That seems to be a clear indication of an issue with your iPod and not your PC or USB cable. Have you tried resetting the Nano with it still connected to your PC?

Why do you think iPhoto affects your ability to edit Mail sigs? What happens when you try to run a slideshow? Have you tried re-applying the .7.3 update? Repairing permissions?

your new lion-machine should have quicktime 7, too. if it doesn't, and if it doesn't show up after you migrated your stuff from you old machine you can always reinstall it from the logic dvd's, it's part of logic. my recommendation is to always use quicktime 7, since it's got many features that are absent in quicktime x. quicktime x is nothing but a polished video player. in quicktime 7 (pro, comes with logic) you can even do edits and paste your music onto video files. i use it all the time, especially since logic 64bit doesn't export to video anymore.

When syncing iPhone or iPod touch bookmarks between Safari and Internet Explorer in Microsoft Windows, the Favorites bar in Internet Explorer 7 and 8 may not refresh to reflect changes or updates to the bookmarks.
For example, if you sync Safari bookmarks to your device and then make changes to the bookmarks on the device (such as deleting some bookmarks, editing the web address, re-arranging the order of the bookmarks), when you then sync those bookmarks to Internet Explorer, the changes will not be reflected in the Favorites bar for Internet Explorer.
Resolution
To refresh the Favorites bar, quit and reopen Internet Explorer.

It is yet happening to me. In my case it happens when I plug it to any kind of charger: socket, car... I have to pull it out the phone and plug it in again so it reacts and starts charging.
Of course, I tried cleaning with a soft, dry brush. This had no effect.

Figures not showing up in Acrobat reader DC, but show up fine in older versions - what is the problem?

I upgraded to Reader DC recently and have had trouble with pdfs ever since. Figures do not show up properly and we just see a grey patch where the figure should be. If I open the same file in the older versions, it shows up fine.
I have had this problem with every file I have opened since the upgrade, but they are fine with older Reader versions. Is this an incompatibility between the old and the new?

It could also be a compatibility issue with you using features of AA9 and the reader versions being an earlier version that cannot read those features. You might try using Reduce File Size or the PDF Optimizer to save as a prior version and see if it still works.

I cannot get a TV show from Itunes to play on my Ipad. I originally downloaded in HD but have since deleted and re-downloaded SD. I have also downloaded directly to PC and transferred back to IPad without success. It does work on PC

I recently purchased season 7 of entourage from Itunes and downloaded directly to IPad2. When I selected to play the tv shows the screen would go black and become disabled. I have to hit the home page to exit and then search for another movie in my ipad to get access to the library again. I have tried downloading directly to PC and then transferring to IPad without success. I don't think it is the download itself because I can play the tv shows on the pc and my iphone. Am I missing a setting? also, I can watch other tv shows or movies so my video app is not completely fouled up.

Sometimes simply restarting your iTunes, the computer and the iPad is all that it takes to correct an issue like this so try that. Quit iTunes, reboot your computer, and restart the iPad. Then try the sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

I have an Imac. When I click to open google maps a permeable but dark screen covers my monitor screen and I get a note that tells me to shut down the computer and restart it. This hasn't helped. Everything else seems to work fine.

When I attempt to open google maps in Firefox on my Imac, a dark screens descends over my monitor screen and a note tells me there's been an error, no number is noted, and that I need to turn off and restart my computer. This doesn't help, but everything else works, including google maps in other browsers.

This is a kernel panic.
First verify that Firefox is fully updated including all extensions.
If this fails to fix....
Restart in Safe Boot mode then open Firefox.
* shutdown
* start the Mac and *wait* for the startup chime to sound
* after the sound, press and hold down the shift key
* keep holding and *wait* until the grey  Apple logo appears
* now release the shift key and just wait (it could take a few minutes)
* eventually the login screen appears with the words SAFE BOOT
* login and open Firefox.
