My computer sometimes doesn't send out my e-mails

My MacBook sometimes doesn't send out my e-mails.  I need to send them directly from the server to be certain they go out.  Random recipients and random e-mails.

Hi CamarilloJuls,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there is an intermittent issue sending emails from your Mac. The article linked below provides a lot of great information and tips that should resolve most issues related to sending email on a Mac.

There is no such option/setting on an iPhone to determine this. Whether you can view the attachment has more to do with your connection, WiFi or cellular, and the size of the attachment than anything else. There will be a paperclip indicating the message includes an attachment regardless if downloaded with the message or not. When connected to the cellular network, if an attachment is below a designated size the attachment will be downloaded automatically. If over a certain size, you must select the attached file icon in the body of the message to download the attachment. The size limit varies by carrier/provider.

  • My iCloud says account not verified but doesn't send me an e-mail for verificationl

my iCloud says account not verified but doesn't send me an e-mail for verificationl, have tried this maney times but no e-mail reply ?

Check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether. You may also wish to contact your mail provider to see if their spam filters are removing the email before it gets to you.

  • DIAdem dac combined with NI PCIe 6259 doesn't send out data

    Hi,
    I have a NI PCIe 6259 card & DIAdem 11.2.0 (2010 version) on a windows 7 PC.
Analog inputs & analog + digital outputs are configurated in MAX 9.8.0f0. (Global virtual channels)
When I run a dac, analog inputs works perfect.
Both analog and digital outputs doesn't work. Only one of the four analog outputs give out the value which was send out.
In the past I had the same problems with this DIAdem version in combination with a thirth party USB card, but this was solved by new firmware & software drivers.
    Someone who had similar problems?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello,
I Tried the testpanel. Both analog and digital outputs works correctly.
I have no experience with labview. So this card isn't tested with labview.
One time the digital outputs works with DIAdem, mostly it didn't work. Analog outputs are OK.
    GfsDAQ driver version is 11.2.0.
I suppose that this has caused by driver problems.

  • Mail doesn't send to certain e-mail addresses, receiving seems ok

I am using the latest version of the Apple Mail application under Leopard (with all updates downloaded). About a month ago I e-mailed a friend from my home account and unusually didn’t get a reply. I then e-mailed again a few weeks after, again no reply. After a phone conversation found out she didn’t receive either of my mails. This prompted many test e-mails, the outcome of which was the following:
1 - Was able to receive my friend’s e-mails, but if I replied using Apple mail (hitting the reply button), my reply never got back to her.
2 - Was able to send to and receive my friend’s e-mails using MS outlook from my place of work using a PC and my work e-mail account. No problems.
3 - Was able to send and receive to my work account from my home account using Apple Mail, no problems.
4 - Was able to send and receive my friend e-mails from my home account, using web mail rather than using Apple Mail.
5 - Could no longer e-mail my wife using the Apple Mail (and she could not e-mail me), we both use the same ISP. However using web mail rather than Apple Mail we could still send and receive e-mails from each other.
6 - Phoned my ISP, my account seems to be ok, which was also confirmed by using webmail as described in the previous two points.
7 - Other than the regular Apple updates the Mail app is the same client I have been using since I got my new Mac last October. I didn’t appear to have any problems until about a month ago and have made no changes to settings etc.
8 - When I do attempt to send e-mails to my wife or friend, I get the usual whooshing sound and a progress bar to show that the mail has been sent. The outbox is empty and the mail appears in the sent box, but never arrives to its destination. No error messages or e-mail bounce backs, nothing.
9 - Downloaded and installed Thunderbird, all the problems seem to go away – I can now send and receive e-mails from both my wife and friend.
It’s a bit weird that Apple Mail seems to have taken an aversion to sending mail to some particular e-mail addresses. Unless someone can explain what is going on here, I think that this is a serious problem. As I’ve mentioned, there is no hint that Apple Mail is not sending e-mail, as far as I was concerned e-mails were leaving my Mac. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there an easy fix?

I just did a quick test in InDesign CC and my one worked. Maybe you should delete the button and redo it.
By the way on a slightly different matter, do you know that to enable users to complete the form and store it on their computer using Acrobat Reader, you need to enable the form as follows:
Open the form in Acrobat XI  and then:
File > Save As Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes for fill-in & save). . . Your users will be able to fill in the form and save it (assuming they have the later versions of Acrobat Reader).
Make sure you keep a copy of your original PDF with a different file name as once you've created a Reader Enabled PDF Form you can't change it.

