my iPhone 4 was connected to my wife's iTunes account in error and disconnected in the middle of the sync. I lost all my phone contacts and photos on my phone. Is there a way to recover them? I tried to recover from an earlier date and that failed. Any suggestions?

If you go to iTunes on your computer click on the App Store and scroll all the way down . In the bottom right of the screen is a map logo. Click on that and then chose the flag for the country you want

If you are seeing "Installed" in the Purchased section of your iPhone, then it only means that the app is installed on your device. Is that where you are seeing the "Installed"?

The only way is to login to iCloud with your computer browser and wipe the iPhone.
If you can't then you have a brick, Apple won't help and AL cannot be bypass.

Sounds like an odd question but my phone will connect to BT Openzone so I want to share that with my iPad via personal hotspot. I could use 3G but then it comes off my data allowance and I don't want to have to buy a separate SIM for my iPad if I can avoid it. I can swap my sim from my phone, but that's a pain!

No, unfortunately Personal Hotspot will only use your 3G plan.

Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! Help with what? If the WiFi radio is broken, there's nothing any of us on this forum can do help you. Either go to Apple and pay for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop and get the phone repaired.

I have BT Infinity at home with the BT modem connected to the phone line and then to a BThub which delivers the wif signal. I have purchased an airport extreme to improve wi fi strength if how do I connect up to hub it states connect modem to WAN on back of Airport Extreme.
Instructions do not mention connection to BT Hub and the BT modem has only one output which you dicsonnect from Hub and connect to airport extreme leaving. Once you do this Hub has no signal.
How do I rectify

you can also set up the Airport extreme to extend the wireless by hitting the wireless tab in the airport menu then click the drop down menu to select extend
Apple's "extend" function is a proprietary setting that was designed to only work with other Apple routers.
It would be extremely unlikely that this setting would work with a BT product, or any other manufacturer's product for that matter.
But, I haven't tested this with a BT product...and I suppose anything is possible.
Still, I would be extremely surprised if this worked.
The AirPort Extreme might "join" the BT network if you try this......but the AirPort does not provide any additional wireless signal coverage when it "joins" a wireless network. In fact, it really does nothing when it "joins" a network except enable the USB port.
