Multiple errors in Apex 3.1.1 help (EBS mod_plsql issue?)

Hello everybody,
I am having a couple of problems with the online help in Apex and I cannot figure out how to solve them.
First problem:
Whenever I open the help from the Application Builder I get an error "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /i/doc/bldr_hm.htm on this server", but if then I start browsing the help index, all the pages show without errors. Also if I try to access directly in my browser the page indicated in the error above, the page shows fine. I get the same behaviour also when I select the "2 Day Developer" guide in the select list, that is the first page accessed gives a Forbidden error, but all the pages I access after that are working fine.
Second problem:
Whenever I click on the Find link, Apex outputs the following error:
ORA-31011: XML parsing failed ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
LPX-00104: Warning: element "HTML" is not declared in the DTD Error at line 2
Error creating online help index.I browsed the forum for this kind of error, but I found it only mentioned together with Web Services. The error seems to show that an HTML document is fetched instead of an XML one and I think it may be connected to the first problem (who knows, maybe the indexing routine is getting a forbidden error instead of the expected XML file).
In the Mod_PlSql logs I see error messages like
10.200.95.2 - - [04/Jun/2008:14:19:26 +0200] "GET /i/doc/bldr_hm.htm HTTP/1.1" 403 227and also
[Wed Jun  4 14:19:26 2008] [error] [client 10.200.95.2] client denied by server configuration: /tszo/comn/portal/tszo_erp01/iI am using Apex version 3.1.1 on a 9.2.0.8.0 database and as the HTTP server I am using an Oracle 9i Application server from an Oracle E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 installation. The error happens both with 3.1 and 3.1.1 Apex versions.
It may be very well a mod_plsql configuration issue, but I don't know what may be causing the problem and why it's happening only the first time I access the help page.
Is there someone able to shed some light on this issue?
Thanks a lot,
Paolo

Hello everybody,
our great Apps DBA Ivo Zekhuis solved the issue, so I would like to report the solution for others that may encounter the same problem.
He just added the following line to the DAD for apex in file $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/modplsql/cfg/wdbsvr.app
cgi_env_list=SERVER_NAME=our.server.name,REQUEST_PROTOCOL=http,SERVER_PORT=8000,HOST=our.server.name:8000and it solved the problem. As a nice side effect, this change also solved another issue that we were having with flash charts not working.
I want to remember that in our case Apex is installed in an E-Business Suite 11i environment, using the main application server as the Apex web server.
Thanks again, Ivo!

  • Error -10401 AI Clock Config Problem - HELP! Hardware issue I believe

I'm trying to use a VI that was created on another PC but will work exactly how I want it to.... that is if it ever works. I know I'm getting this error because I have a PCI6110 card and it doesn't support clock configuring (I'm not sure what this even is but).
Is there a way to modify the AI library to get rid of the clock configs or is it easier to just swap boards assuming that is feasible on my end.
    Thanks
    Tim

    Tim,
The PCI-6110 should allow you to configure the sample clock, but this
error will occur for a number of reasons.  Most likely is that it
is trying to refer to a device that is not available on your
system.  To see if the device is working, first check Measurement
and Automation Explorer for basic functionality using test panels (My
System >> Devices and Interfaces >> DAQmx Devices or
Traditional NI-DAQ Devices, right-click on the board to access the test
panels).  Once you have determined that the board is correctly
functioning there, make note of the device number.  If it is the
only device on the system it should be dev1.  Next make sure that
your program does indeed refer to the correct device.  If you do
have the correct device selected and still do not get the desired
behavior, you might try to open an example program (Help >> Find
Examples, Hardware Input and Output >> Traditional DAQ >>
General) and running it to see if you get the correct behavior.

Did you keep any kind of external references to your pages/reports? From what it looks like, one of your report regions exceeds 2500 characters and APEX is having a hard time crunching it. See if you can find that page, then export that page, delete the region, and import the page on it's own later.
Not sure why it would be such a small area, though. I usually don't have any trouble until I hit 32K characters.

    Hi,
While refreshing the WEBI Reports would recommend you check the WEBI PROCESSING Server's last changed date from CMC--> Servers.
Check when you are refreshing the reports, do you see the time stamp changed of WEBI PROCESSING servers?
Do you keep getting this error messages for all WEBI reports? Can you re-produce this with simple e-fashion reports as well?
After that go to the node where WEBI PROCESSING servers installed and check on the event viewer details if you see any relevant error messages.

    Thanks

    Lines like this:
Failed to get IWbemService Ptr for \\localhost\root\Microsoft\appvirt\client
simply means that for that particular client, that wmi namespace does not exist.  I suspect that namespace does not exist on that particular client because for the specific client, it does not have the APPv client.
or like this: Failed to get IWbemService Ptr for \\localhost\root\vm\VirtualServer    means that for that particular client, it does not have Microsoft VirtualServer installed (which you MIGHT have on a server, maybe).
anything like that can be easily ignored and explained.  the only reason to care about those would be if you absolutely 100% KNOW that the namespace root\vm\virtualserver does exist on that client, and it does have instances, and then you are wondering
why it's not reporting.  then maybe you would be concerned.  Otherwise, your log file looks perfectly fine.
So; what problem are you trying to solve?

