My iPhone 4s is not switching on, I connected it to itunes thru my Windows 7 laptop and it says phone needs to be restored. I clicked okay and it started the process however the progress bar with the apple logo is on the screen, progress in the bar did not start yet after 5 hours. Some one please hep me.
I did put it in DFU mode but its still not working, although everytime it shows your iphone needs to be restored. Kindly help.

Gray screen could be any number of things, bad third party at boot kext file, a bad Apple one, a bad install/upgrade of OS X, drive corruption etc.

I had my phone plugged in to my iTunes yesterday and downloaded the new software. I then went to install the new software and it crashed half way through with an error message. Then it went off completely and wiped everything. I tried to restore from back up and now it says it has restored from yesterdays back up, restarts afterwards and says it needs to restore from back up again. and just goes round and round doing that. Even if i try an earlier back up. I also tried wiping everything back to factory settings and restoring from back up and that did the same as above. Please help!!
Something in your backup may be corrupt. Try wiping it and setting it up as a new device, then sync your apps, data and media back to it from iTunes. DO NOT resotre from your backup. If the problem is contained in the backup, it will bring it right back again if you restore.

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.
Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

hello everyone, as I have stated above, I have an Iphone 4G realtively new, just 3 months of use. I've never dropped it, nor got it wet. The problem is that the screen just one day went black and displays the apple logo, when I do the recovery mode everyway possible the screen shows the itunes link but the pc doesn't acknowledge it.. I've tried on many pcs (windows and mac) and none respond because the device is not shown on itunes it just says "driver not found"

Recommendation was to startup iMac from the 10.6 install disk and use Disk Utility to attempt to repair the hard disk. Lion 10.7.2 was downloaded so there is no disk to attempt this repair with. Any suggestions or experience with the gray cloth screen in Lion and a progress bar under the Apple logo on boot up? It seems to take a lot longer to boot up now to get a login prompt or desktop than when it was fresh out of the box in July 2011 with Snow Leopard 10.6 Thanks for your help!

first shut down your mac then , unplug your keyboard if is a wired one , or remove battery from your wirless keyboard then power up your mac , does the progress bar appear again ?
or more simple try an other keyboard if is possible , preferably a wired keyboard

I have a 2nd generation iPod that won't do anything but display the Apple logo for a brief second then an image of the cord suggesting it should be connected to iTunes. I tried to restore it via iTunes but I get an Error: 1611. It does nothing else. I tried turning off using both buttons...nothing. Any suggestions?

That does happen. It depends on how hard the server is being hit, as well as the connection speed of your system. If you are on a windows system, you will want to disable any antivirus or firewall software during the download.

I bought an Apple Device namely iPhone 4s and this really bother and give me an intimate reason to contact Apple. How do I use the device, if it is Lock with an Apple ID account of the previous user, and everytime I open the phone the screen will show Activate iPhone with the Apple ID link on the Device. Sorry alvinguibz, but you have encountered an Activation Lock, and unless you can contact the previous owner and have them follow the steps below, you will not be able to use your device:

I just recently bought IPAD2....Whenever i inserted my microsim into sim tray, the screen goes blank with only apple logo to show...It does not start till i remove the sim and press both Home and Power buttons simulataneously...Can somebody help what shall i do????

I am going to sell my second generation ipod touch, so i resetted it to factory defaults. It said it would take up to an hour, and i patiently waited. But when the black and white loading bar completed, the ipod went to the black screen with an apple logo on it. Sounds about right, right? But now, there is a processing circle on top of the logo, but the circle spins once, and stops at about halfway to the bottom. It just stays there, and about every half to one hour it becomes a white screen and starts all over again. (not the loading bar part, just the circle). I've tried holding the power and the home button, and it works, but it just goes back to the circle screen with the apple logo. HELP PLEASE?
