Please help my iphone fell on floor and shut off. it would not turn on so I placed it in the dock and it turn on, but it had wrong time and date and was searching endlessly to find service. as soon as I took it off the dock it turn off. I would like to restore it but the connection to computer is not working. I thought I could do it by cloud but it is not available. The battery was at 90 percent when I dropped it.  when plugged into wall it turns on but reboots itself quite often. the second you unplug it dies. Please help. replacement would be tough for a few months.

Make sure your PC time and time zone are set correctly, you'll get this error if they are not.
Make sure IE is enabled, you'll get that error message if it's not:
1.Navigate to the Control Panel by clicking on Start, followed by Control Panel (or Settings and then Control Panel, depending on how you're setup).
2.In the Control Panel window, open Add or Remove Programs.
Note: In Microsoft Windows XP, depending on how your operating system is setup, you may not see the Add or Remove Programs icon. To correct this, click on the link on the left-hand side of the Control Panel window that says Switch to Classic View.
3.In the Add or Remove Programs window, click on the Set Program Access and Defaults button on the menu on the left.
4.Choose the Custom option in the Choose a configuration: area.
5.In the Choose a default Web browser: area, make sure there is a check in the check box next to Internet Explorer.
6.Click OK. Windows XP will apply your changes and the Add or Remove Programs window will close automatically.
