Muvo C100 Win98 Driv

Well.. I've lost my installation disk... And i have every single install i could find to try to install my Muvo C00 Sport on my computer. I run Windows 98se by the way... I've looked everywhere.. I have the firmware and all of that, but nothing will install because there's no drivers installed... So, i'm wondering where can i get them?I've read all around.. Maybe i didn't look hard enough, if i didn't, i apologize for this post... But i found nothing at all here about it. There was a few things i saw that looked helpful.. But they turned out to be little more than what i've been seeing everywhere for the last month and a half.
Any help at all would be great.. Thanks.
Again, if i broke any rules or didn't look around hard enough, i apologize for this post... But after a month and a half of not being able to figure this out, i'm getting a little aggrivated.
Again, thanks.

I have the original cd.. PM me with your e-mail adress, and I will mail the drivers to you (approx. 2 Mb). I cannot find win98 drivers for the c00 anywhere on Creatives website either... I hope this is being read by someone who can fix this !
mwesth:
Why not post a copy of the drivers to a drivers website and then post the link here. Then anyone who needs them will be able to get a copy without you having to keep emailing them.

  • MUVO V200 - Disk Drive is F

I am having a problem with the disk space of my Muvo V200.
The capacity is GB but yesterday when I tried to copy 600MB of mp3 files I got the message that disk dri've is full.
The player was empty. I formatted it but there was still the same problem. There was not any hidden file in my player of in the files that I tried to copy.
I am starting to copy the files and when I receive this message I go to the properties and it says that I have USED SPACE:540MB and FREE SPACE:453MB.
Despite that I cannot copy all my files.
Does anyone knows wht is going on?

  • Muvo C100 Sport SD - MMC Card Problem

    Hi there,
i recieved my new MuVo C00 Sport a few days ago! I have a big prob with external memory cards.
tried sd and mmc cards with 52mb. the player does not initialize the cards after "power on"...
jumping to the external card shows the info "no music"! after plug out and in of the card while the player is on,
    the card gets readable...
is this a firmware bug? i have testet 3 different 52mb cards (sd and mmc). this is no good news, cause i do not want to plug the card every time i turn the player on, even when i go out for a run!!!
can anyone share his experiences with me about that?
    thanks,
    iron_muvo

    Hi all.
I have also unfortunatly had the same problem with my sandisk 52 card, when I try and access the card through the player it will only read as 'no music'. Also the Muvo C00 does not even read the size of the card or free space, only that it is there I have also tried formating in FAT/32, to no avail.
"If I have no music on the internal memory, after I turn it on, it stalls for about 30sec-2minutes then it displays "No Music". If there is music on the internal dri've, then it plays from the internal dri've and then says there is no music in the external<FONT color=#ffffff> card. The only way I can get it to work is by turning the player on, then inserting the card. It reads almost immediately with this method. After I restart it, then it won't read at all. It's very frustrating. I know it should work, but it won't.".......
Despite the issues I am still keeping the player as it fits me needs nicely, and of course I expect Creative to support this product like any other sooo I can wait for the fix that is sure to come.

  • Muvo NX Flash Drive Bent...how do you fix

So my Muvo NX is plugged into the USB port and
my little sisters friend runs by, falls, and bends the

It wont read on my computer, does anyone know how

As the player is physically damaged you are looking at having it repaired by Creative, or buying a new player.

  • Muvo C100 - Backlight display - No T

I have a lightly used Muvo C00. I know it is EOL, but it is still in fantastic shape except for one problem.
After a 2 years of intermittent use, the display has a problem. The blue backlight comes on, but I? cannot see any text, therefore cannot do anything but use as an external USB dri've.
Yes, it shows up fine when connected to my PC or Mac, yes I updated the firmware. Still has a problem.
I cannot find a reset button or hole to stick with a paperclip, not sure if it has one.
Has anyone had the same problem with their C00, and what was the resolution?
    Thank you.

