My fcpx 'sees' the movies in side window, but won't let me drag them into the timeline. Any idea why?

problem started when i moved my whole photo library to an external. FCPX wouldn't see it, so I moved it back- to the original spot/. And still fcpx wouldn't relink. So i started to 'rebuild' my movie and drag movie clips again into the timeline but it won't let me (tho it 'see's the clips when i click on 'camera' icon).
It allows me to drag in the original pics (jpegs) but not any of the movies ...arghhh pls help thx!!!!

What version are you using with 10.8.5? Why did you import video into iPhoto? What are the complete specs of the video files? Are they in formats that are compatible with FCP?

I've been making my iTunes music purchases on my iPhone for over a year now. I bought a new one so I relied on iCloud to keep my purchases on record. When downloading my songs, I saw that some of them were missing. When I logged into the iTunes store, it said that the albums (yes entire albums are missing) have been "PURCHASED", therefore I can't buy them again. You really should change both the wireless network name and password to avoid potential conflicts with the old and new settings.
Suggest you give that a try.

Under the summary tab in iTunes make sure you have Automatically Back Up This computer. If you have iCloud selected it won't back up when syncing.

You aren't playing them back with sound muted on the iPad are you?
If you lose sound for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email and other notifications, system sounds have probably been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled in two different ways: either by the side switch (located next to the volume up/down controls) or in the Recent Apps tray. The initial default is via the side switch.
Check the status of Settings > General > Use Side Switch to:. If this is set to Mute, the switch on the side of the iPad will mute system sounds.
If this is set to Lock rotation then the mute system sounds control is in the Recent Apps tray. Double tap the home button and, in the tray which appears at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is on the left. Is it is crossed-out tap on it and mute will be turned off and system sounds will be turned ON.

By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course.

IMovie won't let me drag photos into the project???

iMovie has never done this to me before. I have made several projects in the past year with no troubles. Now (after having to put a new HD in my iMac and reinstall my software) I have opened iMovie to make a new project and it's giving me trouble.
Basically, I can create a new project. I can create a Title card at the beginning of the project, I can even drag in one or two photos from iphoto, but no more than that. When I select 40 photos from an iphoto album and drag them to the stage, it says "importing photos", but the progress bar does not go any further than 10%, and I always have to force quit the program.
Help?!

Also run Disk Utility and verify/repair permissions. Then verify the hard drive.
You may need something like Disk Warrior to repair your HDD or files. That's assuming that Disk Util has found a problem it can't fix (DU will tell you if it can't fix something).
Also try shutting everything down and unplugging all from the wall socket. Wait 30 seconds then plug back in again and reboot when your router LED is gren again.

I open Firefox and the Start page opens . And a tab window also opens up to a site called Game Vat . Any idea why ?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Well, if the video displays after publishing then nothing is wrong.
If you cannot see the video in iWeb, then your code probably does not allow it to display in the application.
In that case, imagine that you see the video.
If that's too difficult, use a picture.

Some of my bookmarks have ost their icon picture on the toolbar, any idea why that would happen, and how to fix it?

The version 8.0.1 of firefox is what made this problem happen. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled an older version of firefox. Now everything is back to normal.
