Multiple ISAs

Hi all,
It's been a while since last time I attempted to integrate EDI in BizTalk. I have been very busy with other projects, but I really need to understand how BizTalk processes EDI from multiple EDI partners within the same file. With that said, I'm including
some data I used to process coming from our VAN.
Could somebody please help me understand how I would be able to process the attached file? below is the data. I used to process this file using an EDI translator, a mapping software, and some VB6 and Fox Pro programs.
Thanks in advanced.

This will be a new BizTalk integration. There is nothing in place. I'm starting from zero.
When I say how would I process it, I mean the following..
I believe I had already explained on this forum how I used to do EDI with another EDI translator, but if you ask me.... how would you process it the way you used to do EDI, this is how I used to do it.
1. Data is received within the same file and sorted out by the EDI translator to the proper trading partner.
2. Once sorted, within the individual Trading Partner entities, a 997 (good or reject) is generated and placed in the Outgoing documents.
3. Next, the individual EDI 850 maps read the data and populate it into a temporary DB table.
4. A program (C#, VB.NET, etc.) kicks in, which further analyzes the data(price, quantities, customer on hold, etc.) against customer info in the production DB to flag it as good or invalid. This step is performed so that an E-mail is
sent back to the Trading Partner informing of invalid data, if found.
5. Next the good data is imported into the production DB.
6. After the data is processed, the 997s are sent.
I'm oversimplifying the entire process, but those are some of the steps.
My point is... if somebody asks me how I did it from start to end, I can definitely explain every step from receiving 850s to sending 856s, 810s, etc.
I have watched BizTalk Training videos and read some articles and books on this topic, but I have not been able to find one that explains how to deal with more than one trading partner, receiving and sending back.
Hope the experts here can help me with this.
Thanks in advance.

  • Multiple ISA's in a single file while batching outbounds

    Hi,
    Here is a peculiar scenario.
We have few customers which send PO through a third-party TP. Though we get these files from a third-party vendor, the orders will still contain the acutal customer sender id's. So we have configured a single Trading partner setup in B2B for this third-party vendor and before we feed the file to B2B, we are flipping the sender id(TEMP_TP) in ISA segments, so that B2B can identify and process the file.
While sending the outbounds back to B2B, we are over-riding the ISA SenderId value using Internal properties from BPEL from the common TEMP_TP to actual customer sender ids. This is to avoid the development of external pos-processing logic to re-flip the TP to individual customer names.
We have also enabled time-based batching for this trading partner. However when B2B batches the outbound file, it creates MULTIPLE ISAs for each sender id and writes all of them in a single file.
I understand that there have to be multiple ISAs if there are more than one Sender id, but my problem is i don't want to have multiple ISAs in the single file. Is there any setting to be done for each of these ISAs to be created in different file. I would like to have only one ISA in a file though the batching is enabled.
    Please suggest
    Thanks,
    Phani

    Eng,
    Thanks for your response.
When we send each ST/SE segment to B2B from BPEL, we are overriding the ISASenderId property by setting a value in Internalproperties.
This value will not be same if the order belongs to different customers. So when such orders(ST/SE) with different Over-ridden sender Ids are being batched in B2B(they will be sent to a single TP) , it creates a single file with multiple ISA segments, by batching all the ST/SE belonging to one senderid in each ISA.

  • How can I get Total Number of messages in an EDI Interchange

    Hi All,
I am migrating a solution from Covast EDI to native BizTalk EDI and ran into an issue. In Covast when an Incoming interchange is debatched some of the properties like The total number of messages in an Interchange is saved into the XML of the debatched
message. I am trying to find this value in Native BizTalk EDI.
How can I determine this value? I only see the InterchangeSequenceNumber property which is only the sequence number of the a message in Interchange.
    Thanks!

My first advice in situations like this is the double and triple check that this requirement still exists and it is driven
by the business.  This is great opportunity to refactor some unnecessary complexity out of the solution if you identify it.
Assuming it is a valid and verified requirement, how you approach depends on the composition of the Interchange.  Meaning, if you receive single ISA...IEA blocks with a single GS...GE, you can use the max of BTS.InterchangeSequenceNumber.
If you receive multiple ISA or GS's, it's a little different.

  • Number of Messages in an Email Folder

My email account is IMAP with all the messages kept on the server.  When using the Droid Email app to view messages saved in a folder, it will not display all the messages in that folder.  I'm only able to see the most recent ones and I can't figure out how to gain access to the older ones.  Since the messages are saved on the server, all I am downloading is the list of message headers and I can't figure out how to obtain the full list of available messages.

