Computer crashed i reinstalled CS5 but it will not take my serial number

My computer crashed and I reinstalled CS5 from the download sight. I have a license for two computers which was installed on two iMac computers. The one iMac crashed and I could not get in my hard drive, so I purchased a MacBook Pro. I called Adobe and they gave me a case number 0215153209 along with the web sight to download the software and my serial number of the product. I downloaded the product but it will not accept the serial number. I wonder, since I had it installed on two computers and I was unable to delete the software from the computer that crashed that it thinks I'm trying to load it on a third computer? I do I over come this?

If you are receiving the error message that the serial number is invalid then can you provide a bit more history? You indicated an iMac crashed and you could not get into your hard drive and then bought a MacBook Pro. Were any files or folders transferred from the iMac to the MacBook Pro?

Could you please let me know what error prompts on your screen when you are trying to enter the serial number.
Have you bought subscription for Acrobat, if yes then you might need to sign in at "adobe.com" using your Adobe ID credentials to activate subscription.

No.
Whoever sold you the laptop should have removed the software first, or gone through the proper process to transfer the license to you. Chances are that they used it to obtain an upgrade, in which case it would not even to eligible to be transferred.

If the phone is Activation Locked the phone is useless to you. There is no way around Apple's antitheft feature. To check this go to Settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone. When i try to report the problem, it says it has found an issue and gives me a link to a solution....but wont let me click on the link.... PLEASE HELP! It's killing my productivity.

If the crash started right after you added RAM, it could be a bad Ram dimm. You can try this - change the amount of RAM in Photoshop to 4G, this should stop Photoshop from using the higher ram. If it doesn't crash, it's probably the ram. Or run a diagnostic app. You don't say when it crashes, what you're doing when it crashes - it there a pattern? Did it ever work on this computer? Did it work on your previous computer? Without a lot of data, it could be related to the new computer... What OS version? Did you recently update it? Have you updated Photoshop to the most recent update?
Do you have any plug-ins loaded? Try restarting Photoshop, and immediately press & hold the shfit key to turn off plug-ins.
