Multiple users for FaceTime on shared iMac

Morning - is it possible to use FaceTime on the household iMac where the machine is just turned on and running, but used by a number of people. I guess I'm trying to 'login' to FaceTime as you would MSN messenger or Skype etc... per user at the time.

You can only use one library at a time in an Aperture slideshow, so I'd suggest to simply collect the audio that you want to use in a folder (export the songs from both iTunes Libraries) and then import this folder to Aperture. Now you have a project containing the audio files; you will see it in the Aperture Audio section of the audio Browser, right above the iTunes section.
You can use the Apperture audio just like the audio in iTunes to drag to the timeline of your slideshow.

My son has an iPhone 5c running iOS 8.0.2.
I've just upgraded my iMac to Yosemite.
I'm getting my iMessages and Phone calls with the new Yosemite OS, but I'm also getting my sons iMessages and FaceTime requests.
Only his iMessages and Facetime, no Phone calls, no Text messages. I tried turning off his Bluetooth, thinking that was the issue, but it isn't.
This must be a settings thing, but I cannot figure it out.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Exactly what did you do?
Open Users & Groups preferences.
Click the lock icon and authenticate.
Select the account to delete then click on the Delete [-] button.
Select the option to delete immediately. Do not select erase securely.
If you've already deleted the account using secure erase, then you cannot change that. You will have to wait until the process is completed which may take days depending on how much data was in the account.

WebTools Creating multiple users for the same User

I had to make a few changes to a BP in SAP which will synch back into WebTools but now I am getting multiple users for the same contact. For example my user is cspehar_1 now in Webtools there are cspehar_1, cspehar_2, cspehar_3 and so on up to _8.
This is occuring for several users in webtools.
What causes this and how do I fix it?

Hi Craig,
There are two ways to cause this that I am aware of:
1. Change the "Business Partner Synch Contacts Field" setting after the initial synch.
2. Change the Web UserID on the BP contact in B1 (OCPR.U_PRX_SID).
After that, update the user in WT and synch. (might also happen if you update the BP in B1)
Since the synch is using the OCPR.U_PRX_SID to identify the contact, it will not be able to find it in B1 if the U_PRX_SID has changed. When it does not find it, it assumes it needs to be created. This results in a duplicate.
The solution is to reset the U_PRX_SID back to what it was or set the synch contact field back to what it was.
Then delete the last created duplicate contact from B1.
There may be further data corruption issues here. If orders/quotes/opportunities or other dependant data has synchronized referencing the duplicate user, these data will need to be correct as well.
FYI, whatever caused this was probably at the root of your order problem as well.

We are using it for our department and it would be great to see who created what form instead of it being all one name.

Each person should have their own account. You can easily share the forms with other people in your department. You will be able to see who the author of the form is.

You need to expand on your question.
But the basic concept is you create or connect (for LDAP) users in Shared Services. You also create groups as required for these users. Then in shared services you provision those user to Planning applications (directly or indirectly through groups)
Then in Planning you will see users or groups. And in planning you connect them to either members in dimensions or to objects like Forms, Task lists, Business Rules.
There is therefore no such thing as synching Shared Services with Planning.
Note: the 2 steps mentioned above can be done in batch through load utilities.

Working with multiple users and computers, but shared data

Sorry if this is posted in a poor place, I'm not sure where the best place is. This is sort of a general questions.
For a long time, my wife and I have had either one computer, or two machines but one has definitely been just a terminal. We've basically set up all of our data to be one one primary machine, and if we want to view/edit that data we have to use that machine.
We just got a new MacBook Pro and I would like to be able to use two machines as equals. Sadly, this idea of multiple computers, with two users and some shared data is really giving me difficulty. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to best manage things like:
Synchronizing portions of our contact list (We share about 50% of the combined library -- we don't have to share all though).
How to manage iPhoto so that we can each have access to the photos. As an added difficulty (or maybe this is easier?) my Wife just wants to have access to the pictures for viewing and sharing on Facebook/Picassa/etc. I am the only one who wants to edit, correct and cull our library. That said, I always edit when I first put the data on the machine, and almost never again; so it would be fine to have one (or both accounts) set up as view only for the iPhoto data.
How to manage iTunes so that we can each have access to the music. As a super awesome bonus, it would be great if we could have three libraries: His, Hers and Shared. Maybe as much as 30% of our music library is similar, the rest just gets in the way.
What is the best solution people have found for calendars? (I'm thinking two separate calendars, and we each subscribe to each others iCal feed)
Mail.app and bookmark synching is not really a problem for us.
Two extra points:
* One machine is portable, and the other isn't. Ideally, when the laptop is out of the house, both machines should still have reasonable access to the shared data. That is: Just dumping things in the shared folder won't work because when the laptop is out of the house we will be disconnected from the source data.
* We just got a second iPhone. This means that both of us will be taking photos/video separately and trying to synch back to the master data store.
* Basically, I'm trying to minimize data duplication as much as possible, and just synchronize the systems to each other.