I just recently have been getting multiple errors in photoshop CS5 64bit.
When loading a large file while another file is open I have gotten and error: "not enough space" or "not enough scratch disk space" this does not happen often.
When using the liquify function I can only perform a few brush strokes before I will get an error: "not enough space" or "not enough scratch disk space" The same error will repeatedly occur, then say on another file it will display a the other error repeatedly.
On another larger file with about 17 or so layers. It would not fully render the tint color that I had chosen, but if you look at the photo I am currently working on through Lightroom it will show the tint. Same file, using a layer mask while painting in some color I got the "not enough scratch disk space" error and could not continue to work on the file. THEN I could not save the file, I got an error "Not enough memory".  The only way to get it to save was to resize the document down by 1000px, which means I can no longer print as large as I would have liked. It takes about 5 to 7 minutes to save the file, using .psd file type. While viewing task manager under the performance tab it was only using about 5.5gb of ram when I have 8gb and I also told photoshop to use 85% of my ram and utilize 2 scratch disks. By the time I finished the photo I had to resize it down by 2500px just so I could get it to save.
I have tried to clear my computers temp files, while in there I did not see any photoshop temp files, which there should be because photoshop tends to crash sometimes while i am closing it. I have defraged both my drives scanned for viruses and all that and nothing has improved.
This problem just started recently, I have changed nothing when it comes to file sizes and the way I edit my photos. These .psd files range from 1GB to 2GB.
I have 2 scratch disks set for photoshop and to use 85% of my ram.
Computer: Windows Vista 64bit 8GB RAM 3.4GH quad core processor.
Does anyone know of anything that could possibly help me? It would be GREATLY appreciated!!
    Thanks,
    Brian

anyone have any ideas why I am getting these errors?

  • Multiple Error Messages, starting With 500 null Error

I've been experiencing multiple error messages with
ColdFusion 7.0 on Ubuntu Linux/Apache2 for the past several days,
starting with the 500 null error (see
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=f9e312a2),
which ocurred on only part of the site (a set of forms requiring
remote login). Now, the following errors are appearing on various
CF forms: "An I/O error while manipulating the sort index" and "An
exception occurred when setting up mail server parameters" and
finally, "No space left on device." All these errors are occurring
on add/edit forms and cffile upload forms that were working fine a
few hours ago and that haven't been changed.
Right now, I'm replacing the license.properties file to deal
with the 500 null error. My question is, has anyone else
experienced this smattering of other error messages in conjunction
with the 500 null error? Or fast on the heels of it? What's the
deal with the 500 null error, anyway? Has Adobe made any progress
    with this issue?

Okay, this is a followup to my previous post (
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=143&threadid=1165765&en terthread=y).
Replacing the license.properties file isn't sufficient in
addressing the 500 null error. We are running Ubuntu Linux. I
understand that I need to replace jvm 1.5 with jvm 1.4.2. I'm
honestly not sure how to detect on Linux which version of jvm is
running or how to make sure that version 1.4.2 is what is running
when we reinstall ColdFusion. If someone could help me with this,
I'd appreciate it. The 500 null error is eating my Web site like
the Langoliers. Even some static .cfm pages are failing now.

  • Ichat can't connect to my AIM account, gives me the error "Cannot log in to AIM. General error. Try again." Please help!

ichat can't connect to my AIM account, gives me the error "Cannot log in to AIM. General error. Try again." Please help!

    HI,
Your specs say OS X 10.6.8 which would be iChat 5.x.x in Snow Leopard.
This version by default tries to login in to the AIM server called login.oscar.aol.com on port 5190 using the TCP protocol.
An internet connection is made up of 65535 of these so called ports (more like TV stations)
Most routers have ports up to port 1024 which means some of the iChat Login Ports are above this.
    Two ways to Solve this.
    1) Change the Login port iChat uses
    2) Change the way the router opens ports.
For 1) go to iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts
    Highlight/select the AIM account.
In the Info Tab deselect the "Enable this Account" to make sure you are Logged out.
In the Server Settings change the Port to 443
You can decide not to use SSL as well if you wish  (the server name automatically loses the leading "s")
For 2) log in to the routers set up pages and make sure it is doing UPnP
This allows the computers  to tell the router which ports to open. It also allows multiple devices to use the same ports.
For iChat this allows it to Screen Share as this happens on an unlisted random port.
Opps  forgot a couple of things.
If you are using an APple ID registed at Apple ending in @mac.com @me.com or @iCloud.com then the passowrd at Apple has to be 16 characters or less to work with the AIM servers.
Additionally the iCloud issued @me.com and @iCloud.com one require you to use iChat 6 in Lion or Messages in Mountian Lion due to changes Apple made to the security of letting AIM "read" the passwords.

Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

I am connected to the internet through a Verizon Wireless card, that is my regular internet connection.

I did all that HT1925 recommended and it was no help.  My computer still won't recognize my iPhone.  Often trying to start Apple Mobile Device Service fails with an error message that it starts and then stops immediately.

  • Multiple Errors While Attempting to Sync

When I attempt to sync my 2nd generation iPod Touch (iOS 4) with my iTunes (v 9.2), I receive multiple errors: Can not copy song due to unknown error 0xE800400C, the device has timed out, and an internal device error occurred. I have tried just about everything, including:
    - Restoring the iPod
    - Uninstalling everything apple related and reinstalling iTunes
    - Paying $99 for a replacement iPod
    - Using a different USB device to hook it up
    - I don't use any fancy add-ons, so there aren't any to remove
    - Turned off my firewall
I can't find any other advice to use. Help!!

I wish I could be more specific on my answer, however I cannot find the original place that has the answer.
I think the two main fixes for this is
1: go to device manager and look under "universal serial bus controller"
1a: look for two "USB Enhanced host controllers" (make sure it has enhanced)
1b: if you only see one USB Enhanced host controller then move on to 2
1c: if you DO have two of these, then be sure you have access to a mouse that you can connect that does NOT use USB, or a track pad (such as on a laptop)
1d: disable one of the USB enhanced host controllers by right clicking it and hit disable, (this may cause and usb devices such as keyboards or a mouse to stop working)
1e: try to sync your ipod.
1f: if it fails enable that enhanced host controller and disable the other.
1g: if it works either either of these configurations great, though you may run into some corrupted applications if you have transfered purchases in the past, these will need to be deleted and redownloaded.
    2. Update your bios, if you don't know how to do this you probably should not attempt it on your own. Perform any available windows updates, then call your computer manufacturer and ask them to help you do this.

    Hello,
Within the "Search for Candidates" page, when doing an open search, we only receive one candidate. Also with transaction code SLG1 there are multiple error logs stating that a candidate could not be found.
What does the error message mean and how do we resolve what is causing them? If resolved will we get a full open search within the "Search for Candidates" page?
Specific error: No candidate could be found for NA 50003803.
The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_CANDIDATE============CM003 line 345.

  • Multiple errors with SuperDrive

I've had my G5 since late 2006 and didn't do any major change to it or to the SuperDrive (DVR-110D) since. But in the last few months, the burner has been somewhat erratic, giving me error messages and trashing DVDs. I'm still able to burn most of the discs, though.
I've updated from Toast 6 to Toast 9 and added 4 GB of RAM, but the problem is still there. The drive will stop a few times during the burn and, most of the time, will continue to burn, but sometimes it won't. I've tried burning at 12X and 8X but no change. Since the beginning (and even with my G4), I always used Sony DVD+R and never had major trouble with them.
Some messages I get: BUFFER UNDERRUN, POSITIONING ERROR DETECTED BY READ OF MEDIUM, WRITE ERROR, INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE and the latest INVALID FIELD IN CDB, SESSION FIXATION ERROR - INCOMPLETE TRACK IN SESSION.
    My questions are:
-Should I update the firmware of the drive to correct the problem?
-If the drive is dying, can I simply swap it for the latest DVR-118 and MacOS X will still see it as an "original SuperDrive" ?
-Should I consider an external FireWire LaCie burner?
    Thanks!

    Hi-
Since the beginning (and even with my G4), I always used Sony DVD+R and never had major trouble with them.
    Makers outsource.
    Media batches change.
Using a different disc (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden) is worth a try.
    BUFFER UNDERRUN
Can be caused by too many processes running during burn, corrupt files or inadequate hard drive space.
    WRITE ERROR
    Most commonly a media error.
    INTERNAL TARGET FAILURE
Hard drive space inadequate, corrupt or improperly prepared files.
-Should I update the firmware of the drive to correct the problem?
You have multiple errors, possibly multiple problems.
You could try an update, which should help with media errors.
-If the drive is dying, can I simply swap it for the latest DVR-118 and MacOS X will still see it as an "original SuperDrive" ?
In OS X 10.5x, plug and play.
In OS X 10.4x, plug and play with Patchburn.
-Should I consider an external FireWire LaCie burner?
    No.
This would complicate matters and should not be necessary.
I would work on clearing drive space, repairing hard drive directories, burning after restarts, trying a different media, and a firmware update.
If after this conditions aren't improved, you will have at least prepared the system for proper use of a new drive; i.e. hard drive free space and hard drive health are key to successful burning.