Solved the problem, but not sure if will work all the time.
First, voided the already past warranty by disassembling unit, removed plastic back, SD card reader, and seperated circuit board from front case.
Next, touched a paperclip to whatever pair of solder bumps I saw on the front and back of the circuit board.
    Lastly, reassembled and tested.
I noticed the SD card reader came out too easily, so maybe that was the issue.
Date and time did not reset, so maybe the solder humps do not have any effect.
    Whatever I did, it worked.
    Thanx

  • Muvo C100 Sport Firmware update FAIL

I tried updating to MuVoC00_PCFW_LB__0_0.exe and it gave me some obscure message about a semaphore timeout and now the c00 won't even power on. of course since it won't power on it can't been seen by windows xp. it is DEAD! i've tried removing the battery and holding the menu button while replacing the battery; NOTHING!
How can I bring this thing back to life?
    thx

I'm not sure what the recovery mode is for the C00, and if it differs from the other MuVo players, but it sounds like you ought to contact Creative Support direct.

  • MuVo C100 Sport and KingMax SD Card Prob

I just bought a MuVo C00 about a week ago and I love it. I already upgraded the firmware and had no problems doing it.
The problem I have is that it doesn't seem to like the KingMax Secure Digital Cards I have. I have about 3 52MB Kingmax SD cards that I use with my Camera, PDA, and my former MP3 player. I've used these cards in those devices for about 5 months. I had hoped that I could just pop it in and get going. No such luck.
If I have no music on the internal memory, after I turn it on, it stalls for about 30sec-2minutes then it displays "No Music". If there is music on the internal dri've, then it plays from the internal dri've and then says there is no music in the external card.
The only way I can get it to work is by turning the player on, then inserting the card. It reads almost immediately with this method. After I restart it, then it won't read at all. It's very frustrating. I know it should work, but it won't.
I've tried reformatting it in both FAT and FAT32. No luck.
Has anyone had any experience/problems with the KingMax SD card with any of their devices? The Kingmax cards are all VERY thin compared to other brands.
At first, I could only think that it has something to do with losing connection but that doesn't make sense since the player shouldn't read at all after inserting it. Why wouldn't it read after that if it hasn't moved at all?
What brand of memory should be considered safe for use with the C00?

  • 3000 C100 Cloned Hard Drive Upgrade will not boot

    Hi,
I have recently bought a western digital 320 MB hard drive to replace my C100 hard drive which is now full.
I cloned the old hard drive and when I installed it the laptop wouldn't boot, it just said " no bootable CD in drive". It didn't appear to " see" my new hard drive at all, when I pressed the lenovo tools button and then used F12 to choose my boot option, the laptop just went to a black screen.
    Any ideas?

    Solved!

    I used Spotmau Powersuite 2009.
I thought that there may be issues with the size of the new hard drive ( 320 GB).
I shall now go to the WD website and try the software that you suggest.

  • Driver for muvo^2

hi, im just wondering if i can download a muvo 2 fm driver from anywhere.
i lost my cd and i just got a new computer so i'm trying to put it there.
    Thanks

The Muvo doesn't need a third party driver, it's a Mass Storage Class device. Your new PC should automatically add it as a new dri've letter.
Are you looking for the Creative Mediasource application?

  • Drive setup

Ok, what I want to do, is add 2 WD 120g SATA drives to my system.  I need to transfer the entire contents of my current drive over to one of these, unless we can set it up to keep the 200g drive as IDE as well.  As of now, I can't even get the computer to see the two new drives.  They are plugged into the SER1 and SER2 slots on the MB, the bios is configured as such:
    Native
    SATA Only
    PATA Keep Enabled
    PATA Channel Both
    Config SATA as Raid No
ps: When I tried to load the IAA Raid for the ICH5R, it says, chipset not compatible, but we know it is, it came on the board.
    Any ideas or suggestions??

OK, sounds like you know what you're doing. I was just giving a warning about moving the OS. Lots of people come on here hoping wondering why they can't boot the Win98 drive from their old P2 on their new 865PE board!
The fact you can't see the drives in the Standard Cmos features is a problem. The only reasons I can think of are:
1 Configure as Raid set to "YES" (which you said is not the case)
2 Problem with SATA cables or power cables(check them)
3 Some kind of compatibilty problem with the drives(newer Bios'es have updates for drives. What version do you have?)
As for the AARaid, it can only be installed for the system disk when Windows is installed. After Windows is installed, it will only let you install the Raid drivers/utility if it detects drives(non-OS disks) configured as Raid from the Bios settings. IE: you install Windows on the IDE drive and then later add the 2 SATA drives and configure them as Raid in the Bios, then re-boot.
For the setup you are using(non-raid), you don't need the Raid drivers. Windows will see the drives on serial1&2 and use them without any additional drivers. The Promise controller however needs SATA/Raid drivers installed for Windows to use it.

