My mail.app is downloading my mail but it is not showing in my inbox

My mail.app is downloading my mail but it is not showing in my inbox. I have read about deleting the com.mail.pfile to resolve this but the file doesn't exist. Anyone else ever had this experience?

Hi...I just dowloaded a book from itunes but it is not showing up in my library. I already rec'd the confirmation email that I rec'd it but not there. Any ideas? I have tried rebooting. Using Windows 7

If you're using Windows or an OS X earlier than Mavericks, you can click Get Sample in iTunes to download the sample to iBooks on your compatible iOS device where you're signed in to the iTunes Store.

Can receive mail, but it doesn't show up in inbox?

My inbox has randomly stopped receiving new mail. When I click "Get Mail," the Message Activity Bar does say there are incoming messages, yet once completed, no new mail shows up in my inbox.
I can send emails fine. The problem is the inbox.
(I have a POP account if this makes any difference.)

I had exactly the same problem. Messages were on the server but would not display on my inbox. I have a Cox POP account. I deleted my mail setup from the mail program and reinstalled with no luck.
On an off chance, I added my second e-mail account to MAC mail first. All of my test e-mails showed up. I then deleted out my first e-mail account setup in MAIL program. I then re-added my original POP mail account that would not display my inbox e-mail. All of a sudden, my inbox started retrieving both of my e-mails & displaying them properly in my inbox.
I have no idea why this worked but it did. Prior to this I tried to delete out my original e-mail setup, rebuild my mail boxes... but none of this worked.

Itunes 11 appears to download my CD but it does not show up in my music?

I insert my own CD. itunes goes through the importing process on each track, but when it is done, the new tracks do not show up in Music or Recently added. Where is it? I do not have itunes Match. Any ideas? I import my own CD's like this all the time.

I had the same issue and it seems to me, that the problem is the Apple cloud. The cloud symbol next to my music library wash showing an update after I imported a new CD. And only after this was done (which took a loooong time over my slow DSL line), the CD was visible.
Although I do not use iTunes Match it looks as if Apple is transferring my music library data to the cloud.

ok... i figured out "A" solution.
Go to https://appleid.apple.com/, choose "Manage your account", enter your old apple id email and password, then edit the verification email to a functional email address. This will send the email verification to your newly chosen apple id. PLEASE NOTE, this email address can NOT be a MobileMe (@me.com or @mac.com) email address OR an address already verified on an existing apple id (some folks added and secondary email address to their MobileMe apple id).
Here's where it gets even more confusing. You've now changed your apple id email. Problem is you need to reset the password you never created (lol). Go back to https://appleid.apple.com/, choose "Reset your password", then enter your newly changed apple id email address and follow the instructions.
Now, log into that email account and open the email to reset your password. Follow those instructions.
Now that you've changed your apple id email address, reset that password you are ready to finally verify your apple id. Open your email account and follow the instruction (link) to verify account. It will ask you for you (new) apple id email and (new) password.
Finally, now that everything is verified, you will now need to go into your iTunes, iPhone, iTouch and anything else associated with the old apple id email and update your log in info. You are now free to resume the services that worked just fine before the self-destruct button was pressed.
I love Apple as a whole but, wow... I feel like I'm at the beginning of MobileMe again.

Is the app compatible with your model iPod and iOS?
Are any Restrictions set that would prevent installing the app on your iPod? Settings>General>Restrictions
Do any apps no sync to the iPod?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Have you successfully synced aps to this iPod from this iTunes library before?

On the Mail menubar > Mailbox, make sure Take all accounts online is selected.

I only have access to one my adress books. The other adress books are in use when making an e-mail, but I can not switch between adressbooks in other to edit.

Try this out... this worked like a charm:
*On a desktop PC, log into your gmail account.
*Click the gear up in the top right corner > Settings
*Click Accounts
*Under "Change Account Settings", click "Other Goole Account Settings"
*Along the left, click "Security"
*Under 2-step verification, click "Manage your application specific passwords"
*It will ask for your usual gmail account password and take you to a page that says "
Authorized Access to your Google Account
*You will see a box to type in something (I just typed in iPad) then click "Generate Password"
*It will generate a random password for you... you will need this password Once in your iPad....
Now...
*Go to your iPhone Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Add Account>Google
*Type in your name, your usual gmail email address and for the password, type in that random one generated on your PC
It should work from there, if not follow what is below!

If you click View, Show Sidebar you will see the other libraries under Shared in the left hand column. Click on the Library you want and you can expand it to select Music, Movies etc. Select whatever items you want and click import if you want to move them to your Library.
You will have to have all computers authorised with the relevant Apple ID's
Store > Authorise this computer...
This is separate from the Home Sharing username and password and is to allow playing of DRM Movies, TV shows etc from the other computer.
If both Computers use the same apple id this step is not required.
