Multiple recipioent SMS - E90

My apologies if this has has been asked before.
When I bought my E90 in July 2007 it had a feature whereby when drafting an sms one could select "Add Recipient" then the contact list would come up, one then checked all the boxes next to the names one wanted to receive the message, and then in the top right of the screen was a button, I think marked OK which took you back to the message with all the recipients now added to the message.
I upgraded the software about 4 months ago because it seemed to be running slow, and I recalled that a software update fixed the go-slow problem on my E60. Indeed the software did fix the go-slow, however on the sms function, although i can still "Add Recipient" the OK button from the top right is gone. so if recipients are checked there is no way to exit that screen and get back to the message. if I use the back button, all the added recipients are dropped.
I updated today to the latest software version hoping this was a bug and it had been fixed, but no such luck.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this, or am I condemned to another long wait with a number in my hand at Nokia to hear the latest round of excuses...

I've just tried it on my E90 (FW 210.xxx.xxx) and it works fine. Add Recipient has an OK button, and I can select multiple recipients...

  • Multiple recipient SMS failure

When I send out an multiple recipient SMS from my IPhone 4s to my daughter's Verizon Env 3 and my son's verizon IPhone 4s, only my son receives the message.  When I send a single recipient SMS to my daughter she can receive it then only.  What's going on here?

        bolterdude,
    Good afternoon!
I want to help get this working properly for you. Is this a standard SMS/Text message you are sending? Or is this an MMS/Picture message you are sending? If a picture message, the file size may be too big to receive as @Ann154 suggested. When it sends from your 4S to your son’s 4S, is it being sent as an iMessage? Is the EnV 3 newly activated to your daughter’s line? Please go into Settings & Tools>Phone Settings> Security> ENTER LOCK CODE> Restrictions> ENTER LOCK CODE, then confirm the ‘Messages’ settings are all set to ‘Allow All’ to ensure the device will accept all text messages.  Please reply back so I and the community can assist further.
    Thank you!

  • How to set multiple alarms on E90?

    Hi guys,
I want to set multiple alarms on a 24 hour period of the same day, please give hints on how this can be done, on my pervious handset I was able to set alarms for multiple dates & times.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Does the E90 not have the same multiple alarm features as the N95 & N82?
Go into the clock, then press right for alarms. Then press Options > New Alarm and set it for the correct day and time. Then repeat the process to set mutiple alarms for the same day.

  • Messaging Multiple Recipients (SMS)

Any idea how to send sms to multiple recipients at once with the Lumia 800?
I remember it was fairly easy with the N78.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

In the To box at the top of the message type the first few letters of their name and you'll see their name appear, touch it to add it, repeat with each person.
If you have a regular set of people you send messages to you could set them up as a group to save time and just message the group.

    One thing that might help.
If your primary server is hosted by your company, double check the outgoing settings.
    Host Name:
    Use SSL:
    Authentication:
    Server Port:
If it zips through your primary server without effect, try turning the primary server off and one of the secondary on.
If connected to Edge or 3G, you can use ATT's SMTP server.
If issue still persists, then set up a gmail or yahoo account to test with.
    Both are free email services.
If still fails, then general troubleshooting might help.
Here are a couple of articles from the apple support website that might help out.

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I send an SMS message to a group?

I cannot seem to figure out how to add a second recipient to the SMS message. I routinely beep out messages to the 5 people I work with, I'd hate to send it out to each separately.

At this time, multiple recipient SMS messaging is not supported on the iPhone.

  • What phone can do multi message sms in one go

really need to know what model can do this ,
    can anyone help
    thanks

What, exactly, do you mean when you say "multi message sms" and "in one go"?
Do you wish to send multiple, different SMS messages to one recipient?
Do you wish to send multiple, different SMS messages to multiple recipients?
Do you wish to send a single SMS to multiple recipients?
Each different SMS has to be sent separately.
An SMS message that exceeds 140 bytes in length will automatically be split to multiple messages and each one is sent, and then reassembled automatically at the recipient's phone. This is how the SMS mechanism has been designed.
In most phones you can also add multiple recipients to a single SMS, but this will always result in multiple SMS messages to be sent (at least one for each recipient depending on the message size/length). This is also how the SMS mechanism works.
If you send an MMS or email to multiple recipients, then you send only one message, and the receiving server (a network operator's MMS-C, or email server) will take care of delivering copies to each recipient.

