IPad battery indicating charge but not charging
Hi guys, my iPad battery is not charging but it is indicating that it is. Here is what I have tried:
Rebooting the iPad and also a hard reset.
Cleaning the connection point terminal with isopropyl alcohol.
Charging with several different cables.
Charging with several different outlets.
Could this be a hardware issue? The iPad has been extremely well looked after and has never taken any drops or hard knocks. Should I let the battery die to 0% and charge from there? I'm weary to try this in case I need it powered for the repair job.

Hp mini 110 battery stuck at 0% (plugged in, charging) but not charging
my battery was working fine this morning, lasted a good 5 hours on full charge... then hp support assistant asked me to update itself and install a whole bunch of drivers for the WLAN and BIOS and all that, so i did. if i remember correctly, the battery at the time the update finished was around 20% and charging... then i unplugged the AC adapter to move it to another spot in my room, then the computer shut off completely... when i plugged it back in and rebooted the battery indicator was stuck at 0% but says (plugged in, CHARGING)....*not "not charging"... so i dont get it... i've left it alone for an hour and still says 0%... i rebooted and nothing changed.... i did a system restore to bring it back where it was before i did the hp support assistant update....nothing changed...
i honestly don't believe it's a problem with the battery itself because it was working fine until today.... and i didnt yank the adapter out of the socket either...

HP Battery check tool was showing for old battery status: Replace (40), Current State: Charging (0%)
So I have purchased new battery...
Now HP Battery check shows same for the new battery:
Replace (40),Current State: Charging (0%)
Computer is HP Mini 110 3010sq
BIOS is updated and computer is working fine with AC adaptor plugged, but shuts dow immediatelly after disconnecting it from AC adaptor.
I have noticed status for "cell voltage 4" is 0 mV for both batteries.
What could be the problem here?

Hp dv6 battery plugging,charging but not charging
Recently I replaced my dv6t 3100 CTO laptop battery, When I was at the the store I checked the battery by installed it to the laptop. I noticed that it was chrging 0% to 6%. I satisfied with the battery and when I was come home I discharged the battery and started to charge the laptop from 0%. After 3 hours I checked the battery status and discover that it remain 6%. After 7 hours the the result is the same. But when i click the battery icon it says 6% available(plugged in, charging).
But it is not charging.

Here are the main steps I want you to do:
Disconnect the AC adapter from the notebook.
Shut down the notebook.
Remove the battery from the notebook.
Reconnect the AC adapter from the notebook.
Turn on the computer and boot right into Windows.
Go into Device Manager and go to "Batteries"
Right-click on all ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery entires, and select "Uninstall".
Shut down the notebook again.
Disconnect the AC adapter from the notebook again.
Insert the battery into the notebook.
Connect AC to the notebook and turn on the notebook.

The image clearly shows that the Battery test has failed with the failure ID and needs to be replaced. In case unit is under warranty request you to call HP technical support and get the part replaced.

I understand that your friend's notebook computer is having difficulty charging the battery, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
In order to test and re-synchronize the battery with the notebook again, I recommend following the steps in this document: Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 7). This should help maintain a charge on your notebook's battery.
Additionally, I also suggest following the steps below re-install the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery:
Step 1. Go to Device Manager
Step 2. Select Batteries
Step 3. Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there
Step 4. Click Uninstall
Step 5. At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
Step 6. Shutdown the computer
Step 7: Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in
When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
Step 8. Go to Device Manager
Step 9. Select Batteries
Step 10. Right click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there
Step 11. Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Step 12. Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller (if it appears in the Device Manager).

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. i really need help here. I have only used my iphone for a month. my iphone won't switch on. it died of a low battery and i've already fully charged it and usually before it even fully charged, it will turn back on right but in my case nothing happened. i've tried holding the power and home button for 30 seconds and up to 2-3 minutes but no logo appear. it went straight to recovery mode. there's nothing wrong with my cable, i checked with itunes and this happened once a week ago but it did switch back on after i tried a few times but now it just won't switch on. i also have problems with my screen as there's some noises to the screen (i hope you get me) and when i turned the camera on, it was as if the whole screen is shaking. i'm currently studying in the middle east and there's no apple store here so i cannot use my warranty. i will only be back home in summer. please help me what should i do to at least switch my iphone on first.
I did a little bit of experimenting. I have an iPad original versions myself. I took it out of the box knowing that I haven used it in months and I expected the battery to be dead and sure enough the battery was as dead as I imagined it would be. For the first 30 minutes I experienced exactly what you are experiencing, but then the iPad suddenly powered up on its own (like it does when plugged into the charger) and I am using it now to type this response to you.
My point is that I am starting tothink that your battery has suddenly died on you for some reason or you have a hardware problem now. I would still try leaving the iPad charge for a while longer - maybe even overnight - and then try again in the morning. Unplug the iPad and try resetting with the home and sleep buttons. Try plugging the iPad in again. Unplug it, try restarting again. Let it charge for a while again.
After trying something like that, if it still will not start up, then I think it's time for a trip to an Apple Store and see what the Apple Techs think. -
my iphone 3gs is charging on the wall charger but wont charge on the pc, have cleaned it, yet it can sync and update with itunes easily, but it still wont charge, have tried several cables as well same effect.
1) authorize iTunes on your wife's user account for her iTunes store account(s)
2) connect the device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred her purchases in the previous step, your content will be in her library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.
