N95 V20.0.15 - SIP Problem

Sip registration fais after upgrade to v20.0.15. Worke fine with previous version v12.
Anyone has similar problem?
Is their any solution or we have to wait for the new version

Registration works fine for me, BUT if I receive a SIP call from a client with enabled video the phone hangs completely (I have to remove battery, no workaround).
This didn't happen with v12.
This is very annoying, because since I have no control over the settings of the softphones used by the people that call me, having my phone registered to Internet Telephony service offers a great risk of leaving me aout of service.
Is there any solution to this?
Thanks
Jorge

  • Lockup/reboot problem with N95 v20.0.015

    Hi
I installed v20.0.015 on a N95 and now the phone regularly locks up completely or restarts for no reason. It's made the phone pretty useless. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had the very same problem and I have fixed it!
The problem isn't the phone at all, but a corrupt download of the firmware! NSU will only download firmware if it hasn't already, which is why reflashing your phone doesn't solve the problem! So to fix the problem you have to delete the corrupt files and run NSU again!
Trouble is, the files are hidden away as system files so you have to unhide them first!
Here's how to do it all...
Click "Start", "My Computer", "Tools" then "Folder Options"
A Folder Options Window will open.
Click on the "View" Tab, Then under "Advanced settings"
Check the "Show hidden files and folders" radio and
uncheck "Hide protected operating system file (Recommended)" box.
A warning will appear when you uncheck it, don't worry, the files you will be deleting are not system files, but have been marked as such by NSU, so click on "Yes" and then "OK"
Now navigate to the following location on your Windows hard drive (Usually C: on most PCs)
    Documents and Settings
    All Users
    Application Data
    Nokia
    Nokia Service Layer
    A
    nsl_service_module_00001
    www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite
    Products
    rm-159
OR copy and paste the following without the quotes into the address bar and press enter!
    "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Nokia\Nokia Service Layer\A\nsl_service_module_00001\www.dsut.online.nokia.com.oti.caresuite\Products\rm-159"
Now select all the files shown and delete them!
That's that, now to re-hide the system files,
click "Tools" "Folder Options", Click on "View" tab.
Check the "Do not show hidden files and folders" radio and
check "Hide protected operating system file (Recommended)" box. Click OK!
Now run NSU just as you did before! New firmware will download!
I hope this solves your problem!Message Edited by pjaysnowden on 03-Dec-200712:46 AM

  • N95-1 v20 to v21 update problem

after updating successfully, the phone restarted. ever SINCE the restart it is still in a "blank white screen mode".. it's been hours!!! i tried taking off the battery and then turning it on again but it's still on the blank white screen.. help pls!

    Try the following:
    Hard reset:
    1. Switch off the phone.
    2. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.
    3. While holding these buttons, press the power button and switch on the phone.
    4. Release when the phone shows the nokia logo or shows other signs of life like the language selection screen.
If that doesn't work you will have to take your phone to a nokia care point.

any body have any solution for this hang issue...? please advice

Go into your control panel, System > Hardware > Devices, look for the USB (Universal Serial Bus Controllers)
    [+]USB
    Generic USB hub
    Bleah
    Bleah
Simply right mouse click on all of them select "uninstall" once they've all been removed, restart your machine, windows will re detect all your USB devices, and hopefully this time windows will install either a newer or older version, different version of drivers.
Then re-install..... there's not a lot else you can try.

  • N95 v20 Battery life

Ok so it seems that the v20 firmware for the n95 is susposed to improve battery life! Well .. . thats aload of rubbish!! I have just updated to v20 from v11 r12 and it now seems my battery lasts about 7 hours max! when i had version 11 or 12 it lasted about 3 days! Anyone having the same problem?

I dont see any improvement on the battery life of my N95-2 with the new fw. Usually it lasts for 2-2.5 days.

To stop this, Im removing the battary, waiting a bit then opening the phone again. Is there anybody facing with this problem? Is there any way to avoid this?

    Hi gyucel
With reference to GPS do you mean Nokia maps application crashes whilst trying to "calculate route"?

  • SIP problem to place calls

    Hello,
We are a SIP provider in France. More and more of our customers are using the WIFI/SIP features of Nokia mobile phones. They can register without problem, as well as they can get SIP calls on their mobile.
Yet, many of them have problems to place calls. As far as we can see in the SIP traces, it looks like the N95 answers by a CANCEL to a 180 Ringing message.
We have done some tests with a customer with the following configuration :
    Nokia N95 8GB
    V 20.0.16 28-02-08 RM-320
Is this a known problem ? Would it be possible to get in touch with some developers of the SIP stack to trace this problem ?
    Thanks and regards,
    Guillaume
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I have an N95-1 registered to my own Asterisk server and I can place calls no problem.
This said, if you want to get hold of Nokia you've come to the wrong place. This is just a forum for users of Nokia products to share information. You should be able to contact a Nokia customer service representative on 0811.004567 and they should be able to pass the message on.

  • After update N95 8gb i got big problems.

