

How To Install Multiple OBIEE Instances On One Linux Machine

Hi,
OS: Red Hat ES 5.2
OBIEE : 10.1.3.4
We one development server(Linux) where one OBIEE 10.1.3.4 was installed with os user as 'ora1a' (Deployed on Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4)
and now I have installed OBIEE 10.1.3.4 on same Linux Server with different user(ora2b) and different mount point (Deployed on Another Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 )
But My OBIEE was not working and I came to know that only one can be working by default.
After following few notes i have update NQSConfig.inc and odbc.ini with different ports ie from 9704 to 9725 and bounced BI server and presentation server
But still its not working can any one tell me what are all needs to update to make it work

See my first OBIEE instance URL is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7777/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on Application server 10g(OAS1))
and second one is http://hostname18.oracle.com:7778/analytics (As i deployed OBIEE on another Application server 10g(OAS2))
Also My port for first OBIEE instance is 9704 and second one is 9725(Which i changed to this)
Now tell me what are all i should update

Multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to implement multiple free goods for one item in standalone CRM.
As per SAP.help.com, it says that we can configure multiple free goods scenario in standalone CRM system.
We tried to set up this in our system. Basically we want to implement the scenario, where a user wants to purchase item A, he should get a prompt for choosing between two free goods B and C.
We did the relevant IMG settings required for Free goods at IMG ->CRM -> Basic Functions -> Free Goods.-> Set up Free Goods
We also did the relevant item category determination where we have made an entry with
Item Usage = " Free Goods" , Main item cat. = "TAN' , Item Category = "TANN".
Now we went to create condition records in the path "SAP Menu -> Master Data -> Prices and Conditions -> SAPCND/GCM - Maintain condition"
We chose Application ="PRT", MaintenanceGrp="PRT_FGOODS", Maintenance context ="GCM"
Then while creating conditon records , when I try to create two condition records where the Main Product is same but free good product is different, the system is not allowing to save these two condition records.
it is giving error "Overlapping validity periods for two condition records".
Please advice, if i am missing something. Thanks in advance for your help.

Constraints in free goods in R3 taken from SAP library
Free goods can only be supported on a 1:1 ratio. This means that an order item can lead to a free goods item. Agreements in the following form are not supported: u2018With material 1, material 2 and material 3 are free of chargeu2018 or u2018If material 1 and material 2 are ordered at the same time, then material 3 is free of chargeu2018.
Free goods are not supported in combinations with material structures (for example, product selection, BOM, variants with BOM explosion).
Free goods are only supported for sales orders with document category C (for example, not quotations).
Free goods are not supported for deliveries without reference to a sales order.
Free goods cannot be used in make-to-order production, third-party order processing and scheduling agreements.
If you defined a free goods for variants in a generic article (only SAP Retail), you can only process the variants in the purchase order and goods receipt individually (as single articles). In other words, you cannot process them using the generic article matrix.
This answers your qn Not possible in R3
If you are on Retail scenario this is possible thro bonus buy schemes
But a lot of customizations needs to be done and you need a retail server to do that

we have a business requirement that to issue multiple free products for one main product, if the upliftment is beyond the specified quantity.
Using free goods functionality, is it possible to achive the above requirement.
e.g                                                     Quantity

is it possible to maintain such data thru free goods or any development needs to be done.

Is it possible to show or view multiple album artwork for one song on an iPhone 4, especially on the now playing screen? I figured since iTunes has this feature then the iPhone should too. Can I download an app that does this? I've searched but couldn't find any, maybe I'm using other keywords. Could anyone point me in the right direction with this?

Multiple Lease Duration for one DHCP Scope?

I have an urgent question. I wanted to know if it is possible to have many lease durations for different computer groups getting their addresses from one DHCP scope. I saw somewhere that it is possible to use User Classs or Vendor Classes for setting a lease
duration for a group of computers sharing the same class Id ?
If it is true, How can to configure ?
Also i would like to know about the lease duration period what is the maximum days can we have ( 8 days After )?