  • How to upgrade 5.0.1 executable to run on Windows XP?

I need to upgrade the OS on a standalone DAQ system to Windows XP.
This system is controlled by an executable created by LabVIEW 5.01 running on Windows 98.
I am not sure if we have the source code (i.e. LV vi's).
Can any one please tell me how to upgrade the system so that the LabVIEW 5.01 executable can run on Windows XP?
Thank you very much for your help.

I will try after backing up the entire system before trying it.
Another related question, if I can find the source code in LV 5.0.1, will I be able to upgrade it to the latest LV version if I buy the LV package, or do I expect problems?
I guess if it were me I'd just get a new compatible hard drive for the system (since they are so inexpensive these days) and swap it for the one with Win98. Install WinXP to the new drive and be sure that you are happy with the performance of the old machine under WinXP before proceeding. Then you can temporarily add the Win98 drive as an additional disk to the WinXP system and copy the files you need off of it and then set it aside again just in case you are not able to get the LabVIEW working. Swapping disk drives is MUCH faster and usually safer then creating and restoring backups. An alternate similar path is to add the new drive to the Win98 system and, using software like Norton Ghost, clone the Win98 system/disk to the new disk then pull out the old Win98 disk, boot off the cloned Win98 disk and upgrade that disk to WinXP. That way the old applications would exist under the new system and you may be able to run them without any further fuss.
The current version of LabVIEW should be able to read the old VI files. You could always download the demo and try it. As far as having problems, many people in general are not happy with one aspect or another of LabVIEW v8.0 and the patch to 8.0.1 certainly does not fix all the problems but if all you are doing is upgrading old code to run again under 8 then you'll probably be OK.

  • Me "GRUB-ed" something (perhaps ;))

    Hi!
Ok, this might have not been the most clever thing to do in the first place considering that I'm not really that much into the whole Archlinux (or "manually setting up my system-") stuff yet...:
So I did boot up my debian (sda), mount a second harddrive (sdb), install some archlinux stuff on it (sdb1 is boot, sdb3 is root) and chroot into it. Then I used pacman to install more base archlinux stuff, gnome and GRUB2 - everything hopefully on sdb. And after that, i configured a lot of stuff - maybe. Or not. Fstab might have been one of the files, and it might maybe be configured correctly if you consider, that i'm planning to permanently switch sda & sdb right before the first "arch boot" after having installed archlinux on sdb(now)/sda(later).
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information
    # <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults 0 1
    /dev/sda3 / ext3 defaults 0 1
    /dev/sda2 swap swap defaults 0 0
    /dev/sdb1 /debian ext3 defaults 0 2
    none /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
    none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
    /dev/cdrom /media/cd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/dvd /media/dvd auto ro,user,noauto,unhide 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /media/fl auto user,noauto 0 0
so then, i did some more stuff i don't remember (mostly "manual-stuff" and "archwiki-stuff" and some "copying-stuff-around-stuff") and after that:
    (chroot):/dev# grep -v rootfs /proc/mounts > /etc/mtab
    chroot:/dev# grub-install sdb

error: cannot open `/dev/fd0' while attempting to get disk size
    Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.

    initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.6.26-1-686
...so now I have no Idea what i've done and if I will still be able to boot on anything as soon as I restart the PC. Could someone please help me figure that out? I think i already completed most of the installation (maybe - and some customization I need much later, because I stumbled upon how they are done while installing).
I'm not sure if i should just try "grub-install sda" on debian root (without chroot anything), if I should umount sdb first (so maybe IF i installed grub there it isn't removed or something?) or how I get sda(later)/sdb(now) to boot with grub (and let me select debian on sda(now)/sdb(later) if Arch doesn't work yet)... or something.... something. Something maybe
(yes, I've spent almost the whole day confusing myself by doing stuff I only marginally understand - or not.)
    Thx!

