Ok. Not really ready to kill me, but I really need to find an enduring fix that allows me calendar access via VPN, Wireless and on site.

If you really want help, stop messing with the fonts and post so that others can read and offer suggestions.
Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.
I have found that many times it is the things that make you most angry that push you to action. This was the case here. Thank you for causing me to get so angry that I found the answer myself.

Can i make this work with a number specified in the constructor?

I posted a couple of days ago and i have managed to advance a bit since then.
Here i have a class called "flower" and it draws a flower with two leaves and 12 petals using the classes "petal and "leaf".
However, ideally i would like to be able to make this work with a number of petals specified in the constructor, not just 12.
is this possible or do i need to rewrite the entire class?

Your NewFlower class extends petal. You NewFlower constructor calls super( color, petnum ), so the petal constructor is invoked. In the petal constructor, you ignore petNum. You do nothing else in the NewFlower constructor, so petNum is ignored there as well.
What makes you think that in this orgy of ignoring petNum, that any petNum variable will magically get set, or that your flower will now magically have the right number of petals?

What exactly are you trying to download on what system? Feel free to download to external drives to bypass the immediate bottleneck, but that may not resolve your issue once you install....

Your songs would only be there if you put them there. They do not magically appear in another place.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Auto capitalisation of the letter I? How can I make this work?

My macbook Air is great but it doesn't automatically capitalise the letter I which is painful when writing assignments as they are so easy to miss! I tried making a shortcut but you must have more than one character and no spaces. Is there a setting I can change to make it work? Someone please help!!!

PS Of course this kind of thing also depends on the app you are using to write with. Pages 4 can do it, and probably some other apps as well.

I'm wondering if there might be a problem with the permissions in facebook. In order for an app to post to Facebook the user must sign in to Facebook and give that ap permission. You might check your Facebook account to see if iPhoto for iOS has permission or might be blocked.

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

ITunes is no longer syncing to Apple TV. I have been using my Apple TV Gen 1 for 3 years with good success. For reasons unknown to me, iTunes no longer syncs with my Apple TV. It says/looks like it's syncing but never gets through the first song.

iTunes sees the Apple TV as a device. I have it set to manual sync. I have it set to sync my entire library (I have only 10 CDs in my library). It says it is syncing. The wheel goes round and round. The song it is syncing is listed. The number of songs that are to by synced is listed. but it never gets through syncing the song. I have also set it to sync my photos, but never gets to them. I seem to have a good wireless connection to my Apple TV. I am able to talk between my PC and my Apple TV, but now it won't sync. Note: I have been playing music on my Apple TV for 3 years with good success (with hundreds of songs), but it no longer seems to work like it did. Thanks.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

I'd keep trying the other way. You may have hit it when BC was doing an update or something. If it works one way it should work the other way. But sometimes BC can be kind of temperamental and you have to do a little dance or something to get it to work. But it generally comes around and fixes itself in short time.
Have you tried the other way again?

Did you restore the phone as a new device when you did the restore/unlock, or did you restore it from an existing backup? I have found that when unlocking an iPhone on the AT&T network, you don't get the message that the unlock was successful if you don't restore as a new device. The unlock still works, you just don't get the message. Perhaps it is not carrier specific for this behavior.

So,there was no necessity of creating DNS.How your app communicates with db shouldn't matter for the end user. Still, you may want to use a functional network name also for the thin client driver connection string.

You have caused some serious damage to parts of your computer, and likely voided the warranty until Apple completes a repair and re-certifies it.
Step one is to turn it off and do NOT (did I say do NOT yet?) turn it on again yourself.
Take it to an Apple store and be prepared for a large repair bill.
