Multiple IP addresses in Listen Address in Managed Server.

Hi All,
I want to have couple of IP Addresses in Listen Address field in managed server config. How can i do that?
Actully i have weblogic installed on solaris host which has multiple IP and i want to put all those IP in Listen Address.
Any Idea?
Regards,
B

Leaving the listen address undefined will bind to all IP addresses. For more detail, see the listen address docs here:

Alternatively, I believe you could configure additional network channels, but it's probably not required in your situation.

  • Multiple email address with one server account

Why can't Mail have multiple email addresses on one email account? Like Thunderbird calls them Identities. As I remember, Outlook also supports this. I like Mail but it seems rather dated and clunky in this respect.
I am using mainly IMAP so maybe I should switch to Thunderbird but I do still have some old messages in pop accounts in Mail.

You can have multiple accounts, but only one "identity." Configure new mail accounts for all the different email addresses you may have. They can each have different configurations, different servers, etc. as well as be individually made active or inactive. All incoming mail will funnel into a single Inbox, but you can use rules to transfer incoming mail to separate mailboxes based on the account.
What you cannot have are distinct "personalities."
Bear in mind that Mail is intended for a single user and the vast number of single users only have one email account. I actually have four different email addresses but three of them are set to forward mail to the account I use with Mail. Mail works quite well with IMAP, POP, and Outlook mail accounts.

  • Question About using multiple email address w/ IMAP server

With apple mail in the account settings you can put multiple email address separated by a comma. This allows you to select your from address when sending new mail.
I have added this to the iphone mail settings but I dod not have the option to select what address I would like to send from. Is there a way to do this.? Thank you.

No, no chance of specifying a different FROM address unless you use the "Other" shortcut on the iPhone to create the mail account.

  • How do you set up multiple IP addresses on a web server?

I have a block of 8 fixed IP address, 5 are useable for websites. I have a netopia router and I would like my server to be able to host several different sites using a secure server. I know you can only host one secure site for one fixed IP address. I have been using one IP address and hosting virtual domains up to now. I don't know how to set the router and the server up to make this work. Everything I have tried has failed. I have tried IP mapping and passthrough but I can only make one IP address work. Not multiple. Any advise would be appreciated.

Since you're looking to host multiple SSL sites, no matter what you do you're going to need to setup multiple IP addresses on your server.
I would NOT recommend running the server at your edge - there are valid reasons for using firewalls and NAT devices. Instead, configure your server with multiple private IP addresses (192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, whatever you prefer).
Then, in Server Admin, configure your SSL web sites. Bind each one to a specific IP address.
This is different from your non-SSL web sites, which presumably have 'any' as their IP address.
Then setup your Netopia router to port-forward port 443 on each public IP address to the corresponding private IP address on the server.

  • Doesn't Managed Server's sip channel support udp traffic by default ?

    Hi All,
I am new to the WebLogic Server. I have tried to set up a Managed Server via an AdminConsole of BEA WebLogic 9.2.
My configurations in config.xml are as shown below. In the AdminConsole, I could startup the Managed Server successfully. However, when I generated a SIP message (to the listening port of Managed Server, which is 5068) using sipp, the Managed Server could not receive the sip message.
When, I used "netstat -a" to check listening ports. It showed that the Managed Server (Server-5) listened on tcp port 5068 but NOT on udp port 5068. And, since my sipp generated a sip message to udp port 5068, the Managed Server could not obtain the sip message.
I read the online document and it states that when a channel is created for a server, it will automatically support both tcp and udp traffic. Therefore, from my understanding, the Managed Server should automatically listen on both udp and tcp port when it starts up. In fact, I have checked that my Admin Server listens on both udp port and tcp port (in this case, port 5060).
I doubt that I may miss something in the configuration of the Managed Server. I woud be appreciated if someone could enlighten me up.
    Kind Regards,
    Kirati

I simply forgot to load a sip-container service to my new created server..

  • Managing multiple email addresses for the same contact

    Hi
I have set up a group so I can email multiple people at once using the usual method. However, when I put the 'xx group' in the Bcc, it mails them fine, but where I have more than one address for the contact, it picks one without asking me.
How do I set it so it always chooses a certain (main) address? For one, it sent it one of two addresses I had listed as 'home', on another it sent it to an address I had listed as 'work'.
They also appeared in different positions on the card, e.g. it is not sending tit to the first one it sees on the card.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    Mark

    found the answer somewhere else:
When sending a message to a Group and a Group member (or members) has multiple email addresses, the following was copied from Address Book Help.
Choose Edit > Edit Distribution List.
Select the group whose addresses you want to manage.
Click the pop-up menu (column header) to choose which type of information you want to manage—phone number, email address, or street address.
Select the address or phone number you want to use for each member with multiple addresses or phone numbers.

  • Multiple Email Addresses don't seem to work in Profile Manager

I have an email account that has multiple email addresses that filter into it.  I have previously been able to configure this directly on the device by entering two email addresses in the address field, separated by a comma, which had to be pasted into the field since the keyboard did not allow it.
I was hoping that as I moved to Profile Manager to manage my device configuration, this would make it easier to manage these settings.  However, when I enter the same into the address field in the profile manager, the profile is pushed to the device, and the device is subsequently unable to send email (Asks me to look at the email settings).  It also does not allow me to select a from address, which leads me to believe it is interpreting the whole field as a single address.
Is there a good way to setup an account that allows sending from multiple from addresses using the profile manager?

