My ipad air spends more time buffering than it should

My iPad Air spends more time burreing than it should. I have 3 iPads 1 and 3 generation and the Air. The 2 older iPads don't have this problem. Is there a setting that is causing this or dose my Air have a problem???

Hello DLM100,
Internet connection on your iPad Air is slower than expected.  I recommend reviewing the section titled "Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected" in the following article for the issue you described:

  • Spend more time updating than using iTunes

    Is there any sodding chance that I could actually open the **** program twice without having to;
A; say no to installing an update
B; backup my library(been wiped out twice by updating)
    c; downloading updates
    d; installing updates
e; telling Quicktime I don't want it to install a tray icon
f; reopening and agreeing to EULA
g; waiting for an age while new version of iTunes goes through the libray
h; getting bored and putting a CD on my stereo
Just stop f@*king about with it and make it work, then leave it the **** alone!

I forgot to mention the fact that every update requires all the links to be deleted and recreated.
It cannot be a unit problem as I have 7 computers and other people are talking about some of these issues on other threads.
HELLO APPLE! please sort it out, but then Mr J was never known for LISTENING to anyone let alone his customers!

  • What's the power of spending more time every day in your IT career ?

What's the power of spending more time every day in your IT career ?
When you do the research to find the factors of the successful people, you'll find that they ALWAYS spent a lot of time every day in their businesses.
The IT technologies change so fast and explode. The performance of IT people with 20 years experiences can be EASILY catched up by a IT people, maybe you, who has only 6 or 7 years or even less if you spend over 80 hours or even more every week on your job and on the latest technologies.
    The reasons are listed below:
    1. The out-of-date IT technologies is no use anymore. It's like the out-of-date IT books. The people with 20 years experience can't rely on his last experience any more.
    2. If you spend 80 hours every week, you'll absorb doubled the knowledge and experience than the people who spends only 40 hours every week. You may catch up with him who has 20 years experiences with your 10 years experiences. Not only this, most of your knowledge and experiences are newer and useful than his.
    3. Because you spend 80 hours, you have plenty of time to focus on your tasks. When the task comes in, you may finish your tasks many times faster than him and you may be the only person who still has the time to do any extra or urgent tasks. Because you have more time, you may prepare your next task to be ready to finish your next task even faster and you may absorb the latest IT technologies from a learner level to an expert level while other people is still doing his tasks. And due to your more spare time to learn the technologies all the time needed to do your task, you have much more knowledge needed to do your task and can finish your task much faster than others.
According to my experience, if the comparison of the knowledge the worker has is 1 to 5, the real hours needed to finish a task may be 1 to 10. In IT field, if you know how to do it, you need minutes, but if you don't know how to do it, you need months to do the error-try or starting to learn it and do it. Please notice that the knowledge can be used for many times and the 1 to 5 and 1 to 10 comparisons will repeat again and again. Without spending more time on getting more knowledge, the comparison of 1 to 10 is still happening.
    4. Like trying to save the money, most of his 40 hours will be spent on his tasks. He may have only 5 hours left to learn new IT technologies. If you still need to spend the same time to finish your tasks like him, you still will have 45 hours to learn new technologies. You grow 9 times, 5 hours to 45 hours, faster than him. If you keep working and learning the new IT technologies 80 hours every week, you'll find that you'll need much less than 35 hours like him, you may have 60 or even more hours every week to do more tasks to get more experiences and to learn more latest technologies.

    1) LabVIEW is a graphical based programming environment and
LabWindows/CVI is a C based programming environment.  Both can be used
for similar tasks.  Users familiar with C may prefer CVI.  LabVIEW is
typically easier to learn if you are unfamiliar with both.
     2)
The Run-Time Engine is a separate component that can be installed to
execute LabWindows/CVI programs and LabVIEW programs.  It is free of
charge for both LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI.
    3)
LabWindows/CVI does not convert any LabVIEW programs into C code.
LabVIEW programs are already compiled as you write them, so you won't
need to convert them to C to use them.  You should see similar
performance in similar LabVIEW and CVI code.