    Thanks so far!
Oh, am I  "trying to boot from swap? "that could maybe have gone horribly wrong" (i would be able to guess, if I knew what I was doing)... gotta take a second look... can't find it... (think I accidentally formatted my brain at some point during the installation).
Yes, i've got a floppy and I need it in case everything else fails and i have to go fetch the old shoebox with the old wifi-stick & win98-driver + ndiswrapper on disk (got no LAN here).
I've got no idea what the uiid's means, i just copied them from debian grub hoping they are not specifically associated to the order of the hd's.
The thing about keeping sda/sdb in the order they are is that - In the first place i didn't want to change anything on Debian which I'm not able to undo without Internet browser (=manual & help) but rather just let arch do the job as soon as it works and forget what strange stuff I (maybe) did with the old GRUB. Now I don't know if I already did or if it's still like it was. I'll see... have to reboot at some point.
    Hmh... what else? So:
    - At the moment, my arch fstab is already in the state it should need to be when sda&b are switched... that's how I did "grub-install sdb" too. Did I mess something up with this? (on current sda and/or b)
So what I'm planning to do as soon as I looked over everything (again) and find the guts...:
    - shut down
    - switch drives (sda <=> sdb)
    - try to boot arch, switch sda & sdb in debian fstab (which should be sdb by then)
    - try to boot debian
    - if nothing works here: switch drives back, hope that debian still works
    ... if arch boots:
    - copy some .configs from my old debian home to new arch home
    - try to startx / gnome (i think i added gnome-session to /etc/xinitr-stuff-something.something)
    ... if debian works:
    - continue messing around on sda (arch) using debian
    - make backup of arch stuff that seemed to work ( /etc/... )
    I HAVE...:
    - Backups of (Debian)/etc & /home on another hd (which is not connected)
    - Debian stable lenny install dvd
    - a lot of boot and/or live cd's that don't work with my wlan-card and/or video card
    - NO LAN, just wpa
    - coffee
Does anything I REALLY REALLY REALLY should have or have done before I press "shut down" come to anyone mind? (Sorry if my "writing style" sucks atm, but I really haven't much concentration left [maybe I'll leave the PC running and continue tomorrow]).
    thx!

  • Win 98SE Startup Logon Problem

All our Win 98SE had the startup logon problem when we migrated to Cisco 1240AP. Previously, we don't had this problem when we are still using the SMC AP.
When we want to login to windows 2000 Domain during startup, the system will complain that it can't find a DC and we had to click ok to proceed. Once login, we can see that it can detect the AP with good signal strength. Then we need to logoff and then only we can login to the Domain without any problem.
But when we restart the system to login to the Domain again, the same problem occurs. Only when you click ok to login without network and then logoff again to login without restart the system, then the PC can find the Domain and login without problem. All our PCs are using the static IP assignment with DNS and WINS configure.
We are currently using the DLink client wireless adapter and we had try to change to Belkin client wireless adapter with more recent Win98 driver but with the same problem.
Our Window XP don't had this issue. As i had said, previously when we are using a SMC AP, we don't had this problem.
Anyone here had the same problem that had a solution ?
    Thanks.

Yes. The solution was to upgrade to upgrade the customer's laptops to WinXP.
(Drive mappings were also a related issue).

  • Hi, Cannot communicate with other instrument devices (Using AT-GPIB card)

Using AT-GPIB card to communicate with instruments that the running program is in C. After installed 488.2 software and test Hardware Diagnostic Test and Software Diagnostic Test. Everything is OK but after I run execute file the errors appeared. They displayed "GPIB cannot find Amplifier,or Unidex". My main task is transfer the AT-GPIB card from PC 386 to PC windows 98. Please help me to solve these problems. May I still use the old execute file to put in drive C in new PC Wins 98 and run that program. Thanks

    Hi,
It is hard to say what this could be. Everything tests OK so it is likely that your card is correct. Does MAX detect the instruments? I am not familiar with that error message. Is it the output of some custom program or the driver itself? It seems like it is not a driver level problem, but it is hard to say given the information.
By "May I still use the old execute file to put in drive C in new PC Wins 98 and run that program" do you mean keep an old application? If yes, then you should be able to use the old applicatoin with teh win98 driver. If you are refering to the driver itself, then no. You will need the windows 98 driver. This can be found at http://www.ni.com/support/gpib/versions.htm
    Hope this helps out.