You can configure any value as lease duration; however if you want a very big/infinite value; it makes sense to convert the lease(s) to a reservation.

Multiple db connections for one report

I am using Oracle Reports 10g R2. Could someone tell me if Oracle Reports supports multiple database connections for one rdf file, like this (using servlet)

No, you can only have one login.
However, this is simple to resolve by creating a database link in one database to the other database.

Multiple addresses for one address usage type?

Hi all,
I was always under the impression that you could have only one address selected for a given time period for an address type. And when I try to add multiples in my system, I can only do so by ensuring the validity dates do not overlap.
But then I ran across a statement in the SAP Business Partner document that makes me wonder if you can configure it differently such that you can have multiple addresses valid at the same time for a given address usage.
Per the document [http://help.sap.com/printdocu/core/Print46c/en/data/pdf/CABP/CABP.pdf]:
"If you have assigned several addresses to an address type, the first address entered is marked as being the standard usage. If you wish to define a different address as the standard usage for an address type, select the desired address and choose Standard usage."
Can someone confirm or deny that it is possible to have multiple addresses active for the same validity period for an address type?
And if it is possible, what is the configuration setting that allows it as such?

Yes. It is possible to have multiple addresses of the same type for the BP and you will nominate one of them as the standard address for that address type during the actual address creation.
To configure go to
SPRO -> IMG -> Cross App Components -> SAP BP-> BP -> Basic Settings -> Address Deterrmination -> Address Types
When you set up your address types here there is a column which denotes if it can have multiple addresses or not.

How to set Focus for one component on Dialog

_textField.requestFocus()When Dialog show, it always focus at first component, not at the component i set.

Perhaps Swings threading ruins your focus request, and trying invokeLater may be worthwhile...
Note that [requestFocusInwindow()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/javax/swing/JComponent.html#requestFocusInWindow()] is to be preferred over requestFocus according to the API docs.

Assign Multiple Sales Org for One Plant in STO process

Hi Experts,
Aware that I can assign multiple sales org to 1 plant (relationship: many to many).
I am trying to create STOs to supplying plant and assigning them to different sales organization but encountered problem.
Example:
Supplying Plant 1000 - Sales Org 1000A (food) and 1000B (apparel)
Receiving Plant 1100
Plant 1100 wants to issue 2 STOs to Plant 1000 - 1 for each Sales Org (for instance STO1 to food division, and STO2 for apparel division).
However, when I tried creating STO in the system, noticed that in the shipping tab (item details) the sales org, DC has been assigned to 1 particular assignment and data is locked.
Tried to get into SPRO to configure and define the shipping data for plants but noticed that it's 1 to 1 relationship (SPRO - IMG - MM - PO - Set up Stock Transport Order - Define Shipping Data).
How can this be done?

You can set different sales areas (~sales organisation) for one plant in SAP - based on issuing SLoc provided STO between storage locations is activated.
SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up Stock Transport Order > Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations > Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations

2 SCM 4.0 Optimizer instances for one SCM system as high availability?

Can we install more (i.e. 2) seperate SCM 4.0 Optimizers and connect them both to one SCM Server system?
If yes:
1) Can/will the SCM Server system used both optimizers?
2) If one failes, can/will the SCM server then just use the one still running

Since optimizer is just exe.file, you can install several optimizers<engine> (put exe.file into
different location <folder>) and it should not be in same HW. And in the IMG customize you can priolatize Optimizer engine. So system can use several engine depending on the priority (or for some component like CTM, you can specify engine and run CTM in parallel with using different CTM engine for different objects.
And I know 1 company who install 2 CTM engine into 2 servers for high availbility solution (This means active server A has 2 CTM engine/ stand by server B has 2 CTM engine).
To use fail over scenario with several server, I think you need to define following customize in SCM system.
T-CD /SAPAPO/COPT01 (Define directly and engine name)
T-CD /SAPAPO/COPT00 (Check availbility of Server)
<Also RFC definition should be correctly customized in SM59).
