My Bill is not prorated

A month and a half ago, I decided that I did not want to be a customer of Verizon anymore. I decided to port my number to AT&T, since it was in the middle of the month I wanted to make sure that I would not be charged for the rest of the month. Since talking with Customer Support on the phone is often misleading I came to ask the question to the branch I had signed up for my service in. I explained my intentions and I specifically asked if the bill for the month is going to be prorated or not. The representative confirmed that it would be prorated. Also I did not know my pin so I had go to the branch and change the pin for me. Then I started porting over my number. Later I called Verizon Customer Service to confirm, the representative said that the service was still active and I will be charged a fee for the full month. The I went to the branch again, because I wanted to clarify these two  controversial statements in person, an associate that was helping pulled up my account, saw the porting request and confirmed that the bill will be prorated and I would receive a final bill. Having got this confirmation, I went online and confirmed porting request with my new pin.
I have not got the final bill via mail, and I could not log in into online system, instead I just received a notice that there was balance to pay. The number was too big, so I had to go to the branch and spend 1.5h to find out that that I was charged for the full month, because they don't prorate if port out your number. But it is controversial to what I was originally. I was in the branch before and after porting my number, every time I was told that the billing would be prorated. Unfortunately, talking to an associate and a store manager did not help.
I think it makes sense to file a complaint, so I wonder if anyone had similar experience they would like to share?

As a general advice: whenever you talk to someone from Verizon, make sure they put a note on you profile or try to get at least some sort of record that the conversation has happened and what it has been about.
So far, I find that AT&T Customer Service is mush better and faster, will see how it goes further.

If you ported out a day before your bill closing date you would have no further amount owed since you pay in advance for service up to that date.
However you get no pro rata you just don't owe more to verizon. If you port out before you pay the next bill (one day after the bill closing date up to closing date you owe for the full month even though you ported out )
You did not port out on the last day of you bill date so you will owe.
Now you also did not need to call Verizon and tell them you were leaving. Simply walk into AT&T and give them your account number and pin. Which is normally the last four digits of your SSN.
They do all the rest.
You made the process much more difficult than it needed to be.

    The first bill is almost always higher because of prorated charges.  So if your bill prints on the 15th and you started service on the 30th of the prior month, your first bill will have half a month's charge for the 30th-15th, then the usual month in advance charges for the 15th-14th of the next month.  Discounts for autopay, I believe, take a month or two to show up.  There is a plan for people 65+, and you should be able to change to that plan if you want to, just make sure the change is set to take place the first day of the next bill period. 
    The other $40 in charges probably include activation and possibly insurance on the phone, and you should be able to pull up a detailed bill in MyVerizon with each line charge described. 
    How did you start your service?  Did you go to a store, call, or order online?  The ETF for a smartphone is $350, not $380, and if you were not informed of that you should have been, although if I were setting up service with a contract, I ask the terms of the contract, like fees, time frame, service and all that. Did you enter the agreement under the impression that there was no penalty for early cancellation?
    Finally, this is primarily a customer to customer forum with occasional input from reps.  They are identified with a Verizon logo.  If you need immediate action, you will need to call.  I hope you are able to get everything straightened out and explained! 

  • Billing document not cleared when processing Payment cards in Sales order

    I am having an issue with Payment card processing (credit card). We are using SAP R/3 4.7. When I use manual authorization, the status of billing document still shows "A" incomplete. The status shows authorization successful but not settled in billing document.The accounting document when billed shows not cleared.We are not using any interface for credit processing. The authorization check is done outside of the system manually. We are planning to use manual authorization for all such transactions. I am not sure if any specific config is to be done or am I misssing something.
    Any inputs in this regard would highly be appreciated.

    Please also check to see if the field VBAP-ABFOR is filled for the line item (This is the Form of payment guarantee). Without this field filled the billing does not know that the item will be covered by payment cards.
    VBAP-ABGES (Guaranteed (factor between 0 and 1)) should also be filled with 1.

  • Billing document not reversed

    I am not  SAP consultant.
    Pls help me, previously i had reversed one  billing document through Vf11 ,then reversed VL09 delivery and cancelled the Sales order.But now billing document not reversed.Again go to reverse throuh VF11 Getting error as No billing documents were generated. See log

    Go to: VOV7
    Select Item Cat. as "TAN" and Double Click.
    In Tab: Business Data, Check the entry for Field: Billing Relevance.
    Entry must be "A - Delivery-related billing document"
    Another check:
    Go to: VTFL
    Select Delivery-Billing Combination.
    Go to Item (left-hand tree structure).
    Select Item cat. as "TAN".
    Here, in Field: Copying requirement, Check entry as "004 - Deliv-related item"

    I am trying to create billing document using “<b>BAPI_BILLINGDOC_CREATEMULTIPLE</b>”. Please check code below for my BAPI preparation. Problem is billing document not getting created, in return table message type ‘I’ Message ID ‘VF’  Number ‘044’ Message ‘<b>The item is not relevant for billin</b>g’ and “SUCCESS” table is blank. If I use same sales order via VF01, billing document does get created.
    I will commit once I get return ‘S’. But have you people come across such kind of message. Any ideas or sample code will be of much help. Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
    It seems that you missed the reference document category field which is called "REF_DOC_CA" in that BAPI function.
    And as you might know, the possible values are kept in the domain VBTYP (SD document category).