  • Mac Mail sending out multiple e-mails

    Dear All,
My friend reports that today he is receiving 3 copies of every e-mail message that I send him.  I'm working on a Mac Pro, Lion 10.7.5, using Mac Mail through Yahoo, and I have only one account.  I have an iPod touch, but I have never sent e-mail through that device nor signed up for it on the iPod -- I only use my Mac desktop for sending and receiving e-mails.  Anyone else having this recent problem?  I never had it before today!  Thanks.

Are you sure it's the Mac sending out the spam, or just spam masquerading as coming from your email account (the From: line is ridiculously simple to forge)?
While it's clearly possible to devise a system to cause a Mac to send out spam email (or any other computer for that matter), it wouldn't be terribly efficient for the spammer.  Even when they take over zombie machines (and unpatched Windows XP systems are the favorites there) the spammer would prefer to use the machine to send out all kinds of email *AND* would attempt not to draw attention to the actual machine sending out the stuff.
That is, where it *appears* to be coming from will generally not be where it is coming from.
What malware prefers to do is "harvest" an address book from a user's computer (or, more often these days, from an online address book after phishing the credentials from the user) and then using that to send out emails to your contacts that look like they come from you so that they are more likely to be opened.  If that's what has happened, there's nothing you could do to the Mac at this point to get that data back.
Again, while it is clearly possible to harvest that data under either OSX or Windows 7 from your address book in either platform, it is considerably more difficult to do that than to go after your credentials for an online site using a phishing attack and then make use of the contact information.

  • I am receiving a connection error and can't send out yahoo e-mails. I can surf and use another browser with no problem what happened all of a sudden with my firefox?

    I can't send out e-mails! I get a connection error message.
I can receive messages, surf the web via Firefox.
The only related thing to this occurrence is that I received a notice from Firefox recommending that I disable a Skype extension, which I did. Not sure if this is connected.

    somegirl wrote:
    1. Change your server to outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net - This is the correct outbound server for Verizon Yahoo accounts.
    2. Make sure the setting for "outgoing server requires authentication" is selected. - It should auth with your vz username and password
If you are still having trouble, post the error. (The error you've posted here is for the wrong server.)
Well, I had already done those things before.  The message I got when I tried is:
An error occurred while sending mail.  The mail server responded: From address not verified - see http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/manage/sendfrom-07.html.  Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again.
I had input the email address without the @verizon.net extension.  That's exactly how I input it in the pop3 set-up for receiving e-mail and it works there.
So I went to the link that is referenced in the error message.  It basically had me go to my Yahoo mail account page.  I was directed to add an account with a different email address.  A verification code was then sent to me via email that I then had to input into the new account's setup page in order to activate my Yahoo mail for smtp use.  Once I input the code and validated I was then able to send e-mails just fine with Thunderbird.  I was able to use my @verizon.net email address and not the new account I had created.
Bottom line - I had to activate/validate my account before I could send email.  I had not read about this anywhere when trying to figure out what was wrong.

  • Why can't I send out messages on Mail?

I'm able to receive mail but I can't send out any. I've tried troubleshooting, like checking if the outgoing server is correct and reviewed everything in my preferences.... everything looks normal from the info Yahoo provided me with. I've also tried the Connection Doctor and it said both incoming and outgoing serveres successfully connected with the internet.
What more can I do? This issue just suddenly came up out of nowhere.
Also, I don't know if it has anything to do with it but when I tried sending out an email to a large group of people after attempting it on Mail unsuccessfully, Yahoo wouldn't let me for "suspicious activity" on my account. I don't know what's that about.
    Thanks,
    Christelle

I am guessing you're asking about picture messages as mesages, not emails.
Go to Settings > Messages and make sure "Send as SMS" is "On".  Also "MMS Messaging" must be "On".

  • Send out a mass mailing from my ipad 2

I have an ipad 2 wifi and want to carry out a mass mailing but do not have my contacts sorted into groups as yet. Do I have to manually select everyone to add them to the list for my mailing out?
I want to tell people I have anew email address as an old one will become obsolete soon. Any advice!?

