MYBB and GCU+Trade In

Hi unboxed team,
I appreciate all the hard work you all do on behalf of us GCU and MYBB members.  I went to my local store yesterday to avail of the 3DS promotion, and at the same time I traded in my copy of Mario Kart 8.  During the transaction the customer service rep processing the trade took my phone number and entered it in, but I did not get the bonus points or the bonus trade in credit for being a GCU member.  I was in a hurry and did not notice that at the time of the trade and had already received the GC and receipt, do I have any recourse to get the points and maybe the 10% bonus credit?  Thanks again.

Hello again roshd04,
First, I appreciate the positive feedback you’ve provided us here on the forums! I’m very happy to hear that we’ve been able to assist with the concerns you’ve brought to our attention. With that said, I’m sorry to hear that your Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) benefits may have been missed on your recent Trade-In transaction while visiting our store. As I’m sure you’re aware from our previous conversations, this is far from the experience we want for our customers, especially those who are GCU members.
As long as your My Best Buy membership is added to the Trade-In transaction, your benefits should apply automatically. While you mention the associate captured your phone number, it sounds like your membership may not have properly applied. I’m going to send you a private message with more information in regards to your transaction. Per our previous conversations, I believe you are privy to how private messages work!
You’ll be hearing from me shortly and thanks again for the post.
Cheers,

  • Legal Unit and Foreign Trade organization are not in same country

    Hi all,
We are currently working on a Maquiladora project under which our plants in Mexico will be assigned to a US company code.
However, when we try to define this org structure in GTS, we are getting the below warning message while assigning the Legal Units (with MX address) to the FTO (US address). The system allows us to save the config, but it doesn't appear to work correctly. For example, when I simulate an import into MX plant, the system is applying the US legal regulation rather than MX.
Has anyone encounterred this error or any suggestions? (One idea we thought about is to define the FTO with a MX address, not sure if this would be the right thing to do; one additional problem is, the given FTO also includes other US plants for which we do want to apply US legal regulation, should we rather define an entirely separate company code (US address) & FTO (MX address) for the given MX plants??)..Can someone shed some light on this subject? Thanks in advance. -Raj Palanivel.
Below is the full details of the warning/error:
Legal Unit xxx and foreign trade organization yyy are not in same country
    Diagnosis
You tried to assign  foreign trade orgnaization yyy in in US to legal unit xxx in MX.
This is not permitted. You must create the legal unit and the foreign trade organization in the same country.
    System Response
The system does not permit this entry.
    Procedure
    Correct your entry.

    Hi Raj,
In GTS we can map the company codes to FTO's as one to one  and FTOs to company codes as many to one in the same way plants and legal units.
So in this case you can maintain one dummy FTO related to Mexico and assign it to the plants in mexico. But in R/3 you will map the plants in mexico to US company codes. For this SAP has provided some BADI's to implement this functionality.we have also have some similar functionality which we have implemented it at the time of transfering outbound deliveries. So use the following BADI /SAPSLL/IFEX_SD0b_R3 and method IF_EXTEND_CON_CDOC. you need to maintain one custom table for the organization units which needs to be transfered.

i just want to know if we can maintain two different country of origin for foreign trade:export and foreign trade:import views in material master record.

the material that you import from india to export to China will not change its origin during this transition.
It the origin is India, it is still India even you export it from Singapur to China.
If you import this material from several sources and each has a different country of origin, then you can manage this only with batches, as you can maintain the CoO in the batch.

    Hi Mohanty,
we cannot maintain two different country of origin for foreign trade:export and foreign trade:export views in material master record.
As the same good is been traded, but the effect of taxation and the business quota system (for example apparal, indid has a quota to trade 10% ), similarly the rate of taxation differ by the amount of value addition done in the country.
As part of obeying the business process we cannot maintain two different country .

scenario:- if i am importing a material from india and export the same to china.

Using your example: India is the country of origin and China the country of destination - you don't need 2 countries of origin.
Country of Origin = Country where the material comes from

  • If i have a shattered ipod touch 4th ggeneration and i trade it in at Apple Store for the ipod touch 5th generation Will they take it even though it is shattered? and will  i get my 10% recycling thing?

If i have a shattered ipod touch 4th ggeneration and i trade it in at Apple Store for the ipod touch 5th generation Will they take it even though it is shattered? and will  i get my 10% recycling thing?

As far as recycling, they will take one, dead or alive, so I assume a shattered one would qualify just as well.

