Multiple selection limitation for SE16
Dear Experts,
I have a question regarding the table search using the transaction SE16.
I have a table zzz and i want to search some data in this table zzz. So I fill in the document field the accounts that I what to do the search.
But the search is not base on a range of accounts, I want some specific accounts... so next to the document field there's a arrow for e multiple selection and then i place the x numbers of accounts I want to search in the "Select Single Values" tab.
So i can place:

3
N entries
But looks like it's limited up to 4095 entries, if I exceed more than 4095 entries, it will just return no data found!!!
If I load 4095 entries it does return the data I want...
So, is there any configuration for this kind of limitation?

Hi All,
thank you for the interest you had to solve my problem, but actually the problem persist.
I just noticed something... it only happens when i use 2 fields for search criteria.
for example.
Field 1 is the range of the date.
Filed 2 is the document number.
So i fill up the range of the date, using 4095 registries in the filed 2 it will show me for example 1000 results. But if I add a additional registry(4096) to the field 2 in the multiple selection, it will return 0 results.
That's pretty weird.

Multiple select list for one field in form
Friends,
I have a form , which is having many fields. One of the field are day/date. In this field i have to take 3 dropdown lists. like one for date, one for day and another for year. I have created three lov's for the day,date and year but for the field day/date i am able to apply only one lov. Any way so that i can display all the three lov for one field
example
day/date: day -- (dropdown list)
date -- (dropdown list)
year -- (dropdown list)

I don't know if you can use a PDF form to do an HTTP upload of a file. You can use an image field to allow a user to browse for a GIF, TIF, JPG, or PNG and include that in the submitted XML, but I don't know if it's possible to do something similar for other file types. I doubt it. PDF does support file attachments, but that functionality requires the user to have Acrobat or the PDF has to have usage rights enabled using Adobe Reader Extensions Server. Even if you assume that all your users have Acrobat though, attaching files in this way doesn't get the file into the XML form data like an image field does. -
Multiple select queries for JDBC sender
I am working on JDBc to IDOC scenario.
I need to process two select queries in PI where output of 1st query becomes the input of second.
Now i need to map the output of second to IDOC through XSL mapping also i need to use BPM to process(without using the stored procedure) the scenario.
In my JDBC communication channel i have option for only one select query and second query should fetch the data through BPM.
In BPM i have used the following sequence mentioned below:
Start --> Receive step ( receives all the header lines) --> Transformation (to split the header messages to single message) --> Block Start( To processEachRecord) --> Send Syn (to map the request message i,e. output of first query with Response i,e. structure of the second query) --> Send Asyn (to send the output of second query to XSLT mapping) -->Block End --> stop
Output of XSLT mapping is the input for IDOC

Use SQL Nested Queries.
Example:

Here first table is Manufacturer .. we do select query in manufacturer to return data and pass it to the first table Product.

You dont need at all. In your sender jdbc channel, write sql statement nested query and you will get only output of the second table. you map the second table output to the idoc.
Note: Dont know why do you need BPM for this case..

Multiple selection screens for report
I need to display 2 separate selection screens prior to executing the report.
1. A selection screen to enter the material & plant
2. Based on the material and plan another selection screen to display the inspection characteristics associated with the material and be able to select (as checkbox) the inspection characteristic that needs to be used as filtering criteria.
The first selection screen I can do. But how do I invoke the second selection screen that displays the insp. char. Also how do I design such a selection screen and populate the contents
I would like something like

Multiple Selection Boxes for Data
Hello all,
I need to create a dashboard that will allow me to drill down by two parameters. For example:
I need to see the country in this example USA and then a second critera would be the states.
So I would want to be able to select USA in one combo box potenially and see the totals and then select a specific state in a second combo box and see those totals.
I would then want to do south america and those countries. So South America and then Brazil, mexico, ect.

How to set billing doc parameter for multiple selection ?????

MSS Time Approval - multiple (different) selection options for manager?
Hi all
I am setting up MSS Time Approval delegation in ERP2005 without workflow, leave request, nor portal development environment set up.
In this case, the customer needs to have multiple selection options for who to approve:
1. The manager's direct reports (standard functionality)
2. All subordinates, all levels down
3. Delegate's (manager or non-manager) view of a particular (other) manager's direct reports
3b. This might extend to a set of different delegation selections
4. Add or remove certain individuals
Now, getting 3. and 4. to work was simple using the BAdI (I think the enhancement spot is named APPR_CUST), method ...-edit_selection, but I am having difficulties with 2. and 3b. Now I am thinking along these lines, and I would greatly appreciate your input:
A. It seems that the MSS "Approve working time" app only loads the data selection at the entry into this screen (INIT command from portal), using the start perspective determined for example by the IMG for defining the approval profile <-> view. My debugging suggests that the view change from the drop down menu (CHANGE_PERSPECTIVE command) only picks a different way to present the same data set.
Could anybody please confirm or contradict this conclusion?
B. Is it possible to present the entire "Approve working time" section in MSS in multiple different copies so that they would all generate an INIT command? Or is it possible to copy and modify the entire MSS tab, resulting in an ESS tab, one MSS, one "D"SS, one "A"SS (well, not suggesting that the top manager is one, but you get the drift...) and so on?
If either of this were possible, it would be simple to make two modifications, one at the beginning of the FM called by the portal and one at the FM that returns the start perspective.
So far I have been trying to catch and alter the CHANGE_PERSPECTIVE command into an INIT in the back end, but the Time Approval functionality is a bit too complex for me to feel entirely comfortable with this approach.