  • CSS keepalive for Exchange 2003

I am load balancing multiple ISA servers with a pair of 11506's - with Exchnage 2003 running behind them.
I am not to fimilar with Exchange 2003 so I am not really sure how to customize a script that will validate whether the mailbox services are running correctly.
I was just curious whether anyone had any suggestions or links to good information on customizing css scripts.
    Thanks

    Nick,
Unless your clients are accessing the Exchange server using POP or IMAP, all of the client <--> server communication happens on TCP port 135. Unfortunately, TCP port 135 is used by all Windows OSes and is not unique to Exchange (so its availability isn't an indication of mailbox availability).
If you wanted to get creative, you could try to monitor the state of the Exchange services using SNMP or WMI. This would require you to send a "raw" request from the script. The raw data would have to be captured from a sniffer.
You can find some good examples of sending raw data in script keepalives here:

  • Vpn site to site isa 570 to asa 5505 multiple local lan

Hello, i have configured a site to site vpn with a asa 5505
In the tunnel will pass the network 172.x.x.x/16 and 192.168.x.x/24 from local isa to a single lan 192.168.x.x/24 on remote asa
I have create a group network address and i put the the default_lan and the other lan in it
In the tunnell configuration i have use this group address with local lan parameter
When the tunnel was up in the routing table i view the remote lan on interface ipsec0 but also i view the local lan on  interface ipsec0
Is this configuration n ot supported?
    Thank best regards

    Hello, thank for answer.
The problem is that tha second lan is a routing static lan.
The ip address of ISA is 172.16.10.254/16 and the default_lan is 172.16.0.0/16
The second lan is 202.1.1.0/24 and it is a staic lan on another gateway.
When the site-to-site ipsec go up in routing table i see three route on interface ipsec0:
The remote lan, the default-lan (that is also on default interface. Behaviour?) and a subnet lan 172.16.10.0/24.
If i ping from a lan pc an ip of subnet 172.16.10.0/24, i see that the arp is equal at mac-address of ISA and i have a problem on the lan. It's normal?

  • Multiple sites on CRM-ISA web proxy IIS

    Hello,
We're upgrading to CRM v6 (2007), with Internet Sales / Web Channel B2B in scope. As part of the system landscape, we have a Windows server running IIS acting as a web proxy.
Now, the question is, can we share this web proxy so that it works for multiple sites?
We would like to put the Dev and the QA CRM systems to both use the same web proxy, which would have two sites configured in it.
Has anyone done this before? Success or fail? I could not find any docu from SAP telling whether or not this would work.
Also are there any requirements for the version of the IIS?
    We're currently on Win2k / IIS v5 but are going to Win2003 / IIS v6.
    Thanks and Regards,

You need to change which URL the site responds to under the 'Aliases' section.
I haven't seen this anywhere else, so I hope this will help someone along the line...

  • SAP ISA - multiple sales organizations

    Hi experts,
I have a quick question about the old SAP Internet Sales R/3 with a b2b scenario.
Is it possible to configure xcm such as customers can browse a unique catalog composed of several products from multiple salesOrg (2 salesOrg actually). The other option would be to let users browse 2 catalogs, both linked to their own salesOrg.
What would be the best option to achieve this ?
    Kind regards.

    Hi Loic,
I don't see any use of XCM here to achieve your requirement. I think you can achieve it funbctionally.
    Thanks,

  • CRM ISA R/3 Edition on AP 7.0  Pricing Routine Number range error

    Hi Experts,
For our R/3 ISA Secenerio I have developed a Pricing Prepare Routine (PRP). I have uploaded this routine into AP 7.0 ( which runs my IPC 5.0). Now when I try to register my PRP routine I'm not able to do so because of Number range not defined for Application V Scenerio A and Routine Type PRP.
    My question are:
<b>1)</b> For a PRP type Routine( Multiple Implementation) is it important to assign a
routine number?    ***( according to pricinguserexit manual dummy routine no
                                      has to be assigned)******
<b>2)</b> If yes then how can i assign Number range for this combination.
NOTE: AP 7.0 has SP 7 ( So it fullfills requirment for Special scenerio)
I have never recieved a reply for my query from this forum... hope someone helps this time. <b>:)</b>

