II'm having so much trouble with my MacBook Pro.
1. The wifi is not showing it's connected but it is
2. I used to be able to use messages as iMessage from my phone- that randomly stopped
3. It alerted gmail to lock my account.

Macbook pro 2010 not showing hdd in disk utility but shows the same in usb

Macbook pro 2010 not showing hard disk in disk uility but same hdd shows when connected to usb original drive, also installed new hard disk 500gb, same result, but connected old hard disk of 500gb shows in disk utility and also able to installed os on it, tried installing lion 10.7 on it with the original and new hdd but not shows in disk utility pls help for this problem

I'm kind of experiencing the same issue now.
A few days ago, when starting up my Mini, I would get a warning that the system didn't recognize the drive with the option to ignore. I hit ignore and all seven drives would mount. Because I have seven drives attached, I had no idea what drive was giving the warning.
Today that drive failed to load up at all. I ran disk utility and after several tries, it said repair was successful yet the drive will not mount.
I'm currently running recovery software on it to see if I can copy everything from it to another drive. It is a fairly old drive, about 3 years old so it's time is short.
I don't have any suggestions but mine does show in disk utility.

After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
What is your Adobe Reader version?
What browser are you using and browser version?

If running 10.7 or later hold down Command-R at Startup.
This should invoke recovery Mode.
Choose Disk Utility.
Select your Hard drive. Inspect the SMART Status in the lower right of the window for "Verified".
Select the Mac OS X Volume (originally Macintosh HD) click (Repair Disk)
If errors, run again until it comes clean or gets stuck.
Report any error messages.

If your MacBook Pro does not seem to power on, but the caps lock key will light up when you press the caps lock key, you are likely seeing a video issue.

Reset the system
You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Start up in Safe Mode.

The new version of GarageBand is only compatible with 10.9 and above.
If your Mac can run MacOS X 10.6.8, it probably can be upgraded to Yosemite, if you don't have to stick to Snowleopard for other reasons.
Is it possible to still get the older version?
Amazon or eBay are still selling iLife '11 installer disks, and you could reinstall GarageBand from these DVDs. But it will be expensive.
Have you checked your backups, if you can restore GarageBand from a backup?
OR, can I get another copy of the startup CD that came with my computer so that I can reinstall GarageBand?
Sometimes the AppleStore Support will replace missing installer CDs for a fee.

Do you mean that only your iPhone and iPad stopped working! while other devices (Pc, laptop, etc..) still works?

New MacBook Pro, apps not showing in iTunes

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro. Im still in the process of setting it up. When my iPad or iPhone is plugged into the computer with iTunes open, no apps show in the apps tab but they show on the device. Any idea what is going on?

I connected my MacBook pro to a projector for a presentation using a VGA adapter. It worked for a couple of minutes, then my computer shut off and I can not turn it back on. It has never given any trouble before then. Now when I try to turn it on, the white led comes on briefly, then it makes a tone and nothing happens, the screen stays dark, any idea what is wrong????

I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

How do I make my Macbook Pro show up on my 40 inch Samsung HD TV if I have tried everything in the Help menu in Displays in System Settings?
I restarted, tried every resolution, gathered windows, detected displays, and everything but my Mac still does not show up on my TV.
I have also tried to change the settings for my TV but still it says that there is no signal.
I used a Belkin mini adapter to HDMI and I also used the Dynex version. It used to work fine once but it does not work anymore.

If the same MBP using the same connections to the same TV with the same settings on both the MBP and TV used to work, it appears there is a hardware problem. You might want to try a different TV or different MBP or different connectors.

Macbook Pro does not show up on ATV 2

Have installed ATV 2 - connected to TV with HDMI cable. Appears to connect with Airport Extreme in other room where Macbook Pro is located.
However, while I turned on Home Sharing on the Macbook Pro and also on the ATV 2, they aren't finding one another.

have you tried disabling home sharing. then re-enable it, but BEFORE you press done to exit the home sharing screen check the apple tv and see if it shows up. It seems to have temporarily solved my issue and many others on this board. The worst Apple product rollout ever.

Your books are now in your iBooks app. They are no loger stored or sync'd via the iTunes library, but rather directly from the iBooks app.
