My mother recently bought herself an iphone but she didnt have an apple id so she used mine for a short time now she bought her own account and were still getting each others messages and contacts how do i make it stop!

We cant seem to get this thing figured out weve tried unsyncing them and that didnt work please help fast i need freedom from my mother stalking my messages!

Yes it would be her device you remove your account from, but she would need an email address to have an Apple ID.
I guess if it's only messages that you want her to use, you could create an iCloud email address alias and let her use that for messaging.
First you'd need to create an alias for your iCloud address, you can do this at iCloud.com > mail, click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner and select preferences, then choose the accounts tab. The alias could be her name.
After creating an alias you will need to add it to her device as an ID for messages, go to settings > messages > send & receive > Add another email.
While you are there make sure she only sends and receives messages from that address, you also need to ensure the same settings on your devices use anything but that address.

On each Device, go to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive... and make certain that each device only has 2-items with check marks your phone number and your email address. click on the other persons number and email address such that it is not checked.

You could simply ensure that only the numbers and addresses you wish to use on each device are checked at Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. However this isn’t an ideal solution because the other person can always change these settings from their device and have some fun with you and your contacts.
You’d be far better getting them to delete your account from their device and have them create one of their own. If you are sharing an ID for some other service such as iTunes, you can continue to do so, you only need change the ID for messages.

Use different Apple IDs for iMessage (and also FaceTime) to avoid getting each others text messages (and FaceTime calls). One of you should go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (and Settings>FaceTime), tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID. You can continue to shared the same ID for the iTunes store and other services.

Okay, so I cracked my iPhone 5 and just got a new 5s in the mail. I'm using the same number, sim and everything. My latest backup was on March 14th, 2013. You can always resync the Contacts, Notes, and Messages by signing into those services with the same AppleID once you have the new phone set up.

Go onto all iPods, and turn on "Restrictions" and disable installing apps. The apps do auto download, and the only way around the messages problem is to make 3 Apple IDs. When installing apps, it will ask for a "restrictions" password, and you can enter that.

I would like to know the exact error message when you sign in, in the meanwhile please try the following steps assuming its Windows, let me know if its a MAC:
1) Go to Start button>> Control panel>> Uninstall a program.
2) Check if you see Browser safeguard there, if yes then uninstall it.
3) Open Internet explorer>> Tools>> Internet options>> Connections>> Lan Settings>> and it should be like this.

I see. I'm not aware of how to fix this in Firefox. Usually you want to tweak your Winow Manager preferences for opening new windows.
Example: sawfish preferences for Linux.
Since Mac OS X doesn't have any preferences, you have to use Applescript or another technique. This is caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage. To prevent this you need to use separate IDs. (You can continue to use the same ID for purchasing; it does not need to be the same as the one used for other services such as iMessage.)
On the phone that will be changing, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the Apple ID at the top, sign out, sign back in with a different ID.

Thank you for responding. Nothing actually worked! After reading the posts online, I called Apple. They indicated they have seen problems with some software after their upgrades. The technician was able to fix the problem on my computer remotely, but I have no clue what he did! But, it was definitely related to their recent upgrade to my computer.

Google Chrome is a problem:
if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version. Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
My suggestion; use a different browser!