  • I have two phones, one (4S) with Bell in Canada, the other (5, soon enough) with ATT in the US. Since I spend more time in Canada, I'd rather the 5 up there. Can I swap the sim cards? Neither phone is unlocked.

iphone 5 will use nanosim instead of microsim so that one won't work
you could check you with carrier to see if they will give you another sim though but I dunno if the ATT 5 will have the right data bands so you might not get LTE or w/e

  • Does Cellular iPad Air provides more bang for your buck than iPad 2?

My question is really, with a Bell iPad flex-plan, would you get faster downloads and get do do more with 1 or 2 GBs of data, if you were subscribing with an iPad Air rather than an iPad 2?

I'm not talking about what to buy. I have an iPad 2 already. Plan to wait for next release before buying again.
Would only consider buying an air IF it was going to be much faster and allow we to stream video and download apps, etcetera using significantly less data -- so I get more bang for my cellular buck.
Most likely, only someone who has actually used a cellular service provider with both an iPad 2 and then with an iPad Air will be able to answer this question.

  • Screen on iPad Air Feels Different When Touching Than iPad 2

i just got an iPad Air and while it works great, and the screen is responsive, it feels different when I touch the screen to do something, than my iPad 2 did, or the iPad Mini w/retina display I had for a day before exchanging it for the Air. Both of those, as well as my iPhone all feel firm when you touch/press it. In fact, I always thought that "typing" on the iPad 2 was annoying because it did feel like there was no "give" to the screen. But in the case of the iPad Air, there is a distinctly different feel when touching, pressing, typing....it seems to give a little...it's a little "spongey"....it feels more like touching plastic than glass perhaps...
Does anyone else notice this? Could it be because the Air is so thin? (But so was the mini and I did NOT notice it there).
In all of this I am concerned that there COULD be something wrong with the screen, although other than how it FEELS, there are no other signs at all of a problem.
    Any comments are welcome...thanks.
    Jeff

Jeff, first excusme for my English i write from Spain. I also remarked different the iPad air screen than the previous model. I get the feeling that it is harder to answer, especially on the sides. Also sometimes when I want to deploy a tab id hard to "obey" the first time.

  • My Ipad Air reboot all time. How can i fix this?

All time that I am using my Ipad Air, than he reboot unexpected.
Just using any app, as safari, pages, keynote, numbers and any other apps.
I do not know how can I fix this.
    Thank you all.

    Hi André_RJ,
It sounds like no matter what app you are using, your iPad Air restarts on its own. I would start by resetting the phone, with these steps:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue persists I would use the following article to backup your device to iTunes and restore it from your backup. If the issue persists, then restore it one more time as new using the same article to isolate to the backup file itself.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

  • IPad Air too much time to open a link from Mail

SInce the last update to iOS 8.02 my iPad Air takes too much time to open a web link from the Mail App, Safari open itself with a long delay.
furthermore The attachments into email are often not readable, have to reload the message to be able to open the attachment.
LAst but not least, I have too many messages not downloaded from the iMap server and I can read just the title of it.

There's a large thread around about this Dolphin problem.
Disabling Nepomuk in System Settings has proved to be the
    cure in many cases.

  • HT4060 Ipad Air Loooong Charging time???

  • Is resetting iPad Air too many times bad?

Anyways, I've had many problems with my iPad Air and I have done many resets (using iTunes and through the settings app) and have always selected "Set up as new iPad". By the way I'm not talking about resetting with the sleep/home buttons and waiting for 10 seconds. So my ultimate questions is: Is it bad to reset my iPad too often?
    Thanks for all your answers!

Reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Or reseting the configuration options via Settings App. But these really not the same thing and used for different troubleshooting.
Restoring is setting the device up as new via itunes as sberman's link explains.

  • My ipad air charging plug is getting hot. Should I be concerned?

My original iPad Air had to be replaced because of a hardware problem. Then my charging cord also had to be replaced. Now I am noticing that my charging plug is getting hot. Should I be concerned? Thanks. This is the plug on the end of the charging cord that came with my iPad, of course.

Make sure you are using the 10W/12W charger.
5W charger will get hot if you use it to charge the iPad.
