Yes, he does have agile fingers and they are everywhere! I managed to find a solution to the problem by going to the Language section and resetting to black on white...

Launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive (the drive itself, not the volume icons below it.) Is the SMART status "Verified?" If not, replace the drive immediately. If the status is "Verified," the drive may still be failing. Back up all data, if you haven't already done so. Reinstall Mac OS X, then run Software Update. Test with all wired peripherals disconnected. If it's still slow, you have a hardware problem.

You are posting in the developer forum. This is a quiet corner of the forums where few people will see your post. If you give us some details about your setup, we can get your post moved to a more appropriate forum.

You've tried contacting iTunes Support ? Purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting them via this page and see what they say : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
If the purchases were done on an iOS device, then to try and stop it happening again you can use Settings > General > Restrictions on it to turn off in-app purchases, and to require your password to be entered for every download (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need re-entering). You can also hide the App Store ('Installing Apps' set 'off') and the iTunes store app via the Restrictions screen.

I am having the exact same problem with my iphone 5.
I took it back to the Apple store 2 days ago and they gave me a new one, but they told me not to restore it from backup cos if something (an app) is corrupted it will happen again. The only thing they could keep was my contacts cos they did something there that allowed them to transfer them to the new phone. I went home, and downloaded only ONE app (facebook), and guess what - THE PROBLEM IS STILL OCCURING ON THE BRAND NEW PHONE! It is driving me insane as I cant get through the day without my phone.

Two year old G5 2.0 DP

I have a two year old G5 that I use mainly for net surfing and word processing and other fairly simple tasks. I'm planning on getting Adobe CS PS in the future and am wondering if this machine is up to the task of working well on the latest versions of CS and other programs. Should I upgrade to Tiger?
I love the machine and my first Mac lasted a good ten years before I switched to the the G5. In fact, the old 7500 still works great! Is there anything I can do to test this G5's computing ability (without buying big programs) to see how stable it is performing CPU intensive tasks? Thanks in advance.

The machine you got is very capable, you do need to upgrade to Tiger, get about 4-4.5 GB of RAM and Photoshop CS 2. You will not need a "scratch disk" for performance as Tiger will over ride CS2's RAM limit. 40% more performance with this configuration.
You'll have to buy iLife '06 with Tiger as it's not included.
I suggest you clone your Panther drive to a blank external drive in addition to backing up your files on DVD's. Visit Carbon Copy Cloner for info how to clone and boot from it (hold option), merely copying files doesn't make a boot drive.
I don't suggest you do a upgrade over Panther, erase with Zero option using Disk Utility, then install Tiger fresh, then software update, then install iLife '06, then update, repair permissions, then install your top used programs from original sources/cd's/Tiger versions, repair permissions in disk utility.
Don't use migration assistant, it's glitchy and copy protection schemes get screwed up.
You might want to consider getting a 74 GB Raptor for a boot drive, it will increase Mac OS X performance greatly. Don't get the RaptorX, the SATA interface hasn't been updated on Mac's to use it correctly and you might lose data one day.
Use a second internal drive to keep most of your user files in new folders so to keep the Raptor less than 50% filled for maximum performance.
Always Disk utility Erase w/Zero option any new drive to rewrtie the bad sector map for greatly improved writes and less corrupted files.
Don't use two large drives in a RAID O for boot or much of anything, because RAID O is twice as easy to go down and you need to clone both drives to a single drive regularly. Since I clone my pair of Raptors regularly, I can play around with the supreme speed (185 MB p/s!!)
Get X-Bench to test your machine, most everything will be around a score of 100 each, except your boot drive which your looking for as much speed in the 4k uncached writes as possible.
Secret: The Dual 2 ghz kicks the new Core Duo 2.16 down, CPU score 100 to 76, why? Core Duos are slow accessing memory. Dual 2 has two memory controlers, two buses and present software is optimized for them. I have run 2 3D games, UT2004 and Doom3 at the same time! (UT2004 in specator mode obviously)
Your machine can kick butt, just need to increase the drive I/O and add more RAM/Tiger.

Tom wants you to run Disk Utility from the install disc and then select your boot volume and then click "Repair Disk" to check and correct any directory problems. That will not erase any data files on the disc. If Disk Utility actually makes repairs, do another "Repair Disk" operation, as sometimes one repair will uncover another error. Stop when it gives the volume a clean bill of health without making any repairs. Then restart the machine and see how things work.

Your past purchases are not on the computer. By choosing download all, those purchases will download to the computer.
Once authorized to your iTunes account you can control the computer.
When syncing the iPad the first time you will get the warning " this iPad is synced with another computer, syncing will erase all contents and replace with the contents of this computer"
