Multiple Holiday Calendars for an employee

Hi
We have a requirement, where an employee works for various clients in a month/year. Whenever he moves to a new client, that client holiday calendar should replace the existing for that period only.
Eg: Client XYZ has holiday calendar1, calendar 2, calendar 3 in location 1, location 2 location 3 respectively...
If employee is in location 4 with calendar 4, Supports the client XYZ location 1 his calender 4 should be replaced by calendar 1 for that employee.

In this case employee is not physically moving to a different location, from the same location1 he can support client 2 or client. and moreover Clients and client locations cannot be a part of Enterprise structure.
In my opinion, this is not a simple scenerio, it certainly needs some development

Multiple books/calendars for one order - one shipping charge?

Hi,
I'm about to order a few books and calendars at once.
I saw one other post that mentioned (back in '07) that seperate items still ship seperately.
Does anyone know if this is still the case? I don't mind if shipping is more b/c the weight will be different of course, but I think it's silly to ship x amount of different pkgs.
Also, any idea how long this takes? I forget as I've only done 1 before and we're leaving for vacation next week. I could send them to my sis-in-law too.

There is no way to combine shipments (they may not even be printed n the same plant for all I know)
I'd use the estimates on their web page for timing - In Northern California I received great service using standard shipping twice but I would not want them laying on my doorstep for a few weeks while I was on vacation so I'd either use expedited shipping or your sister in law if it were me

Problem with holiday calendar

Hi Experts,
I need to configure different holiday calendars for worker and managemnet employee group in the same personnel area and sub area.I am not able to configure this as under "Set work schedule rule" node we can specify only holiday calendar per personnel area and sub area.
Please let me know if there is any way to achieve this.

Actaully i was talking about view V_001P_M. in this view when we maintain holiday calendars for personnel area and sub areas, infotype 0007 will show (in search help) only those work schedule rules which has got the same holiday calendar in it.
example:
I have already created two calendars say ZM for management and ZW for workers for personnel area (say) MUMB and personnel sub area (say) 0001. i have assigned ZM holiday calendar in V_001P_M for PA MUMB and PSA 0001.
I have also generated two WSR with ESG grp 1 from Management and 2 for workers. WSR for management is generated with ZM calendar and for workers with ZW calendar.
now when i got to infotype 7 to assign workschedule rule for a worker in same PA and PSA it display only 1 workschedule rule in the serach help which is for management (coz i have mentioned ZM in V_001P_M). Now how to assign woker's workschedule rule?

Adding a past holiday in Holiday Calendar

Hi,
We have a Holiday Calendar for our organisation. However, 14th April being notified later was not added in the Calendar. I want to add it now in such a way that the IT2001 (which is already updated as Not Marked for all the employees for 14th April) is overwritten and 14th April is reflected as a Holiday.
Pls give me step by step procedure to do so.

2. Assign it to the holiday calendar - SCAL
3. Re-generate the work schedules - PT01
4. Run report RPTUPD00 to revaluate the absence records - SE38
4. Run the batch input session - SM35

Problem in generating Holiday Calendar

Dear All,
I have created Holiday Calendar for 2009 through SCAL. After that I had generated work schedule rule through PT01. But after generating work schedule, 19th Oct,2009 which was marked as public holiday in the calendar is not coming as an OFF day in work schedule.
Please suggest how to rectify this error.

Hi friend
First please check your Holiday Calender. See whether the holiday is assigned to your holiday calender and make sure that you have assigned to your personnel subarea grouping and employee subgroup grouping. Once you finish that, please run PT01. After this go to PT03, give the correct information like the employee grouping, holiday calender, personnel subarea grouping and work schedule rule. Give the current year 012009 to 122009 and select the ALV list and display the information. If all the specified information is given correctly, it will work.

the error clearly saying that you dont have holiday calendar for 01.01.2012,, so please change it using PT02 to avoid the error.
then you check what exactly system is doing.
you have to create a wsr with one month extra validity than the exact periods required to avoid the future errors as you are getting now.
system always takes one month extra validity it is standard functionality.

I have to maintain Public Holiday Calendar for 2009. For that I have maintained the holiday dates in Change Public Holidays. Please guide me as to how do I assign these holidays which I have maintained to Public Holiday Calendars being used in different PSA's?

for appearing in the holiday calendar of 2009, the Validity year of ur holiday calendar should contain the year 2009. say,
Valid Fr.year 2008
To year 2010
For the day to be a OFF day u have to re-generate the existing work schedule as i mentioned earlier. Only then the new holidays assigned to ur holiday calendar will be taken by the Work Schedule.
U must give the same Holiday class to ur new holidays (Same that u used to create ur earlier holidays to avoid confusions......)

For that group, you need 2 counting rules:
- one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 0 (not a working day)
- one for Holiday Class 0 (not a public holiday) and Day Work Schedule Class 1 to 9 (a working day)
If you want, you can add an other one or two for Holiday Class 1 to 9 (public holiday)

My boss is receiving notifications for every employee's calendar. How do I make it stop?

The company that I work for uses google calendar for scheduling appointments, meetings, ect. Each employee has their own calendar. Additionally there is a "master" calendar that is maintained by our office assisstant. The calendars are shared and everyone in the company can see each calendar. The issue that my boss has described to me is that he is receiving notifications for each of our calendars and the master calendar. For example... when we have our Monday morning meetings and all employees are scheduled to be there there is a meeting posted on all of our calendars as well as the master. An hour before... he receives eleven notifications of the Monday morning meeting. I have both my personal google cal and work google cal synced with my iPhone and I do not experience this problem. Neither do the two other gentlemen in the office that I have approached with this issue.
Here is what I know:
I have two google accounts added to my iPhone including my work account and do not receive multiple notifications of an event.
My boss has five accounts, not all of them google, in his iPhone. One of them appears to be set up as a google sync account.
I double checked his notification settings in google cal and he does not have notifications/reminders set for any calendar other than his own in the calendar settings.
He has shared notifications turned off on both his device and on his iCal.
I would appreciate any advice or guidance on this issue. Thanks in advance!!

There's a fault with the blocklist.xml file which was updated on Friday, it should be fixed on Monday and you should get the updated file on Monday or Tuesday.

My daughter and I both have iphones. I created an account (not separate itunes) for her on my computer so she could sync her phone/itunes but not have it interfere with mine since we have WAY different taste in music. Creating a different computer profile should work if you have separate itunes accounts, too.
If you all use the same itunes account, you can turn on Home Sharing. That way you can all download the same content without having to pay for it again. Not sure how or if that works with separate itunes accounts.

After last icloud backup, unrequested by me public holidays in the UK have been marked on the calendar and I can't find how to delete this. Also, I have been trying to delete a birthday from the same calendar for months and it keeps reappearing.

Also, I have been trying to delete a birthday from the calendar for months, this time using all variations of 'delete' and it keeps popping up again!

Are you also restoring from your backup? That sounds like what is happening or someone else has your Apple ID.
A backup to iCloud would have no way to add UK holidays to your calendar. Open Calendar, tap on Calendars at the bottom middle of the page and untick the ones you don't want.