So you have a desktop Mac and a laptop Mac, right? Two user accounts (and a third admin account) on each computer, right?
I profess that I haven't tried this, but here is how I would approach your problem:
Sharing Music and Photos between multiple user accounts on the same computer:

Sharing across multiple computers:
Turn on file sharing on the Desktop (System Preferences > Sharing). Now you can mount the Desktop as an external drive on the laptop's Desktop. Copy the music and photo folders across. Will take awhile to do the first time. Then, for future use, get a copy of the donationware CarbonCopyCloner or equivalent. You can use CCC to selectively sync specific folders from one computer to the other. There may be a hassle with digital copyright issues on music and movies, though.
Calendars:
As you have suggested yourself, publishing yours and subscribing to hers is probably the best way to do it, on the same computer. Across computers, syncing with CCC or equivalent would probably be the way to go.

Multiple users on home LAN sharing both the Music folder and library

I've been hunting around the web and not found anything that helps me with this specific situation though various articles come close but I've not actually succeeded yet, I was wondering if anyone can help.
I have a Windows XP home PC, 2 user login profiles, both share the same music folder but have different librarys.Using Itunes 10.
I've recently purchased a NAS, I have successfully moved the music folder to the NAS and now also have a netbook (windows 7) seeing the same music folder.
What I want is to have any users/PCs to have the same music folder and the same library on Itunes.
Where I come unstuck is the library as I want the library from the primary user on the PC to be the master, I want this located on the NAS and I want any machine/user to share this same library. I know it's the Itunes folder in My Music, I can easily move that but most forums suggest starting Itunes holding down shift andselecting a new library but I do not get this option.
Instead, I go into the library options but the library command to compile (can't remember exactly that command) seems to retain the local library store.
Is there a way I can just add my NAS located music folder and point Itunes to a different itunes folder for the library?
Separately, I'd like to know if there is an option to keep a local copy of the music and photos folders, I'd like the netbook to be able to this as a backup of the NAS.

It is not really practical for multiple users on different PCs to use the same library database. This is because the iTunes database is not multiuser, the can however share the same content files.
So each PC will need it's own library database (iTunes Library.itl) which in this case is best located on the users own PC.

we have multiple users who process their credit card requests through xi and we need to issue certificates which will be unique for every user.
where i need to maintain all these certificates and how a particular user is validated when he sends the request to xi and the scenario is proxy-soap synchronus.
can somebody explain the maintaining multiple users with multiple certifcates or any other efficient authentication methodology

cetificates are required in message encryption not for users,
if you don't want certain user not to be able to access certain area of XI,then just don't give him that access in SU01.
similarly you can restrict access so that users can't see the actual message payload hence the credit card information will be saved

Table data getting locked for multiple user for a Z-table updation after EH4 to EHP6 Upgrade

Hi,
We have one new upgraded system at EHP6, earlier system was at EH4 where multiple user can Run one Z T-code and can edit the entries for the Z-table.
This Z-Tcode is calling SM30 internally for updating the Z-Table.
Now in the upgraded system, when one user is into the transation code, and other user runs that T-code, systems throws a POP-UP mesg saying that the data is locked and can be displayed only(can not be edited).
I have debugged the code in both the environment and found that there is one statement Call C_ENQUEUE ID < > field. for which the Sy_Subrc is coming as 2 in the upgraded system which is causing the issue, where as the sy-subrc is 0 in the system at EH4 level.
Can any body tell me why this Z-tcode is not allowing to be accessed by multiple user at same time for Editing(updating the table) .

I have an application deployed on apex 4.0. For my application currently there is only one default user having the same username / password as the workspace which this application is a part of. However, I need to have multiple users to be able to segregate roles. I have created a table with the required users and corresponding passwords, however, am unable to ,make the login page reference this table instead of the default username and password it currently does. Can someone please help me out.

As per checking the code for STAUTHTRACE, it seems it uses system functions to perform the trace (C_SET_SWITCH, C_SET_USER, C_SET_MOD_TIME). If I understood correctly, C_SET_USER determines the user which the trace will be performed.
We then tried to create a custom version of the program by enabling addition of multiple users in Trace Options.
As per checking the code, the variable which will contain the user for tracing has a type of CHAR12, which means it may not be able to contain all the set users on the Trace Options. A loop statement was the approach used to enable the passing of all users. However, it was observed that the system function stops the trace for the current user once a new user has been set. Thus, the trace will remain active only to the latest user.
As the possible users for tracing don't have a definite pattern, using wildcards seems an improbable approach.
With this, kindly advice accordingly.

Is there a way to use music from multiple users itunes libraries on one iMac for a slideshow in Aperture?

I am trying to put together a slide show for a trip my wife and I took to England. I would like to be able to use music from both our itunes libraries in the slide show. I am using Aperture to create the slide show since it seems to be more versatile than iPhoto for this. Only trouble is that when I log into my username on the iMac I only see my iTunes library and similar when logging into her username. We have different music but would like to use some from each library in the slide show.