Unfortunately, I just tested it again, and it's still not working.  I did check the outgoing mail settings, and those look correct.  Moreover, the settings look like they would if I had typed them myself into the device, except they are greyed out because they came from the profile.
So a few more details/questions which may or may not help...
    - Does it matter if there is a space between the email addresses? I have tried it both ways I think, but right now I'm testing it without a space.  (i.e. Email Address: [email protected],[email protected])
    - If I turn Auto BCC on - then in the BCC field it shows [email protected],[email protected], -- if I then try to send an email, first it prompts me that it looks like an invalid email address and am I sure I want to send.  If I click OK, it finally tells me it cannot send the email, and that I should check my email settings.
    - Does it matter what kind of profile this is in?  I'm currently configuring this as part of settings for a particular user, but wonder if it might work if I configured it some other way (such as setting multiple email addresses for the user elsewhere, and then using the setttings for everyone).
    - For clarification @Eldrik - you are tying the email addresses into profile manager, right, and not for example leaving it blank to type into on the device?
    Thanks,
    Chip

  • How to make 9iFS' NFS Server listen to multiple ip addresses?

    Hi,
We have solaris 2.8 box with 2 ip addresses. NFS Server(9iFS) is running as secondary server(port 4049). Is it possible to make NFS Server listen to both ip addresses?
I tried to add both ip address to IFS.SERVER.PROTOCOL.NFS.Localhost(STRING_ARRAY type) but doesn't work. But if I define either of ip address as a value of IFS.SERVER.PROTOCOL.NFS.Localhost (STRING type) it works.
    Any idea?

  • How to configure multiple IP addresses on one NIC?

    Hi,
I just installed a OVM Server in version 3.2.1 and the according VMManager. Now i wanted to try to configure the Server/Server Pool. Now i come across a problem, which was already a big problem in OVM 2 while configuring the Networks.
All our OVM Servers have three NICs in them. One is for VMs and Management, the others are for connection to our SAN (Dell PowerVault MD 3220i). My problem is, that due to the network setup, the two NICs for storage need two IP addresses in two different networks each. This shouldn't be a problem, because usually in linux all you have to do is configure something like eth1:1. I remember having huge trouble configuring it in our OVM 2 cluster up to the point where I had to write a shell script to configure the second IP.
Anyways, I have configured two of the storage networks on eth1 and eth2 of the VM Server. Now i cannot configure any more IP addresses, because eth1 and eth2 are not available anymore for configuration in a third network. I really hoped that it would be possible in OVM 3 to configure multiple IP addresses. And probably it is only my lack of knowledge of how to configure it.
So any advice is well appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Marek Hubatka

You should be able to do this by using "VLAN Groups".
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35328_01/E35332/E35332.pdf
Check out the VLAN groups section. You must great the VLAN groups before you can assign them to interfaces.

  • How do I setup multiple IP addresses?, How do I setup multiple IP addresses?

Just bought a new Mac Mini and Lion Server to replace my company's three 15-year-old 8500s.  Ooof.  They were running mail, web and filemaker servers, respectively.  We have AT&T DSL Small Business, and five static IP addresses.  Lion Server claims to be able to run all that simulateously on the same new computer.  But, I can't find specific instructions on exactly how to configure the two websites to listen for their respective, dedicated IP addresses.
The mail server is up and running (I copied the appropriate server settings from the old OSX 10.3.9 server computer), but I can't find where to add my other assigned IP addresses for my two web sites.  When I add the names of the sites in the setup window, the only options I can see are the two ethernet addresses (one wired and one wireless) of the actual computer itself.  Thanks in advance for your help.

You don't need a "Gigabit router". It's way, way overkill (and $$$$$$) for your network.
The Comcast link is going to max out at about 15-20mpbs, so any router with 100mpbs links is going to be more than sufficient.
As it happens, I wouldn't get a router anyway. Comcast are going to provide you with a router (they need to in order to terminate the RG-58 cable connection they drop and provide an ethernet port (that ethernet port, BTW, will be 100base-T).
What you really need is a firewall. One that can handle multiple public IP addresses and allow specific incoming traffic (e.g. the FTP servers).
I would recommend something from NetScreen. You may be able to pick up one of their NetScreen 5GTs pretty cheap now they're end of life (I have several of these around my network, including one in the exact same configuration you're talking about here). Failing that the SSG-5 would be sufficient.
They also have the advantage of being able to run as a VPN endpoint should you need that functionality.
At the end of the day your network topology would look something like:
Comcast router -> (NetScreen) Firewall -> Switch -> Clients
All the clients will connect to the switch and can talk amongst themselves at gigabit speeds. Any internet traffic would pass from the switch to the firewall and out to the big bad world.

