Multiple recording without comping and/or cycling

hello: i've recently upgraded to 8.0.2 and some important things have changed.
for example: i record and edit around 12 drum tracks at the same time and for every song section i record more than 20 takes each. that is for many purposes. now before upgrading i usually enabled every track record button, cycle, punch in and replace buttons that way i could stack takes over and choose and edit what i wanted and with ease. now replace button is for destructive takes and i don't use it anymore, just cycle and punch in or just cycle but the problem is eitherway logic compiles takes and is a nightmare! for every compiled track there are a big number of takes, edit them or just erase them is a huge waste of time. it is useful if i record one track only as bass or guitar players do. can you help me out on this? i don't want comping or any weird pseudoupgraded tools. logic platinum 6.3.3 is way better than this......thank you....

What you are wanting to accomplish, can be done, but it is not necessarily a simple task and is going to require at least a modicum of programming skill. Stored procedure returning multiple records without using SYS_REFCURSOR

Hello,
I am new to oracle stored procedures, have done stored procs in SQL server in past. I am trying to write single stored proc which will return multiple records. I have the stored proc as below and that is compiled without any errors.
We don't want to use SYS_REFCURSOR as output param b'coz the place from which this proc is gonna call, that system doesn't support SYS_REFCURSOR param.

Just out of curiosity, what are you using for API or driver that doesn't support a ref cursor? Ref cursors are pretty much the defacto standard for passing multiple records out of an Oracle procedure. Oracle's ODP.NET, OLEDB, ODBC, JDBC, OCI, all support ref cursors. Chances are that if the driver you're using doesn't support something as basic/fundamental as a ref cursor, it's probably also not going to support something else either.
You'll most likely want to check with the driver/api vendor on their recommended approach.

Updating multiple records without having to use a cursor

I am trying to update multiple records in a table.
Eg
Table A -20 records
Table B -10 records.
Would like to update Table B with the updated records in Table A for those records which the primary key matches
and I dont want to use cursors. Is this possible??

Inserting multiple records in JSP and setting date format

I'm looking at the possibilities for using JSP's as a web application.
I've got a few questions about it:
1) Is it possible to insert multiple records in the detail block of my JSP. Normally when I click the 'insert button', an insert JSP comes up, which is a html form with the possiblity of inserting only one record.
2) Is it possible to change the format of a date field. Now a date field is displayed as 'YYYY-MM-DD'. My nls_date_format is something else.
3) I can't get the static combo box working for the class EditCurrentRecord. The normal use combo box is no problem. Probably, I don't have the syntax correct. Could anyone provide an example for this.

2) Just use the Calendar object. You can format the date any way you want. I am assuming that you are talking about how the date appears after a .toString() call.

Ipod Touch 4th generation 32G not turning on, not charging.
I have used multiple cords on both computer USB and wall USB converters. I let it sit there for over 20 min with each attempt.
It is not being detected by Itunes or my Windows 7 64bit OS. I have tried all 4 of my USB ports (both USB 2.0 and 3.0), with 3 different chargers.
Holding home and power button will not reset.
Tried taking it out of "DFU" mode but Itunes won't detect it, I didn't think that would work anyway.
NO DAMAGE, I have been very careful with it, aside from a few minor scratches. (that you can't even see unless the light reflects them)
My Itunes is up to date, as is my OS.
All I'm getting is a blank black screen. It has been working fine on this computer before. I have no idea what could have happened. I'm at my wits end here.

Multiple record insert thru PROCEDURE - Urgent

All,
My requirement is, I have to invoke a procedure which accepts two input and 1 out variable. The operation of the procedure is to insert the data to two tables(head_tab and line_tab-accepts multiple record). I used %rowtype for the two inputs i.e procedure proc(head_var head_tab%rowtype, line_var line_tab%rowtype, out_var out number). The incoming doc comes from 3rd party application which sends a header record and multiple line record for the same header.
I used the transformation activity, to insert line record I used for-each loop for multiple record. But %rowtype being a scalar data type, it doesn't accept array of record to it! I'm stuck here. Can we achieve this scenario with using of procedure? or should I configure DBAdapter to insert the data directly to the table rather the procedure does this? If we can achieve it thru procedure, how can I go about?

With the above code you can insert multiple header records each having multiple line records.

how can I achieve this?do I need to use BPM or any mappings other than Graphical?

Data merge CS5, will not create multiple records.

I have my base elements on the master page and two text boxes on page 1 on of a single page document. I am creating raffle tickets so there is box on the left side of the page and the right side of the page. I need this step 3 times down the sheet.
I've tried using a comma delimited and tab delimited file. These files have two columns with numbers 1-500 and each with a different heading. Ticket 1 and Ticket 2.
When I turn on multiple records nothing step and repeats. It looks exactly the same as a single record. I make raffle tickets like these quite often but the template I've used for the last few years is 1 up, built to the size of the ticket, and everything works great. I end up with 500 pages, send through our impositioning software then print.
In this case, my client wants to print the files themselves and have them stepped up 4 per sheet.
Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

It takes the 1-up PDF and allows it to be placed into InDesign as it it were prepared in an n-up imposition.
It isn't a fix to the multiple record issue that the OP has, but rather a workaround.

This is not possible selecting multiple records whitout using CTRL... you can have the checkbox instead of tab to select the multiple records without using CTRL.

There is a table in the view.At run time, I need to select multiple records and update those records in the database. So i took check Box as a column in the table.*(I did not associate check box to any of the attributes (columns) in the table.)* After running the application, I selected multiple records using checkbox and submitting them. The check box is returning value as 'false' even for the selected records also instead of 'true'. Because of this we are facing the issue in updating only the selected records. I tried selecting the option 'Row Selection' while dragging and dropping the table and changed the property RowSelection->multiple. But it is not serving the purpose of updating multiple records.
Please suggest if there is any other solution to update multiple records.

Hi,
if you added checkboxes to a table, then at runtime the checkbox is stamped, which means that a call to this.getSbc1().isSelected() just returns the state of the last checkbox that is rendered. Info record without Plant

Hi,
I have got standard inforecord created without plant and with plant for a given material code and vendor code combination. I put tick mark in deletion indicator in condition tab for without plant as I want to use info record with plant only.
But since I put deletion indicator in condition tab, its net price and effective price became zero.
Now when I am trying to create PO, even though correct inforecord exists with required condition value with plant, system is finding inforecord without plant with zero effective price and giving error message "Maintain Pricing Condition In Info record".
Kindly suggest how I can remove info record without plant and generate PO with info record with plant.

Merge Data Multiple records problem (repeats data)

I'm tring to creat some cataloge pages with 4 images, codes, dicritons etc per page.
i have a excel sheet which I've saved to a CSV file for a data source. i have a single page with the first record at the top and enogh room to repeat the record 4 times on the page. When I do the data merge I'v selected multiple records per page and put in all the settings and spacings I want.
Everything looks fine when i click on the multiple reports prevew but when i do the actual merge most of the merges copy the same data with only a few records using different data. It's generating the correct number of records and pages with 4 records per page but repeatiing the same record,except for 2 records which were different before going back to the repeated record. Also the record it repeats is not the first record on the list, it's about the 6 of 16.
I'm using CS5 version of Indesign.
Any one have any sugestions to get it working corrctly or is this a fault wiyh CS5?