In thumbnail view in the Photos app you should be able to use the icon top right of the box with the arrow coming out of it to select up to 5 photos and then use the Share button top left to attach them to an email

    Hello,
To see if it's your provider, What's my ip...
    http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/
Start with these three, check SpamCop or SpamHaus to see if your IP is there...
    http://spamcop.net/bl.shtml
    http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup.lasso
    http://www.spamhaus.org/zen/
Sometimes an ISP will bloc a whole other ISP too, if it's the source of too much SPAM.

  • Wiki server sometimes doesn't save messages in e-mail backlog

When you have a wiki set up with a mail-group service, it gives you a very nice and convenient backlog of the messages. However, sometimes it inexplicably only saves the title of the message and discards the body. I haven't managed to figure out why and I haven't seen anything weird in the logs either.
I did notice the following piece of code in /usr/share/wikid/lib/python/apple_utilities/MailBundler.py on line 89 and onward:
    try:
    bundleContent = handleMessage(message, dstPath, uid=uid)
    except Exception, err:
    from twisted.python import failure
    failure.Failure().printTraceback()
    print "Could not process %s: %s" % (message.get('message-id'),
    err)
    aBundle.setContentFiltered(bundleContent)
    aBundle.save('First created', 'firstSave')
    backupMessage(message, group)
    return aBundle
Can it be that an exception was thrown and thus it didn't actually set bundleContent (I'm assuming this is the mail body)? Where can I read the log from that exception in that case? I've looked in the error log (and access log actually) at /Library/Logs/wikid and couldn't find anything about the issue. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

I've found that this is indeed a problem in the python scripts and it rears its head when an e-mail contains illegal characters. I'm not entirely sure how to fix it yet, but I've spotted the bug by modifying /var/teamsserver/.forward to pipe stderr to a log file in /tmp. The issue begins in DOMContentFilterBase.py on line 26. Specifically, it's the call to encode() that throws an exception. I've tried to modify the code but haven't yet been able to fix the bug. I'll report back when I've managed to fix it.

  • Why can't I send out company e-mail or delete items in my company inbox?

I cannot send or delete email from my company e-mail site. I added my CRM into the pop up blocker but that didn't help.

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

  • Something gets corrupted then email won't send out of Apple mail

I believe something gets corrupted in Mail and then won't allow email to be sent.  I had realized this problem seveal months ago on my Sister in law's Macbook.  I had created a new mail file and noticed I had this problem with sending mail.  So I'd deleted that one and created a new mail file.  Same problem, I started over again.  This time it seemed to work  Well that was until arond April.  She said she was getting the message that mail could not be sent out of mail several months ago.  Checking her Outbox, she has messages that go back to April that never sent.
I don't know what keeps happening to Mail and whhy after months of functioning correctly, it will suddenly just stop working, that is, mail will no longer send.  She has no problems receiving it.  Only sending.  Her ISP is Comcast so I wouldn't think it would be their problem, but I don't know what else it could be.
    Looking for ideas!
    Thanks,
    Jeff

Here's the thing. I have all the correct setting from Comcast and everytime I've setup Mail on her Macbook I've entereted them correctly.  Like i said, it had been working, up until April.  Oh when I say created a new mail file I mean that I created a new Account rather than changed the settings in the existing account.  That will create a whole new mail file.
    The message she gets is:
The server “smtp.comcast.net” cannot be contacted on the default ports.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
I believe that is her smtp server.  I don't have her laptop in front of me, since she lives 300+ miles away.  i don't understand how something that works for months at a time would suddenly just stop working all together.  She had been able to send mail from last Christmas until April.  That's why I assumed something on her  systrem had corrupted.
    Thanks,
    Jeff

  • Doesn't send me an e-mail to reset my password

I had made an Apple ID for my iPad, but when I tried to log into my Apple ID account in settings under iTunes&App Stores, it said that "Your Apple ID or password is incorrect". I repeatedly tried to log in, but it continued to inform me that it was incorrect. So then I clicked "Forgot Apple ID and Password?" in order to reset my password. However, when I chose "Email authentication" I waited and waited but an e-mail never came. I also tried this multiple times. So then after I decided to try and click "Answer security questions", but I never got to my questions because it told me that the birthdate I entered "did not match their records". Can someone help me with this problem?

Whew, so sorry to hear Jimmy.