  • GCU trade in - no 10% bonus

I have had 3 trade ins recently where I did not receive my GCU 10% bonus or any of my reward zone points. I have been told my GCU has expired or been assured the 10% bonus does not apply. It is such a pain to do trade ins in store with employees who have no idea what GCU is or how to properly apply the bonus. Am I able to get my bonus % and points?

    Hello srocky26,
To be fully honest, you should absolutely not be having so many issues with receiving your Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) bonus while trading in games at Best Buy. As long as your My Best Buy membership is added to the transaction and you’re a GCU member, the bonus should apply. We expect our employees to be privy to our membership programs and I regret hearing that you may have experienced otherwise when trading your games in!
I’m going to send you a private message to both review your GCU status, as well as look into your recent trade-ins to ensure you receive the benefits you should as a GCU member. To check your private messages, make sure you’re logged into your account and click the small envelope on the top right of the screen.
Thanks for sharing your concerns with us on the forums and please be sure to keep an eye on your inbox.

  • GCU Trade-in bonus not applied

On Thursday July 31st I traded in Dragon's Crown for the PS3. I was just reviewing the benefits of being an unlocked member and noticed that I did not receive the 10% trade in bonus. The base trade-in value was $10 and I only received $10 credit. While 10% of that is a small amount, I am concerned that my GCU is not working properly as I entered in and confirmed my information in store. Should I be concermed about this?

    Hi rareliga,
Sorry to hear your GCU benefits might not have been properly applied to your recent trade! As long as your My Best Buy membership info was entered at the beginning of the transaction, then both the trade-in credit bonus and bonus points should have been applied automatically.
I've sent you some information, so please make sure to check your private messages when you can. To check your PMs, simply sign into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  • Missing 10% GCU Trade in Bonus

I did a trade in on Sunday but they couldn't get my 10% trade in bonus to show up. They said since I received the 30% bonus that it overrode the 10%, which I know is false. If someone could help me with this, that would be great. Thanks.

    Hello viewtifulv,
Yep that's inaccurate information.  You can use the Trade-In bonus and the Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) benefits on the same transaction.  Sounds like the sales associate may have been misinformed about the process.
I'm happy to take a look at your receipt and your My Best Buy account.  I'm sending you a private message.  Make sure you’re logged in, and click on the envelope icon on the upper right-hand corner of the page to check your forum inbox.

  • Invoice and foreing trade

    Hi,
Create billing document (2 delivery- need 1 invoice)
split analy.: Split due to differing header data: Number of foreign trade (EIKP-EXNUM)
how we can create 1 invoice?
    thanks.

    Hi ,
    The field EIKP- EXNUM
No. for Foreign Trade data in SD and MM ( This is a internal No for export Data).
Is different at header level in the two deliveries u want to combine so ur invoice is getting split .
Because For invoice split rule u have maintained this field also.
In requirement u might have coded if EIKP-EXNUM for both the delivery is not same don't combine the two deliveries in One invoice .
As the requirement is not matching u r getting two different Invoice .
Hope this clarifies . Please ask ABAPER to tell u the criteria define for Invoice split .
Generally we check only Bill to party , Payment term and Inco terms at both header and item level for Combining the deliveries in one invoice .
May be some Business specific requirement

  • Factory Defaults in Mac Mini and Possible Trade-Up?

Hi, beforehand, please direct all answers if possible to [email protected] Thanks in advance.
I have questions that have probably been answered or maybe not, so I'm sorry in advance.
I'd like to restore my Mac Mini to its factory defaults. Since I'm a Windows-user-almost-turned-Mac-user, I'm still learning, but it's just difficult for me. The reason I'd like to do this is so that I can hopefully sell it and eventually buy a Macbook with the money I get on it.
That being said, I'd also like to ask if there is possibly a way I can bring my Mac Mini to, say, a local Apple Store and "trade up" to a Macbook--and pay whatever difference with cash. Again, I'm very new to this, so thank you all for your forebearance.
I hope to hear from any of you soon. Have a great day and weekend, and Happy Father's in advance to you fathers.
    -Davy

Easy enough to do, insert the install disc, restart the Mac and hold the C key down. You can select erase and install, which wipes everything out, or archive and install which preserves your home folder.

If you are in the 14 day purchase period then yes you can do a return/purchase. After that no, and in fact I don't know any computer company that will let you trade up to another model after you go beyond the return period.
The mini and Macbook are nearly identical in specs and the speed difference in the mini's clock rate is minimal. If you need a portable solution I suggest you purchase the Macbook as opposed to the mini. I own both and I'm very pleased with both of them and I think either one you buy will be a great computer to work and play with
