We have Comcast internet at my apartment. We have a wireless router. My room mates PC works on the wireless. My Mac book pro does not. However, My Mac book Pro DOES work anywhere else I take it. (Library, coffe house etc.) The tech from Comcast stated I need to have Apple take a look at it as it doesn't recognize the ip address. Thoughts?......

I have went thru the exact same problems trying to upgrade the wireless card in my DV7. It is very frustrating that the wireless card can't be upgrade to one that supports 5Ghz. I see we are not the only ones that have had this problem.

Try to follow below steps
Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
It will open Go to folder window, type exactly ~/Library and click on Go
Then open Application Support > Adobe folders
Trash AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.
Now click on finder and hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad.
This time type /Library and click on Go.
Make sure to remove ~ symbol.
Then open Application Support > Adobe folders.
Trash AAMUpdater, Adobe Application manager, OOBE folders.
Now Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + U keys on your keypad.
It will open utilities folder.
Trash Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folders
Download and Run CC cleaner tool from below link

I have been trying to convert images created in webex and transferred to illustrator into 300 dpi tifs. They download as ucf's when generated on white board. Or I have to upload files from other webex participants coming in at 72 dpi, converting them to something bigger in photoshop to paint in before taking them back into the webex session as a doc that then gets worked on further during the session. Later they go into illustrator for some more work with vectors. That's fine for the web but now a publisher wants them as 300 dpi tifs and I can only get things back & forth as 72 dpi pdf's. If I try to bump them up with a resample, they come out teensy weensy. What am I missing and is there any way to make them look good?

What I need is to be able to transfer the images between formats without degradation of the resolution and find ways to sharpen what I have even if I can't increase pixels. If the original I'm delivered is a 96 dpi power point slide, for example, that's what I have to work with, I'm using Illustrator to compensate with vectors. But then I still need to get it back to a 300 dpi tiff to meet the specs.

First, the app must be universal...designed for both iPhone/iPad:
Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.

Which iMac do you have? There are many variants made since 1998 that have different optical drive systems.
Do "About this Mac.." from the Apple menu and post what that window shows. If its shows Processor" as "Intel," you should repost in the forum for current iMacs here:

First, reset the SMC. It will restore the fan speed, so if it was changed, it will be restored to normal settings and the fan will work correctly

Firstly you need to install Software and drivers for your printer on your Windows 8 machine using the following file:

Microsoft Picture It is not compatible with Windows 8 therefore you can't use it anyway:

You can simply scan as jpg files and use them for other software.

Guys! I'm new to OS X and not used to it so I tried installing Windows 7 having the thought that it's as easy as on ordinary laptops. Installation was succesfull, Installed it by first going to a "boot utility like" screen while it's still on OS X, Deleted all those partitions, Placed a Windows 7 disc in the disc drive and on the Windows installation menu I also deleted the partiotions I saw. After all that my MacBook successfuly is running Windows 7 but problems appeared like no backlight on the keyboard, Trackpad is no longger functioning well and the audio jack has this f*cking red light. :'( I admit this is all my fault and I really need to find a solution to get it running on OS X again. Please help!!! Sorry for my bad english... And also, While booting up, There is no more Apple logo but a silver screen then Windows...

A partition is just a section of the disk set aside for a particular purpose. In this case, we're talking about a Mac partition and a Windows partition. They have different formats, which is how the data is stored. The disks that came with your Mac will create the Mac partition when you install, but most likely you'll lose the Windows partition. You've got kind of a mess at this point. What you should do is install the Mac OS and get everything as you want it. Then run Bootcamp to create a Windows partition and let Bootcamp do the Windows installation for you. Grant gave you good advice earlier. Don't let Windows do any partitioning. That's how you got into this mess.

My 2nd Gen iPod touch would not finish backing up to update to 4.2 firmware. So I tried to restore it, and it failed to restore. It shows the "Connect to iTunes" logo and iTunes will not recognize it. How can I get iTunes to recognize it?

I have tried to remove the app and re-download the app incase it was corrupted, but still had the same problems. The only way at this point to get a refund on an app would be using Apple's direct online support feature "Express Lane." It's actually quite a cool feature. I believe reimbursment as of right now only has email support but the reps are extremely fast, thourough and helpful. I'll toss you a link at the bottom of this page, go ahead and choose all the applicable options and give a detailed description about the situation and I think they will take good care of you.

How can I get a version of Final Cut Pro X that works on OS Mountain Lion?

I just downgraded my laptop to its original OS (Lion) and will be upgrading soon to Mountain Lion because this laptop is too old to work with Mavericks or Yosemeti. So far Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor (which I had originally purchased when I first bought the computer) do not work. Will Final Cut Pro X work on Mountain Lion? If not, what can I do to get a version that will work?

10.0.9 is the latest version compatible with Mountain Lion. I found this article which may help you:

At the time it was written it was apparently possible to download from the app store with a computer running ML. Maybe this is still the case.
FCP 10.1. has video requirements which are not met by older machines. I'm not sue about 10.0.9 but that might possibly be a 'gotcha'
I'm a bit confused though since if you downgraded you laptop to Lion but Mountain Lion is the latest OS it will run then you must have been running ML already