  • ASA-SM flash storage options

I've been trying to figure out which flash storage systems the ASA-SM can use for image and configuration management purposes. Of course I've checked the config guide (current is v8.5), the data sheet and the Q&A, yet it doesn't clearly answer specific qestions, like:
The documentation speaks about disk0: and disk1:...What are the internal and external flash stores?
How large is the internal flash store?
Where's the external flash store located at? According to the pictures, there's no external flash module bay on the ASA-SM itself...right?
Can one of the multiple addressable Cat6500 flash file systems be used as an external flash?
In case it's OK to use a Cat6500 file system as a shared flash (imagine using multiple ASA-SMs), which one will be addressed by default? Is there a default at all, is it configurable?
    Thanks for any clarification
    Toni

  • Does Apple read the Feedback?

No offence, but the first update doesn't seem to actually done anything functionally. Multiple contact SMS, contact lookup in phone mode, MMS texting, games, ringtones, copy/paste, video, sending contact info via text. A handful or other items seem to dominate the forums, yet Apple didn't add any of those functions.
When will the next update happen? I hope it is better than this one.

Do they read the feedback? Of course they do. However, that doesn't mean to say that they act on every suggestion, or even suggestions we might think would be the common ones.
The iPhone was designed to fulfill specific needs for specific reasons - Apple didn't leave features out by mistake. Any fool who knows a tiny bit about the cellphone market knows what features other phones have, so it's not like they were in the dark about what options other manufacturers included. What they clearly did was build a device that was different, to appeal to people who didn't much want the same feature set as they could get from anywhere else.
If Apple consider adding additional features it may be in part because a significant number of users ask for these things, but in all likelihood additional features that do get added will be in keeping with the product as it now stands rather than an attempt to make it just like everything else out there.

  • How do you select multiple messages/conversations on SMS/MMS to forward or save to memory card on Samsung Stratosphere?

How do you select multiple messages/conversations on SMS/MMS to forward or save to memory card on Samsung Stratosphere?
My screen is cracked and I need to replace my phone and I don't see a way of selecting multiple messages or even conversations one at a time to forward them to email or to save them to a memory card.  I can delete thread but can't forward it or move it.  Is there a setting somewhere that will move the storage location for messages to the memory card instead of internal?
If not, any suggestions on backup apps?  I have heard of Txtract to back up SMS and MMS messages, and Titanium Backup to back up everything (SMS, MMS, apps, app data...).  Anyone have any experience with those, or other suggestions?
    Thanks!

  • HT1495 How do I stop SMS messages being shared between multiple iphones on my itunes account? One is my wife's, one is mine and we do not want each others messages appearing on the other.

How do I stop SMS messages appearing on two devices on my iTunes account?
One phone is mine, one is my wife's and we dont want messages being shared.
We do have contacts and music etc shared.

If your are recieving mixed information on your phone on multiple devices this is going to be related to iMessage.
On your phone navagate to settings > messages > send and receive.
Check the information in that section make sure it relates to your AppleID and your phone.  If you share a AppleID with the individual create a new AppleID for their device and insert that information.
If the numbers don't remove turn of iMessage restart your phone and turn it back it.
If all else fails disable iMessage otherwise turning it off is the quickest fix.

  • How can i send multiple sms from my iphone 4

how can i send multiple sms from my i phone 4

Turn Group Messaging (instructions in lin that follows) off and send the message to multiple recipients. The result may be dependent on your carrier. If manually keying in numbers rather than using contacts, use the return key after each number. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5760

  • HT3529 SMS sent to multiple contacts were converted into mms.

SMS sent to multiple contacts were converted into mms, text only 61 characters long including spaces. Carrier O2 have said it is an known issue with apple products. This has cost me £50 to say happy new year to my family and friends. Anyone know of this issue with iPhone. Called into apple store who were unaware of this? Everyone blaming each other as usual! Can't see in term and conditions for O2 or apple that this would happen. The message is stored on the phone as a text message! Thanks

Thanks Tim, apple say the same thing, carrier's method of handling multiple SMS creates this issue, can't see anywhere which alerts the customer to this on terms and conditions so back to O2 it is then!