  • How can I use multiple email-addresses with "Administration Email Address"

What syntax should I use to have more email-adresses in the screen "Manage Service - Instance Settings - Email" after the field "Administration Email Address".
    I tried:
    - '[email protected]','[email protected]'
    - '[email protected], [email protected]'
    - '[email protected]; [email protected]'
    - "[email protected]','[email protected]"
    - "[email protected], [email protected]"
    - "[email protected]; [email protected]"
    Every time I get the ORA-29279 / 501.
Please help me with the right syntax for multiple email-addresses.
    Thanx!
    reg.
    Chris

From a google search of the docs, it looks that that field is used as a FROM address... hence it's by definition only one address.
Administration Email Address - Defines the "from" address for administrative tasks that generate email, such as approving a provision request or resetting a password.

  • Product enhancement for SOX compliance to allow multiple email addresses

Currently SBO version 8.8 oly allows a single email address for each contact to synchronize with Outlook.
Contacts routinely have multiple email addresses which should all be enabled to synchronize with Outlook. by limiting to a single address in the contact record, the activities in the contact records will be missing critical history which may be requred for legal requirements onder Sarbanes Oxley and other legal reporting requirments for document retention requirements.
Section 302 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires the CEO and CFO of a public company to personally certify and attest to the accuracy of their company's financial statements contained in periodic reports. Section 404 requires auditors to certify the underlying controls and processes that companies use to reach financial results. Both sections require proof that a company's reported financial information can be relied on - and require companies to invest in procedures that ensure information is recorded and managed in a trustworthy manner, including email. As an organization's dependence on electronic mail continues to grow, the mismanagement of email provides a growing target for litigators and regulators. Companies must ensure that records in digital form are managed with the same care and attention as records in paper form.
Business records must be protected at all times from unauthorized tampering and deletion, more so when a company is involved in audits, investigations, litigation or other formal proceedings. It is therefore of primary importance to copy and archive data before a user has a chance to manipulate it or delete it. Companies must ensure that directors, management and accounting personnel in particular, are informed of their obligation to preserve business records

you are correct, the only way to be able to send to multiple addresses for the same person in a group is to create one card per email address, with a code for the name as in john doe1, john doe2, or play with prefix, suffix or middle name fields to differentiate each card. to date there is no other way around this issue.
    hope this helps.

  • Ability to add multiple email addresses to the same contact person

    Hello SRM Experts,
    I have a question in SRM 5.0
In "Personal Data" tab of "Employee Data" in Manage Business Partner, we have the ability to add multiple email address. But only one email can be selected as standard.
We have a new requiremnt that more than one email address has to be selected. Which means, when a bid invitation is published, the email notification has to go to all the email addresses from that list.
    How can this be achieved?
    Any information would be appreciated.
    Thank you

By default the system send intimation to only one email id to the contact person.
If you want to be send to the multiple email id for a contact person. you need to implement the same in the BADI..
Try to find the BADI which is called on save of Bid invitation. You can check of the 'Published' status in the BADI method and fire the emails as required.

  • Do I need Open Directory for multiple email addresses for Calendar users?

    Hey all,
I have a single mac mini which I use simply as a calendar server for +/- 20 users. One day I might use Profile Manager to manage their iOS devices too. On the initial installation, we enabled Open Directory, although I'm not sure that it's required, and we have no plans re using it to manage network logins etc aside from existing calendaring.
I'm working through a migration from a Lion Server.app install to Mavericks, and due to some data corruption issues, we'll probably just rebuild the server and reimport the users calendars.
On my existing Lion Server installation, I can still use workgroup manager to assign multiple email addresses to calendar users, so that when a user invites another user to a calendar event using any of their email addresses (we have several variations), the invitation still gets pushed to the correct calendar user.
On Mavericks, without installing Open Directory, it seems I can't do this (I've downloaded Workgroup Manager for Mavericks, but it obviously can't connect to a local open directory). If Open Directory is optional, I'd rather not install it, to avoid overhead and complexity, but I still need a way to manage these multiple email addresses (aliases doesn't cut it).
    Any ideas / suggestions?
    Thanks,
    D

For Calendar server to send actual email invitations to an attendee, two things must happen:
First, you need to configure Server.app > Calendar > Enable invitations by email.  Enabling that will bring up a wizard dialog that will step you through the IMAP and SMTP account settings.  The default values in that wizard will tell Calendar server to use the local Mail server (which you then would have to configure to use the appropriate SMTP relay, etc.).  Or you can change the wizard settings to refer to an external IMAP and SMTP server.  It is wise to use a dedicated IMAP account for Calendar server's use -- don't go using someone's personal IMAP account because there might be some "undesirable interactions", let's say.  If you need help configuring this for, say, a Gmail account, I can help with that.
Second, the email address for the attendee must *not* be known to Calendar server, i.e. it should *not* be in the Directory.  As you probably found out, if Calendar server sees that the attendee has an email address that is in the Directory, the attendee is considered to be "local" and the invitation will be delivered directly to the attendee's calendar client.  If you simply leave those other email variations out of the Directory, Calendar server will consider that attendee "remote" and will send an actual email with a special attachment that calendar clients can understand.
    Hope that helps.