  • Multiple PO's created for a SC with a Single line item except delvery date

    Hi Experts,
I have one issue ... SRM - Classic scenario
One Shopping Cart created with one line item ... but generated two PO's EX - First one  - A and Sec - B
Almost the  data is ame except the delivery date .
There can be a possibility that it was splitted into two PO's .. I will accept it ... but the problem I am facing is different ...
When I am trying get the PO details in SRM side .. using Tcode BBP_PD ... I am able to see two PO's ...
But when I am trying get the PO details using the FM - BBP_PD_PO_GETDETAIL .. here I am able to see only one PO that is B here ...
I am not able to find PO - A in SRM Side ...
    But I can See in the backend sys .. R/3 ... TWO PO's (A and B) are available ......
IN backend system we are having one Report Program Which will display the Shopping cart number for the perticular PO number ... when I am trying to execute this report to get the Shopping cart number for A Purchage Order ... I am not able to get the Shopping cart number ... message is Shopping cart does not exist ... in this program we have used the standard FM only ... there is no problem with this report ...
My Question is Why I am not able to see the first PO ( A ) at SRM end  ... there is table where the PO's get stored at SRM end  BBP_PDBEI .. in this table also I can see only the PO - B not A .
1.Please let me know what can be the problem ... and guide me to find the PO at SRM end ...
    2. Why the Shopping cart converted into Multiple PO .. when thr is only one line item ...
    3. I think PO cannot be split into multiple PO's based on Delivery date ...
We have not done any splitting criteria in our system ... everything is standard only ...

    hi Hari
only one PO is possible . check the item both are same or not.
for eg. one sc created and went to cockpit for vendor assignment - PO will created from purchase rside
in the mean time end user change the material in the cart via check status and assign valid source of supply and PO will create.
1 sc- 2 POs created in my past experience.
and deleted which PO i dont like.
in BBP_PD you can not see PO docs, since you are in classic ? you can see if it is order as direct material since PO will create in SRM  though it isa classic..
what really happened in your system,
po split for delivery date means how did you get different dates.

  • R/3 ISA B2B:  Catalog Views

    Hello experts in the group,
I need to create catalog views for R/3 ISA B2B application. I have to use cross division 00 to handle multiple sales areas and I want to address these divisions using catalog views. I already have one of the four product catalogs that we would need, in place.
I have tried to use followed SAP Notes:
696095: ISA R/3 4.0: Collective note on Catalog Views
695978: How to create function modules for ISA R/3
677319: Coding sample assignment of customers to views
677320: Coding sample catalog item assignments to views
610393: Example for using catalog exit after read
    and
Note 837119, that was referenced by SAP Help but I could not find.
Problem is, despite spending all that time and effort, I am not able to make much headway here. I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here and tell me how to create a catalog view. I needs to reference this catalog view to a few layout areas and items in the product catalog, and then assign it to a webshop where a customer (who has access to the web shop) can see only these products that are contained in the view.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Biren Bugati

    Hi Biren,
I simply went to t.code SRMO (Search Server Relation Monitor) and went to <i>Index Category (index)</i> tab. There I searched for all indexes and painstakingly deleted each one, one by one by clicking "Delete Category." I'm not sure if this is the right way to do it, but it worked in the end. After deleting all indexes when I executed ISA_CAT_REPLICATION tcode, instead of error code 2007, I saw a green indicator light, and "No documents in deletion pending status" text.
The TrexAdmin tool that I am using is Python based and delivered with TREX itself. Its in /sap/usr/trex<instance_number>/python_support/TrexAdmin.py
You can find more info about how to launch and use this tool here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/3f/d4ae0fc46e1d1ee10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps.
By the way, I didn't know about ISA_CAT_REPL_DELETE and TREXADMIN tcodes. Do you have a list of all ISA-relevant tcodes?

  • Outbound EDI X12 document with multiple ST transactions segments

    Hello all.
I am STILL using Oracle B2B 10.1.2.3 MLR 16 and need the ability to send outbound transactions (EDI X12 856 4010) with one ISA envelope and multiple ST segments. When I enqueue the 856 to the IP Out queue with multiple ST's, B2B does not generate unique ST Control #'s and the segment count is doubled for the second ST loop. Is it possible to get an accurate segment count with the MACRO's?
If this is not possible, will someone please help me understand the batching process. I have followed the instructions in the B2B_TN_012_EDI_OutBound_Batching.pdf file, but I am getting very generic null pointer errors in B2B.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