I make a backup of all but not the 8gb-memory, and restured all after upate, and everyting seems to work fine.
First problem; i see now i have no 3g 3 (no connection) competely dead, i can not use the phone to communicate.
Strange everything work fine after update yesterday and this morning, something happen when it was in the locker at work.
And now i can't use Maploader, it say i have no memorycard, i understand that problem, i delete the whole Cities-folder this morning, because i dont need Nokia GPS-program Wayfinder anymoore, i choose Nav4all instead, i try the maploader only to for testing, i don't want to download any maps.
I test maploader now only bacause my phone is completely dead in communication, try to find out why.
I check in Nokia Nseries PC Suit everything on PC & mobil are the latest update.
I have another mobile SE M600i with 3g 3-cashcard, i by that cashcard only to enable the phone to start, not for communication, that mobile have full 3g (and probably work fine).
Was it the thing that i delete the Cities-map, no it can't be, because i use the N95 8gb and it work fine after that.
after work i even have a missed call on that mobile, but i can't call back, it's dead in communication now.
    Strange things happens now.

Is your phone in another language? You should normally see 2 or 3 options.
    1. Dual Mode
    2. UMTS
    3. GSM
Maybe you could try reseting the phone if nothing else works.
Always remember to backup your phone before performing resets as your data may be lost.
    Try these
*#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default
    *#7370# - Reformat your phone

  • E61: sip problem with Gizmo, cannot make call

I register for Gizmo few days ago. I cannot make any call out (to 411, 1-747xxx numbers, any landline, any mobile )
I cannot hear the other side, but the other side hears my voice
    what's wrong?
I'm using the latest v3 firmware

I have some problems with Gizmo as well. Not exactly the same problem as yours. In my case, initiating a call takes too long (~1 minute). I would recommend trying Truphone. It is another SIP-based app; and in my opinion, much better than Gizmo.

  • N95 V20 Welcome Note/Logo BUG!

    Hello Everyone
After I upgraded to V20 from V11, I have this bug. Welcome Note /Logo does not work properly anymore.
Forexample; If I write a text to show up when the phone boots, some times (one in 10) it does not show up, the blue NOKIA logo appears then goes right in to the standby screen!
Similarly, sometimes even my default "HandShake" screen is skipped by the phone, and the phone goes right in to the standby screen...
Anyone else is experiencing this? Should I be concerned? I re-installed the firmware twice and it is still doing this.
    Thanx.

It's nothing to do with the year, it's just a bug that appeared in recent firmwares.
The N96 had the bug in v10 and v11 but it was fixed in v12.
The N95, N95 8GB and N82 all have this bug in v31. I believe the 6110n also has this bug.  There have been many posts about it already this year.
The issue is caused by the alarm clock and only effects users that set the alarm before midnight and switch their phones off.
Can you provide any links to any posts on this forum that shows a 5800xm with this issue?  Some 5800xm's have an issue with losing a few minutes every now and then but it's not the same bug as the other models.

  • Nokia N95-1 - Main Camera & Accelerometer Problems...

Over on our forums, N95users.com/forum, there is a steady increase in members experiencing these problems where their main camera, and accelerometer do not work as they should.
This is with the N95-1 model.
Several members have reported that since upgrading their handsets firmware to V30, they lost the use of their main camera, and when enabling ASR, (Auto Screen Rotation) the phone either freezes, or crashes, and ends up going round in a continuous loop, with the only way to resolve the issue is to remove the battery, as trying to switch off the device does not work.
At first, when I first started reading about members experiencing this issue, I assumed, that these members may of dropped their N95 at some point, causing hardware damage to the Accelerometer, which we know the main camera uses also, thus resulting in the combination of the two issues.
Now that there are more several registered members experiencing these problems after upgrading their firmware to either V30, or V31, not to mention many other owners no doubt who are not registered, I can only post here in the hope that someone in the know at Nokia may read this, and investigate the issue further, and try and resolve it in a future firmware release.
Its clearly a firmware related problem, hence my posting here on behalf of all the members of our forums who have posted for help, and advice with these issues.
I will link this thread within N95users.com and try, and get as many members to post up in here too, in the hope they will be heard.
If you own an N95-1, and also have experienced these problems as detailed above, please reply in this thread please.
    Thanks

Own an N95.? Join us over on www.N95users.com/forum

Hi there! I've manage to solve my problem! I've bought the back camera (of a N95-2) and the front camera and installed them on my N95-1. And now works fine.
I've noticed that I couldn't hear the click associated with the opening of the shutter. So I knew there was something wrong with the back camera. I saw the opportunity of nice deal on E-Bay, of N95-2 5Mpx camera, and it’s the same for the N95-1. I’ve got it on the phone and the accelerometer and the back camera worked perfectly. But the front camera continued not to work, it appeared 9999 photos left (or something like that) and I couldn’t see an image. I’ve bought a new one, from E-bay, also, and now everything in the phone works perfectly for the past few weeks.
Note that I’m using the 31.0.17 firmware. But this is kind of strange, because both cameras stopped working after firmware update. I don’t know if they were damaged during the update process. For now I’ll stick to this firmware leaving updates alone.
Best Regards, and hope this info can help anyone!
PS: I’m Portuguese so, sorry for my bad English.