Niclas ArndtWe too are using MSS for time approval of time entered via ESS. We are on ECC 6.0 for the backend (no enhancement packs, at least not yet), currently sp stack 10 with hrsp 24, and EP 7.0 with stack 10 for the ESS/MSS business packages. We are using the standard MSS UWL functionality for the approval, so it is workflow-based in my understanding.
In other parts of MSS, the managers can see a few levels deep in the organization structure, based upon the definition we gave for their structural profiles. For instance, in the team calendar/overview, or other team information, they have a choice for multiple levels or only direct reports. However, in the time approval application, only direct reports are shown, so if a manager goes on vacation, at present the only way to cover time approvals for that manager's employees appears to be to temporarily assign a new 'chief' to that org unit, so HR involvement becomes necessary. The manager doesn't have any method for delegating the approval or other MSS authorities. We were hoping that by allowing multiple levels in the structural profile, such approvals would "roll up" to the next level, i.e. the manager's supervisor, so the next level manager could act as a backup to his/her managers on vacation. That doesn't work, however.
We have heard that a delegation feature for MSS will be available in an upcoming release, but I haven't found any information regarding whether that requires an upgrade, an enhancement pack, a later service pack level, or what or when that functionality will be available. Does anyone know anything about that?

List/Menu (multiple selected) insert into MySQL
I have been building a feedback form and I am running into a
issue that when I place a list/menu that allows multiple selections
when I submit my form in my MySQL database it collected the
information but only on the last multiple selection.
For example, this is what my list/menu looks like.

Nope. An E_NOTICE error won't terminate the script, but
shouldn't happen
nevertheless. While developing, the error_reporting directive
should be
set to E_ALL|E_STRICT and _all_ reported problems should be
solved. It's
not only better coding style, but also helps to prevent real
errors. In
this particular case it was just a guess, because it was only
a part of
the code. But using an uninitialized variable with a '.='
operator for
example would lead to a notice, which should be fixed.

All are correct and won't be deprecated. IMHO it's more or
less just
personal preference. It also depends on the used editor and
its syntax
highlighting capabilities. For example I use Eclipse/PDT for
all my PHP
scripts, which can also highlight variables inside a string.
But if the
above is your preferred way, there's nothing really wrong
with it.
Just some additional thoughts:
Personally I prefer as less escaping and concatenating as
possible,
because such a mixture of single quotes, double quotes, dots
and
sometimes even escaped quote signs (for example when printing
HTML)
_really_ confuses me. I like to keep my code clean and
readable.
Something like this:
print "<img src=\"".$someVar."\" ...>\n";
not only hurts my eye, it is also quite error-prone. It's
easy to miss a
quote or a backslash and get a parse error back, especially
in editors
with limited syntax highlighting (or none at all). So I would
prefer
print "<img src='$someVar' ...>\n";
or even
printf("<img src='%s' ...>\n", $someVar);
When it comes to performance issues, of course there's a
difference
between the various methods. But for me they don't really
matter. In
practice you usually won't notice any difference between an
echo, a
print or a printf() call for example, as long as you don't
call them
a million times in a loop.
So I always just use the method that leads to the most
readable code.
In many cases, especially when a lot of variables or
expressions are
involved, (s)printf() wins. Not for performance, but for
readability.
But as said - personal preference. YMMV.

eg: if i take the field kunnr, i should be able to select the multiple kunnar values in the output screen.

Doubt in Selection-Screen for Program type "Function Group"

I created a Function group in that i created one screen and writtem the Screen flow logic. In that screen I called a Function module "COMPLEX_SELECTIONS_DIALOG" For Creating a selection-Screen.

If that's not correct, could you please post a few more details on what exactly you are doing.
I had to 'simulate' a select-option behavior which I did as follows:
- I created a range variable to store the values (s_ctby)
- on the screen I defined the LOW (s_ctby-low), HIGH (s_ctby-high) and the multiple selection field pushbutton

Show/hide based on Multiple selections in a select box
In my http header I have the following code...
it works great as long as only one value is selected:
if you highlight the ARRAMO value the DUNS field appears...
if you highlight anything else the DUNS field disappears...
but if I highlight both ARRAMO and another field, I want the DUNS to SHOW and it DOESNT..
how do I fix this?

Background
I am implementing SAP SD where there are two main separate business in one company. One customer can buy products from both business. Credit limits are defined separate for the same customer as the sales team of both business are different.
Question
a) I am trying to persuade to the client that we should define centralized one credit limit for the common customers who deal with both business. Hence one credit control area will be defined in SAP. Can you please let me know the advantages of single credit limit for one customer?
The only problem business will face is that for example: Customer A was assigned credit limit 1000 Rupees. Business A and Business B gets problem that what % of credit limit they should offer to customer for each business.
b) To fulfil the business requirement of defining separate credit limit for one/common customers for both businesses, i will go for the option of defining separate credit control area and can define separate credit limits. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this option?
c) How to configure multiple credit limits for one customer ?How many company codes you are defining?