    Hi Gurus,
    When i am creating a Billing Document VF01....after completion of VL01n...the system shows an error Billing Document not generated...
    Please help me

    To resolve the error, you can analyze account determination in the billing document. Process:
    Goto T.Code: VF02 & Enter Invoice number
    Next (On the top most strip) goto Environment
    Next (Select Environment) go to Account determination
    Next (In Account Determination) select Revenue Account Determination (first option)
    This will list all the condition types in the Billing document & analyze each condition & check for which G/L accounts is not determined.
    Possible errors:
    1. VKOA not maintained for required combination
    Solution: Maintain the combination in VKOA.
    2. Account Assignment of Customer / material not maintained in Customer / Material Master (If maintained in combination in VKOA).
    Solution:
    Option 1 (Standard solution):
    step 1: Cancel Billing Document --> Reverse PGI --> cancel Delivery --> Cancel Sales Order
    step 2: Maintain Customer master / Material Master correctly.
    step 3: Recreate sales Order --> Delivery --> PGI --> Invoicing.
    Option 2:
    Force the Account Assignment Group of Customer / Material through Debug in change mode of Billing document, which will release Billing Document to Accounting.
    3. Account Key not maintained in Pricing Procedure:
    Impact: This may create accounting document, but if condition type, which are to be posted to account, but do not have account key maintained in pricing procedure, it will not be post the relevant condition type to G/L account.
    From FI Side, you require to check that all the G/L account has been maintained through T.Code: FS00. G/L account being Master data has to be created in each client ot uploaded through LSMW / SCATT / BDC.
    In Billing Document in change mode (in the first screen where we enter Billing Document number), on the top most left hand corner, take a dropdown on Billing Document & select Release to accounting. Here you can get the under mentioned possible message:
    1. G/L account not found
    2. Cost Element not maintained for G/L account.
    In both the above cases, FI consultant requires to take corrective action.

    I checked in Table Level ,here all data is Stored...I mean data is there.

    Hi Venky,
                   Go to the "VBRK" table and see If the billing document is there. If it is there ,  take that number and key in that number in VBFA and take the prevoius(DEL/ORDER) number and go to VL02N/VA02 and click on document flow, Check if the Billing document is shown ther or not. If it is not, check the status of the preceding document and It will tell you If it is billed or not. If it it check "V.01" and select Billing document check box and see if these documents are incomplete by any means(Even if it is incomplete system should show the document once it has allowed you to save it. I think you are getting the error message "BILLING DOC DOES NOT EXIST/ARCHIVED". You get this error some times when the database does not get updated. Check all of these and kindly let me know If you need any more help on this.

  • Billing Error : Not processed

    Dear Gurus,
    I am facing a problem where I have created a Scheduling Agreement for a customer of 10 items and I have have maintained schedule lines for 4 Items and target quantities for the same. system is allowing me to deliver the 4 items but when I am trying to bill the items it is showing Not Processed and billing is not done.
    Although if I maintain target quantity and schedule line for the rest 6 items, then only system is allowing me to bill the 4 items.
    I checked the Copy control routine for LF=> F2  it is '003' and in it Message '069' is the reason for this error.
    I think this Error is occuring due to Incompletion Log but am unable to solve it.
    My requirment is I donot want to maintain the schedule lines & target quantity for the rest 6 items as i donot want to deliver the items immediatly, So I should be able to bill the first 4 materials, although I am creating a Scheduling agreement for all 10 items.

    I tested this scenario in Sand Box.
    There is an incompletion log for the Item in the Sales order  for the CUSTOMER  MATERIAL in the ORDER DATA.
    Please check the Incompletion log in the sales order  and complete the data.

    Maybe you are trying to post FI document which does not correspond to SAP standard.  
    Check if your document has 2 line items with the same tax code AA and tax        
    condition MWS (one tax rate 0% and 30 %, for instance). It must be either different   
    tax codes and or tax conditions.

    Please ensure that the Copying Requirement routine 003 is assigned at the header for your billing and delivery type in transaction VTFL. Also set up 004 at the item level. I hope this will resolve the issue.
