My 24 iMac major problems, since I discovered my mac's s/n was Apple's in Texas. Also keychain problems. in "Apple accounting in Texas". Now I have 5 keychains, is this correct
My mac is in real trouble, tried too reinstall lyon, recovery drive is only 650 mb, and 140.3 available. my mac is 2GB, and I have a lot of free space, I thought maybe I really messed things up by putting some passwords in the address book?
When I tried too reinstall Lion, it said the drive was "locked". (to reinstall I turned off the computer, hold down comman and r right after it starts).
I am the admin, could not log in..so went on my husband's side..created a new apple id, and new log for me.
Also last nightmy "Hard wired " ATT would not even work!
I know this is a lot going on.

Always a guessing a game. But there is a website and
I can't remember which one, sort of buying guide for
mac and they suggest when to buy or hold off on
certain models based on average updates. The 24" is
at the beginning of a cycle so it gets a high "buy
now" rating. Things like the Mac Book Pro and Mac
Books get a "don't buy now" as they are expecting
updates anytime. I'm sure its not foolproof, and I'm
sure we'll all wish we had the newer model when it
comes up. But now is the best time to buy this iMac.

I purchased a Mac book Pro in Aug 2012 with lion and have upgraded to mountain lion. I currently am looking to install the segate 750 gig hybrid drive. I watching video I shows me needing a OSX 10 disk to boot off of when the new disk is in and the use time capsule to restore system from back up drive to new hybrid. Hope I got this correct so far. that being said my Mac Book did not come with a disk therefore is one available, when I get to point of restoring from back up with it be the same mountain lion system I had. Sorr if this sounds redudant.. Thank you in advance
Connect the new hybrid drive to your MBP. Start up your MBP holding the OPTION key, the two HDD icons will appear. Select the 'restore' icon on the right. When you get to the menu where you have 4 options, select Disk Utility. Format the drive and then you can use the option of restoring it from Time Machine.

You haven't made any in-app purchases and/or changed your credit card details on your account (which might result in a temporary holding charge) ? If not then have you contacted your credit card issuer ? Real problem since backing up following MAC theft
I have real problems with images in my events Libraries as the thumbnails are very low resolution and out of focus, this resolved once a picture has been opened but not until.
It makes viewing albums near impossible, I have started to use iPhoto again as I can't bear to look at out of focus thumbnails ...
I have rebuilt my aperture and this has been like it since reinstalling from time-window following theft of my MacHave you tried regenerating your previews? Photos menu, hold option and choose Generate Previews. This may take quite a while depending on the size of your library.

I receive a "cannot get mail" message when my iPhone and iPad try to retrieve one of my email accounts. Since updating, it says to verify account information in mail settings. I haven't changed information.
Rarely data and settings are corrupted during an update. What happened when you verified the mail account settings as suggested? Even if they appear OK, I suggest deleting and reinstalling the account.

When I try to email photos from iphoto, I get a message that says it does not recognize my account or user name. I have not had a problem with this before, so why now? How do I fix this?

Problems installing Flash player on Mac running Yosemite. [was: Help please?]
I am trying to install the latest version of flash player and it is not working correctly. When I click on the installer it gives me a window full of code. If I try to open the installer through disk utility I can click on the installer and type in my password. After that the installer window comes up but there is nothing on it. It is just a blank grey screen. I have a mac and am operating yosemite.

I am not familiar with the behaviour you are experiencing. Are you using the shim installer or the full installer (shim installer is about 1.6 MB in size, while the full installer is about 14 MB in size)?
Please provide a screenshot of the installation window with the code using the instructions here, How to share a document.

Purchases you have made from the iTunes Store should in most cases be in the Cloud (unless the rights owner has had it removed or you are in a country which does not permit this). Other music such as CDs you have ripped are only there if you subscribe to iTunes Match.

3 beeps generally indicates a ram problem. Mac computers: About startup tones - Apple Support
3 successive tones, a 5 second pause (repeating): This indicates RAM does not pass a data integrity check.
You say your iMac was beeping during sleep? Have never heard that before. Try removing and reseating the ram.

You might also consider running The Apple Hardware Test OS X Mountain Lion: Use Apple Diagnostics or Apple Hardware Test

Changing feed url from Blogger to Podomatic, using Feedburner...Am I doing this correctly?
Apologies in advance for my newbie-ness, but I recently started a podcast (Candid Voices) using Blogger and then burning with Feedburner, from which I submitted the feed to the Itunes Store (which was accepted).
However, I have had to switch to PodoMatic for my podcast hosting. I recently updated my Feedburner source url (just an hour ago), and I believe that should cause the Itunes store to update my Podcast eventually...however, I don't want to wait a few days and then figure out there was another step I was supposed to take to complete the changeover.
Can someone let me know if I've done this correctly and can expect the Store to reflect the changes within a couple days?

iTunes is using the latter, but they are the same and are both drawn from the Podomatic feed, so I suppose Feedburner is somehow creating two simultaneously. However on your next update you should make sure that the latter feed is indeed being updated.
Both episodes appear when subscribing, but the Store hasn't caught up yet - it was only posted today, so it should catch up in 1-2 days. There's no further action you need take. -
Hello I have a Gigantic problem. when i first got my ipod i was little so i just put it on my moms account. for 5 years i have been buying music and apps on my moms account totaling more than 500 dollars. I would like to get my own account because I just want to have an independent account for myself. and so i can get other ipods. Obviously i cant afford to purcase all of the music and movies and apps again. nor do i want to. Is there a way for me to transfer the music to my new account. so i dont have to re buy evry thing.
The music and apps you downloaded through your mother's account will always be associated with her account. You can't transfer them to another account that you create for yourself. I suppose this is a corporate restriction which was designed to prevent one user from sharing/transfering Apps and tunes to other users. From a business and legal perspective, it makes sense because developers of apps and the producers of music are required to receive their royalties for their products each time they are sold/downloaded.

I have an iMac that around 3 years old. Just installed Mavericks when it first was released. I also have a Time Capsule (2TB) that runs my network to my other three Apple devices: iPad2, iPhone 5s and a new Apple TV. Having major Mail issues here. Everything is very delayed and extremely slow. Moving emails to other folders sometimes takes a few minutes and the same goes for deleting emails. Delete them and they don't go into the trash for several minutes. It's getting very frustrating to say the least. Mail also quits very often. Mail also will freeze with the little color ball spinning, therefore I would have to force quit Mail. When the errors occur, it's automatically sent to Apple but there hasn't been an update since 10.9.1 that has fixed it. Apparently, that update was only for gmail issues. Anyone having the same problem? Fixes please?
I have my entire network and all Apple devices setup as IMAP, not POP. If your settings are setup as a POP account on all devices, emails will not erase when deleted on your other devices. Just something to keep in mind. I'm sure you're aware of this but just wanted to throw it out there. Google IMAP vs POP. However, it seems like your having the same issues as I am. I'm going to swing by an Apple store by me and speak to the genius bar and see if they can come up with something or are aware of this issue. Keep you posted.
